Inline XML Publisher PDF rendered using IFRAME in Self Service

Hi,
We have created an XML Publisher Report (PDF) which renders inline in a SelfService Page.
When we click on the Save Icon in the IFRAME, The File Name is really long including the Applications URL, DBC File, File Name etc.
Ex: http___it21.marvell.com_8005_OA_HTML_xdo_doc_display.jsp_dbcName=it21_devt&fileName=MVL_HR_EMP_APPRAISAL_DETAIL-1163094244_out.pdf.pdf&mFileLength=50068&p_output=_devt_prod_prodcomn_html_fwk_t_MVL_HR_EMP_APPRAISAL_DETAIL-1163094244_out.pdf
The requirement is to change the File Name to PerformanceAppraisal.pdf

I have made use of your code to display PDF files in an IFRAME tag too!!! I just dint believe that this would be possible. Please just take a look at my JSP page.

YOu do not need to create the XDODTEXE, its seeded for you. You need to do the following:
1. Create and test the data template
2. Load the data template to the template manager against a data definition
3. Create a concurrent program definition that uses the XDODTEXE as its executable
4. Create parameters (if required) for the CP and DT that match in name

Print stored pdf files to a XML Publisher PDF report

I want to print PDF attachments to a XML Publisher PDF report. How can I do it?
For eg. We have an iRecruitment vacancy IRC1309 for which the applicants upload pdf resumes. We want to print applicant resumes to a single PDF file for review.

I have requirement to show attachment file in AR invoices which is .pdf files in BI Reports or Oracle Report.. Can ony one guide me please.
Iam able to read blod data from fnd_lob table and also able to see junk data in xml output. Once rft template is generated then it is coming as blank. It does stream lob data. Can you please provide xsl fo statement to read.

How to use 2 vo's in xml publisher pdf genarate report from oaf--urgent

i am integrating xml publisher report from oaf. I found one good artical published by prabaker in apps2fusion site and i implemented the same. But it is used onley one view object to generate pdf. But in my case i want to use 4 view objects to generate report as pdf. So, kindly suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
When we develop simple XML report also we used to get single data source either generated either from RDF or PL/SQL, in OAF XML data is coming from VO and XML Publisher API’s will process that data.
This approach works fine if you are having one VO, but if you are having two VOs then it is not possible (As per my understanding and comparing this scenario with simple XML publisher report).
I also faced same problem few months back, on my form I was having two VOs one for header and other for Lines and I have generate Report to show the data for both Headers and Lines. In my case I created a separate VO that was containing both Header and Line details and I was passing header Id to query that. I used query this VO only when someone clicks on “Print” button and it worked fine for me.

Showing the XML publisher report in an iframe..

Hi all..
Please help me with this question.
Before: We had a "http page" and we are showing a XML Publisher report which is also in "http" ,in an iframe of the parent page. Previously it was working fine, as both are http.
*** Basically we are generating a URL of the report and showing it in a iframe of the web application****
Now: Recently we configured ssl to the parent page (https), and the report sever is still in "http". Because of this difference, whenever we are calling that report,it is showing a security alert and redirecting to totally wrong page.
Is there any configurations that i can do in the ""report server" to rectify this issue.Please help me with this issue.

can i do it only with the xml Publisher , because when i tried it in the past and get all the staff like Template / DD / CP up and running and started the CR i get an error from the system that he is missing a report directly in the file system... so he searched for the report himself on system like a standard 6i Report. But the template and the dd is stored in the db. So my question again, can I use the XML Puplisher without a Standard Report or can i use a dummy file only for checking and after that he use my template / dd.

XML Publisher pdf output need each page wise start and end number

I have xml publisher out put in PDF. Now i need on each page header and detail part.
In header for each page it should repeat and should be print the min and maximam number of the columns.
I mean in the header start and end number of the column value for that particular page.
I did many ways but there is no luck.

XML Publisher PDF DOCUMENT MERGER

Hi,
The Report POXPRPOP (Print Purchase order Report) has been customized with XML publisher for PDF output. The RTF has been designed and it works well. Now I have to combine the two or more PO attachment with above XML report output and produces single PDF as output at concurrent request. The PO attachment is BLOB (PDF file, Word doc). For this I found that in the XML Publisher User Guide that we make this as post processing event through PDFDocumentMerger API.
Could any one validate this and also suggest if any other best approach to do this?
if you know more about this PDF document MErger could you know me how to stimulate this process?

XML Publisher can not use after installation

Dear All,
I need your help on the XML Publisher!
Today, I instaleed the XML Publisher Desktop in my PC. Normally, the Template Builder menu will be added into word once XMLP is installed. But I faced a strange issue today.
As we know, there is a sample rtf file will be opened once the installation completed, at this time, if I open any other rtf file, the template builder is there, but once I closed all rdf files and reopen any rtf file, the template builder menu is missing and can not be found any more. I reinstalled many time, but the issue is still there. Can someone help me on this? I really don't want to reinstall Windows to fix the issue.

Publish Pages Document using Apple's print service?

I've created a travelogue in pages. 60% text and 40% photos.
Is there a way to use Apple's print service (a la iPhoto Books) to publish a few copies?
Note: I posted a similar message in the iPhoto forum. Sorry if that breaks any rules of this discussion board.

Have you tried to import the pdf file(s) into iPhoto, and then selected them into a book so they could be printed ?
Also this sounds kind of expensive.

Faxing adobe pdf forms using actions in CRM service process

Hi experts,
Does anybody has experience in sending adobe PDF forms as a fax using actions in CRM service processes? Currently I use this by implementing a PPF BAdI, but what else configuration, software and hardware requirements I need to make faxing work in CRM?
Is it possible to use 3rd party software to send the fax for example winfax and transfer the fax number to this?

As far as I remember, we already know each other
Our company have been using winfax in the past for sending fax messages. Now that they will use SAP-CRM shall they buy a new fax server? I have looked after Topcall, it might be useful with RFC?
In CRM service order, I use the EXEC_METHODCALL_PPF BAdI implementation to collect the data from the service order, and then use the standard function modules to "print" or "fax" the PDF document (call function FM_NAME).
At this function module, which structure do I neet to enter the recipient's fax number (I read somewhere that I have to use DEVICE='TELEFAX' in the output_options - is it true?) ?
Or should I communicate from the BAdI with Business Communication Services (create recipient and similar methods)?
Is there any way to send the fax from the local machine where the user uses the SAP GUI?

One way would be to download the HRSSA workflow to a wft file (using the WFLOAD utility - see MOS Doc 578248.1), then comparing this downloaded wft file with the two files you have (using a utility such as diff in Unix). The comparison that reports no differences will identify the wft that was uploaded into the database.

Special Characters in XML Publisher PDF Output

I'm printing "Long Text" in report output in every line based on tab.
Report output is having special characters like \n.
I was using below to print in next line, any suggestions for removing \n.
Below is what was happening:

Xml publisher pdf layout in ebs is incorrect

Hi,
I am doing a pdf report for a pre-printed layout.
My layout has to be exact for all pages.
i have a grouping on top of my layout..
when runing it in ebs the first page on top has less space , and the other pages has more space on top of the page.
but the 2nd, 3rd, etc... has the exact layout
can it be the G (grouping) on top of my page that is causing this problem?
and how would i solve this??

Can someone on Apps 11.5.10.2 who has applied the patch (I believe it upgrades the server version to 5.6.3) check and see if the behavior I described is the same on their system?
Or can someone tell me if this is expected?
