Increase Number of Decimal Points on % summarized field in Cross Tab?

Hi,
I have a cross tab that I have added a "% of COUNT " summarized field to, but I want to show the percentage to 2 decimal places (DP) and make the rounding more accurate. Currently the rounding means the % values do not actually total to 100%.
I assumed this would be as simple as changing the formatting of the field to increase the 'Decimals' property to 1.00 and the rounding to 0.01.
However when I save the changes are not reflected in my cross tab? It still shows them with 0dp? e.g. 60%
Is it possible to get % values in a cross tab showing to 2dp? e.g. 59.82%
Thanks

Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with your directly
Formatting is for viewing only. Using formulae to manually round the values.

  • Setting number of decimal points using double

    Is it possible to set the number of decimal points
    e.g.
    double a = 2 * Math.random() - 1;
    If I print this it would show something like 0.2342345434332.
    What I want to do is show 0.234.
    Is this possible?

    here you go, you can run this small program to test the results for yourself...
    import java.text.DecimalFormat;
    public class floatTest{
         public static void main( String args[]){
    DecimalFormat threeDig =  new DecimalFormat("0.000");
          double a = 2 * Math.random() - 1;

    Hello Steven, yes you can compare summary fields, If you are comparing Summary to Target, or vice versa - you can do it within Crystal Reports.
    1. In Suppress conditional formula, create 2 Global variables: CurrentOutlook and CurrentTarger and get the current value.
    2. In Display String formula for Total show ToText(CurrentTarget/CurrentOUtlook) + "%".
    For more difficult cases of compariing fields in cross--tab, you may look into http://www.relasoft.net/KB10001.html.

  • Dynamic displaying of decimal points for currency field in ALV

    Hi,
            In ALV output there is a currency field and displaying data of different countries. It should display decimal point according to the country's currency. But at a time it can display data of different countries.

    Hi Dilip,
    I think your question is about currencies with different number of digits after decimal point. If you have the currency field in the ALV row, you have to give it's name as currency reference for the value field in the field catalog.
    After creating the field catalog, call a form and do something like this (change fielnames accordingly).
    <pre>
    *&      Form  alv_fieldcat_enhance
          Individual Enrichment of field catalog
    FORM alv_fieldcat_enhance
      CHANGING pt_alv_fieldcat TYPE slis_t_fieldcat_alv.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS:
        <alv_fieldcat> TYPE slis_fieldcat_alv.
      LOOP AT pt_alv_fieldcat ASSIGNING <alv_fieldcat>.
        IF <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname(5) = 'KBETR' OR
           <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname(5) = 'SKBTR' OR
           <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname(5) = 'DMBTR'.
    Company code currency
          <alv_fieldcat>-cfieldname = 'BWAER'.
    Document Currency for conditions, net value and taxes
        ELSEIF  <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname(5) = 'KWERT' OR
                <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname    = 'NETWR' OR
                <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname    = 'NPAX_MWST_AMNT'.
    Document Currency
          <alv_fieldcat>-cfieldname = 'WAERK'.
        ENDIF." <alv_fieldcat>-fieldname(5) = 'KBETR' or
      ENDLOOP." at pt_alv_fieldcat assigning <fieldcat_alv>.
    ENDFORM.                    " alv_fieldcat_enhance

    You may use the option
    field(.0) for printing the quantity
    field(.2) for printing the amount..
    Go through SAP help given below..
    <b>Number of Decimal Places

    &symbol(.N)&
    The EKPO-MENGE field contains the value 1234.56. The Dictionary definition specifies 3 decimal places and an output length of 17.
    &EKPO-MENGE& -> 1,234.560
    &EKPO-MENGE(.1) -> 1,234.6

  • Format Fields in Cross Tab and Calculated Members

    Hello:
    I have a cross Tab with a calculated member, I need to display one decimal or no decimal in some of the columns so I created a formula in the Display String option like this:
    if GridRowColumnValue ("@TestID_desc")= "ALK mg/L
    then
      Cstr(CurrentFieldValue, "0")
    else
      Cstr(CurrentFieldValue, "0.0")
    But, after I saved the formula the value in the calculated member colums disappears. Any ideas? Thank You in advance!

    right click on calculated field and go to format field and in number tab select customize button and write the condition for decimals.

  • Calculations based on Summarized data in Cross Tab

    First off, I'm pretty experienced with Crystal.
    I've run accross something that seems like it should be realy easy to do, and the sort of thing you would expect to do  in a cross tab... so maybe I'm missing something totally obvious.
    I'm doing a year over year comparison of some financial data broken down by month and by quarter.
    So, my Rows are Quarter, and a field called 'YEARMONTH' (calculated field, YYYYMM, for ease of sorting)
    My column is Year, and for summarized fields, I have the data field I'm interested in which is a float. Let's call it 'Dollars' for sake of argument.
    What I want to do is create a summary field (next to the total field) called 'Difference' or 'Delta' that calculates for reach row the difference between my two years (2008, and 2009)
    The only solution I can come up with is to dummy in a record from the datasource with a year value of 'Difference' and some other dummy values so that it will show up as a column on the cross tab, and then somehow use the currentrowcolum function or some such creature to mask the output in the column. but now that I type it out here, I'm not sure it's going to work. I also don't think it's going to export the way I want it to either.
    I'd really prefer it to be in a cross tab, and not in some manually created cross-tab emulation using manual running totals, but I'll go there if I have to.
    Thanks a ton!

    This is what I did in my report to get the difference
    my crosstab looks like this
                        2004     2005    Total
    Total              T1         T2         T
    USA               A          B          C
    INDIA              X          Y          Z
    right click on T1 and go to format field and write the suppress condition like this
    numberVar d:=0;
    currencyVar array arr1;
    currencyVar array arr2;
    numberVar e;
    if GridRowColumnValue('year')=2004 then
    (e:=e+1;
    redim preserve arr1[e];
    arr1[e]:=CurrentFieldValue)
    else
    (e:=e+1;
    redim preserve arr2[e];
    arr2[e]:=CurrentFieldValue);
    false
    right click on T and go to format field and write the Display string condition like this
    currencyVar array arr1;
    currencyVar array arr2;
    totext(arr1[1]-arr2[1])
    right click on A and go to format field and write the suppress condition like this
    currencyVar array four;
    currencyVar array five;
    numberVar d;
    if GridRowColumnValue('year')=2004 then
    (d:=d+1;
    redim preserve four[d];
    four[d]:=CurrentFieldValue)
    else
    (d:=d+1;
    redim preserve five[d];
    five[d]:=CurrentFieldValue);
    false
    right click on C and go to format field and write the Display string condition like this
    currencyVar array four;
    currencyVar array five;
    numberVar g;
    g:=g+1;
    ToText(four[g]-five[g])
    Note: Please select the option "column totals on top" for crosstab in customize style
    Hope this helps!

  • Hierachichal display is not coming for field in cross tab crystal report

    Hi,
    I have a dimension  "Cost center" in DSO on which Hierarchy is defined in SAP BI.
    When I developed one cross tab report on this DSO, values for Cost Center fields are displayed in flat mode and not in Hierarchical mode.
    I also set group option on this "Cost center" field  in report And in Report menu "Hierarchical Grouping option" also check box ticked for "Sort data hierarchically" and also selected Instance id field.
    how to get this?
    **Note: same problem when report is developed on Infocube.*+
    Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Dhana.

    Hi Dhana,
    I've created a similar report to show matrix WBS x RBS, and WBS are grouped hierarchically.
    My report developed in this way:
    - I've created Hierarchical group located in detail section of report. In detail section I've put the row field of cross table.
    - I've suppress all this section: group header, group footer and detail
    - I've created the cross table in Report Footer
    The report show correctly

  • Using sub-report field in cross tab row #2

    I have a sub-report that pulls a product line description that need to be added to row #2 of a cross tab object. I am unable to drag and dropped and it does not appear in the list under the cross tabs expert.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Edmund,
    You cannot add fields from the Subreport to a Crosstab in the Main Report.
    If you're trying to add data for multiple rows, you would need to bring those values as part of the Main report's query.

    After spending half a day i was able add a new field to each column to does the job, small piece of macro is doing the summation, now i have the problem to set the width of empty fields to zero, can anyone help?
    WhileReadingRecords;global NumberVar sumnum;global StringVar OutStr;
    if {jobs.acts}="Act1" or {jobs.acts}="Act3" then     sumnum:={jobs.hour}else if {jobs.acts}="Act2" or {jobs.acts}="Act4" or {jobs.acts}="Act5" or ... then    sumnum:=sumnum+{jobs.hour}else    sumnum:=0;

  • How to increase number of touch points?

    I am running FB 4.6 for iPhone with Flex SDK. I wish to track 9 touch points simultaneously. Although the SDK appears to support 11 touch points for the iPad, it appears to be limited to 5 only for the iPhone.
    Apparently "In the current public version of ofxiPhone there is a hardcoded limit of maximum 5 touches (size of the tracked touch array). So for now you can change that to 10 or 15."
    Am I able to change the array for iPhones in the Flex SDK to track the full 11 as in the iPad? How can I do this?
    I have compiled and tested an app with both FB4.6 and Apple's xCode, but as soon as the sixth finger touches the display, all previous 5 are lost. Again, I need 9 touch points for the app.
    Thanks in advance
    Paul.

    Check out the following link http://ysislmap.googlecode.com/svn-history/r3/note/siebel/MTServer.txt ..Will help you in configuring Max tasks.
    I think you are using workflow policy programs to trigger emails using Email Manager component,if this is the case then it is not a recommended way to create another email manager component running in another siebel server,coz at same time both siebel servers will invoke the component to trigger mails ending you up in receiving two similar mails.

  • GL - Increase decimal points in existing SOB

    Hi,
    We have a legacy system which interface to Oracle GL.
    In that system, the currency values are stored up to four decimal points (ex: 1009.7536).
    But in existing Oracle GL SOB is defined for two decimal points (ex: 1009.75)
    Can we change the number of decimal points interfaced or change in SOB.
    Or is there any way of capturing the remaining figures to Oracle GL.

  • Bug – CR 2011 cross tab number decimal formula not executing

    I have a formula to format the number of decimal points in both the column and row header values in a cross tab subreport. The formula does not appear to execute.  If I display the data in a simple table format and use the same decimal formula the format is correct.
    cross tab header, decimals not displayed correctly
    Data when displayed in a simple table using the same formula, decimals are displayed correctly

    Hi Paul,
    Here's another way:
    Remove the formula you've used under 'Decimal' for the cells in the crosstab.
    Right-click one of the cells > Format Field > Common tab > Click the formula button beside 'Display String' and use this code:
    numbervar x := CurrentFieldValue;
    numbervar ipart;
    numbervar decpart;
    ipart := int(x) ;
    decpart := x - ipart;
    if ipart > 0 then
    totext(ipart,0)
    else if decpart > 0 then
    Replace(totext(decpart),"0","")
