Inconsistent information listed

When I go into Network Discovery | Device List | All Types | List All or
Window types
it will show a list with IP addresses. Not much information shown on
this page, ie: no User, Name or Product = Unknown. Except for the ZAM
server it will show the User and display the Product Name = System type.
When I click on a known IP address it will show Asset Information, not
much detail on this page. No User.
But when I click on the Asset Mgmt Client _7.50.0011_ it will show great
detail with User, the type of System (Dell OptiPlex GX270).
Wondering why the User or Name doesn't show up on the List All or
Windows screen or the Asset Information screen.

No worry.
Well, I have 5 network discoveries set to run every Mon, Wed & Fri at 5
different times for my 5 different branch subnets.
Firewalls are down on the workstations.
Should I delete some items out of network discovery then let it rediscover?

  • How to Update Picture column in User Information List?

    Hi,
    The user updated his profile picture in mysite about 10 days ago. The updated picture is shown on his mysite but the same is not in sync with User Information List. The 2 timer job which takes care of the profile synchronization are scheduled as below:
    Profile Synchronization : hourly
    Quick Profile Synchronization : every 2 minutes
    And both the timer job status are shown as successful, yet the picture url is not updated.
    Can anyone kindly let me know is there any way to update the same manually.
    Please note that the version of SharEPoint is 2007 and Windows server 2003.

    Hi Sheetal Lomate,
    It is correct to check the profile synchronization jobs to make sure profile information syncs between user profiles and user information list.
    If it is still not synced, please use the following stsadm command:
    stsadm –o sync –listolddatabases <x number of days>
    If one or more content databases show up in this list, clean up the list, they can be added to the list again:
    stsadm –o sync –deleteolddatabases <x number of days>

  • User profile service not updating 'Title' in user information list

    Hi,
    In our SharePoint farm, following two user profile sync timer jobs are successfully running but not updating the 'Title' in the hidden user information list.
    User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization
    User Profile to SharePoint Quick Synchronization.
    Can someone point me to the right direction? Please note that I don't want to use powershell script shown here to update the 'Title' in the user information list -

    Hi,
    There are two jobs, User Profile to SharePoint Quick Sync and User Profile to SharePoint Full Sync, that synchronize the User Profile database information with the user information list. Sometimes this stops working (properly) and in that case
    you need to run:
    Stsadm.exe –o sync –listolddatabases 0
    Stsadm.exe –o sync –deleteolddatabases 0
    The first command will display all the databases and when they have been sync’d last.
    The second command will delete the records corresponding to those databases (it doesn't delete databases/end user data).
    Anyways, running this will basically tell the timer jobs that they have never sync’d and force them to carry on as if it’s the first time.
    Go to Central Admin and fire off the User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization
    job.

    How can you modify the displayed columns on a Related Information List? For example, how could you add the "Type" column to the List of columns displayed for Service Requests when you are viewing the Contacts Detail page?

    I'd have to say I think this is one of the biggest flaws in the OnDemand system currently. The solution I have come up with is to create reports and put them in webapplets showing the data I want to show. I have then removed the standard Related Info List Objects and added weblinks to create new records as the button on the List object is also gone.
    Keep in mind that doing this does slow things down a little, so it may not work if you have a big user base.

    I identified the issue
    "camlqry.set_viewXml"  is a method (camlqry.set_viewXml()) not a property (as apposed to C#).
    The above should be like "camlqry.set_viewXml(querystring)" instead of "camlqry.set_viewXml =qrystring".

    How did you validate the work e-mail?
    I recommend to set another text field to get the email of the user from User Information List and then use the text field for validation.
    Could you please provide an example of your requirement for reproducing this issue?

  • Sharepoint 2010 Content Deployemnt Job issue with duplicate fields in User information List

    Hi friends,
    I am facing below issue with the content deployment job.
    It was working earlier. But now since from couple of days all the content deployment jobs in production environment are failing with below error.
    Field name already exists. The name used for this field is already used by another field in the list. Select another name and try again.
    ObjectName="User Information List".
    When I check the fields in User information list in targeted site, I found couple of columns are dupicate like "ask me about",first name","Last name" etc.
    Do i Need to drop target site collection or recreate with fresh content deployment job.
    Please suggest.

    According to your post, my understanding is that you got duplicate field error.
    Based on the error message, you can try to use the following code sample to remove duplicate records, and check whether it works:

    My application was working fine some time back. I am not sure what has changed.I am receiving following error :
    A message received by adapter "FILE" on receive location "FILE Edi_Receive_Location_EANDIS" with URI "C:\AMR46783\OUT\*.edi" is suspended.
     Error details: There was a failure executing the receive pipeline: "Umix.Van.Pipeline.Custom_Receive_BackupEdi_Pipeline, Umix.Van.PipelineModule, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7e83b13ccba9e75d" Source: "EdiDecoder" Receive Port: "FILE_Custom_Receive_Port" URI: "C:\AMR46783\OUT\*.edi" Reason: Loading property information list by namespace failed or property not found in the list. Verify that the schema is deployed properly. 
     Any help would be appreciated.

    When using custom or 3ed party Adapter you might receive this message "Loading property information list by namespace failed or property not found
    in the list" in the event log”
    Usually this error caused by when deleting default application (BizTalk Application 1) that used to store message context
     property field schemas that are provided by adapter vendor to
    You can solve this problem by simply reinstall the adapter or selecting repair adapter option. Or GACing and deploying required property files
    manually.

    We are facing issue in BizTalk 2010 837 Institutional claim process. The Error is “Loading property information list by namespace failed or property not found in the list. Verify that the schema is deployed properly”.
    We have used Custom Pipeline component to update the promoted property like MessageType. When we drop the XML File in Receive Location it generates the XML file through Pipeline but promoted property MessageType is not updated in Receive Location and throw
    the error as mentioned.
    We have the schema which is not duplicate as well as different version.
    Could you please help on this issue.

    There are two issues here.
    “Loading property information list by namespace failed or property not found in the list. Verify that the schema is deployed properly” issue is normally due to the deployment issues. This more often occurs when you have same schema with multiple
    version and this issue is due to the sequence/order in which these two schemas are deployed. If you run the following SQL query in your BizTalk management db replacing it with your target namespace of the schema deployed

    FROM bt_XMLShare
    WHERE target_namespace like N'http://YourTaggetNameSpace'
    You shall see two version of the same schema listed and both of them should have Activate flag set to 1. If any of the schemas is set to 0, then you will have the above mentioned issues. This is due to the way the different versions of the schemas are deployed.
    You can undeply both the version, deploy them together or deploy the older version first and the later version later.
    And for another issue of custom property not updating the MessageType property, debug the pipeline component code. This issue has no direct impact to the above issue. If you you’re your Message Type to be updated and if it’s not getting changed, then debug
    the code and check why its not been updated.

I created a style with numbered list but when I apply it to the second list on another page of my document list numbering continues from last number of previous list (in consecutive order).     I’ve created numbered list style (body text) that has no number at LEVEL 1 and use that to restart the numbering (see 2 JPG)
    Secondly, I’ve also created the Numbered List style as Dominic Hurley advises:

    Hello Razvi444,
    it is not clear what you are trying to accomplish, but for your information User Information List could be find under <your_site>/_layouts/15/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0. If you would
    like to display all user on the page you need to develop a custom web part and using the aforementioned URL all user could be displayed on your page.
    Or you could also edit the page and insert a link (/_layouts/15/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0), set a description. SharePoint will name it people.aspx. After that you could "Edit Source" and rename it accordingly.

    I wrote code for getting user details based on username. I am fetching data from user profile using user profile service. But recently I came to know about "user information list" which stores same data as that of user profile.
    So, My question is which will be better choice : user profile service OR user information list to get user information ?

    User Information list has limitation, firstly its hidden, it can be viewed only administrators.
    Also you will face issue when you migrate your application to SharePoint 2013.
    If you want quick way of know who has permissions you can use this list, but sometime you may end up with outdated user profile(properties) information. 
    Better try to use User profile service wherever possible.

    When I send or receive an email the date, to, from and subject line are fine but after that there is all of this encrypted information that is listed. I do not know what this information is called, how this information started showing up, I do not want it to be there and I do not want it to print every time I print an email. It takes up a whole page and it is longer than the actual email I am receiving or sending?

  • I can only see additional information listed in contacts, such as information entered in the title section of the contact when i hit edit.

    i am using IOS7.  Prior to IOS7, i was able to see all the information i included in my contacts such as the membership number of Enterprise car rental.  After loading IOS7, i pulled up the Enterprise contact and didn't see the membership number.  Only after i hit edit to put the number in the Title section was i able to see that the membership number was already present in the Title section; it just doesn't show up when the contact is pulled up.  I have noticed this same issue with other contacts such as my airline membership contacts.  Has anyone experienced this problem and how did you fix it?

    The iPhone remembers information about previous contacts.
    Complelely independently, you have a Contacts app with a contacts list.  It sounds like your contacts list has 3 names on it.  You need to add a few names.
