Incorrect PDS in APO

Dear All ,
After CIFFED BOM and Routing from ERP, PDS is not showing ACTIVITY and OPERATION (APO-PPDS).
It is only showing Components and Configuration.
Can any body guide to correct the same??
Regards,
NS

Hi Vipul ,
I have Checked the folllowing
1. Integration Model for Resource/Work center is active on ERP side
2. Resource is created in APO and assigned to model 000
3. All production version status in ECC are green
I deleted the PDS IN APO (/SAPAPO/CULL_RTO_DEL ) and tried again to transfer using Curto_create.
Message "Resource xxxxxxxx does not exist" appearing and no PDS generation in APO whereas the Resource is available in APO and also assigned to Model 000.
It seems there is data inconsistency related to ECC and SCM and tried resolving using /SAPAPO/OM17 but no sucess.
Can you please guide further now??
Thanks ..

    Hi Subhash,
Pls check the CIF application log to see details of CIF queue failures.
    also check for below checkpoints.
Have you transferred the product-location combination?
Have you transferred the resources used in routing/recipe ?
Do the operations in routing have >0 machine time?
Are relevant material , resource integration model active?
Is production version checked and maintained?

  • Master recipes operations not getting transfered in SNP PDS to APO from R3

    Hello APO Gurus,
I am trying to transfer SNP PDS for master receipes from R3 to APO.
    Issue description::
The operation is not getting transfered correctly , some system default operation "010 generated Operation (from Planned Delive)" is getting generated in APO, also activity and resource capacity is not getting transfered. This situation exist for one plant 1000, for other plant 1100 the SNP PDS created correctly.
    i have following points:
    1. Is there some customizing setting missing on R3 or APO side  for plant 1000 tbefore SNP PDS transfer
    2. What need to be checked on master recipes data in R3,
i have checked on below points
    1. FG Materials and all the Component Material to be in APO in a Active Integration Model.
    2. BOM & Routing and Production Version setup correctly.
    3. The Routing Operations have to Relevant to 'SCHEDULING'.
    4. Try deleting the existing Integration model for materials & re-create new IM & activate.
Please help me to send SNP PDS correctly to APO to take heuristic run.

    Hi,
It is good that you have given your already checked points.
Please check the following things also and try to retransfer the PDS.
    1. Check your resource in ECC, whether you have maintained the Process formula.
    2. Check you have maintained some values in Master Recipe for processing time
    3. Check whether the resource has been transferred for your plant 1000 to APO and an active IM exists.
    4. Also check the type of the resource transferred to APO. It should be a single-mixed/ multi-mixed or bucket resource.
Hope this will help you to solve the issue.

  • Deletion PDS in APO

    Hi
Could some one throw light on how to delete PDS structures in APO.
I have PDS created on plant and vendor as well.I would like to delete the PDS at plants.
Tried with the standard report /SAPAPO/CULL_DELETE_RTO but it deletes the PDS on vendor locations but not on plant.
Then I tried with display PDS structures program where I could delete the rows but could not save the same.
    Any inputs are higly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Chakravarthy.A

    Hello Chakravarthy,
The PDS's cannot be deleted from the display transaction.
and the only way to delete them in APO is to use the standard report.
from R/3 you can delete the production versions which you want to delete & run the transaction CURTO_CREATE with the check box 'deletion flag' checked for the production versions which you deleted.
This will make sure that the PDS's are deleted in APO.
but, I do not understand why you are facing problem in deleting the PDSs in the plant also.
you can try entering both vendor and plant in the location input field and try.

  • Production Version in R/3 & PDS in APO

    Hi Team,
I have below master data settings in R/3:
    1. Material Master
    2. BOM
    Note:
I do not have work center & routing in R/3. I have set the default operation for my order type in OPJG.
But as per system landscape, the planning will be performed in APO. Hence i need to CIF the production version to APO from R/3. But i do not have routing in R/3. Is it possible to create the production version without routing (in R/3)?
    Thanks

Yes, It can be transferred. You need to create CIF integration model(CFM1) with "BOM" option selected.
    SAP Help says following -
    Material BOM in Integration Model
If you set this indicator, all bills of material that correspond to the
stated selection options are indcluded in your model.
    Dependencies
The material BOM filter object can only be used in connection with the
production data structure (iPPE) and it is used to map phantom assemblies.
Only those bills of material are transferred for materials for which no
production production versions have been created.
    Hope this will help.
    Thank you

  • Can we use SNP PDS in Multi level ATP ?

    Hi All,
We do CTM planning with existing SNP PDS In APO and now we want to explore to use the Multi level ATP functionality for GATP.  I know, MATP can create the ATP trees if the stock is not available and these can be converted into PPDS order.
My question is, can we use SNP PDS for this purpose?
    Thanks,
    Abhilasha

    Hi Abhilasha,
There is no such specific mention anywhere in the literature that you cannot use SNP PDS for MATP. The only downside to using SNP PDS is that SNP PDS are meant for mid to long term planning and the activities/operations in SNP PDS are usually not in detail i.e only important activities or bottle neck components are usually used which will not always facilitate detailed scheduling.
On the other hand MATP creates ATP tree structures by plan exlosion(which can be SNP/PDS) and saves the requirements groups(component requirements of header level) with dates/qts and source of supply. It uses PPDS component to convert these ATP tree structures into PPDS planned orders depending on the conversion horizon/requirements dates. It does that by reading the source of supply, requirements dates and quantities from ATP tree structure and by plan explosion.
When MATP planned orders are created you should no longer plan them with automatic planning run as that will cause re-explosion of the plan and might cause incorrect down stream requirements if you had had substitutions at component leve during MATP check. In planned orders, you have an option of changing the allowed sources of supply (in source of supply section). But for orders created by MATP, you will not be allowed to change the source of supply field from SNP PDS to PPDS PDS in the planned order because it will re-explode the plan. So you can decide for yourself if you can use SNP PDS as source of supply for PPDS planned orders.
    Hope that answers your question.

    Mohan

  • When I create a Planned order using PDS, the Setup time is coming as 0.

We have been using PPMs for a long time, and now we are trying to migrate to PDS.
We are currently in SCM 7.0.
I successfully created the PDS in APO (using CIF from R/3). In the PDS (in APO), for a particular activity, I see the  activity type is "S", and the Activity Duratiion (Fixed) is 43,200 Seconds.
However, when I create a planned order using this PDS, the activity time is zero (End time = Start Time).
When we use the PPM the setup time comes correctly.
    Any help will be appreciated..

    Senthil,
    Thanks for your views.
I have checked all that you have suggested, and it is okay. The issue still persists.
One thing that I noticed was that it is working fine in the old SCM 5.0 environment - the setup time is coming correctly in the planned order.
However, we have this issue in the new SCM 7.0 environment. Is there something that is different in SCM 7.0 in terms order explosion ?

  • Messages OM011 & RRP251 in APO

    Hi experts,
I am working with RECIPE in R/3 and PDS in APO, if I do not use in R/3 the  Setup Family (setup type key and group) I CAN create process orders in APO whitout any problema,  but if I use the Setup Family (setup type key and group) in R/3 and they travel to APO with the PDS I CAN NOT create  process orders in APO, I get the following 2 messages:
    Message 1: Invalid time interval
    Message no. /SAPAPO/OM011
Message 2: Error occurred while creating order
    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP251
Why I have problems when I use the Setup Family?
    How I can solve them?
I need to use the Setup Family because I need to use the optimizer in APO
    Regards,
    Arnulfo Cordero Pradel

Arnulfo, The missing bit in your message is whether you have created the setup matrices again in SCM after the setup group transfer from R/3.
Also check whether your PDS has a production activity w/o fail in addition to your setup activity. Possible reason of the OM011 error is if a setup activity does not have a successor as production activity also order creation will not happen. The mention of rrp251 with om011 messages as in your query can happen for such a scenario.

  • Can we get Multiple production versions in APO

    Hi,
Is there  a way to get multiple production versions into APO, as the info record( we are using) is what drive the creation of the PDS in APO from ECC
Is there a way to find out how we can have multiple production versions in APO.
    Thanks
    Maddy

    Maddy,
Standard functionality in APO is to support multiple production versions.
Production Versions are a standard object in ECC.  They consist of a combination of a Bill of Materials, a Routing, and a few other bits of data.  For a given material/plant combination in ECC, there can be many Production Versions.
Production Version - Repetitive Manufacturing (PP-REM) - SAP Library
These Production Versions are integrated in standard CIF via either Production Process Model or Production Data Structure.
Integration of Production Process Models - Integration of Master Data - SAP Library
Integration of Production Data Structures Generated from R/3 Mas - Integration of Master Data - SAP Library

  • Error in CIF-fing PDS stating:u2019 resource does not existu2019 nodata in CA80 too

    Hi,
There is new workcenter created in R/3.
That workcenter is not used anywhere in R/3. Checked in CA80 too.
But while CIF-fing PDS to APO, it is failing with error message that resource does not exist.
Even there is no product assign to it, and it is not relevant with any PDS.
It is not existed in APO.
    Regards,
    Krunal

    Hi Krunal,
Couple of things I would do.
    1. Try CIFing just the resource and see if it goes through.  Check if the resource is picked up in CFM1 in the first place. if not, there is some thing wrong with resource, may be not set to APO relevant
    2. If you see everything is ok on your side, check sap notes in service.sap.com/notes with the error message or message code.

  • Subcontracting process in APO

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a typical subconracting process in APO as in R/3.
    Questions:
    1-Do I have to create a resource in R/3?
    2-Do I have to create a routing in R/3?
3-Do I have to create a subcontracting location except vendor location?
4-How should I transfer bom and routing, as PDS or BOM?
I created bom, routing, production version. I transfer it to APO. I receive no error but I do not see PDS in APO. Can anyone please help?
    Thanks,
    E

Not sure if you are asking in PPDS or SNP context.
    The procedures are slightly different
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata/en/f7/626f39ff1ee32ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm
You always have a choice to create master data like PPM in APO instead of specifically creating in R/3 and CIFing to APO.   PDS however would need to be created in R/3 and CIFed to APO.
    Important points:
    1. Have to create a Subcontracting Purchase Inforecord that will create a TLane on cifing PIR. So PIR needs to be in an active integration model
    2. Have the Subcontracting Vendor in an active integration model
    3. Have the plant and material in active integration models
    4. If you take PDS route, have the PDS in active integration model. If you take PPM route, you have a choice of creating it in APO/R3.

  • Problem in transferring a PDS

    Hi All:
I am trying to transfer a PDS to APO - I have a BOM, Routing and created a Production Version.  When I run the PDS_MAINT, I see the PDS but I do not see any data in <Component Data> tab and in <Operat. Data> tab.  When I activate the CIF model, it terminates. The production Version compiles and have a green status.  What am I doing wrong?  Pl. let me know.

    Hi,
Befoe you CIF PDS there are few check points you need to make.
    1. Using CFC9 check you have selected  type single resouce (4) and type Multiresouce (5)
    2. Check all the BOM compoonents required for APO planning has MRP type 'X0'
    3. Check if you have mainatined workcenter correctly. Selected right control key udner default values tab. Assigned right factory calendar.
    4. Check your routing header details - General data - Status >> 4 (Released (general))
    5. Check all the operations has setup time and produce time. Also check if operations use different workcenters assign them correctly.
    6. Check the production version assignment - routing and Bom has green check. Also check the  under planning data - Detaild planning  select Routing and assing right group and group counter.
    7. First Cif all the BOM components to APO.
    8. CIF resouce.
    9. Then CIF production version. Select right PDS type, Production version, Routing select - Detailed planning.
If you have maintained and verifed  all this check points you will be able to CIF PDS.

  • Role of KMAT in PDS

    Hi,
Can somebody explain me what is the role of material type KMAT in PDS? KMAT is material type "Configurable Material" in ECC. How is this related to PDS? Should  I have it mandatorily in my BOM?
I would appreciate any links to documentation.
    Thanks.

    Hello Visu,
One can generate a PDS for configurable material.
In APO for a product, 2 types of classification are supported.
    1. CDP.
    2. Variant Configuration.
BOM can be created for a configurable material and using this -> a producion version and this can be transferred as a PDS to APO.
When creating an order one can specify the characteristic values for the order. ( Characterisics which are part of the class which is used to classify the material in R/3)
before creating the PDS one should make sure the classification being used has been integrated to APO.
One can also use Object Dependencies in BOM when using KMAT to select the relevant components( having related characteristic values) automatically.
and these object dependencies will also be transferred to APO and will be part of the PDS when it is created.

  • Does standard CIF transfer WBS BOM to APO

    Folks
Through CA71, WBS BOM can be created by providing WBS element, Materal, plant, BOM usage. I had created a routing as well.
Does the standard CIF support transferring WBS BOM (Work Break down structure) to APO?
Through R3, there is a transaction, CURTO_CREATE_FOCUS, which manually transfers WBS BOM as PPDS PDS into APO.
R3 Path for CURTO_CREATE_FOCUS : Logistics ->Central Functions ->Supply Chain Planning Interface ->Core Interface Advanced Planning and Optimization ->Integration Model ->Change Transfer ->Production Data Structure (PDS) ->Transfer Order BOM/WBS BOM.
Now I am trying to know if thee is a possibility or feature that SAP offers to trasfer the WBS BOM, can upon its creation in R3 instead of manually trigeering the CURTO_CREATE_FOCUS program.
Would appreciate if anyone can let me know if this is possible and if so the process, config invloved.
    Thanks

To transfer it automatically , please  create a variant for the program :CURTO_CIF_CREATE_FOCUS_RTO and do background scheduling  with your CIF job.

  • PDS: field to identify last change in ERP

    Dear all,
is there a way to see in the PDS master data fields in APO (we are on SCM 5.0), if the corresponding BOM in ERP has changed?
We are using CIF delta transfer for BOMs, however it seems that the "last change" date of the PDS in APO is always updated, even if no change happened.
Once a week we are doing a initial transfer of the BOMs, so afterwards anyway the last change date in APO is always updated with the date of the initial transfer, even if the BOM has not changed.
Basically what I am asking for is a field in the PDS which indicates the last change date of a BOM in ERP, and not the last CIF (delta) date.
    Thanks!
    Christian

    Hello Siva,
    Thanks for the reply.
Currently the issue there is no change in any of the fields. I think thsi is the reason why the PAI is not called. Only in the PAI we have set screen to 0 and leave.
Without any change in the screen elements how do i force it to enter the PAI
    or
when i call a screen statement as Call 102, how do i ensure that it returns to the call routine back irrespective of the PAI being executed.
    thanks and regards,
    Shylaja
