Infopackage multiple selection through user custom screen

Hi,
I would like to know if the below selections are possible to be incorporated in the Infopackage selections by writing a ABAP routine.
we have plan to create a custom screen,whenever the user enter the value for 0VERSION it should get reflected in the infopackge.
the value patterns are as follows:
if the user enter the values like c01 c03 and c05 it should run and also if the user enter the value of range we can say co1 to co5(c01,c02,c03,c04,c05) it should also run.
for instance:
0VERSION:c01,co3 and co5 (some time they will ask us to set the value of 0version like this)
0VERSION:co1 to co5(another set of value)
we have plan to create a custom screen.whereever tehy want ot run teh info packge they can enter teh 0version value they want and run it.
Please help us to get this resolved.

Create a infoobject ZLOAD with attributes OPT, ZVERLOW, ZVERHIGH and 0OBJVERS. Now let's take your scenario. You will have to maintain the below entries in infoobject master data.
ZLOAD     OPT     ZVERLOW     ZVERHIGH      0OBJVERS
Z1             EQ       C01                                             A
Z2             EQ       C03                                             A
Z3             EQ       C05                                             A
Z4             BT        C01                    C05                  A
Now this master data can be deleted and refilled using master data maintenance or using your own custom screen.
In infopackage selection tab, write routine for 0VERSION and fill the values from the master data of ZLOAD infoobject.

how to get MULTIPLE SELECTION tab on extension of my selec option of report screen.
If i pass Multiple_choice = 'X' in fm 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' check boxes are appearing of each my f4 values when i press f4, i dnt want like this i want it my extension as Multiple selection as how it appears for standard 4 helps.

Hi Clemen,
Any selectin screens element(select-option) if we click on extension we will get a pop up window with SINGLE VALUES,SELECT RANGES,EXCLUDE SINGLE VALUES, EXCLUDE RANGES bottome of this window we are having some icons along with it we have MULTIPLE SELECTION Tab.if we click on multiple selection tab we will be getting our all values with checkboxes each front of it so that we can select multiple vlaues at a time for the particular f4 .
i want this multiple selection tab for my custome F4, iam not getting this MULTIPLE SELECTION tab.
for example you can check for select-option of account group(T077D-KTOKD).
in F4 function module if iam using paramter MULTIPLE_CHOICE = 'X', iam not getting the extension pop window with singlevalues, select ranges etc ., instead of it iam getting all my f4 fields with the checkboxes infront of each of it.
please throw some light it is very urgent.
please tell me iam using following parameters in function module please let me know if i need to use any other to get it..

Error V0 104 while adding select option on customized screen

Hi all,
I have a screen added on the standard transaction IW21 (with selection screen definition and called like subscreen). On this screen I have some SELECT-OPTIONS and when I press the button of selecting multiple values, I get the following message: "Requested function & is not available here" (V0 104), where & is long number starting with %..I have added entries to the tables T185F and T185 with the transaction VFBS, but I dont know how to assign the Function codes to SELECT-OPTIONS..

Just an explanation: no matter the error message I get, the values are transferred correctly from the multiple selection screen to my screen.
I hope somebody got similar case and can give me some hint...

Hi, this is copied from SELECT-OPTION documentation:
The LOW and HIGH fields of a selection option are displayed in a length up to 18 bytes long (scrollable up to 45 bytes). If you define a length longer than 45, fields are truncated on the selection screen after the 45th character. This affects the first line of the SELECT-OPTIONS table. You can, however, use SUBMIT to pass longer selection options to a report if they are specified with the addition NO-DISPLAY and thus do not appear on the selection screen. Without NO-DISPLAY, the fields are then truncated whenever the selection screen is processed in the background ( SUBMIT without VIA SELECTION-SCREEN).

InfoPackage-Request Selection Through Routine (To Delete)

Hello,
I have come across a situation where I don't want to delete a request from an infocube.
Our current process always deletes requests that have the "Same or More Comprehensive" Selections (using the standard options). However we have one request that we do not want to delete.
In the area of the infopackage that you can specify the details for "Deleting Request from InfoCube after update", I would like to use the "Request Selection Through Routine" option available under "Exceptions" to implement a routine.
I believe i could then code a way to exclude the particular request from the deletion process.
The problem is that i cannot find any resources with examples or code samples to help me figure out how to code this.

Hello Nick,
You receive a table l_t_request_to_delete with all the requests in the cube you are able to delete. Now you simply need to delete your request number from the table, e.g.
DELETE l_t_request_to_delete WHERE sid = '12345'.

P.S.: You could also do the same by deleting all the requests except the one you want to keep, compress the cube and then continue data loading.

Multiple select-options in a screen But no screen space

Dear Experts,
I have mutiple select options in a screen, i am finding it a problem to display them all in one screen.
it should be done with out any vertical scroll nor horizontol scroll.

You can include more than one selct options or parameters in a single line..that might be favourable as u do not want to have scrolls..
the syntax goes like this
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.
<declare your parameters and select options>
SELECTION-SCREEN end OF LINE.
whatever u have written between begin of line and end of line will appear in a line..in this way you can reduce the page size..Hope the information was useful.

Problem in BDC and a customized screen being called by the SAP Trans

Hello good day,
I recently have a BDC program where I will have to call a SAP STANDARD program (VF02). However, a problem occured because of a customized program being used called by VF02. This would cause the entire BDC proccess to stop running.
My question is, how would be able to pass through this customized screen in VF02. I tried using SHDB but the BDC still wont go ahead with the process. I also used the program name as well as the screen number for it.
For the info of the screen. The source program was created by SE38 as an executable program (i.e. regular report program). That appears to be calling a screen if a certain condition passes. The screen functions as a pop only only used to notify the user. There is push button to continue to the SAP standard screens.

Problem using multiple choice LOV with custom attribute

v 9.0.2
I cannot find how to use a LOV as a check box or a multiple select for a custom attribute. It shows up as a combo box whatever setting I choose for the default format field in the LOV wizard.
I need to give the opportunity to choose more than one option from the LOV for the attribute when adding the custom item associated with the attribute. How do I do this?

RAR5.3 not able to cut and paste list of users to Multiple Selection screen

CC V4.0 on ABAP system has a feature where you can cut and paste a list of many users from the clipboard to Single Values column in the Multiple Selection screen, so you can run SOD Analysis Report for all those users. The Multiply Selection screen is a standard SAP supplied pop up screen.
With RAR 5.3 the Multiply Selection screen design is different. There is no longer feature to cut and paste from clipboard. We have to input each user one at a time. So if you have many users (20, 30, etc.) it is a time consuming task. It is not acceptable to our business power users.
We can import the list of users to a Custom User Group (in the Configuration Tab). First of all, there is no mass delete on Custom User Group. You have to delete each user one at a time which is time consuming. The alternative is to create a new Custom User Group each time, then it becomes a maintenance nightmare. Secondly, it is in the Configuration Tab which is only available to Administrators (fear of users changing configuation data), so the Administrator (or whomever has access to the Configuration Tab) has to maintain the Custom User Groups which is a lot of work for him or her or them.
We talk to SAP every week. But they are looking at this as a long time project. Does any one of you (or your company) has the same requirements? How do you get around it? Did you setup some other procedures so users can cut and paste the users list and run the Risk Analysis report themselves?

This is probably a JVM issue. Are you using JInitiator or the IE native JVM?
I suggest you turn on the JVM console, set the trace level to maximum, and then watch what happens when you attempt the copy.
Also, check the key mapping (usually ctrl-k) that the forms applet is implementing. Perhaps ctrl-c means something else...

Create a custom multiple selection on screen - not selection-screen block

Dear expert,
I created a text field on screen for input selection, e.g field bname for USR02-BNAME. How can i create a CUSTOMIZE multiple selection plus a paste (from clipboard) feature on this screen (e.g. SCREEN 0002) like standard selection-screen from SAP when we create a report.
For a better view on what i want:
This text field already use F4 customize search help. I need a multiple selection lines (like standard selection-screen a button on the right side of select-options field).
Remember, i don't create textfield from select-options parameter (e.q. SELECT-OPTIONS : XBNAME FOR USR02-BNAME),
but on a screen.
Anyone can help my case?.

Had the same question from my users. This was the first hit i found but unfortunately without an answer. So for those with the same question, this is how i solved it (goede voornemen voor 2014). In my case the request is a complex selection on the LFA1 table.
The screen contains two fields to enter the low/high value for lifnr (zdy_droogteschade-lifnr and zdy_droogteschade-lifnr_tot)
Created a button on the screen, mark this as output only, when pressed the routine multi_select_crediteuren is performed wich uses the fm 'COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG'.
To top it all of, the icon on the button changes depending on the contains of the range table (in a routine called from the PBO).
This only works when the button is marked as 'output only',
Include the icon type pool: 'type-pools: icon.'

Multiple selection customer field at header level... Is it possible?

Y'all,
I would like to know if it's possible to append a table into the include structure (CUF) at header level in the contract and create a search help screen with multiple selection values return.
This requirement comes because we have to mantain a 1:N relationship between a contract and customer field at header level.

How can I do the validation for all the materials entered in multiple selection in selection-screen?

What kind of validation do you need to do?
One of the easiest options is to select the materials to an internal table and then loop through it. Something like this:
SELECT-OPTIONS: SO_MATNR FOR MARA-MATNR.
AT SELECTION SCREEN.
SELECT MATNR FROM MARA
INTO TABLE I_MATNR
WHERE MATNR IN SO_MATNR.
LOOP AT I_MATNR.

Here table I_MATNR has only one field MATNR.
But please be careful with this, because you might end up going through thousands of material numbers. You might want to limit the user's choices by making the field required and removing some other options. Also you can check number of records in I_MATNR and allow only, say, not more than 50 materials, thusly forcing the users to limit their selection criteria.
Naturally, other selection options may be added here.

How to use Multiple Single Option for selection in the Customer Exit

How can we handle the multiple single values in the customer exit variable.
I have a requirement which is as follows -
Table A fiields -> Field Coach, Partner 2, Relation between PArtner 1 & Partner 2, Valid from, valid to date.
Table B -> Service Month, Start Date, End Date.
Table C -> Billing Date, Execution Partner,cal month /year.
For the Field coach in TABLE A, multiple Partner 2 are present.
Report has to be built on Table C.
User inputs the Service month and Field Coach . User can enter multiple field coach values.
For the All the Field Coach values entered, corresponding Partner2's have to be found from Table A and to be passed to the Execution Partner in Table C.
Now if we want to use customer exit variable on the field Execution Partner, how can we handle the Multiple Single selections in the customer exit.

While creating the variable you must have to specify multiple value.
In customer exit
write code multiple times and append the values.
For example:
when 'variable'.
l_s_range - sign = 'I'.
l_s_range - OPT = 'EQ.
l_s_range - LOW = EXECUTION PARTNER 1.
APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
l_s_range - sign = 'I'.
l_s_range - OPT = 'EQ.
l_s_range - LOW = EXECUTION PARTNER 2.
APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
l_s_range - sign = 'I'.
l_s_range - OPT = 'EQ.
l_s_range - LOW = EXECUTION PARTNER 3.
APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
