Input fields vanishing with mouseover

This bug seems to have started around FF14 and still persists to the latest version.
In forms, all input fields will show as expected on page load. Then, when you move your mouse across the fields, some (but not all) will vanish and reappear, seemingly randomly. This occurs with both input text and select form elements. You can still type in the text field or select options from the drop-down but it is challenging to do so as the elements do not appear properly.
Some possible, but inconsistent, fixes are applying styles with specific pixel font sizes, and setting background colours on the form elements.

I'm having the same issue as JennyWren. I've tried the suggestions by cor-el, unfortunately nothing has worked for me either.
Are there any other suggestions out there?
I will keep on working on this and update this thread when I come across some sort of solution... I have this strange suspicion that the answer lies in some dark CSS.

  • How to get the co-ordinates of a dynamically created input field

    Hello Frn's
    i have created a dynamic text view . but this text view is not appearing at proper position . I want palce it infront of a dynamically created input field . how can i do this ?
    as i am thinking ...i should first of all  get info about the co-ordinates of   dynamaclly creatd input field . and with respect to these co-ordinates ...set the position of  text View .
    Please suggest  your thoughts .

    Hi,
    There is no provision in WD for getting screen coordinates and then placing the UI element.
    You to add the UI element to layout editor and based on the layout type it will add the UI element to respective position.
    I would advice not to create dynamic UI elements( instead you can create them statically and then play with visibility status through context binding ). This will be more effective way and less error prone. This is also recommended practice.
    still,For dynamic creation you can refer to following wiki:

  • How to set focus on invisible input field?

    Hi Guys,
    I need an invisible input field and have to set an input focus on it. My problem is that if I set input field’s property visible=blank, I get my invisible field <b>BUT</b> the function call doesn’t work (setInput.requestFocus()).
    I suppose that I can’t set a focus if an input field is invisible.
    Does somebody know how can I solve my problem? Is there a possibility to do this input field invisible with java script? If yes, how does it work in Web Dynpro?
    Thanks
    Marita

    Hi
      Setting a focus on invisible input field will not work even if you follow the method what sowjanya has suggested. The method wdThis.wdGetAPI().requestFocus() will not work for read-only and disabled fields.
    By the way why do you want to set the focus on a invisible input field. If you can tell us the requirement maybe we could think of an alternate solution. But i guess for the current scenario setting focus on invisible input field does not work.

  • How to create popup window with radio buttons and a input field

    Hi Guys,
    Can somebody give some directions to create a stand alone program to create a window popup with 2 radio button and an input field for getting text value. I need to update the text value in a custom table.
    I will call this stand alone program from an user exit.
    Please give me the guidance how go about it or please give any tutorial you have.
    Thanks,
    Mini

    Hi,
    There are multiple aspects of your requirements. So let's take them one at a time.
    You can achieve it in the report program or you can use a combination of the both along.
    You can create a standalone report program using the ABAP Editor (SE38). In the report program you can call the SAP Module pool program by CALL Screen <screen number>. And then in the module pool program you an create a subscreen and can handle the window popup with 2 radio button and an input field for getting the text.
    For help - Module Pool programs you can search in ABAP Editor with DEMODYNPRO* and you will ge the entire demo code for all dialog related code.
    For Report and other Module pool help you can have a look at the following:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/47/a1ff9b8d0c0986e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more details.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Disable an Input field with the help of a radio button selection.

    Hi Guys,
    I know it is a very basic question and also has many threads for the mentioned query. None of the threads gave me a real clue about the problem. It is as follows:
    Simply, I have an input field and there are two more radio buttons on the screen, say rd1, and rd2.
    Initially Rb_gtgr is active and input field is blank and disabled, and when i select Rb_selgr, input field should be active and mandatory. It means when i try to execute the code with out entering any value after it is enabled, an error message should appear. For this the code is as follows:
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
      PERFORM screen_grace_on.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON p_grace.
      PERFORM check_grace_days.
    FORM screen_grace_on .
      DATA: l_v_grace TYPE char2.
      CONSTANTS: l_c_grace TYPE char7 VALUE 'P_GRACE'.
    l_v_grace = p_grace.
    CLEAR p_grace.
      IF rb_selgr EQ c_x.
        LOOP AT SCREEN.
          IF screen-group1 = 'ABC'.
            screen-required = 1.
           screen-active = 1.
          ENDIF.
          MODIFY SCREEN.
        ENDLOOP.
      ELSE.
        LOOP AT SCREEN.
          IF screen-group1 = 'ABC'.
            screen-input = 0.
            screen-active = 1.
          ENDIF.
          MODIFY SCREEN.
        ENDLOOP.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.                    " SCREEN_GRACE_ON
    FORM check_grace_days.
      IF rb_selgr EQ c_x AND  p_grace EQ 0.
        PERFORM screen_grace_on.
        MESSAGE e492(/ams/ramfcmess1).          " Enter the number of Grace days
      ELSEIF rb_selgr EQ c_x AND p_grace GE 0.
        PERFORM screen_grace_on.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
    Ideally this code should work since in the PBO i.e., At selection screen output i am enabling the fields, and also when i select the second radio button i am also checking for the value too..
    I am working on 4.7 version of SAP. The Most interesting observation is it works fine for few variants, and not with others.
    Thank you

  • JS error while using input fields with type=file on XP SP2

    Hi all,
    we found a new problem in applications which use input fields with type=file running in a browser on Microsoft Windows XP with SP2.
    A typical test layout might look like:
    <html>
      <head>
        <title>File-Upload</title>
      </head>
      <body>
        <form action="/cgi-bin/upload.pl" method=post
              enctype="multipart/form-data">
          <input type=file size=50 maxlength=100000 name="file"
                 accept="text/*"><br>
          <button onclick="document.forms[0].submit();">Send</button>
        </form>
      </body>
    </html>
    When you add a link without the fully qualified path (for example pic01.jpg instead of c:\pictures\pic01.jpg) and click on the 'Send' button, nothing happens and you get a Javascript error 'Access denied'.
    The solution can be found in the MS Knowledge Base article 892442:

  • Issue with input field in table control

    Hi,
    I have an issue with field acgl_item-rstgr in the table control.
    I have created a screen program with a table control.
    In the control i have added a dictionary field as acgl_item-rstgr.
    When i execute, do f4 on the input field, select a value and press enter, then it is showing me
    error as 'Entry 'val' does not exist in T053R (check entry). Its really weird to understand this. I have selected the value
    from f4 and even then it says this. Its working for all other columns, but not working only for RSTGR.
    Plz help me on this regard.
    Code is like this.
    TYPES : BEGIN OF ty_rstgr,
              rstgr TYPE RSTGR,
             END OF ty_rstgr.
    TABLES : ACGL_ITEM.
    DATA : it_rstgr TYPE TABLE OF ty_rstgr.

    Hi Navitha,
    Its Check Table concepts for the error u stated. Please check wht the Search help ur using...Because for this field there is no search help at value table level...Use search help that hold all master data or create a custom search field in SE11 level or in program level.

  • Auto populate text fields with a trigger such as entering text into input fields in ADF

    Hello all,
    I am not able to auto populate text fields with a trigger such as entering text into input fields in ADF.
    I tried AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(val); in the back end using setter method of input text field.
    its not working ..
    is there any way to achieve it
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Always mention your JDev version.
    The valueChangeListener would fire only when you set the autoSubmit property of the field to true. Can you elaborate your requirement? What do you mean by related data? Are you performing some sort of search?
    If you want to get the value you entered on the field, just set autoSubmit to true and get the new value from the valueChangeListener. If your requirement is something like as and when you type, do something, you need to check out this approach :https://blogs.oracle.com/groundside/entry/auto_reduce_search_sample

  • How to link label with an input field in data table?

    I am curious if there is a nice way to link a label to input field in a data table directly in JSP? Data filling the table are dynamically bounded.
    Sample, simplified code below. Values of "label" property are unique in the collection binded to dataTable.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <jsp:root version="1.2" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
         xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
         xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page">
         <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="UTF-8" />
         <f:view>
              <html>
              <body>
              <h:dataTable value="#{screen$monitoring$errorlog$CorrectHopper.dataset}" var="DATA_ROW">
                   <h:column>
                        <f:facet name="header">
                             <h:outputText value="Name" />
                        </f:facet>
                        <h:outputLabel value="#{DATA_ROW.label}" for="#{DATA_ROW.label}_id" />
                   </h:column>
                   <h:column>
                        <f:facet name="header">
                             <h:outputText value="Value" />
                        </f:facet>
                        <h:inputText value="#{DATA_ROW.label}" id="#{DATA_ROW.label}_id" />
                   </h:column>
              </h:dataTable>
              </body>
              </html>
         </f:view>
    </jsp:root>
    returns:
    17:39:01,390 ERROR [[jsp]] Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: #{DATA_ROW.label}_id
    what is related to EL expression in h:inputText's "id" attribute.
    Is there any other way to bind label with dynamically created input field in JSP? Do I really have to bind input field directly to component objects with "binding" and set IDs manually with setId() (what is ugly solution because it moves View related logic to Model layer)?

    I've thought of using EL because I have to somehow
    link a label to an input field dynamically. Somehow? Dynamically? Just use plain text :)Well... just look at my code snippet (notice: we want to join the pairs of labels and text boxes placed in a datatable [or any other repeater-like component rendering properties of objects from a collection]):
    <h:dataTable value="#{screen$monitoring$errorlog$CorrectHopper.dataset}" var="DATA_ROW">
    <h:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Name" />
    </f:facet>
    <h:outputLabel value="#{DATA_ROW.label}" for="#{DATA_ROW.label}_id" />
    </h:column>
    <h:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Value" />
    </f:facet>
    <h:inputText value="#{DATA_ROW.label}" id="#{DATA_ROW.label}_id" />
    </h:column>
    </h:dataTable>
    and what is your idea of using plain text as "id" attribute value in this case? :)
    Regards,
    Michal

  • How do you wrap the text on an input field with type="button"

    I want to put 2 lines of text on an input field.
    The button size is fixed at 75 and if there is more than 10 characters it truncates the text.
    The input field is defined as :

    Dug up the code I used to do this a while back:
    //The style sheet
      <style type="text/css">
        .buttonUp {
          border-style:outset;
          border-width:2px;
          width:3em;
          float:left;
          padding:2px;
          background-color:#ccc;
          text-align:center;
        .buttonDown {
          border-style:inset;
          border-width:2px;
          width:3em;
          float:left;
          padding:2px;
          background-color:#ccc;
          text-align:center;
    </style>
    //... Example buttons
      <div class="buttonUp" onmousedown="this.className='buttonDown';"
                            onmouseup="this.className='buttonUp';"
                            onclick="alert('Clicked on Small One');">He</div>
      <div class="buttonUp" onmousedown="this.className='buttonDown';"
                            onmouseup="this.className='buttonUp';">Hello</div>
      <div class="buttonUp" onmousedown="this.className='buttonDown';"
                            onmouseup="this.className='buttonUp';">Hello World</div>
      <div class="buttonUp" onmousedown="this.className='buttonDown';"
                            onmouseup="this.className='buttonUp';">Hello<br/>World</div>
      <div class="buttonUp" style="width:5em;" onmousedown="this.className='buttonDown';"
                            onmouseup="this.className='buttonUp';">Hello World</div>You could put any javascript you want on the onclick event, so you would call the javascript you previously used to submit the form and set the input name. In this example I had all the buttons be a fixed width, if you leave out the width in the style sheet then the block will snap to fill the same width as the text inside it, much like normal buttons do. The difference is, with a fixed width then text wrapping occurs automatically (like in the 3rd button) while without a defined width the div will only display a second line when the line break is added. Note the the fixed width can be over-ruled by an inline style if needed (last sample).
    The website I pointed to before has a simpler solution (less javascript events needed). An implementation for his approach would be:
    //The style sheet
      <style type="text/css">
        .button {
          border-style:outset;
          border-width:2px;
          color:#000;
          float:left;
          padding:2px;
          background-color:#ccc;
          text-align:center;
          text-decoration:none;
          display:block;
        .button:active {
          border-style:inset;
          border-width:2px;
          color:#000;
          float:left;
          padding:2px;
          background-color:#ccc;
          text-align:center;
          text-decoration:none;
          display:block;
      </style>
    //... Example buttons
      <a class="button" href="#" onclick="this.blur();alert('Now you clicked linkey');return false;">Hello<br/>World</a>Same deal here with the fixed-width vs.fit-to-content. I add the 'return false;' to the list of the onclick commands so IE doesn't make the 'link clicked' noise and the URL doesn't go to thispage.html#.
    All these buttons work in FireFox 2, IE 7, and Safari 3 if they are running in STRICT mode. The button colors and borders don't precisely match FF and IE buttons, but they are close (although they aren't close at all to Safari buttons).

  • Add input field with date salector inside a TableView

    I’m trying to build an user interface for my ones step-screen flow command, this user interface needs a TableView and for each row i need an input field with date selector.
    I’ve been trying to use de DefaultTableViewModel as the model for my TableView. I create a method to build my vector with the data for my DefaultTableViewModel as follow.
         private Vector createData() {
              Vector dataVec = new Vector();
              Vector retVector= new Vector();
              TextView text1 = new TextView("text1");
              dataVec.addElement(text1);
              TextView text2 = new TextView("text2");
              dataVec.addElement(text2);
              InputField date1 = new InputField("date1");
              date1.setType(DataType.DATE);
              dataVec.add(date1);
              retVector.add(dataVec);
              return retVector;
    then i use the vector as follow:
    Vector data=createData();
              Vector colName = new Vector();
              colName.addElement("Col1");
              colName.addElement("Col2");
              DefaultTableViewModel model = new DefaultTableViewModel(data, colName);
              TableView tabla = new TableView("tabla", model);
    But when I Display my user interface the TableView shows a string that I thing is a reference of the Input and the TextView inside my TableView instead of showing the components.
    Any Ideas?

  • Create SAP B1 Query with Optional User Input Fields

    Hi All... any help is greatly appreciated, I am new to this forum and hope to contribute in the near future once I become more of an expert with B1.
    I have a query I need to build that will search about 10 UDF's. The problem is, I don't know how to make the user input fields optional within the query. Currently, I have the following queries as testing searching 2 UDF"s:
    SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[ItemName], T0.[OnHand] FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.[U_Quality] = [%0] OR T0.[U_LengthFT] =[%1]
    This query works when leaving one of the user input fields blank. However, the values it provides are wrong because it is an OR statement which will show item codes with a certain quality OR a certain size.
    The following query is the same as above but switched the OR to AND:
    SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[ItemName], T0.[OnHand] FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.[U_Quality] = [%0] AND T0.[U_LengthFT] =[%1]
    This query provides me with the correct values but will not work if one of the user defined fields is not filled out.
    How do I go about getting the results I want and not having the user fill out all the UDF's for the query to execute properly?

    I think I figured it out
    SELECT T0.ItemCode, T0.ItemName, T0.OnHand
    FROM OITM T0
    WHERE (T0.U_Quality = '[%0]' OR '[$0]' = '0') AND (T0.U_LengthFT ='[%1]' OR '[%1]' = '0')
    SAP must be defaulting empty user input field values to "0"
    I tried the above query and it worked!!!
    Is there anything you can add if I am missing something?
    Thanks, Alec.

  • Validating Input fields in Interactive Adobe Forms with Webdynpro ABAP

    Am new to Interactive Adobe forms with Webdynpro Abap,
    My scenario is, I have few Input fields, i need to handle the Messages when am not entering values in any of the Input Field,
    and raise the message when i click on Save Button.
    I have tried with setting the field as Required in Form itself, but i can't set the Field as Mandatory.
    I don't know how to do, Please give some needed points, as well needed some Script/Formcalc code.
    Thanks,
    Pradeep.

    Hi Pradeep,
    You can validate the fields by using javascript/formcalc logic in onclick event of button.
