Infotype checks

Hi all,
I made a custom infotype, in which there is an lov and corresponding valuse and keys are in the domain of that field. Now, When the user creates a record he should be simply allowed to do so, but when
<b> the user is changing a record in pa30 which has a particular value in that lov field say '2', he should get an error message that status is already 2 and you cant change this record.</b>
Please suggest how to do this?
<b>* LOV means list of values or dropdown.</b>
Thanks
Ribhu<b></b><b></b>

In user exit PBAS0001 write code for checking value of that field.
Take referance of following code
CASE innnn-infty.
WHEN '9NNN'.      " ur infotype number
    CALL METHOD cl_hr_pnnnn_type_cast=>prelp_to_pnnnn
      EXPORTING
        prelp = innnn
      IMPORTING
        pnnnn = wa_9nnnn.  " work area of type P9nnnn
  when other.
    exit
ENDCASE.
If wa_9nnnn-fieldname = '2'.
  error message
endif.

  • Infotype check and user exit

    hi All,
With the help of answer from my previous post I understand that I need to implement a user exit to do a particular check on my field. Actually when a user inputs a field then i need to compare it to field from some other table.
My doubt is what user exit i need to use..
    ZXPADU01 or ZXPADU02 or ZXPADU03.
My understanding is that ZX*02 is for me since it is implemented in PAI module of screen 2000 for MP999900.
Also can someone explain what different situations we need to use this exits?
Also please mention if BADI exists with the same functionality.
    thanks and regards,
    Reena

if it is a Z infotype then as per my previous post just go to se80 and ur concerend module pool program.
and write a module in PAI on tht particular field as in my post..
if u want to compare it with another table value then u can simply  fetch data frm tht table in this module and compare it with ur field.
U need not to go for USer Exit for the Z infotype.

And one of the fields I want to display as list box. So I modified the module pool. But I couldn't find the input field for the 200 length field in the screen. And hence I am not able to activate the screen after modifying the other field to list box.

  • Enhance infotype 0461...

    Hi Guys,
I may be in wrong forum. This question is belongs to HR ABAP.
    The requirement is as below,
I need to display a Business number for infotype 0461. so, I have implemented a screen Exit BAdi 'HRPADCA_SUBSCRN_9000' and it has also worked.
Now, addition to this , I also need to have new field for 'Business Number' in infotype table 0461 and the value which have been displayed using Badi has to be updated in the same infotype table.
Let me clarify one thing that the mentioned BAdi just evaluate Business no and display on screen , it doesn't have any provision for storing that valkue anywhere.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Error on PA infotypes

    Hi,
I got some errors while doing PA infotypes creation.please help me.
      Short text
A table name, specified in an SQL command, is unknown.
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPFP50P" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
        administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
         not caught in
procedure "READ_DATABASE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
An invalid table name "PA9667" was specified in an Open SQL command:
Due to one of the following reasons, the error occurs only at runtime:
        - the table name was specified dynamically, or
        - the SELECT clause, WHERE clause, GROUP-BY clause, HAVING clause, or
          ORDER-BY clause was specified dynamically.

  • Decoupled Infotype - Correct Buffer Access for PA30 and from BAPI?

Weu2019ve created a custom decoupled infotype and read/delete/update/insert work just fine with PA30, but the same methods supplied with the corresponding Check class do not work when called from a program.  The Check class inherits from CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_NNNN.  After going through some documentation, we made the Check class inherit from CL_HRPA_INFTY_NNNN and now the modify method works if we redefine the modify method to use the direct buffer update methods from IF_HRPA_MASTERDATA_BUFFER (implementation in CL_HRPA_MASTERDATA_BUFFER). But then, PA30 stops working and throws an exception - u201CInfotype does not support legacy accessu201D.
Anyone know why the SAP generated infotype check class methods not work when called as it is? There are no error messages thrown and no messages returned in the message handler too. Just that the database does not get updated. The Read method always works for all cases though. Help documentation is clear about the risks and differences between the two buffer access methods but issues exist when using PA30 and when trying to access/update the buffer from a program or BAPI.

Since you are adopting an approach per [SAP help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/43/21d2254bba2bebe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm], I guess only SAP can help. May be you should try your luck by opening a Customer message (i.e. if you haven't already done so).

  • Creating custom infotype

    Hi,
I want to create a custom infotype with the following fields.
    Molga (country grouping)
    Personnel Number
    Subtype
    Language Key
    Comment Line 1
    Comment Line 2
    Comment Line 3
in this first 4 fields are keys. The user should be able to edit only the rest of the fields.
Subtypes similar to the infotypes values 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 should be created.
While updating and saving the infotypes 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 the system should prompt this infotype through dynamic action to enable the user to enter comments.
can anyone give me a step by step approach for creating this infotype?
    Thanks in advance...

  • Error in BASIS when trying to create a Leave Request

    Hi,
We have developed an application in Oracle Forms 10g which is used by employees to create leave requests and transfer them to the SAP portal through BDC. There's a ABAP program to collect all leave requests applied by many employees in the Oracle system and then transfer them to the SAP Portal. The BDC captures the screen *Test Report for the UIA Interface for Leave Requests in the tcode PTARQ.*
The leaves then appear in the respective approvers portal login and the leaves are accordingly approved or rejected with the status updated back to the Oracle database by another ABAP program. These programs are set as background jobs on the Production server 900 to run on a daily basis in the "BASIS" login.
Lately we found that the program was not updating the leave requests from Oracle to SAP. When I debugged the program in ERROR mode, I found an error is thrown while processing the BDC, after the foll. code in the SAP std. program
    Program name: RPTARQUIATEST
Program Event : In FORM REQUEST_CHECK
    At FORM PROGRESS_INDICATOR
The error message says : No document created: HRTIM_ABS_REQ 075 No personnel number defined for system user name B Message no. HRTIM_ABS_REQ061.
Please advice as to what is creating the problem when using the BASIS login and what does the error mean. If you need some more clarification on this please let me know.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vidya Shirodkar.

    Hi Vidya,
Is this for all the employees or just few of them? This error is usually related to the communication infotype, check 0105 infotype and see if the user ID is correctly maintained.
    Thanks,
    Muktar
