Inheriting or receiving Listiners

OK I'll work this nice an simple
I have a gui component [a jar] of frames, panels, menus, etc. To create [instanciate] one of my nice gui's I simply import myPak.GUIstuff; & MyNiceGUI g = new MyNiceGUI();
All of the above is fine, no hassle an stuff. Now, my App does just the above and creates a gui, this is displayed. From here I want my app to receive all the events and actions imposed on the gui. How can I do this...?
Should I inherite the listeners or sumath? or do i save them or wot?

I on't know why you would want that but anyway do this:
let you main-class implement all the necessary Listeners and make it accessible to the rest (create a static getInstance() method which return the instance of your main-class, or pass a reference to all the components and let them pass it on, ...). Then for all buttons and suchlike state something like:but.addActionListener (MainClass.getInstance());hope this helps,

After upgrading Exchange 2013 to CU6 our ActiveSync functionality stopped (along with a few other things). I have been using ExRCA to troubleshoot and have spent several days looking at forums and trying different things out to get it working again but to
no avail. Essentially when I enter valid account credentials it fails to authenticate and as a result I receive an 401 response.
I have already checked Inherited permissions are enabled for the user account in AD. I have checked that the authentication for the Virtual directory is set to Basic with SSL required. (Have also tried with windows authentication enabled). I have recycled
the ApplicationPool especially the MSExchangeSyncAppPool - That appears to be correctly configured and running under LocalSystem Identity. I have recreated the virtual directory using the reset feature in the EPC. Both internal and external URLs are set as
well as the CAS server being assigned to the External URL.
The report that I get: -
An ActiveSync session is being attempted with the server.
Errors were encountered while testing the Exchange ActiveSync session.

I cannot update iPhoto as I receive a message saying update not available for this Apple ID as either it was bought by a different user or was cancelled

I have inherited my daughters Macbook Air and am trying to update i photo. The message I receive is - update not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by another user or item was refunded or cancelled.
I have tried her ID which was still unsuccessful.
I cannot access my photos at all. Can anyone help?

Sign onto her Apple/iTunes ID in the iTunes Store. Then click on the iTunes ID and then on Account in the dropdown. Once you have her account screen displaying, scroll to the bottom and click on RESET next to the line "Reset All Warnings for Buying and Downloading", then try again (with her iTunes ID still signed on).

Assistance with an inherited Zen Vision:M media player, plea

I inherited a Creative Zen Vision:M (30 GB, pink) due to someone getting Ipod fever and bequeathing her old player to me. What I ended up receiving was a functioning device, a power chord but no cradle, no interface cables. The latter were found easily on Amazon. I downloaded the following firmware:
Creative MediaSource 5: (Player, Go!, Audio Convertor, and Organizer)
creative video convertor
Creative Zencast Organizer
Creative Synch Manager
Do I need anything else? Got the link for it's I synched up a lot of music, some audio books and podcasts, even videos, so I'm pretty sure I've got the hang of the HOW... it's the next step, organizing and playing what I uploaded, that is giving me fits.
The interface seems a tad confusing. It plays audio files automatically (you can chose to play video, Photos, FM Radio, Extras, the microphone and calendar and such, but you you have to select them from a drop down menu available on the bottom right). The music plays in a constant shuffled randomized list. There seems to be NO music or audio files menu on this device whatsoever. You just listen to whatever comes up. I'd like to choose what I hear, or be able to build a picklist (or playlist) on the fly, so I can hear things like Podcasts and Audio books without hitting "Next, next, next, next, next, next, next-- YAY!" to listen to the next chapter of an audio book.
So, how do I select SPECIFIC MUSIC FILES that I want to play using the CREATIVE ZEN VISION:M's firmware built in on the device? Will the firmware upgrade help solve this problem, or is it only for the 60GB version of the Vision:M?

First things first - if you want to hear things in a specific order you have to go to settings> play mode> normal? (not 'shuffle').
Then you have to make sure the files that are on your player are tagged correctly. This means editing the album, artist, genre information eg in MediaSource. Make sure that the track numbers in a specific album are correct (often they will be anyway). Then you can go to 'Music Library' on the player and select the album, artist or genre you want.
Eg. If I want to listen to an audiobook of 'Henry IV' (thought you might appreciate that one!), I'll make sure all the tracks for this audiobook are tagged with the album name 'Henry IV'. Then I'll make sure the tracks have the correct track number so they follow on from each other. Then, with play mode set to 'normal' I'll go to Music library> albums> Henry IV> highlight and press 'play'. I'll also know that if I like I can use the button on the bottom right of the player to set bookmarks within each track of the audiobook.

Host Throttling on receiving files using SFTP

We have this problem in BTS2006 and now we migrated to BTS2013 and we still have the problem.
Problem: We are using nSoftware SFTP adapter. Sometimes the host handler gets into idle state on some receive locations. It will not pickup the file until I restart the host instance. We have several RLs running on that particular host instance and they
all are getting bounced when we restart the host instance. This is happening only on SFTPs. There is no guarantee that the file is delivered successfully. Most of the times business calls us stating the file is not received. The host create 64/32 bit if that
matters. We have almost 200 interfaces running on each host instances not sure if that matters. I can create more hosts if needed but that would cost some system resources and thinking of not to do.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Since it might be inherited with the software/or volume you migrated from 2006 to 2013, it won't solve automatically just migrating BizTalk version.
Did you find out the throttling condition? I would suggest to have a look in to the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-au/library/aa559893.aspx which could be the starting point to look into for detecting the catch.
I have personally not used nSoftware SFTP adapter but I would suggest using separate host handler for suspected (victim) SFTP send ports and check the figures as per the conditions you identified. Since you already have 2013, it has very nice dashboard (right
click on the host and go to setting) for you to play with figure.
If you share your volume/size of message and what the core process is, probably you would get better suggestion.

How does role inheritance work in GRC

We are implementing GRC PC 10.0 where we have activated Role inheritance for organization in Maintain Authorization Customization Node in SPRO.
What i understood is by activating the role inheritance for organizations, you can specify that authorizations are to be passed on to lower levels of the organization. However I need to know if inheritance also helps in picking up the recipients while doing planning activity, I have two queries in this regard:
For eg :
1) if we have a Control Tester role maintained at subprocess and control level both and if a User is assigned to subprocess for Control tester role then in that case User will be also be mapped to all the control beneath the subprocess for Control tester role due to inheritance concept ..correct? and while planning for that particular control, does user maintained at subprocess level will be picked as a recipient ?
2) A Control tester gets mapped at the subprocess level. This means that all controls under that subprocess would show this tester as inherited from the subprocess. However, if we do not want the inherited tester to perform the test, and instead map a tester at the control level, the inherited tester still appears. IN this case, will only the tester mapped at the control level receive the work inbox item for the control test (as this overrides the inherited tester), or will the inherited tester also receive it?

It is not initialized. There is a difference. See section 12 of the JLS.
Assuming the above is true, it appears the following
is happening
1. C is loaded because w is accessed from DD�s main .
This loading causes �w� to be echoed and then �x� to

members which in turn call the echo method (I am
assuming that this only happends when the members are
not �constants�).
2. The main method then echoes the w variable (which

Having said this, I would think this code would behave
differently on different JVMs so I am not sure how it

Leverage Inheritance Benefits in 'document/literal' Web Services

I have developed a document/literal web service that receives an object I created, say ParentObject.
I developed it under the assumption that once I create a web service for ParentObject, I'll be able to use the same web service for ChildObject as well, which is a sub-class from ParentObject. Unfortunately, it did not work.
Please correct me if I'm wrong; is it really not possible to leverage inheritance capabilities web services? And if it's not possible, what workaround(s) do you use in such scenarios when you don't want to create a new web service for each object type despite that they all have the same logic?

Problem with SAPServerHost - Receiver Idoc

Good afternoon!
I am using the component SAP.Net Connector to receive IDOC's from the SAP, for this I created a Windows Service and in the OnStart event I create the SAPServerHost object that will go to talk with the SAP (through the transaction sm59, for example).
It happens that some times the SAP does not obtain to see this object, thus being does not obtain to send the IDOC's for windows service.

The SAPServerHost itself doesn't register at the SAP gateway. The actual SAPServer-inherited instances do so. You create them and attach them to the SAPServerHost. The host can control the state of the servers that it hosts, e.g. it can stop, pause and continue them.

ProcessTCPEvents & priority inheritance

Hello,
I'm working with CVI RT on a dual core PXI. One CPU is dealing with TCP (server) and the other one is running a 1kHz custom regulator.
When a windows client connect on the PXI, the server receive the configuration and the start command. During regulation, mean values are sent every 100ms. Everything is fine and both CPU are loaded between 2 and 3 %.
After 5 to 15 s both CPU are 100% loaded during 1 to 2 s before going back to the previous state.
By using the real time execution trace toolkit I identified the problem around the function ProcessSystemEvents running on CPU 0. The client does NOT send any request and there is nothing to process comming from TCP (except server mean values emission every 100ms). The server thread (THREAD_PRIORITY_NORMAL, CPU 0) inherits the priority of the regulator thread (THREAD_PRIORITY_HIGHEST, CPU 1). Because there is no activity on TCP from client to server I assume that the only function running on the server Thread is ProcessSystemEvents.
So why ProcessSystemEvents never end up ?
I set name to identify Threads and RTETT display them correctly, I did the same for lock but I cannot see anything. Is there a way to display them ?

Additionnal informations:
I tested a new version of the Real-Time controller program without any CVI TCP function. Everything is low level socket based. I also removed all critical sections but the problem is still there.
The switch occurs now between my regulator thread on CPU 1 and the server loop on CPU 0 (still no activity on TCP...). printf is executed very often during the switching period but I'm not using printf in my software !
I'm not sure to be able to relies on the trace toolkit because:
* the program is running during ~20s but I sometimes get 20ms in the trace toolkit (sometime 5s but never the expected duration)
* I set name for thread and lock (I kept the creation/destruction and just remove acquire and release) and a lock name show up in the thread view...
Any ideas ?
Is there new versions of software I can use to debug that problem ? (CVI 9.1.1 > 450 & RTETT 2.0.3).

Nested regions best practice regarding inheritance of editable regions.

Have a template page, http://www.satgraphics.com/templates/main_01.dwt in which I have an area labeled "div#main_wrapper".
When attempting to make it an "editable" region, I received the following comment: "The selection already contains or overlaps with an editable, repeating, or optional region".
I had already made the "header" and "column_left" regions editable, but as the "column_left" is nested within the wrapper, my question would be; Would the correct process be to un-do the "column_left" editable region, make the "div#main_wrapper" editable, and be able to edit the "column_left" area as an inherited editable area?
When I did try to do so to the "main_wrapper" div, I did not get the identifier label (blue text block at top left of each area) and received the warning as mentioned previously.

I did attempt to specify the "main_wrapper" div, but did so after already creating the "column_left" div region as editable, (nested in the "wrapper") and that is when I received the error message.
As an aside, the site is fairly simple, so I am using a single template in which I do make content changes to header, column_left, and hopefully within the wrapper itself) for each new page, thus intentionally wanting editable region in content of "wrapper".
The "footer" and "menu" are the two areas in which I did not open up for change; the "menu" is a library item, so any changes are made from there.
So, question now becomes that of getting the "main_wrapper" div editable and how can that be done without the aforementioned message?

Updating an inherited computer in simple terms

My 95-year old father has inherited a G4 iMac from a friend. It currently runs OS 9. something, and I've sent him a set of OS 10.4 disks. The computer name in his friends name and the admin privilege password was set by his deceased friend--so unreachable outside of seances. He is worried that he will lose everything in doing an OS install, but would love to have the newer system, including more recent versions of Safari, etc. Can anyone send VERY simple instructions that I can send him on resetting his computer name, user settings and admin password, so he will not freak out in doing this.

Retail version? If your father did not also receive the System Install DVDs that originally came w/the computer then he can obtain replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those -

The above DVDs are needed to troubleshoot and to change passwords. Otherwise, your father inherited a glorified door stop.

Java ME 3.0 Web Services Stub Generator Inheritance problem

I have a problem with that relates to inheritance.
Suppose I have abstract class User and class Member that extends class User.
Suppose I have web service MyService:

When the server returns a Member instance instead of User I receive a MarshalException at the Client.
The reason is " Invalid Element in Response:" + Member field that isn't part of User.
I am using Java Me SDK 3.0 wscompile stub generator.
I have also checked it with GlassFish stub generator wsimport and there the problem didn't appear.
Ideas ?

Seems like you are missing a necessary jar-file in your forms-classpath. Check the libraries attached to your project in Jdeveloper and add them to the path.

Inheritance in JNI

I'm trying to take an API that's written in Java and calling it from C++ using JNI.
My question deals with inherited types. For instance, in Java, we can do the following:
List list = new List();
String in = "me";
list.add(string);
String out = (String) list.get(0);
out.toString(out.substring(1));
When I get the string out of list, the type is Object, which I cast to String, and then I can do whatever I want just like it was a String (since that's what I put in).
So in my C++ code, a List such as the one above is given to me as the return value of a Java method. In other words, I didn't add anything to the List, it just comes back as a jobject that already has some other objects in it. Then I run the equivalent of list.get(0) using CallObjectMethod, which returns another jobject, of which I know the type. However when I try to run a method on that element of the list, I get a Java coredump and a seg fault.
I think what's happening is that the "type" of the jobject that gets returned from list.get(0) is java.lang.Object and when I try to run any object specific method, like String.substring(), JNI doesn't recognize the jobject as one of type String so it dies on me. Does anyone know how to "cast" a jobject? Or am I just completely off in my assessment of what is causing the problem?

From Java layer i receive an array of super class objects. but in JNI layer i need to access the methods of subclass, for that i need to cast to subclass. in JNI there are methods like IsInstanceOf and IsAssignableFrom which can justify the validity of a casting, but there are no methods to cast as such. can some one help me sort it out.

DspHandle. Handle implementation, able to add itself to a Receiver.
IODriver. Implemented in terms of DspHandle, It is the actually instantiated object.

The dynamic cast in Receiver::add, trying to downcast Handle to DspHandle, fails.
This same code works, for example with GNU g++ 4.1.3:

What is the reason of the dynamic_cast being rejected. Since the pointer is actually a DspHandle* , even when it is part of a private class, shouldn't it be downcastable to DspHandle? I think that perhaps the pointer should be rejected by Receiver::add(Handle &a) as it could be seen as a IODriver, that can't be converted to its private base. But since it's accepted, shouldn't the dynamic_cast work?
Changing the inheritance of IODriver to public instead of private avoids the error, but it's not an option in my design.
So, questions: Why is it failing? Any workarround?

But could you please provide a deeper answer? I would like to know where do you think the problem is. Shouldn't the reference be accepted by Receiver:add, since it can only be seen as a Handle using its private base, or should the dynamic_cast work?
Aren't we actually trying to cast to a private base? However, casting to private bases directly uses to be rejected in compile time. Should the *this pointer passed from the DspHandle class to Receiver be considered a pure DspHandle or a IODriver?

A Standard and RecGen DO are two different DO categories.
A data object category defines a default flow definition for a data object. When you create a data object, you choose the data object category you want to serve as its template. The newly created data object inherits the flow definition from the selected data object category.
You cannot use a Standard DO in place of a RecGen DO, coz they have fairly different functionalities.
Standard DO has the basic functionality of transferring the data between DOE and client and vice versa.
Where as Receiver generation (RecGen) data objects are used to generate the logical devices for the mobile clients for the purposes of distributing data to the appropriate subscribers. The fields defined in the receiver generation data object define the information to be extracted from the back end for storage in the device inventory. These fields are mapped to receiver meta model fields.
