Infinite loop in PR workflow even if the document is now APPROVED

Hi everyone,
Our PR workflow experiences a confusion in the document's status.
A loop is being executed even if the PR document is now being APPROVED. The template, maybe, doesn't correctly read the status of the PR. Since the loop still runs, the approver is being Notified thru SAP inbox several times and this has caused the approver a sense of inconvenience and disturbance.
Please guide me on what to do.

There is indeed a loop in the WF definition. It sends a workitem to SAP inbox of the approver even after it is being APPROVED already.
I checked the condition of the loop, but it is correctly defined there.
I am looking at the reason that maybe this is on the synchronization issue. I mean, the statuses both of the documents and on the workflow side do not correlate or are different.
Can I use the SWU_OBUF in PROD?

Adjust SC recjected - The document is in approval

Hi Experts
We are on SRM 7.0, using Process Controlled workflow for Shopping Cart approvals.
I have uploaded BC 3EV_SC_600_601. 1 step.
The requester save a SC, and the authorization work item is send to the approval.
THe approval, recives the work item. He press "Reject".
THe requester, hasn't UWL roles. WHen he displays the sc, he can see "In Yor Inbox", the work item
with the decision "Accept or Adjust". When the requester select "Adjust", there is an information
message:
"The document is in approval.
Any document changes may lead to an adaptation of workflow process."
How can I avoid this information message?
When I display the SC, under the tab "Authorization process", i can see that the column "Responsible" is empty...
Any idea??

Hi Maria,
What you have mentioned is very standard. The accept/change decision can happend only through UWL. In case you want to accept the decision through SC POWL query which is nothing but check status , you will have to recall workflow and the order it again.
so ideally requestor should also have UWL authorization or setting for him to accept / review documnets which comes to him wither through reject or inquire fuctionlaity.

As time goes by (months or years), keep your eyes on how long Microsoft continues to support Office 2011 for Mac. Eventually you should consider Office 365 or Apple's Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

When downloading anything Firefox downloads it as a word document causing the document to appear as letter and numbers without sense. Firefox has done it for all documents that as pdf's are in a site, so I can not save them or downloaded, but not even read them.

When downloaded Adobe reader, a Fire Fox down loader window appeared and after several minutes a message said that it was downloaded, but a run window never appeared, so I clicked on the program (on that little fire fox downloader window) and it opened a word document with encoded letter. AGAIN!

Starting sharepoint workflow progmatically from more than one workflow attached in the document library, depending on the input parameter

I have to develop multiple sequential workflows. Depending on the user input at the time of workflow start, I have to decide which workflow will kick start. I am using visual studio to develop my sequential workflow. Is it possible to achieve this?
So, at the time document added to the document library, depending on the library column values Workflow1, worflow2 or workflow3 will start.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to start workflow based on the library field value.
We can use the ItemAdded event receiver to achieve this scenario.
When the document added to the document library, then use the properties.ListItem[“FieldName”] to check which value filled.
Then based on different field value to start different workflow.

Unable to update apps on iPad mini. I have even restored the iPad and now I can't download any of my previously purchased apps.

Can someone help me. I am using an iPad mini with iOS 7.0.4 with wifi connection. Have had no problems until recently when I was unable to update apps and then noticed that some apps would open but no data would be available in apps like intelicast and Pinterest. I have restored the iPad and now I am unable to download any of my previously purchased apps.

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

When debugging, a for loop is not entered even though the number 6 is passed to "N".

I cannot figure out why a for loop is not entered when I debug it. When debugging a value of 6 is clearly passed to "N", the number of iterations the loop is supposed to execute. So when I debug, execution highlighting just parses right over the loop, even though I request to enter the loop. Everything inside of the loop is not executed. Have you experienced this before? - Any ideas?

As mentioned by "eh" auto-indexed arrays that are empty will cause this.
A "FOR loop" will itereate as many times as is indicated by the smallest number elements in any of its auto-indexed inputs.
When you watch it in execution-highlighting, you probably will see a "0" coming in on an auto-indexed input.

I have a Macbook pro thats prints fine to my HP printer, but when I try and print from my iMac it doesnt see the pages and just prints two blank pages. Even thou the document is a number of pages

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A and I had no problems printing to it from my Mac or Macbook pro. The macbook is wifi and the Mac is cable, I have recently had the printer replaced with an exact model. Since doing that I can only print from the macbook pro, when I try and print from teh mac it doesnt see the pages. It could be a 10 page document and it will just show two blank pages. I have googled the question and have tried deleating the printer and reinstalling without any luck. When I got the new printer I insalled all the latest drivers thats the only thing different.

Right click the printer in System Prefences - Print & Scan and use Reset Printing System... and then reinstall the printer, should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo showing how to Reset Printing System....

Triggering event FMRE-CREATED in an infinite loop

Hi guys,
Iu2019m having a big problem in Public Sector Management with Founds Management Government when I create a Found reservation Tcode FMX1.
My problem is the triggering event FMRE-CREATED (event to start the Workflow) because when the document is created, this event is generated by the system which is fine, but inside on my Workflow I have a task to change the status with FMRE-SetLock, when this method is executed, automatically trigger an event FMRE-CREATED again, so my WF gets in a infinite loop.
How can I tell the system to donu2019t trigger this event when the status is changed?

How you changing the status? Check any Function Module or BAPI to change the status.
You have acheive it via Start Condition, check are you getting entry in the Table SWFREVTLOG for Creation.
If second time creating, check for the entry in the table, if found not allow it.

SQL stored procedure Staging.GroomDwStagingData stuck in infinite loop, consuming excessive CPU

I'm hoping that someone here might be able to help or point me in the right direction. Apologies for the long post.
Just to set the scene, I am a SQL Server DBA and have very limited experience with System Centre so please go easy on me.
At the company I am currently working they are complaining about very poor performance when running reports (any).
Quick look at the database server and CPU utilisation being a constant 90-95%, meant that you dont have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise there is a problem. The instance consuming the majority of the CPU is the instance hosting the datawarehouse and in particular
a stored procedure in the DWStagingAndConfig database called Staging.GroomDwStagingData.
This stored procedure executes continually for 2 hours performing 500,000,000 reads per execution before "timing out". It is then executed again for another 2 hours etc etc.
After a bit of diagnosis it seems that the issue is either a bug or that there is something wrong with our data in that a stored procedure is stuck in an infinite loop

When the procedure enters the loop to build its dynamic SQL to delete relevant rows from the inbound schema tables it concatenates various options / variables into an executable string. However when adding a NULL value to a string the entire string becomes
NULL which then gets executed.
Whilst executing "EXEC(NULL)" would cause SQL to throw an error and be caught, executing the following doesnt
DECLARE @null_string VARCHAR(100)
SET @null_string = 'hello world ' + NULL
EXEC(@null_string)
SELECT @null_string
So as it hasnt caused an error the next part of the procedure is to move to the next record and this is why its caught in an infinite loop
DELETE @items WHERE ManagedTypeViewName = @View
The value for the variable @View is the ManagedTypeViewName which is NULL, as ANSI_NULLS are set to ON in the connection and not overridded in the procedure then the above statement wont delete anything as it needs to handle NULL values differently (IS NULL),
so we are now stuck in an infinite loop executing NULL for 2 hours until cancelled.
I amended the stored procedure and added the following line before the loop statement which had the desired effect and "fixed" the performance issue for the time being
DELETE @items WHERE ManagedTypeViewName IS NULL
I also noticed that the following line in dbo.p_GetDwStagingGroomingConfig is commented out (no idea why as no notes in the procedure)
--AND COALESCE(i.ManagedTypeViewName, j.RelationshipTypeViewName) IS NOT NULL
There are obviously other ways to mitigate the dynamic SQL string being NULL, there's more than one way to skin a cat and thats not why I am asking this question, but what I am concerned about is that is there a reason that the xml / @GroomingCriteria is incomplete
and / or that the procedures dont handle potential NULL values.
I cant find any documentation, KBs, forum posts of anyone else having this issue which somewhat surprises me.
Would be grateful of any help / advice that anyone can provide or if someone can look at their 2 stored procedures on a later version to see if it has already been fixed. Or is it simply that we have orphaned data, this is the bit that concerns most as I dont
really want to be deleting / updating data when I have no idea what the knock on effect might be

First thing I would do is upgrade to 2012 R2 UR5. If you are running non-US dates you need the UR5 hotfix also.

Infinite Loop Gui Problem

Hi all,
Well basically I have 3 classes; one is called the loader which has the main function and all it does is call the second class which is the GUI class. This class buils up the GUI. The Third class however is a class which has an infinite loop inside until a button on the GUI is clicked. HOWEVER... due to the infinite loop, the GUI stays inactive until the loop ends which basically is like having a crashed GUI and thus the button can never be clicked!!
What do you suggest? Shall the loader load the third class and the third class loads up the GUI? Or is that not practical?

I still have a similar problem.
basically whats happening is...
From the GUI I launch a class with an infinite loop !!
Part of the Loop is to await a connection and when connected, a new Class is again launched, it processes and closes itself, and returns back to the infinite loop !!
I would like to know how I can Detach from the infinite loop to keep the GUI working...
