Information needed about HPROF option "cpu=old"
I was reading the article about HPROF:
http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/HPROF.html
As I couldn't leave a comment there (probably my proxy?), I came to this forum to ask my simple question:
Is the HPROF "cpu=old" option a sort of deprecated format and how does it work ?
After a try, I observed the same huge CPU overhead as with "cpu=times" option, which is ok, and as an output, a tabbed file. It looks like a list of methods sorted by execution time, with the following header "count callee caller time". This is clear, no extra explanation needed.
This option is very interesting so why isn't it described in this article ? Is it the old format of JVMPI /JVMDI ? However the history section shows that the output format has not changed.
This could seem a bit redundant with the cpu=times options, but after a quick comparison on a "real" application on a 2h internal standard perf test, it shows very different results, in terms of figures and top-consuming methods ranking.
Could you give me the beginnings of an explanation for this difference, by detailing a bit how it works ?
Which option would you advise to use ?
Thanks in advance.
Philippe
Thank you for such a fast reply.
There is the further diagnostic test below. The strange thing is I was getting around 3-3.5mbps downstream a week ago but with the frequent disconnections due to the weather I have a bad feeling the exchange has downgraded my line.
1. Best Effort Test:
Download Speed : 1.5 Mbps
Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information.

Information needed about bi pre calculation server
Hi
I have certain queries about bi precalculation server
Whether there is a need for a separate server or it can be installed in BI server itself ?
How much physical memory and diskspace it would take?
Whether it needs a seperate license?
In which link you could download the software ?
in which link you could find the installtion documents?
Regards
MA.SreenivasanWhether there is a need for a separate server or it can be installed in BI server itself ?
- You need seperate machine to run the server in it. which is installed and run outside BI server
How much physical memory and diskspace it would take?
- Normal system configurations will do, however since it is a basis call ask them to check
Whether it needs a seperate license?
- There is no need of extra licence
In which link you could download the software ?
- Check in the following thread Troubleshoot Information Broadcasting within SAP NetWeaver '04 (BW 3.5)
in which link you could find the installtion documents?
Same as the above link -
Information needed about two topics in SAP R/3 MM Module
Hi,
I needed information regarding "Condition for invoice list" & "Condition for inter-company billing" in SAP R/3 MM Module. But dont know where to find.
Thanks
Loki.Hi
Invoice list is basically SD configuration.
<b>Invoice List</b>
<b>Purpose</b>
The invoice list lets you create, at specified time intervals or on specific dates, a list of billing documents (invoices, credit and debit memos) to send to a particular payer.
The billing documents in the invoice list can be single or collective documents (collective invoices combine items from more than one delivery).
The standard version of the SAP R/3 System includes two types of invoice lists:
1.for invoices and debit memos
2.for credit memos
If you wish, you can process invoices, debit memos, and credit memos at the same time. The system automatically creates a separate invoice list for credit memos.
A payer may be the head office of a buying group, which pays all the invoices for goods that are shipped to individual members. The group payer takes responsibility for paying the invoice lists and then collecting payment from the individual members. In return for these services, the group payer usually earns a factoring or del credere discount.
Depending on the tax structure of the payer's country, the payer may be liable to pay taxes on factoring discounts that he earns. In Germany, for example, factoring discounts are taxed at the standard rate of 15%. During invoice list processing, you can reimburse the payer in advance for this tax liability by creating special condition records

How to get information about PowerPivot options
I was going through the Custom Xml structure present after unzipping a PowerPivot enabled excel file.
My main motive is to extract information pertaining to PowerPivot options present in the Excel File.
It had around 16- 19 Custom Xmls, I had a little confusion and it would be great if you could help me on this :
1. In the workbook.xml.rels file, there is entry for each Cutomxml file. For ex. –
But according to my interpretation, each of these entries must be referenced also. What i mean is that the specific Rel ID i.e. rId30 (for the above entry) must be referred somewhere in the package that is why it is mentioned in the Workbook.xml.rels.
But i couldn’t find it anywhere. So how does Excel does all the mapping that which Custom XML is referred to?
2. I found out that for each table in the PowerPivot window, there is a Custom XML present in the Custom XML’s folder.
But, there are other field also present such as ‘ColumnFormat’, ‘ColumnNegativePattern’, but these are not getting updated whenever I am changing these for any table.
I can get the Column names of the table but how can i find out what Format has been applied to the Column of the tables.
3. Moreover, I found a bunch of Custom XML’s but couldn’t really make sense out of them that what they were pointing to.
For ex. – CustomXml with namespace – Gemini xmlns=”http://gemini/pivotcustomization/a1265ca3-5c9c-4281-be48-a1a026385b0a”
or “Gemini xmlns=”http://gemini/pivotcustomization/IsSandboxEmbedded””
It would be highly beneficial if you can help with these namespaces and their interpretation.
4. I understand that majority information is present in the database i.e. Item.data file and also in the Temp folders when the file is opened.
I got through some files present in the Temp Folder and could get my hands on information about Column Format, Formula in case of Calculated Columns. But how do I find out the exact path for the Temp folder every time I open the file.
I could find some paths in the Item.data file in the BackUpFile nodes but those didn’t exist.
So is there is any way by which I can get those paths.
Sorry if the query is a little long, but I am actually stuck with the above questions acting as bottleneck.
Thanks a lot!!

I need to de-register my old number from my iphone how do I go about that

I need to get hold of old meesges about 17 months from a previous IPhone. How should I go about that ?
Well, you wouldn't....
I presume you don't have the old phone? Also, that you are talking about text or iMessages? They wouldn't be saved anywhere if that is what you were looking for.

=====================
as we see above , we have high "IP Input" about differnece in cpu =67-54=13 % , which is high value process in software .
i follwed the article here :
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/7500-series-routers/41160-highcpu-ip-input.html
i check and found that my router is fine ,
no arp calls.
no routing loops.
no flapping links.
i checked that my router has cef enabled and no enormous routing protocol updates
i found that i have big differnce between hardware & software process on the router which is 13 %
but when the traffic is more and more , the cpu reach reach 93 % and begin to have drops.
i just want to ask , how can i debug the operations that are done on the cpu processor of the router ???
i mean that if i know that traffic , i can estimate and know the problem that increasing my cpu !!!
another question :
how to debug the packest that has a ttl exceeded 50 or ttl exceeded 100 ?????
i dont wan tto make debug ip packed , because i have a huge traffic and it will let my router hanged due to large debug !!
===============
righ now i will post my router config and some verification:

Do I need to turn in my old phone when I get Early Edge?
I just got this phone on Early Edge, and I've been told different things from different people. I called Verizon, and after finally getting to a real person, they told me that if I got this phone through 'Early Edge', I do NOT need to mail in my old phone (Which I bought on eBay), but if I had 'regular Edge', I do need to mail one in. My receipt says Early Edge. Do I need to mail in my old phone (Which I bought myself)? I don't want to be charged 200$ for something I had no clue about..
If I do have to mail in my phone, do I get some sort of compensation? Like, taking money off my bill?
I did pay 100$ for this iPhone myself, not too long ago.
I just received this new iPhone two days ago and I'm already regretting it.Hello RandomUsername82,
I would be delighted to clarify for you. If you recently utilized the Early Edge option you would indeed need to mail in your old device. Since you were under contract when you utilized this program, we require you to trade in the old device to offset the contract termination fee. Unfortunately there would not be a credit or refund for your device as this device cancels your wireless contract. Please keep us posted if you have any further questions or concerns, thanks!

Depending upon the available ports on your MBP you will need an adapter and an HDMI cable to connect to your TV (unless it is an older model).
These are example of an adapter and an HDMI cable:
eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/CBLMDPHDMI/http://
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/MISC/CBLHDMI1406/
One can find a single cable that combines the two.
Since you have not indicated what MBP you have and the TV connections that are available, these may or may not be applicable in your situation.

Verizon EDGE - Why do I need to trade in my old phone?
I'm not expecting this question to be answered, and this might have been discussed before, but I just need to vent my frustration with Verizon.
After T-Mobile introduced their JUMP program, Verizon did a "me too" and offered EDGE. However, their phone subsidies are still included in the bill (unlike T-Mobile) and you need to trade in your old phone to get a new one via EDGE. What's the point of trading in your old phone if you're paying full price for the new one (over time)?
Also - My contract is now up and if I choose not to do a 2-year extension to get a discounted phone, it would make sense for me to get some sort of discount toward EDGE's monthly payments ($10 off a month, or something like that).
In any case, my old phone has a crack on it and Verizon won't accept it toward EDGE. When I brought it to the store the guy said that I should replace my screen and THEN bring it back in. Right, so I'll pay $100 to repair my screen and then Verizon can make money selling it as refurbished AND charge me a full price for a new one via EDGE.
JUST SAYING.
AndrewWhat kind of phone do you have? There is no need to trade in your old phone to get on Edge if you are not under contract. Verizon sometimes did have special promotion for customers who may be in contract with a 3G smartphone or an older 4G phone. This special promotion required trading in the phone that they had because it was technically still under subsidy and the Edge program would give those customers the chance to "upgrade" before their actual date. However, if you are out of contract trading in your phone is NOT necessary. You have already fulfilled your obligation for that device. If you have an iPhone the rep was trying to get you to trade it in towards accessories for the new phone. They work on commission and this is how they make a huge portion of the sales goal. I know most people don't care about that but a common misconception is that these reps make their money on the phones they sell which does NOT help them. If you are going to buy your phone from a corporate store you should get something else with it.
On to The Edge program. True this program is following suit with T-Mobile's plan. There are some differences. To be on TMo's Jump you are charged your monthly service fee (say $80), then you are charged your monthly fee for the phone (depends on the full price of the phone but say $27 average) which does not include any down payment. TMo also charges you $10 (mandatory) Jump fee. Yes this includes $8 for the insurance but there is still a $2 surcharge to be on the program. With VZW Edge your monthly service fee and your Edge payment. This is calculated by taking the full cost of your device and dividing it by 24. At the time of purchase there is no down payment. You only pay the tax on the full cost of the phone and the first Edge payment. I would opt for the insurance because if you would like to get a new phone before the 24 months is up that phone CANNOT be damaged in any way. With Edge you must complete 30 days with the device and 50% of the full cost of the device and you can change it. For all intents and purposes, Edge is like a lease. You pay monthly and can get out if when you meet the requirements. So, if you like to change to the newest devices or have more freedom this program is where it's at. -
I have tried everything I know to retrieve the iPhoto Library app. I detest this new Photo app, which obviously wasn't designed with photographers in mind. I desperately need help in retrieving the old app and have not been able to do it so far. I have gone to my app folder and tried to update my iPhoto Library. I have gone to my trash and brought it over to my desktop and still cannot use it. Please help!
Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto. -
I have lost nearly all my photos and events. I received a message effectively saying that I need to upgrade from an old base. I think I may have tried to open an event that was stored in iPhoto Buddy a few days ago. iPhoto Buddy is not supported in Lion. How can I retrieve my phjotos?
What version of iPhoto?
Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

HP Pavilion - Do I need external Recovery option?
Hi,
I have just bought a HP Pavilion 15. Keep getting contractdictory advice. Some say must have an external Recovery option; others say why, there is no need and it is a lot of hassle to create a set. Need advice:
1) is it really necessary to have an external option when I have the recovery partition (D) on the hard drive?
2) If I need an external option (however hard that may be to create), am thinking about buying Panasonic DVD-RAM Disc Rewritable 9.4GB. Is this appropriate media? And, how do I work out how many discs I need to buy?
3) absolute worse case secenario - if I needed to recover & didn't have an external recovery media, what would be my other options?
Unfortunately, know enough knowlegde/experince to worry but not enough to know what to do. Can anyone help?
This question was solved.
View Solution. To the best of my knowledge, HP allows driver downloads regardless of warranty status.. About the only time you will ever have an issue is if you are trying to put an OS on a machine it's not designed for.. IE Win7 on a Win8 machine, etc etc..
Even then, there are always alternatives...
My philosophy has always been to NEVER put anything on a computer that you can't live without..
If Drivers are your concern, don't worry. With VERY few exceptions, drivers are ALWAYS available..
The hassle of going out into the wild of the Interent to find them is really the only downside...
