InfoSpoke and comma separation for decimals problem.

Hi there,
I have an Infospoke that executes well and the data is being sent to the .CSV file with no problem. The problem is that my Key Figure output in the origin's ODS has the decimals separation with a comma Example: 14.900,05 but in the CSV file generated from this InfoSpoke, the decimal separation is with a point and without thousands separation: Example: 148900.05
I need my CSV file to have the same output as in the Origin's ODS.
How could I do it?

What do you mean use the appropriate type of KeyFigure. I can change the Key Fegure to whatever I want. The one i use now is the staddart 0AMOUNT, that already has a normal 2 decimal point separated with a comma in my ODS. When I see the data in a ODS, I see it well - 19.500,00 but in a flatfile it's 19500.00
And what about this transformation thing? Could you give me the steps and the example of a code and where should I put it?
If you don't know the code or doesn't have the time, just tell me where should I write it and I'll ask an ABAPer to do it.

ThanksInstall the Oracle client and use the Oracle driver. You're going to need it whether you use the MS driver or Oracles. ODBC drivers do not work apart from the client of the underlying database product.
When you do the install, you will need to do a custom install and specifically select for the Windows components.

Quality of pdfs and colour separations for printing purposes

Having created a 44 page document in Pages, I have exported it as a pdf file so that it can be commercially printed as an A5 magazine. I have used the 'best' option in exporting it as a pdf, but have no idea if that function conforms to PDF-X1A specifications. Is there any documentation that would define the pdf standards within Pages?
The magazine is going to be two colour (headers/footers/callouts etc to be blue). So would the Print: ColorSync (then save as a pdf) option solve the problem that one printer noted:
"I have looked at the pdf you have sent and all seems ok with the quality but the colours don't split to the two separations (i.e blue and black) only CMYK (which is for 4 colour printing). If this does become a print job then we might have to look and see if we can get the pdf's to be the correct colour split."
And would this also ensure that the black is a true black and not a CMYK mixture that might not print correctly in the end?

Yes, this possibly could be a solution, but I did not want to have to buy another piece of software (ie Adobe Acrobat) to produce the newsletter. I like the control that I have over the magazine layout in Pages, but need to be able to ensure that the pdf file I create is of the appropriate quality. Exporting to 'Best' is probably okay, but as I am viewing the pdf using Preview I have little idea how the pdf will look to others. I have read posts that have had problems with the quality of the pdfs exported from Pages when opened with a Windows machine or using Acrobat, so I am trying to ensure that I don't experience similar problems.

Help needed, Oracle and PreparedStatement setNull for VARCHAR problem

Using the JDBC drivers included with JDK 1.3, I am encountering a strange problem when trying use a PreparedStatement with a NULL parameter in a VARCHAR column. When running the code below (user_id is an integer and login is a nullable varchar) the program will simply wait and wait and wait.

If I change the 'ps.setNull(...)' to 'ps.setString(2,"test")' things work fine. Furthermore, I've changed the VARCHAR column to a TIMESTAMP and setting it to null works fine. The above code works fine on DB2 and SQL Server so only Oracle is anatagonizing me.
Any insight or help is greatly appreciated.

The ODBC driver has nothing to do with java. What you are using in java is a JDBC driver.
Various microsoft products install a ODBC Oracle driver. Oracle also provides a driver that is installed with the Oracle Client install.
I have seen reports that suggest the MS driver as good as the Oracle driver, consequently that could be source of your problem.

External Task - prepared and commit method

Actually I am ponting the interactive activity to external Task and in the external task i am getting instanceID , participantId and activity as query paramenters.Using those query paramemeters i am initalizing the ProcessServiceSession and then making call to prepareActivate Method as below.

And I tried to call the IntsnaceID method InstanceId.getProcessId(instanceId), but this getProcessId method gives Null value.

Changing to comma separated values from a table

Hi Pratheej,
There are a huge number of factors that affect the numbers that you are talking about so we cannot simply give a figure. We can quite figures for very specific workloads on very specific hardware but that may not be so helpful to you. By far the best way is to try TimesTen out with your workload on your hardware.
Typical figures for TimesTen 11.2.2 running on a modern Intel Xeon 64-bit CPU with a clock speed of around 2.7 GHz in direct mode with the TPTBM benchmark that ships as part of TimesTen are around 2.4 microseconds for a key based single row SELECT and around 7.7 microseconds for a committed single row key based update.

How to seach for a particular text in comma separated values

I have one table for eg. TB_Fruits.
In that i have one column FruitsName(Varchar)
In that column i am storing string in comma separated values.
Select FruitsName from tb_fruits;
Result: orange,banana,apple
Now the issue is suppose if i try to insert any of these fruits name again then it should not allow me to insert.
Suppose now if i try to insert ('grapes,banana')
or
('apple,grapes')
the orange,banana,apple can be in any position.
How to check if any of these names already exist or not in the column fruitsname?
I cannot use like or INstr function here. because the position is not fixed not even string.

After doing search.
Got to know <= 3 length in word is in stoplist.
That's why the value ALL it was not searching in index.
After modifying the index this problem is solved.

Problem with sqlldr and commit

Hi,
i have a problem with sqlldr and commit.
I have a simple table with one colum [ col_id number(6) not null ]. The column "col_id" is primary key in the table. I have one file with 100.000 records ( number from 0 to 99.999 ).
I want load the file in the table with sqlldr ( sql*loader ) but i want commit only if all records are loaded. If one record is discarded i want discarded all record of file.
The proble is that in coventional path the commit is on 64 row but if i want the same records of file isn't possible and in direct path sqlldr disable primary key :(
There are a solutions?

Problems with BBC iPlayer Desktop and Adobe Air for Mac

I would be grateful for anyone who can help me with a problem I have on my Laptop running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.I am having difficulty running BBC iPlayer Desktop and I suspect it is caused by Adobe Air.
Recently I was prompted to update Adobe Air to the latest version (as of February 2012) and after I successfully updated the program, this began to cause problems when I used BBC iPlayer desktop.
The first problem I noticed was that I was unable to play any downloaded programmes in full screen - only the sound played, not the video.
Secondly, a few weeks after this problem began, all my TV programmes mysteriously disappeared.
My final problem is that everytime I launch BBC iPlayer it is unable to download new programmes - when I am connected to the internet, the application still says it is "offline".
I have tried to resolve the problem by restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling BBC iPlayer, disabling and re-enabling my firewall, connecting to the internet in different locations but this has not resolved the problem.
I tried to uninstall Adobe Air, but the installation package tells me it is 'corrupt'. So I tried to download and reinstall the application from the adobe website, but the computer already recognises that the app is installed. i.e. - I can't uninstall or reinstall Adobe Air.
I contacted BBC iPlayer support and they were unable to help - directing me to your website. I have read several other discussion topics posted on this website but not found the solution I am looking for.
Please can some help me to solve this problem, by helping me uninstall and reinstall Adobe Air for Mac?
I am not very technical minded - for example - I don't know what log files are or how to find them - so please explain it as simply as possible.

Just had the same thing happen AGAIN. Suddenly - a blank iPlayer Desktop which failed to download new programmes. All previous programmes were still in the repository folder. This time the sequence I outlined previously didn't work.
What eventually got things working this time was to reinstall Adobe Air as part of the BBC iPlayer Desktop installation process - and not separately.
So:
a) Move iPlayer to trash.
b) Find and delete the following folder: Users/Yourname/Library/Preferences/BBCiPlayerDesktop.61DB7A798358575D6A969CCD73DDBBD 723A6DA9D.1
c) Find and delete the following folder:
Users/Yourname/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/BBCiPlayerDesktop.61DB7A798358575D6A969CCD73DDB BD723A6DA9D.1
d) Find and delete the following folder:
Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository/cache
e) Find and run: Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Uninstaller
f) Empty the Trash. I found that bits and pieces of BBC iPlayer were still running despite having been quit and dumped in the trash - and so it wouldn't allow me to complete this part. Restarted the computer, then empty the trash.
g) Find the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository and rename it repository2
h) Reinstall iPlayer. It will tell you that you have no programmes to view. Quit the programme.
i) Find and delete the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository
j) Find the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository2 and rename it to repository.
k) Relaunch iPlayer
It would be terribly nice if the BBC or Adobe stopped buggering about with this . . .

15 int digits and 3 decimal digits number problem in CR for VS 2005

HiIm using the Crystal Reports that comes with VS 2005 and I'm having a problem showing a number with 15 int digits and 3 decimal digits. In my tests, for example I have a formula that only has this line of code: 356125478123456.251I want the report to show 356,125,478,123,456.251 but it shows 356,125,478,123,456.000Why does CR puts 000 when it has to be a 251!!! WHY?!!!! I have tried to put the number as a string and I have tried a lot of functions like Round, Truncate, ToText, CDbl, etc and it's always the same result. In the format object of that formula the decimals are 1.000 and the rounding is 0.001. And the following is the weirdest part:If, instead of 356125478123456.251 I put 56125478123456.251, CR shows 56,125,478,123,456.300If then I put 6125478123456.251 CR shows 6,125,478,123,456.250And then if I put 125478123456.251 CR SUCCESFULLY shows 125,478,123,456.251 That is the way I want it but with 15 int digits. It looks like CR only works with a maximum of 12 int digits, more than that, the decimals don't work. How can I fix this? Please help me!Kind regards,Agustín Conde

Hi Agustin,
Crystal Reports uses signed doubles as its datatype for numbers. A signed double on a 32 bit machine is represented by 8 bytes. 1 sign bit, 11 exponent bit, and 52 bit for the mantissa. This roughly corresponds to 15 digits of total precision in decimal; ie. it does not matter where your dot is. You have 15 digits before and after the decimal point combined.
This behavior is pretty standard. You should see similar behavior in applications such as excel.

At first it created a row in database after that it is not creating the new row instead it is updating the same row with the new values.
In bindings of my jspx page I have created two binding for action (1) CreateInsert for the VO of that Application Module (2) Commit operation of that Application Module.
Here is the code snippet of my application:
BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");
Object result = operationBinding.execute();
*if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {*
return null;
OperationBinding operationBinding1 = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
Object result1 = operationBinding1.execute();
*if (!operationBinding1.getErrors().isEmpty()) {*
return null;
I have tried using Execute+Commit and Insert+Commit case also in every case it is updating the same row and not inserting a new row.
Is there anything I am missing?

i dono. why are trying with codes. adf provides zero lines codes.
a wonderful drag and drop functionality provide by the framework.
while double click the button the codes are registered in your bean
