InfoPackage start with BAPI

Hi, Folks!
There is a problem with file loading from local PC. There is InfoPackage with radiobutton "Start Data Load immediatly ". I try to start BAPI_IPAK_START':
call function 'BAPI_IPAK_START'
      exporting
        infopackage = 'ZPAK_D4B2FQSY0UZ5BDBVX5NIB5H4A'
      tables
        return      = i_t_return.
but I got an error RSM860: unable to load in background from local PC.
What is the problem? I checked forum threads on this, but only have that I need to check radiobutton "Start Data Load immediatly ". And it is.
I even post importing parameter SCHEDULING_PARAMS-startdttyp in 'BAPI_IPAK_CHANGE' to 'I'-value as it mentioned in BAPI documentation...
P.S. I can start this Infopackage in dialog mode and it's OK.

Ya are you trying to load something from client workstation ????
If you want to schedule via process chain better load your data to application server.
In the infopackage just give this path and save.
Now you can easily create a process chain.You neednot use the BAPI for infopackage triggering.

Problem in lock Sales order create with BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2

Hi All,
i have the z program to create the sales order with reff quotation in SD With BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.
this program will excute every 30 mins .
Problem: Some times if i excute the program in background it is taking morethan 30mins so second batch excution also gets starting to create the sales order for same quotation then it is creating 2 sales orders at atime with 1 quotation.
here i am getting duplicate sales orders so i want to lock the creation of duplicate sales order.

Some solutions
- Just lock (ENQUEUE) any object at the start of the job(*), if not locked, you can exit or wait in a loop, will be released at end of job (use a _SCOPE '3' so commit work wont release the lock)
-> This will insure the job runs only once at a time
- Lock the quotation before calling the BAPI, will be released by the COMMIT_WORK (from where do you fetch the quotation, if it is a customer Z_table, you can use the lock object that you have surely created ?) (use a _scope '2')
-> This will insure that at most one job will convert a quotation (i suppose you set a "done" flag or status in the quotation record)

Can I get any documents or links regarding Syncbo creation with BAPIs from another R/3 server. I think I have to create RFC destination for this. The steps for creating RFC destination in Netweaver 2004s is also helpful for me.

This will provide you with rules of creating BAPI wrappers and sample BAPI wrappers.
For creating RFC destination, contact your BASIS team member. You may not rights to do it by yourself. They will also tell the exact prodecure. It start with transaction SM59.

LSWM with BAPI

Hi,
I am trying to post a FI document via LSWM, BAPI.
When I run Step 13-Start Idoc Generation, it displays the message error => No partner exists with the name ",type"
Does anybody know what is the problem?
LSMW - Step 1:

In LSMW menu, Settings -> Idoc Inbound Processing, I copied information from another LSMW with BAPI

EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK is empty - LSMW with BAPI

Hi everybody!
I'm trying configure a LSMW with BAPI, but when I try to do the step "Start IDoc Generation" I receive the message "EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK is empty".
I already configured the Ports, Partner Type and Partner Number, but I am still receiving the message.
My Example Scenario is:
- A test LSMW to change flight table using the BAPI "BAPI_FLIGHT_SAVEREPLICA".
- The Port is FILE type and the file is local (PC).
-The Partner Type is LS.
- The Partner Number is using FLIGHT_SAVEREPLICA message type in Inbound parameters.
Anybody knows the possible cause of this?

I am using LSMW with BAPI for creating purchasing contract.
I got status of the Idoc as " 64 " means Idoc is ready to transferred to application but when i go to next step ...
I am getting dump when I executing the step "Start Idoc Processing"
The errors shows like this: - "Object cannot be assigned to null"
Any help on this:-

Problem with BAPI

Hi,
We are using the BAPI BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE to create a plant maintenance notification. I have populated it with the following data :
maintenance notification type
equipment number in header
functional location in header
coding group in header
coding in header
I am using a wrapper bapi to house this one and am also calling a BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after this bapi is called .
However my problem is when the BAPI runs. The result has notification number which starts with a '%'. When i go into IW23 to check if a notification was created , none exists !
I used the same data and ran transaction IW21 directly, and the notification was successfully created. That means the data im using is correct and sufficient.
So why is it not being created properly with the BAPI ?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

If I copy the "lcds" folder, Tomcat starts with socket errors

In the documentation it is said that when you create a new server-side application, you can start by copying the 'webapps/lcds' folder. I did that but then, Tomcat starts with some socket errors:

java.net.SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind
[LCDS]SocketServer 'my-rtmp-SocketServer' failed to start.
flex.messaging.LocalizedException: SocketServer 'my-rtmp-SocketServer' cannot bind to accept client connections on port '2038' because another process has already bound the port. Please ensure that multiple endpoints across all applications are not configured to use this same port.
Am I doing something wrong?

What is happening is that you are getting a port conflict for the socket-based NIO and RTMP endpoints used in the channel definitions in the services-config.xml file of your new web app. The issue is that you have endpoints bound to the same port in the LCDS web and in your new web app.
You can deal with this one of two ways:
Option 1: In that services-config.xml file, search on "RTMP" and "NIO" to find the channel definitions and change the port numbers to something slightly different than the ones used in the LCDS web app.
Options 2: Move the LCDS web app out of the picture so it doesn't get loaded, and just use a template for future web apps. If you aren't using it for any of your development, there is really no reason you have to load it.
I'll add a note about this to the documentation that talks about using the LCDS web app as a template.

How do I stop iTunes from starting with Windows?

Hi there.
After installing iTunes 7, it launches with Windows despite there being no registry entries or Startup folder entries. I also can't find any preference settings in iTunes to change this. I don't want iTunes starting with Windows as it's a CPU hot and system drag as it is without it slowing down my startup.
What's even more odd I find is that, if for whatever reason iTunes does NOT start with Windows, I don't have an Internet connection. It's strange but the connection between the two is absolute. If I reboot and iTunes starts with Windows, I have my Internet back.
Any suggestions? I can't find anything through searches. I've also checked for viruses, spyware, backdoors, etc.

I am automating the process of sending appointment reminders to my clients. I started with an alert with an email in calendar using the clients email address as a custom entry in my me card in my contacts. this was resulting in three emails being sent with slightly different versions of the same address (see my previous post). Heating someone else's suggestion I created a workflow file to send an email and calling that file from an alert on my calendar. This is working and sends only one email to the client.
My calendar is on I cloud and I access it from three different computers so I can keep my appointment calendar current. The files that send the email only exist on one computer. My other computers show error messages when those emails get sent. It seems that each computer wants to send the email. It's a small problem but is there a way that I could not get those alerts.
But appreciate any thoughts about this. It seems like both problems might be related to the iCloud system.

Good work, catch so far Michael, does seem to be a "feature" of iCloud syncing, not sure what you could do to disable it.

Performance issues with Bapi BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY...

I have a Z program to check ATP which is working with Bapi BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY....
As I am in the retail system we have performance issues with this bapi due the huge amount of articles in the system we need to calculate the ATP.
any way to improve the performance?

The BAPI appears to execute for only one plant/material, etc., at a time, so I would have to concentrate on making data retrieval and post-bapi processing as efficient as possible. In your trace output, how much of your overall time is consumed by the BAPI? How much by the other code? You might find improvements there...

If you have followed the standard Apple troubleshooting processes (see user guide )
probably a trip to the local Apple Store Genius bar is called for before warranty runs out
Assuming the iPad has been released in your Country if not you may have to take it to a
neighbouring Country where it is available
