Initialize Jtable in Edit Mode without clicking mouse

I am writing an inventory software where I need JTable to start in edit mode in my invoicing dialogue.
Here is the code I tried (which is not working):
ProductsGrid.setRowSelectionInterval(0, 0);
ProductsGrid.setColumnSelectionInterval(0,0);
ProductsGrid.setEditingRow(0);
ProductsGrid.editCellAt(0, 0);
ProductsGrid.getEditorComponent().requestFocus();
Additionally, I would like the newly added row to be in edit mode, after I select and add a product from a pop-up dialogue.

How do i get firefox to not be in full screen mode without a mouse or keyboard?

for some reason Firefox switched to full screen mode and i can't get out of it. I'm using Firefox on a tablet PC running windows 8.1 so using F11 or a mouse is not an option. at least i assume it's full screen mode. i can't see my bookmarks bar, my address bar, or even the windows task menu at the bottom of the screen, where my virtual keyboard is located at. i can get to the settings menu (i have Firefox set to start on a new page) but i can't find bookmark bar, address bar, or full screen settings there. I tried using IE11 to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it but it kept the setting. A "turn off full screen mode" button in the settings would be super helpful or a "force show address bar" button.

By the way, if Firefox is ''stuck'' in full screen mode, I think you could clear that by removing the settings file which stores window dimensions. Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders in Windows Explorer.
''If none of those is available: Use the Run command (or maybe the charms bar search box), type or paste the following and tap Run/Search or Enter on the virtual keyboard:''

Help for Activating Editing Mode on F2 Keyboard Click for a Tree Node

I have a Jtree with several Nodes on the Left Pane. On the Right Pane I have a nodes corresponding Screen with many properties. There is a way to change the Node Name by editing the Name Field property on the Right.
I want to Edit the tree Node name by Clicking F2 on the selected Node, Get it in the Editable Mode, Change the name and press enter. How Do I activate this editable Mode on Click of Keyboard F2 Button.

I would like to freely add clip art in Full Edit Mode in PSE 5.0

Hello,
I am new to Photoshop Elements. I have PSE 5.0 on a windows XP platform with service pack 3 installed. I want to be able to create flyers with PSE and would like to freely be able to add various types of clip art into my canvas. I know you can do this when you're creating slides, but I want to be able to do this in PSE full edit mode, not by creating a slide show via the organizer.
There are tons of clip art online and they have various file types too. I am also wondering if I can use any of the file types as well. The ones that PSE has for the slide shows are .png. But online I have seen .wmf, .mpf, .jpg as well. How can I incorporate all this clip art for use in creating flyers and/or logos by just starting with a blank 8.5 x 11 canvas in full edit mode?
Any expert help here would be greatly appreciated. I was able to do this using Word, but Word of course lacks the graphic quality and optionality of PSE greatly.

Thanks for your reply here Bob. I have read what you mentioned above and am not quite sure how to do it that way. What I have been doing so far is to find a clip art item somewhere, copy it to the clipboard, then bring it into PSE with the File-New-from clipboard command.
This will bring it into it's own space and Layer as a separate file on it's own. Then I select it, copy the selection to the clipboard once again, move over to my blank canvas which only has one background layer now, and paste it onto this canvas.
This seems to be working, but I loose the Vector graphic aspect of the clip art image because it converts it to a raster type of image now. So I have to be very careful in resizing it to not loose resolution and such.
I noticed when I go to create a slide show in PSE, I have access to the graphics palette where you can double click a piece of clip art and it goes right onto your slide and stays as a vector image. I can get to these images while in full-edit mode, but I have to use the file-open command and navigate to the right folder and then open one up into full-edit mode as it's own layer. But then once again, I loose the vector aspect and I have to go through the process of selecting it, copying it to the clipboard and then pasting onto my blank canvas.
I know that MS Word is no match for this product, but at least there I could easily add clip art to any flyer I am making without loosing the vector aspect. But I know that the quality is so much better here in PSE and that I just need to learn how to utilize more of its functionality and power. Hence why I am writing this post I suppose.
Isn't there an easier way to get clip art into your blank canvas in full edit mode without having to go through all this and/or without having to create a slide show to get access to this clip art pallete? And having to loose the vector aspect of the clip art is not so wonderful either. Did I buy the wrong Adobe application - Ha!
Should I be using Illustrator since I want to create flyers using clip art, type and effects?
My apologies for this long post, but I would really like to be able to utilize, if at all possible, PSE 5.0's full power to create great quality flyers using all these things.

i am using Workshop 8.1 (GA release july) and i have discovered a bug (or a
feature) with respect to the beta version.
i have created a simple portlet with a view mode and an edit mode. When i
place the portlet on the very first page of a one book portal, it works
perfectly. However, i have a book with three pages and placed the portlet on
the second page. Now when i put the portlet in edit mode, by clicking the
edit button, i am directed to the first page of the portal and the portlet
will not show.
Inspection learned that the URL generated for the edit button, didn't
contain the _pagelabel parameter. When i added the parameter manually it
works fine.
A final remark is that the buttons in the titlebar have no icons the browser
can load.

I upgraded to Firefox 12.0. Now, my Gmail calendar will not open in edit mode. I reverted to Explorer, and the calendar does open there. What is the remedy?

I upgraded to Firefox 12.0. Now, when I attempt to reach my Gmail calendar, it only comes up in read-only mode. I temporarily went to Explorer. the calendar comes up in edit mode without issue. What should be my next steps to resolve this?

Missing Panels in all three Edit Modes (Mac -- PSE 8)

Anyone have any ideas on this? Installed PSE 8 on my MacBook tonight, and thanks to this forum I've been able to troubleshoot a couple of glitches. But this one has me stumped. When i select any of the three edit options on the right side of the screen (full, quick or guided), I don't get any of the sliders or other tools that normally appear below the edit mode. Clicking the little 'Expand Panels' or 'Collapse to Icons' triangles doesn't help. The entire section where the panels should appear remains blank. I've reset the preferences (and purged the cache) but no luck there either.

OK.
I did have PSE6 installed prior to installing PSE8 (not trial versions). After installing PSE8 I uninstalled PSE6 using the uninstall option on the CD. I didn't do anything with 'deactivate' when I uninstalled PSE6, but presumably using the CD to uninstall would take care of all the required steps. I did enter the serial number when I set up PSE8, but it sounds like it didn't register. So, I'll ininstall PSE8 using the CD uninstall option (assuming there is one, otherwise I'll use the applications uninstaller), reload, and see what happens.

Add Content button not rendered inside Portlets on edit mode

Hi,
I have a requirement where administrators will add some external content(Add content) either from taskflow or portlet and that external content (along with taskflow output) will be shown to the users based on some logic performed inside the taskflow/portlet bean code.
This PanelCustomziable should render AddContent button inside the portlet when pressing ctrl shiftE, but its no doing so? Where as the same PanelCustomizable renders AddContent button inside the taskflow on edit page? Any settings or changes needs to be done to make it work in porlet when consumed in portal?
a)taskflow cannot be selected for this purpose, as there will be only a single instance of the taskflow across the portal and it cannot retain runtime MDS changes to a specific instance (Unless we design the ADF taskflow with MDS customization layer). By default, any runtime change in one taskflow instance will be propagated to all the other taskflow instances of the portal.
(For eg.. Admin drops this taskflow onto a page1 and adds a image(external content) using the button AddContent inside the taskflow because of PanelCustomizable and close the page. He drops the same taskflow from RC only to find that the changes he done on page1 is being retained here ..its not resuable because of no MDS per instance)
So we selected Portlet for this purpose, as it has the inbuilt personalization framework. Admin can personalize each portlet instance and drops on the the same page and diff page again. But with portlets, Add Content is not rendered.
Its not just external content, the taskflow / porltet has some logic to perform and displays some output based on the ruleId which is the input parameter.

How to get out of tex edit mode with a single button?

Hey,
Is there a way to escape from text edit mode with a single click or button?
So far I always hit CTRL+Enter, then V and then I click away from the canvas so that the paragraph ain't higlighted no more. But thats a pain in the butt! Cant there be a single button for this?

Something interesting I just noticed: Double-clicking outside a text box can have different effects according to context.
With the Pointer tool selected, double-clicking on a text box allows you to edit the text. In this "quick edit" mode, double-clicking outside the text box will return you to the Pointer tool.
If the Text tool has been selected manually, double-clicking outside a text box will create a new text box.

Vertical scroll in edit mode and Open a complete row in edit mode

Any help would be greatly appreciated , if someone can share their knowledge/experience on the following two items ..
1. Can you please help on how to implement vertical movement in data grid (Using the up and down arrows to move from an editable cell in one row to the same column in the previous/next row) just like using tab to move in the same row, from one editable cell to the next? Please note we are able to implement the user navigation in editable mode in one single row and the user tabs from left to right and the cells render in edit mode without issues.We are trying to implement this in a vertical fashion to have the datagrid cell rendered in edit mode from one column in one row to the same column in the next row ..We are tryinng to simulate the same user feel when a user navigates in Excel sheet.
2. Is there a way to open a cell in Flex datagrid edit mode by default? I understand that the itemrenderer for that column could be a text input but I don’t always want that cell to be in an edit mode. When the user comes to the screen, it needs to be in an edit mode just as a visual indicator that it can be edited. Once the user finishes editing, the cell can use the default itemrenderer. In other words, how do we fire an edit event on a cell when it is rendered for the first time by default? In nut shell how do you open all fields in the entire row in edit mode (rather opening one cell at a time it in edit mode as the user tabs from left to right )

When i save any opport with errors it gets save with errors messages but the page is in non-editable mode but we want it in the editable mode till the errors are not removed fully.

How to exit edit mode (editable comboBox)?

I have an editable comboBox. When a user clicks on the text
area, he can rename the text and the idea is to click outside the
comboBox to commit the new value.
The problem now is when the user clicks outside the comboBox,
the comboBox remains in edit mode(with the blinking prompt). How do
I make it get out of that mode?

setting comBox.editable=false in the function where you
commit the vaules will solve this purpose.
Also remember to set it in edit mode when click event on the
combobox happens

Directly enter edit mode of JTable cell

Hi Everyone,
On my UI, i am showing editable JTable. When I click on table's row / cell, it selects the row. Fine.
But I want that it should directly enter edit mode of cell and the whole text is to be selected and highlighted and focussed.
Thus, user can directly type the new text.
Please suggest correct approach to handle this scenario.

** For text selection you have two choices. Remove the "xxx" from either
** editCellAt() or prepareEditor() method.
** The difference is in how mouse double clicking works
** To place a cell directly into edit mode, use the changeSelection() method.

How to get the value from a cell in jTable without click "enter" or "tab"

I have a simple question. I have a jTable in my screen and when editing a value, but without click "enter" or "tab" I want to get the new value. I have a button update and after editing the value I click the button "update" and I want the new value to be store in my table. If try to get the selected value it is giving the old value. How can I implement this? Any idea? I hope I was clear.

I use some sofisticated customizing with server-side validation of the form data. I want to redirect to the page of the portlet "show" mode and to the "edit" mode depending on the validation results. How can I do it?

Heay.....this worked for me.
I am able to change the mode programatically from edit to show.
HttpPortletRendererUtil.handleEditAction(portletRenderRequest,"OK");
I removed Apply , OK and Cancel buttons and applied my own Submit and Back button in Personalize mode and then change the mode to show on click of Back button using the above mentioned statement.
