Inconsistent log
hi frnds when i am trying to recreate the control file i got these errors.Iam not getting any idea to what to do.
SQL> @ctl
CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE "ZAK2" NORESETLOGS ARCHIVELOG
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01503: CREATE CONTROLFILE failed
ORA-01229: data file 67 is inconsistent with logs
ORA-01110: data file 67: '/oradatazak2/oradata/img/img15ZAK2.dbf'
with regards
ramya
ORA-01229 data file string is inconsistent with logs
Cause: The datafile in the accompanying error is inconsistent with the contents
of the logs given in the CREATE CONTROLFILE command. The most likely
cause is that one or more of the online logs was missing from the command. It is
also possible that one or more of the logs is an old copy rather than the current
version. All online log files must be listed in the command and must be the
current versions of the online logs.
Action: Find the correct online logs or use the RESETLOGS option.

Dataguard - Primary not applying logs to Standby
Having an issue applying logs to the standby, seemingly it's not setup correctly. I am sure I'm missing something simple here, but would love any input or help. Thanks in advance.

SSL and 10gAS Form/Reports Services standalone
Successfully installed 10g Forms and Reports Services standalone (without Infrastructure). Successfully created a new Reports Service and it has been running OK (with some bugs crashing/restarting reports occasionally, inconsistent web-based information, inconsistent logs). Next step is to get certificate for this SSL working. Note 250532.1 does not help our environment since we don't use Infrastructure. Even tried to use the Command C:\OraHome1\jdk\bin\keytool to begin with certificate but it just does not work. Oracle tech support told me SSL is not yet for standalone FR Services.
I'd like to know if anyone has other suggestion/experience about configuring SSL on a standalone FR Services to make https working.
Thanks.Here you go. Here is how to make a 9.0.4 Forms and Report Services only install SSL enabled.
1. Open Enterprise Manager.
2. Disable Web Cache component.
2a. optionally stop Enterprise Manager service to save resources.
3. Edit httpd.conf file.
3a. On line before ClearModuleList, add this:
LoadModule ossl_module modules/ApacheModuleOSSL.DLL
3b. Now after the last AddModule which is just before "<IfDefine SSL>", add this line:
AddModule mod_ossl.c
3c. Make sure you have these two lines:
Listen 80
Listen 443
If you have something else like Listen 7777, you can remove these.
3d. Now add these lines just before "SetEnv PERL5LIB":
<IfModule mod_ossl.c>
AddType application/x-x509-ca-cert .crt
AddType application/x-pkcs7-crl .crl
SSLPassPhraseDialog builtin
SSLSessionCache shmcb:logs\ssl_scache(512000)
SSLSessionCacheTimeout 300
SSLMutex sem
SSLLog logs\ssl_engine_log
SSLLogLevel warn
<VirtualHost default:443>
DocumentRoot C:\orahome1\Apache\Apache\htdocs
ServerName server.yourdomain.com
ServerAdmin [email protected]
ErrorLog logs/error_log
TransferLog "logs/access_log"
Port 443
SSLEngine on
SSLCipherSuite SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5:SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA:SSL_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA:SSL_RSA_WITH_DES_CBC_SHA:SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5:SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA
SSLWallet file:C:\OraHome1\Apache\Apache\conf\ssl.wlt\default
<Files ~ "\.(cgi|shtml)$">
SSLOptions +StdEnvVars
</Files>
<Directory cgi-bin>
SSLOptions +StdEnvVars
</Directory>
SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown
CustomLog logs/ssl_request_log "%t %h %{SSL_PROTOCOL}x %{SSL_CIPHER}x \"%r\" %b"
</VirtualHost>
Listen 443
</IfModule>
As you can tell, this is on a Windows server so you'll need to change the location of the default wallet to the correct directory. On Windows, a default wallet with a cert is provided.
Save the httpd.conf file and restart the HTTP_Server. HTTP and HTTPS now works. HTTPS should prompt you that the cert doesn't match but it is listening.
Get your wallet configured now and install it. Restart HTTP_Server and you are done.
That SSL section was borrowed from a test install of 9.0.2.3 that had all of that included. I'm sure you could do the same by borrowing from a full install of 9.0.4.
Now you could use WebCache which is pretty straight forward. Look on Metalink if you don't want to turn off WebCache on how to configure a wallet with it. I prefer to use Apache SSL but that is just me. :) -

ALE third party: User name in change log of PO item is updated inconsistently
Hello,
We're running third party process, where changes in SO item are auto updated into PO item via workflow. Normally, user who changed SO item is updated in change log of PO item. However, there are several cases where workflow user is updated in PO item change log. There seems to be an inconsistency here. Do you have any idea? I've searched SAP Note but could not find any.
Thanks,
Duc.Hello Jurgen,
Checking data in system, I found one thing:
if change document of PO item is created later than change document of SO item, change user in PO item is workflow user; in the other hand, if change document of PO item and SO item are created at same time, change user in PO item is same as change user in SO item.
So I guess root cause of issue is: Change User in PO change log depends on which task system is doing (updating SO item or updating PO item) at the time the log is recorded; due to this, the t-code in log is also different (ME22 for workflow user and VA02 for normal user).
Is it correct?

Duc. -
Inconsistency TemSe -- Batch input logs
Hi folks,
in our system there is an inconsistency between the TST01 table and APQL table. APQL has a lot more entries than TST01.
Now I tried to reorganize the batch input logs with reports RSBDC_REORG and RSBDCREO. Unfortunately both reports use function module BDC_PROTOCOL_DELETE which performs a rollback work in case an inconsistency in TemSe is detected. Seems like RSBDCREO used function module BDC_TEMSE_REMOVE in former times which doesn't do the rollback but not anymore.
I also found report RSBDCTL3 but this one deletes all the batch input logs of the client. So this one is of no use for me.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to clean my APQL table?
Regards,
BastianThis one checks table TST01 and has a rollback included in case of inconsistencies.....
As already stated in my first posting.
Other suggestions welcome.

Apparent inconsistency in Console Log reporting of modem activity
I have a MAC Pro using (in this case) 10.4.11. It has an internal "on hold modem."
When I connect to the internet, the Console Log consistently and reliably adds this item:
"Dec 23 00:13:42 jpnoaks-7500 /System/Library/Extensions/IOSerialFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/InternalModemSu pport.kext/Contents/Resources/AppleModemOnHold.app/Contents/MacOS/AppleModemOnHo ld: MOHServiceAddedProc >>\n"
HOWEVER, if I'm already connected and there's an incoming call, SOMETIMES an identical item is added in the Console Log and SOMETIMES nothing is added. The "on hold" features of the modem otherwise appear to behave normally.
Is there a ready explanation for this inconsistent behavior? It happens even when successive incoming calls are from the same phone and when an incoming call is from a phone that has never before called (although I'm not entirely certain about the latter).
Obviously, I'm trying to track modem activity using the Console Log.
TIAI'm still not absolutely certain about this, but it would appear that there's no Console Log entry added if the incoming call is from a phone
number that called in recently. How recently? -- I don't know.
One way I can see that this would be normal behavior would be if the computer keeps a record of incoming phone numbers and doesn't
report any event involving that number in the Console Log until the record is refreshed, which could be every hour, day, or whatever.
Is it possible the computer is keeping a record of incoming phone numbers? -

Date format inconsistent in log files
Hi All,
I have a cluster spread accross 4 machines(4 different physical boxes).
In three of the machines, the log format is ,
<17/1/2010>
while in the fourth on it is like,
<Jan 17 >
We require the log format in the form <17/1/2010>
Any help or suggestion???
Thanks.Usually, this is due to a localization difference in the JVMs. When WLS boots, the .log file should show you some detailed information about the locale it is using, make sure that is consistent across the machines.

Inconsistency in the log files
Hi,
I ran 2 requests today and the log file that comes up are from some other program run in May 2008. Any clues?Click on Next Page (Or Last Page), can you can see the information relevant to the request you have submitted today?
Looks like the same log file name already exist on the server, so the log of the newly concurrent request was appended to the old one. -
Logging HTTP and/or SOAP packets in standalong OC4J v10.1.3.2
I'm running OC4J standalone v10.1.3.2 on RH5 linux. I'd like to know how to turn on logging so that all incoming HTTP data can be viewed.
I've basically got a Web Service which is failing to execute from some clients (but not all) due to a SOAP11 version mismatch problem. If I could see the incoming HTTP and/or SOAP request then I could determine where the inconsistency is coming from.
Here's an extract of the returned SOAP error:
<faultcode>env:VersionMismatch</faultcode>
<faultstring>Version Mismatch</faultstring>
<faultactor>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/actor/next</faultactor>
I've tried editing j2ee-logging.xml and set the logging level to FINEST and TRACE but it's still not logging out the HTTP traffic.
Any ideas welcomed,
ThanksAndy,
Which log files are you looking at? There is a server.log that will be impacted when you set the logging level to FINEST. Since you want to look at http requests, have you considered using Fiddler on the client side? It's pretty verbose but you can see all sorts of info including data posted to forms.
-Michael
PS
URL:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/htdocs/oc4j-logging-debugging-technote.htmlTake a look at the "Debug Options in OC4J" section. There are several HTTP debugging options listed.

NULL in primary keys NOT logged to exceptions table
Problem: Inconsistent behavior when enabling constraints using the "EXCEPTIONS INTO" clause. RDBMS Version: 9.2.0.8.0 and 10.2.0.3.0
- NULL values in primary keys are NOT logged to exceptions table
- NOT NULL column constraints ARE logged to exceptions table
-- Demonstration
-- NULL values in primary keys NOT logged to exceptions table
TRUNCATE TABLE exceptions;
DROP TABLE t;
CREATE TABLE t ( x NUMBER );
INSERT INTO t VALUES ( NULL );
ALTER TABLE t
ADD ( CONSTRAINT tpk PRIMARY KEY (x) EXCEPTIONS INTO exceptions );
SELECT * FROM exceptions; -- returns no rows
-- NOT NULL column constraints logged to exceptions table
TRUNCATE TABLE exceptions;
DROP TABLE t;
CREATE TABLE t ( x NUMBER );
INSERT INTO t VALUES ( NULL );
ALTER TABLE t MODIFY ( X NOT NULL EXCEPTIONS INTO EXCEPTIONS );
SELECT * FROM exceptions; -- returns one row
I would have expected all constraint violations to be logged to exceptions. I was not able to find any documentation describing the behavior I describe above.
Can anyone tell me if this is the intended behavior and if so, where it is documented?
I would also appreciate it if others would confirm this behavior on their systems and say if it is what they expect.
Thanks.
- Doug
