Input items on a dynamic page

I think there must be a simple way to do this but I cant seem to find how. So any help would be most appreciated.
I have created a dynamic page which contained a html <FORM>. I have created a function that is called by the onsubmit method that I then want perform an update statement setting the value of a column to the value contained in a textbox input. I do not know how to reference this within the oracle tags, or if I have to use some form of function to obtain the value?
Can some one please point me in the right direction if I had basic example below:
<Form name=dataform >
<input name=txt1 type=textbox value=10>
<input type=submit>
</Form>
<oracle>
begin
update testable set COLa = ‘txt1.value’
end;
</oracle>
I know this may seem like I simple question but I am stumped.
Thanks for any help,
Craig

sorry I think this should have been posted in "portal applications" I have reposted it there.

  • Issues in creating new LOV input Item in a standard page

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a new LOV item in a page. I'm using the personalizations as said in the jdev guide. But, I want to use a custom VO and RN.
    I created a new VO and used that to create an LovRN. But, when i call it in the ExternalLOV property and run the page, the LOV is giving an error saying that the VO is not in the LOV AM.
    I tried to extend the AM and then attach this VO to the custom extended AM. I'm running into errors and also found that the AM is rootAM for the page and so I removed the extension.
    Please help me out in solving the issue.

    Bharath P ,
    This is a limitation in framrework that u cannot extend the root AM which has LOV on the page. The work around is to make a nested AM. Attach a new AM at any region under pagelayout region, it would automatically become nested AM of the root AM.

  • Apex Page Input Item Label Conditional Style at run time

    Hi,
    Apex version 4.2.1.00.08
    We have an issue after migrating to apex 4.2.1. We have a select list and use another couple of dummy items to be used as its label instead of giving the text value to the LABEL control. Only one of the dummy items is shown as a label for the select list conditionally based on another value. It was working fine with the earlier versions upto 4.1, but with the introduction of grid in 4.2, its now displaying the select list on a new row (ie the lable in one row and the select list on the next row).
    However, we really would like to solve this by having a way to display the label of the select list either in "required format style" or as an "optional style". The display style should be determined only at runtime.
    Example. Say P100_MY_SELECT_LIST is the select list
    The label for this item is "My Select List Label"
    I have another dummy item P100_DUMMY
    if P100_dummy = 1 then the label "My Select List Label" should be displayed in red and with an * *My Select List LabelOtherwise it should be in black and without * My Select List LabelPlease help how to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Well, I deviated with the various other things, and finally needed to get it fixed now. I find my own solution by having a Label Template which creates an ID for every label of the input item and calling a couple of javascript functions thro dynamic action.
    1) Create a label template "FormFieldDynamic" as follows
    In the template definition "Before Label"
    <img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#requiredicon_status2.gif" alt="Required Field Icon" /><label for="#CURRENT_ITEM_NAME#" id="#CURRENT_ITEM_NAME#_LABEL" tabindex="999" class="itemLabel">in the "after label"
    </label>Note, I am having the image for the * always with the laebl and creating an ID for the label with id="#CURRENT_ITEM_NAME#_LABEL" .
    I have created a couple of javascript function to show the label dynamically as required or optional.
    function setLabelRqd(item) {
         var v = item+'_LABEL';
         var pid = document.getElementById(v);
         if (!((pid===null)||(pid===undefined))){
              pid.style.color = "red";
              $('#'+v).prev().show();
    function setLabelOpt(item) {
         var v = item+'_LABEL';
         var pid = document.getElementById(v);
         if (!((pid===null)||(pid===undefined))){
              pid.style.color = "black";
              $('#'+v).prev().hide();
    }Use the template if the input item (label) is dynamically set as Required or Optional at runtime based on a value of another item.
    How to:
    1.     Select the template FormFieldDynamic for the input item.
    2.    Create a dynamic action triggering on the change event of the page item which holds the conditional value to set the input item label as required or as optional.
    Under the When Section
    a.     Event => Change
    b.    Selection Type => Item(s)
    c.     Item(s) => PXXX_ITEM_NAME (The item that holds the conditional value to set the label for the input item
    d.    Condition => equal to
    e.     Value => Enter the value  for which the label needs to be displayed in Required format.
    f.     Set True Action
                                                              i.    Action => Execute Javascript Code  (Identification)
                                                             ii.    Fire on Page Load => checked (Execution Option)
                                                           iii.    Code => setLabelRqd(‘PXXX_ITEM_NAME’);  (Settings)  /*Call the javascript function to set the label as required*/
                                                            iv.    Selection Type => Item(s) (Affected Elements)
                                                             v.    Item(s) => PXXX_INPUT_ITEM1[,PXXX_INPUT_ITEM2]…
    g.     Set False Action
                                                              i.    Action => Execute Javascript Code  (Identification)
                                                             ii.    Fire on Page Load => checked (Execution Option)
                                                           iii.    Code => setLabelOpt(‘PXXX_ITEM_NAME’);  (Settings) /*Call the javascript function to set the label as optional*/
                                                            iv.    Selection Type => Item(s) (Affected Elements)
                                                             v.    Item(s) => PXXX_INPUT_ITEM1[,PXXX_INPUT_ITEM2]…It finally works for me :) and hope this will be helpful to others too. I will greatly appreciate anyone to mention it here if this helps for him.
    Thanks,

  • Read parameters in a dynamic page portlet?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to read input parameters in a dynamic page portlet?
    Am I missing something if I want to read the input_parameter?
    <oracle>
    ftp.p(:input_paramter)
    </oracle>
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    It is not possible to read the input parameters in the <oracle> tag. You can read it in the additional plsql code. If you have
    to access the parameter deptno then do this in the additional plsql code section.
    for i in 1..p_arg_names.count loop
    if p_arg_names(i) = 'deptno' then
    htp.p(p_arg_names(i));
    end if;
    end loop;

  • Dynamic Page truncating html form text item

    I have created a dynamic page that displays the system date on a form. When the
    page displays, the date truncates after the space or comma. ie.
    instead of displaying "Monday, December 30" it displays "Monday". If i remove
    the comma or spaces from the format, it will display ok. Is there some type of
    URL encoding I need to to.
    <FORM action="stars3.star_portal.process_student_att" method="post">
    <TABLE border="0" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=2>
    <TR BGCOLOR="#000063">
    <ORACLE>
    BEGIN
    htp.p('<TD ALIGN="CENTER"><FONT COLOR="WHITE">' );
    htp.p('<input type="text" name="T1" size="30" value=' ||
    to_char(sysdate,'Day, Month DD') || '>' || '</FONT></TD>');
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    </TR>
    </TABLE>
    </FORM>

    Hi,
    Yes, it is an encoding problem. You can make use of htp.formText to overcome this. The spaces and commas are interpreted properly with formText.
    Here is an example.
    <ORACLE>
    declare
    l_date varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
    select to_char(sysdate,'Month, Day, DD') dt
    into l_date
    from dual;
    htp.p(l_date);
    htp.p('<TD ALIGN="CENTER"><FONT COLOR="WHITE">' );
    htp.formText(cname => 'T1',
    cvalue => l_date,
    csize => 30,
    cmaxlength => 30);
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    Thanks,

  • How to create a dynamic page from a parameter table at runtime?

    I have a table which has the information of item names,types,default values of an input form. Is it possible to create a dynamic page at runtime from these parameters? I saw htmldb_item but what i need is something like attaching athis input form to a dynamic sql with htmldb_item.
    Thank you

    Oracle supports feedback form metalink was; "What you exactly want to approach is not possible in Htmldb"
    I can guess that it is not
    exactly possible since I looked at the forums and documantation etc. but
    couldnt find anything similar than this link; "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/tabular_form.h
    t". But this is a very common need and I thought that there must be at least a workaround?
    How can I talk or write to Html Db development team about this since any ideas, this is very important item in a critial project?
    I will be able to satisfy the need in a functional way if I could make the
    select lists in the tabular form dynamic with the noz_id;
    SELECT vozellik "Özellik",
    htmldb_item.select_list_from_query(2, t2.nozellik_deger, 'select vdeger
    a,vdeger b from tozellik_deger where noz_id = 10') "Select List",
    htmldb_item.text(3, NULL, t2.vcihaz_oz_deger) "Free Text"
    FROM vcihaz_grup_ozellik t1, tcihaz_oz t2
    WHERE t1.noz_id = t2.noz_id
    AND t2.ncihaz_id = 191
    AND t1.ngrup_id = 5
    But what I exactly need i something like this dynamic query;
    SELECT
    vozellik "Özellik",
    CASE
    WHEN (t2.nozellik_deger IS NULL AND t2.vcihaz_oz_deger IS NOT NULL) THEN
    'HTMLDB_ITEM.freetext(' || rownum || ', NULL) ' || vozellik
    WHEN (t2.nozellik_deger IS NOT NULL AND t2.vcihaz_oz_deger IS NULL) THEN
    'HTMLDB_ITEM.select_list_from_query(' || rownum ||
    ', NULL, ''select vdeger a,vdeger b from tozellik_deger where noz_id = ' ||
    t1.noz_id || ''' ) ' || vozellik
    END AS "Değer"
    FROM vcihaz_grup_ozellik t1, tcihaz_oz t2
    WHERE t1.noz_id = t2.noz_id
    AND t2.ncihaz_id = 191
    AND t1.ngrup_id = 5
    Thank you very much,
    Best regards.

  • Dynamic Page that uses javascript to run an executable on the client's pc

    I have an .exe file on a shared network that has to be called and executed from portal. The below code works as standalone but not from a dynamic page or an HTML portlet. Any ideas?
    <html>
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    function runApp()
    var shell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.shell");
    shell.run('"c:/CstatsWeeklyreport.exe"',1,true);
    </script>
    <body>
    <input type="button" name="button1" value="Run Notepad" onClick="runApp()" >
    </INPUT>
    </body>
    </html>

    Thanks D, but that's not what I'm looking for. That changes which application a file opens with when you download it. That's not what I need for this situation. Here's a little more detail.
    The clients will have an application on their hard drive; it can be any application, even a custom application that they developed themselves. Then, they open a web page with a listbox full of items. Depending on which item they select, a query will return a file path to the .exe file itself. The .exe file resides on the client's hard drive, not on the server. So they're not downloading anything. Depending on the filepath returned by the query, the browser needs to start the process and open the .exe file for them.
    So let's say I have developed a simple text editor called Tedit. I have a file on my hard drive - "C:\TextEditor\bin\debug\TEdit.exe". When they click the open button, that file path is returned from the database. Then the javascript is called to start the process and open that program.
    Again, nothing is getting downloaded, the application resides on the user's hard drive and there is no file to associate it with.
    This can be done in IE using an ActiveX control. And it used to be possible in Firefox using the nsIFile or nsIProcess objects. But since FF15 that's not available anymore, so the javascript throws an error telling them that their permission is denied.
    What I need, is a javascript that will launch the .exe file from the user's hard drive without downloading anything.

  • Passing multipe vairable to a Dynamic Page

    Hi
    I creating a dynamic page that will display a list of values based on what the user input into the parameters. It works find as long as they only input a single value in (ex. Create User) but when attempting to input multiple values (ex. Create User, Delete User) no information is brought back. Is there a way that I can fix this so that the user can input multiple values? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
    select i.folder_id pageid
    ,i.display_name title
    from items i
    ,item_types ity
    where i.caid = :p_sitecode
    and i.subtype = ity.id
    and i.display_name in (:p_formname)

    Hi,
    A quick and dirty method is to create separate form objects for each selection, i.e. :p_formname1, :p_formname2. Then your query would be something like display_name in (:p_formname1,:p_formname2). Otherwise you may need to parse your :p_forename into multiple name value pairs.

  • In a dynamic page how to share variable between PL/SQL and javascript

    For example, my dynamic page contains such PL/SQL codes:
    <ORACLE>
    DECLARE
    info varchar(100);
    rowid urowid;
    procedure doDelete(
    row_id in urowid
    ) IS
    begin
    Delete From xxx
    WHERE rowid = row_id;
    end doDelete;
    BEGIN
    Select name, rowid INTO info, rowid
    From xxx Where xxx;
    HTP.PRN(' <INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="show value" onClick="alert(info);">');
    HTP.PRN(' <INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="delete" onClick="doDelete(_row_id);">');
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    The variable 'info' and '_row_id' are correct, however the two HTP. sentence do not work. What's the problem?
    What I want to do is to show all the records in TABLE A in a page. And at the end of each line (record), there' re a 'delete' and a 'update' button to let user operate on this record. Is this possible? I know form can do delete an update, but it can not show all the records in a page like what report does. Besides dynamic page, is there any other better choice? Report can do it?
    One more question. In a report, I employed link on one field to a second report. It works well. But I want to open the second report in a new window when the link is click. Is this possible?
    I was almost driven crazy by these :( I so appreciate if anyone can help.

    The code written by you is insufficient for the funtionality you are trying to achieve. Below is a method to achieve the same.
    Note: Used standard scott.emp table for the example which is located in my db provider schema.
    Do the below modifications as per your local configuration
    xxxxx -> Replace it with your Portal schema
    yyyyy -> Replace it with your db provider schema
    <<module_id_of_form>> -> Replace with the module id of form created in step 1 & 2.
    First and foremost... oracle does not allows variables starting with '_'. So if you want to use it you have to place it in double quotes ("")
    rowid -> illegal
    "_row_id" -> legal.
    However, I will advice you not to use variable names starting with "_".
    Now lets get started...
    1. Create a form on the table you are using in the dynamic page. Just have the update button. Remove the other buttons.
    2. Get the module id of this form. Instruction for getting the module id:
    a) Right-click on the form's run link and copy the shortcut
    b) Get the value of p_moduleid parameter. This is your module id.
    3. Create a procedure "save_action_details" in your db provider schema. This procedure will accomplish the delete operation on the record.
         CREATE OR REPLACE Procedure save_action_details(
         p_rowid IN VARCHAR2,
         p_action IN VARCHAR2,
         p_dyn_ref_path IN VARCHAR2,
         p_dyn_page_url IN VARCHAR2)
         is
         l_sto_session xxxxx.wwsto_api_session;
         begin
         l_sto_session := xxxxx.wwsto_api_session.load_session(
         p_domain => 'DynStore',
         p_sub_domain => 'DynStore_' || p_dyn_ref_path
         l_sto_session.set_attribute(
         p_name => 'rowid',
         p_value => p_rowid
         l_sto_session.set_attribute(
         p_name => 'action',
         p_value => p_action
         l_sto_session.save_session;
         htp.init;
         owa_util.redirect_url(p_dyn_page_url);
         end save_action_details;
    Explaination: The above procedure creates a session and keeps the rowid and action in the session. This information is used by the below dynamic form to perform the necessary action. In our exampl, the action is always going to be delete so you may go ahead and hard code it, else leave it as it is.
    4. Grant execute privilege on the procedure "save_action_details" to public.
    sql> grant execute on save_action_details to public;
    5. Create your Dynamic page.
    a) In HTML code section have the below code. This code shows some columns from the table and "update" and "delete" buttons to perform the respective action.
         <ORACLE>select empno,ename,rowid,
         '<input type="button" value="Update" onClick="doAction(this.form,''UPD'',''xxx'','''
         || xxxxx.wwv_standard_util.url_encode(rowid) || '''); tWin();">
         <input type="button" value="delete" onclick="doAction(this.form,''DEL'',''' || rowid || ''',''xxx'');">' Action
         from yyyyy.emp</ORACLE>
    b) In additional pl/sql code section of dynamic page, have the below pl/sql block "in after displaying the header" section.
         declare
         l_sto_session xxxxx.wwsto_api_session;
         l_del_rowid varchar2(20);
         l_action varchar2(10);
         begin
         htp.comment('User code starts here ...');
         htp.p('<script>');
         htp.p('var winHandle;');
         htp.p('
         function doAction(formObj, action, rowid, erowid)
              if (action == "UPD")
              var formURL = "' || xxxxx.wwctx_api.get_proc_path('wwa_app_module.link?p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=<<module_id_of_form>>&p_arg_names=_rowid&p_arg_values=') || '" + erowid;
              winHandle = window.open(formURL, "winDynUpd", "width=750,height=500,resizable=yes");
              else
              formObj.p_rowid.value = rowid;
              formObj.p_action.value = action;
              formObj.submit();
         function tWin() {
              if (winHandle.closed) {
              document.location = document.location;
              else {
              setTimeout("tWin()", 500);
         htp.p('</script>');
         htp.p('<form name="dynRowProcess" method="POST" action="'
         || xxxxx.wwctx_api.get_proc_path('save_action_details','yyyyy')
         || '">');
         htp.p('<input type="hidden" name="p_rowid">');
         htp.p('<input type="hidden" name="p_action">');
         htp.p('<input type="hidden" name="p_dyn_ref_path" value="' || p_reference_path || '">');
         htp.p('<input type="hidden" name="p_dyn_page_url" value="' || p_page_url || '">');
         l_sto_session := xxxxx.wwsto_api_session.load_session(
         p_domain => 'DynStore',
         p_sub_domain => 'DynStore_' || p_reference_path
         l_del_rowid := l_sto_session.get_attribute_as_varchar2('rowid');
         l_action := l_sto_session.get_attribute_as_varchar2('action');
         if l_action = 'DEL' then
         delete from yyyyy.emp
         where rowid = l_del_rowid;
         end if;
         end;
    Explaination: The session information (rowid and action) stored by "save_action_details" procedure is retrieved by the dynamic page and is used to delete the record.
    6. Once you are through with the above steps, test it by placing the above "dynamic page" portlet on a page.
    a) When you click on delete button the record gets deleted and the automatically refreshed page will not show the deleted record.
    b) On clicking update button, a form will appear. do the necessary modifications in data and click update. the data in the form gets updated. Once you close the form the dynamic page gets refreshed automatically and it will show you the updated information.

  • How to create a form based on table using dynamic page?

    Hi,
    I need to create a form using dynamic page. How do you pass values from the html form to a oracle procedure that will get executed on submission of the form ? I could not find any documents which shows how to do that. Can anyone please help me out with an example ?
    thanks,
    Mainak

    Hi,
    Something seems to get added to the form action because of "http". Hence I am removing it.
    You need to write a procedure with the values in the as parameters. Say for example you want to insert a record into dept
    table then
    Dynamic page code
    <html>
    <body>
    <form action="portalschema.insert_dept">
    <input type="text" name="p_deptno">
    <input type="text" name="p_dname">
    <input type="submit" name="p_action" value="save">
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    Procedure code.
    create or replace procedure insert_dept
    (p_deptno in number,
    p_dname in varchar2,
    p_action in varchar2)
    is begin
    if p_action = 'save' then
    insert into scott.dept(deptno,dname) values(p_deptno,p_dname);
    commit;
    end if;
    end;
    grant execute on insert_dept to public;
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get form fields in a dynamic page as a portlet

    I have a dynamic page(publish as portlet and added to a portal page) with a html form that has many radio button created dynamically (query a table and create as many radio button as records I found) and the name of each radio button is the id of the record from the table it represents.
    When I click the submit button of my form it will recall the same portal page and then I have to check which radio buttons where selected to update the database depending on it.
    The problem is that I can't get the radio buttons inside the dynamic page because they are created dynamically so I can't make them portlet parameters to be associated with page parameters.
    So How can I tell which radio buttons have been selected?
    Please help me.

    Hi,
    Write a procedure which will be called as the form action. This procedure should take an array of parameters like p_arg_names and p_arg_values. For example
    <html>
    <form>
    <input type="checkbox" name="p_radio">
    <input type="checkbox" name="p_radio">
    </form>
    procedure submit_form(p_radio in wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr)
    begin
    for i in 1..p_radio.count
    loop
    htp.p(p_radio(i));
    end loop;
    wwv_redirect.url(<page_url>);
    end;
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,

    Bob,
    You have variables in your procedure like l_status, p_alternate_status which you do not have in the form. Are these IN or OUT variables ?
    If these are IN variables, this proc will not work because you do not have any variable in the form. So from where does it get the values? There is not any default declared too. You have to explicitly define IN or OUT variables.
    Have you also given execute permission to public ?

  • Line items are printing different page

    hi all,
    I neet to print line items in the same page.
    but when i execute my pogram it is giving 6 pages with one line item each page.
    how can we print 6 line items in same page if there is no space it must print in second page.
    Kind Regards,
    Kiran.

    Hi,
    You can specify, either in the style or in the form, that a particular paragraph should not be split in two by a page break. If this page protect attribute is set, then the complete paragraph is always printed on one page. This property applies only to that particular paragraph.
    This attribute is not intended to be used to protect all paragraphs against a page break. The point is that a page break is by its very nature a dynamic event and the exact point at which it occurs depends on the current state (length and contents) of the preceding text. It is also possible that you may want to protect only certain parts of a paragraph against a page break. One way to achieve this is to use the NEW-PAGE command immediately before the text concerned starts. Explicitly beginning a new page at this point should ensure that a further page break does not occur within the text. However, this technique is not change-friendly. For example, you format your text with the help of the NEW-PAGE command so that no page breaks occur where they should not. At a later time, you insert or delete some lines. These changes cause all the subsequent text to be moved relative to the printed page, and you must check each NEW-PAGE command you previously inserted to see if it is still in the correct place.
    To allow you to define the areas to be protected against a page break on an individual basis, SAPscript provides the PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT command pair. If you enclose the text to be protected in these commands, then SAPscript will ensure that each line of this text is printed together on the same page. If the complete text fits in the space remaining on the current page, then it is printed on this page just as it would be if no PROTECT command had been used. If, however, the remaining space is not sufficient for the text, then the PROTECT command has the same effect as a NEW-PAGE command and text is printed on a new page.
    Thus the PROTECT/ENDPROTECT commands may be regarded as a kind of conditional NEW-PAGE command, the condition being whether or not the lines enclosed between the two commands fit in the space remaining in the current main window.
    Syntax:
    /: PROTECT
    /: ENDPROTECT
    The text lines to be protected are enclosed between the two commands.
    An ENDPROTECT command without a preceding PROTECT command has no effect.
    If the terminating ENDPROTECT is missing, SAPscript assumes it at the end of the text.
    PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT command pairs cannot be nested. If a second PROTECT command occurs before the first one has been terminated by an ENDPROTECT, it is ignored.
    If the text enclosed by a PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT pair is itself too long for a single page, then a page break is generated immediately before the text and the text is printed in the normal way. It is then unavoidable that a page break will occur at some point within the text.
    Thnks and reward me with pts if useful.

  • How to retrieve and then update a field in a dynamic page?

    I use the dynamic page to retrieve a text field from db table, now I want to update it and save back into the database. The first part(retrieve and display) works fine. But when I put update the table codes inside another oracle tag,it gives me a page not found error. Can you operate on the same database field more than once in a dynamic page?

    The purpose is to automatically calculate the transport freight  as a percentage of the net amount of the sales order. We are able to retrieve this field even if the sales order has not been posted yet with this formatted search:
    Select $[$22.0.0]
    Our doubt is that this field is affected also by the item of the expenses that we are going to calculate, this is the reason why we are trying to calculate the line total of each row and in the formatted search exclude the item that have a certain code (i.e. transport freight), in this way we are sure that we are calculating the percentage of  the net amount of the goods without the freight.
    Thank you for the support.

  • HTML POST method in a dynamic page

    Greetings Portalists,
    I have a basic question here. I need to pass the values of an html form (constructed within a dynamic page) to a procedure to process the users' inputs. The form is highly dynamic in terms of numbers of parameters, but we're talking about upwards of 200 text fields that require passing. Now, I realise that this in itself isn't a problem, and I've set this up without too much difficulty using method="POST" - but the called procedure in the form's action=... attribute seems to need to be publicly-executable for this scenario to work. For a production environment, I don't want to keep the PUBLIC grant on the procedure, but whenever I revoke it, the Portal throws me back a 404 Not Found when I submit the form.
    So my question is this -- how can I tighten the security around executing the procedure? Are there any best practices for this sort of situation (which I can't imagine are all that rare)?
    I've searched through many various web toolkit and Portal documents looking for an answer to this but to no avail, so any suggestions really would be highly appreciated.
    Many thanks.

    Granting execute to public make a procedure accessible to portal_public (the schema) which contains the mappings to all the authenticated light-weight users. You can keep the public or portal_public grant for execution on the procedure and yet have a good control on who would be able to see your form. That would be based on your pl/sql logic.
    For instance, if you wish to keep it for only authenticated users (users who are in registered with your portal) or with any certain group of users, you can always apply a block containing code for checking their group memberships. If a user belongs to your desired group, you can let the desired logic expose to them, otherwise not.
    Please check the portal pl/sql api's that come with portal version you are using, for help.
