InfoPath 2007 forms issue in SP2013

I am upgrading MOSS 2007 site into SP2013, after I finish migration and upgrade, when try to fix the connection and upgrade InfoPath forms, I reached to the point that there are no errors in the form, but when upload the form template as admin approved templates,
and activate the template for the site collection successfully, when I try to load the form, I receive an error:
"The form template failed to load."
I reviewed the event log, and I find the issue similar to the following KB article.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee513112%28office.14%29.aspx
Any solution for this issue?

check the SharePoint logs. If necessary, crank up the logging levels for InfoPath.

  • Infopath 2007 form minimizes after digitally signing to task bar

    Hello,
I have a strange but intermittent problem, sometimes the whole InfoPath 2007 program
Minimizes when it digitally signs a form, Most of my users thinks its been submitted, but
they have to  maximize then press submit.  This happens on all forms.  Any Ideas?

    Hi,
For this issue, I'm trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at it.

  • This form template is not currently browser-enabled. It must either be republished as a browser-enabled form, or opened using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007

    Hi,
When I try to open a Infopath related file from Sharepoint, I am receiving the below error.
This form template is not currently browser-enabled. It must either be republished as a browser-enabled form, or opened using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007.
Office Professional Plus 2010 and Infopath 2010 are installed in my Windows 7 Enterprise edition. Have executed ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\InfoPath.exe" /cache ClearAll" the command. But still getting the same error.
It works in different machine. Repaired Office 2010 and Infopath.
Please let me know if any solution available.

    Hi,
You can try Amit Bajaj's method in another thread which has fixed the same problem for several users:
Check if the default “Form Templates” option in appearing under “View all site contents” page. If it is not enabled by
default, then you can follow this following steps.
If "Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Features" is enabled but we don't see the default "Form Templates" on the "View
all site contents" page, then you should use the following steps.
Make sure they have backup of everything.
Opened the site http://<your site url> in SharePoint Designer.
Select the root URL and click FILE >> NEW >> SharePoint Content
Choose Document Library >> Form Library
Under options type the name as “FormServerTemplates” and it will create the content.
Now right click on “FormServerTemplate” and open “Properties”
On settings Tab change the name to “Form Templates” and uncheck the option “Use a template for new documents”
    Click OK
Now you should see “Form Templates” on the view all site content page.
You should be able to publish the InfoPath form with "Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser."

  • Interesting Infopath 2007 Issue

Hey guys,I know it's been forever since we last spoke, and the spice stopped flowing for bit. Lost my job, had a rough little bit, but I'm now back in the IT Trenches and going strong. That being said, I've run across an interesting issue that I have. A template was created in Microsoft InfoPath 2010. Now, in my new company, we have both 2007 and 2010 versions of Office (Don't ask me why, it hurts me a lot). That being said, my InfoPath 2007 users are unable to open this template without having .net Framework functionality. When I go into the wizard to add said functionality, the wizard just cancels out and closes. No error, nothing in the error logs, it just comes up with 'Setup Wizard has been canceled' and that is it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling office, .net framework, and java (as suggested by another tech), and still...

  • Infopath 2007 "Updating Site Content Failed"

I get this error for just about everything I do with the forms we are publishing via Infopath 2007.  I believe it is because our forms have a fair amount of Promoted fields in them (more than 30 each).
I've seen this article and think that maybe it will alleviate the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/958139
The problem is the hotifx that this references is not available for public download and when I try to go through the great new Microsoft Support site (piece of absolute ____) I am unable to get a phone number to call, submit an e-mail or anything without giving them a credit card for payment.  I do not intend to pay money to get the right to download or be sent a hotfix.
Does anyone know if there is a way I can test to verify that I indeed "need" this hotfix before I spend money out of my pocket?
The forms I have published to form libraries in MoSS 2007 Enterprise have many promoted fields.  I can create a new content type in the site collection via Infopath if I keep the promoted fields under about 25, however once I publish it I can no longer change the content type (get the "Updating Site Content Failed" message) and have to create a new content type to make changes to any form I have.  As you can imagine this is a problem as I have to constantly change the template url on my libraries and constantly re-link all of the saved forms in the libraries.
Does anyone have any ideas how to realistically fix this outside of the hotfix?
I've tried every method I can find on the internet, but nothing seems to work.

A little more information.  On the server itself I don't show any indication or problem in the Event logs related to this issue.
However, on the workstation that I am attempting to publish from (Same subnet, local Gigabit Connection) I get 4 MSSOAP Errors:
Event Type: Error      Event Soruce MSSOAP
Event Category: Generic   Event ID: 16
Description: Soap error: Connection Time out
I get two of those and two of these:
Event Type: Error   Event Source: MSSOAP
Event Category: General  Event ID: 16
    Description: Unspecified HTTP error.
I went into the sharepoint central admin and changed the timeout value (which was 30 seconds) in the infopath forms section to 120 seconds and it hasn't made any difference.
Edit:  Yes I have tried from multiple workstations.  We don't load office on the server itself or I would try from there as well.

  • Filtering a sharepoint 2010 list using Multiple values from Multi-Select Filtering In Infopath 2010 form

I am creating a browser based InfoPath 2010 form Calendar Filtering
using SharePoint 2010 Calendar List (All Events) and InfoPath 2010.  This form has data connection to the Calendar list. Goal is to
compare Calendar Events from Current Year to Previous Year. I have 2 columns called - Previous Year and Current Year. I have 2 drop-down controls in each columns called
Select Year  and Select Week. I also have common drop down called
Select Category which holds category of the events such as weather, power outages and so on. I wish to display specific events on specific date and specific week on both columns.
I am able to filter the list based upon Year and Week
on both these columns by applying rules in the InfoPath 2010 form. The real issue is that I want to apply category filter on the search result of
Year and Week. Or it needs to show all the values if I
select Category value as All. So I wish to apply filter on Search results using Category drop-down list selection.
Hope I could explain this better but I tried to do the best here. Any suggestions, hint, or pointers

  • Integration between InfoPath web forms (browser side), SharePoint 2010, and Word or Excel

To begin with the end in mind, here's what I need to do:
User A (employee) fills out infopath form in browser.
User A saves infopath form, workflow runs, and sends a link to the manager
User B (Manager) opens infopath form, clicks a button, and all the information from the saved infopath form magically appears in a excel document
Here's how I did it, because I couldn't find an easier way to do it. This is an InfoPath no-code solution (uses web service and workflow I had to build) and this is working somewhat:
In InfoPath Designer 2010, created the form from Blank 2007 form template.
Published the form and promoted fields to Sharepoint 2007 as a new forms library.
Created a view on forms library to show all fields (SQLExportView1).
Created SSIS package to import data from SharePoint forms list using the view "SQLExportView1" into a new database and table in SQL Server (tblSQLExport1).
Created SQL Agent job to run this package every 2 minutes.
    Created workflow to notify manager.
Created excel document with an external data connection to SQL server.
In SQL, created a stored proceedure ("spGetCurrentID") to truncate, then add a row to a table ("tblCurrentFormID").
On InfoPath form, added a button that takes the current infopath form "ID" into a table in SQL server by calling the stored procedure via a web service.
On Infopath form, added a hyperlink to the excel file which opens in the client.
In excel, added a button on the workbook that queries the SQL database for the current form ID, and drops it into a cell.
In excel, added a button on the workbook that queries the SQL database for the sharepoint list details that were exported via SSIS, returning only the row for the current form ID.
In excel, created a button on the workbook that displays the fields I want in the location I want
With over 25 users concurrently hitting the form library, there is a chance that when they open excel they will generate an excel document with bad data in it (data from someone else's current ID).
I've since migrated to SharePoint 2010, and it works the exact same way in 2010.
What I want to do is find a way to get the data that is already saved in the infopath form DIRECTLY to Excel by clicking a button without the web service, the stored procedure, the SSIS package, the SQL agent job, etc.  My problem has always been
in getting the data from infopath into RAM/Clipboard/temp file(?) and imported into Excel by bypassing the SQL.
Of course, I would like to do this without requiring an administrator approved template in InfoPath, and have it be much more simpler to maintain. There are a lot of moving parts.
Please point me to any examples or make recommendations. The requirement is that users open the form, the data is filled out already, and with a click of a button, the data shows up in excel automatically in the right place for the item they're currently
    looking at in infopath.
Now that I've got this working (kind of) for one excel document, management wants to add 25 other documents that this one infopath form can generate.
Therefore, once I get this to work better for one excel document, I can add other excel documents.
I've considered passing a parameter to the excel document in Excel Web Services, as I believe that excel web services 2010 can support this. However, I believe that the macros that run in the excel client okay won't work in excel web services 2010.
Users would prefer to open Excel in the client, though, so not sure I'm going to go down this path.

    Clayton,
You rock - thank you for all your responses!
The infopath form was built doing what it does long before the need to get the data into Excel.
You are correct in that I could have modified the infopath code to save to SQL, but the fields in the form and on the forms library columns do change before and after the manager approves it.  As such, adding some code to submit the infopath data to
SQL could have been used to write data into SQL server instead of leveraging SSIS/SQL Agent to do so. However the aformentioned workflow (see way up in the thread) does more than just send an email to the manager with a link. It also edits some fields in the
forms library column on that particular list item. By using SSIS, every two minutes they get the latest stuff from sharepoint into SQL without having to add code in the workflow or - if possible - on the infopath code that does a table update where item=abc.
It is common to get data from sharepoint into sql, regardless of whether or not it is a list or library (including infopath forms libraries). There is sample code on Codeplex that has been downloaded close to 40,000 times for this purpose which I'm sure
    you are familiar with:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd365137(v=sql.100).aspx and
    http://sqlsrvintegrationsrv.codeplex.com/releases/view/17652
I agree with you in so many ways on why they should not be using excel (or word) to present the information. Having InfoPath or a custom workflow magically convert the data presented on a specific view in a filled out InfoPath form to PDF and emailing it
would be wonderful, but it simply is not a possible solution.
Surely you're familiar with companies that have a word document that, say, a manager will email to someone as an attachment, then the employee prints out the word document, fills it out on paper and signs it with a pen (or fills out a fillable form, then
prints it), they then either fax it back or scan it and email it back to the manager, who then prints it out and hands it to a VP for a signature, etc.  Yes, the process is very old-fashioned, but in health care, finance, and for legal compliance reasons,
some places simply have to do their manual processes the way they are. I've suggested and shown examples of how it can all be done electronically with digital signatures, etc., but their legal compliance officers and board members do not agree to this methodology.
As such, I work within the confines I am presented with, as I'm sure you've had to do as well.
I myself have worked for several Fortune 100 firms for many years (Microsoft, T-Mobile, etc), know what is possible. However the place I am at now, many of those options simply are not possible.
They use excel (and word) because that is the templates the legal department and third party companies they work with gives them to work with.
If you've used enterprise OCR systems (LaserFiche, OnBase, Hyperion, etc.) you would be familiar with the fact that in order to scan and index keywords from OCR cover pages, the document has to have fields in a certain location. While I have tried to
get the InfoPath form to line up properly, I cannot print out headers or footers and page breaks where the OCR system requires and expects them to be. What's more: when you print a filled out infopath form that loads browser side, as you know you get the browser-related
stuff with it. Although they're all on the same web browser (finally - IE8) and all on windows 7 and office 2010, I cannot control the fact that some users use large fonts and other accessability features to make their 21" screens run at 640x480 (exaggeration).
When you do this, it changes the margins in the print area, and more.
If I could take the data that is in infopath, merge it with an excel template, and export that to PDF, that could be an option. Not looking to buy some enterprise PDF generating product, though, and looking to do this as close to a no-code solution as possible.
Why we're suggesting PDF, perhaps we should be considering XPS, since we are staying with the Microsoft technology stack here.
Perhaps I should rephrase my original question like this:  "I have 25 different documents that all need to be filled out automatically. Each document has different text on it, but the fields that need to be filled out on the documents are almost all
the same. I want to present one form for users to fill out, and once saved, to generate all 25 different documents. How would you do this?". While not entirely accurate, as not all 25 documents need to be created at once, only on demand with a click of a button
for each document, perhaps that is a better way of stating the need.
Thank you Clayton (and all you lurkers out there hoping to find out how we solve this).

  • InfoPath 2013 form will not open in browser

    Greetings All,
I have a scenario where I have created a InfoPath 2013 form and it will not open in the browser; it always opens it in the rich InfoPath client.
The only thing I have done differently here is to apply a content type, from the content type hub, to the form library.  I am doing this because I was to reference the same content type in a records center; which would allow me to easily move instances
of the form data file to a records library.
When I exclude the whole custom content type thing, the form publishes and can be opened in the browser without issue.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance...

Hi Bob, at the risk of sounding too obvious, do you have your library set to open documents in the browser, and in the InfoPath settings?
    cameron rautmann
    Hi Cameron,
Yes, it is.  What I have been able to determine is; there is something special about the Form content type.  If I create my own content type, derived from From, it won't work.  Very weird.

  • Infopath list form displays blank in edit mode in SharePoint 2010

    Hi,
I have a custom list in SharePoint 2010. I am using InfoPath 2010 form to Insert and Edit list data. The list was working fine in the past days. Suddenly the InfoPath form displays nothing when I click on the Edit Item Button but its working fine in New
Item and Read Only mode. I checked Form Web Parts--> Content Type Forms--> (Item) Edit Form where the InfoPath form Web Part is missing. I added the InfoPath Form Web Part manually there then the InfoPath form displaying blank where
list data is available. All other lists are working fine in the site collection.
Would somebody help to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi pointtoshare,
When you added a new item in the custom list, whether this issue occurred.
Whether you could customize the custom list form using InfoPath.
Please click on “Customize Form”, it will be opened with InfoPath, check whether the default view has data. And create a new view, set it as default view, publish it , compare the result.
    I hope this helps.

  • Migrating InfoPath 2010 Forms(Lists/Libraries) to InfoPath 2013

    Hi All,
We have lots of InfoPath Forms in SP2010 and migrating to SP 2013. It would be helpful if anyone could suggest a suitable way to migrate the Forms.
Trying to avoid external tools just planning to inhouse.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to migrate InfoPath 2010 Forms(Lists/Libraries) to SharePoint 2013.
The issue is caused by the security and Claims-Based authentication.
There is a new Secure Store Service ID that needs to be created to allow InfoPath to connect over Claims Based Authentication

  • Printing InfoPath 2010 Forms

    Hi all,
This is probably really easy but I can't seem to get the "Print" option to appear in an InfoPath form under SharePoint 2010.
This used to work out of the box in InfoPath 2007 but for some reason does not appear in 2010. Does anyone have any advice?
    Thanks

I wouldn't say you're going about it in the wrong way - it's just that this is brand new functionality that can easily be confused with the full-blown use of InfoPath.  In 2007, we couldn't customize list forms with InfoPath - that is an awesome new feature of 2010.  What may be confusing is that you started in InfoPath.  Typically, you would create the list the way you want it in SharePoint, and you would add columns to it that were created at the site level or even site collection level.  That way, the columns are usable all over SharePoint and not just in your list.  Then, after you've gotten the list created and ready, you click on "Customize Forms" from the ribbon, which allows you to immediately convert all the built-in ASPX forms into InfoPath forms that you can then modify and spruce up to your heart's content.  There is a fundamental difference in these two approaches.
If you built the list form template first, and create the list + columns from this direction, then you do not get the same administrative controls for determining the exact nature of your list nor the columns.  Columns should be carefully planned not just for the list but for your entire site and site collection.  If you create the same column over and over again, then you aren't utilizing the robust nature of SharePOint.  I know it seems cool that you are creating these lists by starting in InfoPath, but you aren't really creating Expense forms and Time Off forms.  You are creating lists that you simply get to modify the look and feel of with InfoPath.  The built-in forms of a list do this, too, except the built-in list forms are not nearly as capable.  You can't design the layout and graphics of a built-in list form, and you can't add in custom logic or other data connections with built-in list forms.  InfoPath forms can do this, and so can list forms customized with InfoPath, but it's not the same thing as if you built a regular InfoPath form and submitted to a form library.  When you do that, you actually have a full-fledged FORM with a document (XML) that stores your data.  The list version is just using InfoPath as a beefed-up front end, but in the end, it's just a list item in the content database, not an XML form.
Typically, for expenses, time off, timesheets, etc., you would have a full-fledged form where someone goes to a form library, fills out the form, submits that physical XML form back to the library, and you have full functionality and capability of InfoPath (browser or rich client - either way).
I think it's important to also point out that Beta will not have an upgrade path to RTM, so don't build more than you're willing to rebuild after RTM release.  Also, browser forms utilize Forms Services, which is only available in the Enterprise version.  Be sure you plan to purchase, license, and implement the full Enterprise level of 2010 when going this route with testing.  Just a heads-up on those things!  I will be doing Enterprise all day long, so I'm with ya!  =)SharePoint Architect || My Blog

  • Repeting control in Infopath list form

    Hi ,
I want to create repeating control in List InfoPath form... Repeating control only comes in form template, but I have list form which I edited and done the changes in InfoPath, Now I want to add somehow repetign control , how can I do that
if it is not possible any other way I can achieve repeating kind of structure in list InfoPath form .
Please mark answer , if you think answer is helpful or correct.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to use repeating control in InfoPath List Form.
To submit data to a SharePoint list from an InfoPath form, you could create a
SharePoint List form template that allows multiple items to be submitted.
For more information, you can refer to:

  • Import Word 2007 Form check boxes undefined

Any one have any idea on how to get the forms wizard to import the field property names for check boxes in an Adobe form?
I have a Word 2007 form which I have tried saving as a .doc, .dot, dotm, .docx and no matter what format I choose, I cannot get the check box fields to import.  I used the legacy checkbox field under the developer ribbon in Word 2007 to create the check boxes.   I have tried to import with protection on the word form enabled and stopped but it doesn't make a difference. The check box fields come across fine but the name and the text fields both say undefined rather then display the field name given in Word.  I am using Adobe 9 pro.  I have checked my Adobe preferences in Word and made sure all the boxes were checked for converting bookmarks but it still did not make a difference.  The text fields are importing fine with the property field names.
    Here is an example:
I have a yes check box that is labeled StorageY and a no checkbox labeled StorageN for the properties in Word.  I then went to the form wizard in Adobe 9 and selected start with existing form and selected the fillable word form I created with the check boxes.  I imported it and the check box properties say Undefined for both storageY and storageN.   There are about 60 check boxes in the document and I don't want to retype them every time in Adobe when the word form is updated and has to be conveted again.
I sure hope there is a solution.
    Thanks.

Thanks for the information but I respectfully disagree with "there is no import".  If you open Adobe Acrobat
9 pro and go to Forms, Start Forms Wizard, select An Existing electronic document and click on Next. Select "import" a file from file system and browse for the word document and click on Next.
Using this method not only runs the automatic field recognition you were referring to, it also brings in all the word form field text and formats with the exception of the check boxes.  My only guess is the problem has something to do specifically with the check box fields as it does bring over the radio button text.  A lot less work to keep the form updated.  It rocks.  You should try it some time.
Word 2007 pdf writer does the same thing as the openoffice.org but neither bring across the form field info.  They just create a starting point and you would have to use the method you described above to create the fillable form.
