Inputting and XREF'ing Data

Hi All,
I have a little conundrum here, looking for some direction. I think I posted on this earlier but here goes again.
I have a salary account that is calculated in Workforce. I have another plan type, IndirectOH, that has an XREF on the salary member from Workforcce. Workforce feeds IndirectOH for Plan and Forecast Scenarios. However, I need to load Actual Scenario to the salary member in Indirect.
I can't put an HSP_NOLINK on the account because I need to XREF it. I need it to be store so that I can input to Actuals, but since it has a source plan type of PlanWF then EPMA automatically puts an XREF and Dynamic Calc on the member in Indirect in essbase.
How can I have the account Store Data with an XREF and source plan type of PlanWF. I tried HSP_UDF but that does not protect the data storage properties assigned in essbase, it only protects the member formula.

Hi DQ,
Well I have not worked in 11.1 so I am answering on the basis of 9.3. I don't think you can have it both ways. I would suggest you create a separate member for Actual to load data. Is there any specific reason why you want to use the same member for Actual as well. Can you try modifying the member formula, so in case it allows that (I haven't tried myself so am not sure) then may be you use the member formula to show the Actual data from the member you create as store (in case you want to report data on the same member for Actual).

I am trying to create a FM like RFC_READ_TABLE. In this table we put table name and the field name for which we write a query and option for query we get the out put only for that field in this case.
My requirement is very similar to this. But here i want to enter any table name and in option i want to write dynamic sql query for any filed of table then i want data based on this so that it will display the entire table entries.

I tried to make sample using that link you provide to me. How can i declare Global Interface in FM and in import parameter references like "REFERENCE(I_INTERFACE_CHECK) DEFAULT SPACE".
Also it uses a function-pool.
Let me tell you about my exact requirement about FM.
I want in import parameter input as any SAP Table name like
TABNAME TYPE EKKO
OPTIONS TYPE CHAR80
I want my output to be stored in TABLES attributes as per the table name entered in import parameter. In import parameter Table name can be any one of SAP tables and Option based on that particular table. Like if i go with table EKKO and put OPTIONS as
ebelp = 4 then TABLES attributes Tab contains all the relevant data for input.
Is there any way with the help of that i can put my data into internal tables. I tried to put in TABLES as VALUE LIKE ANY but it shows that generic are not allowed. Can you provide some sample on this.
I also getting exceptions like CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS, SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME.

You mean to say, you need to use inputs from Data manager Prompts in your Script Logic.
From Help File
You can use the EvDTSModifyPkg task to dynamically pass a text string to logic in Data Manager. For example, a user who wishes to dynamically pass a text string representing a year (which is a portion of the *XDIM_MEMBERSET instruction) could use the following steps:
Using the EvDTSModifyPkg task, prompt for the year, i.e., PROMPT(TEXT,%TEXT%,"select a year")
Pass the returned %TEXT% to the FormulaScript of the RunLogic task as follows: TASK(RUNLOGIC,FORMULASCRIPT,"*FUNCTION MYYEAR=%TEXT%u201D)
In the Data Manager logic, use the dynamically created function as follows: *XDIM_MEMBERSET TIME=MYYEAR.INPUT.
The logic name in the RunLogic task must be specified with the .LGF extension to enforce its validation at run time.

Is there any way to UPDATE the XML file attached to a Data Definition (XML Publisher > Data Definition) using a standard package or procedure call or may be an API from backend? I am creating an XML dynamically and I want to attach it to its Data Definition programmatically using SQL.
Please let me know if there is any oracle functionality to do this.
If not, please let me know the standard directories on application/database server where the XML files attached to Data Definitions are stored.
For eg, /$APPL_TOP/ar/1.0/sql or something.

How to temporally match/save Input and Output Channels's data?

Hello, I have a voltage-input, voltage-output SISO system, and need to indentify its dynamic response (or transfer function) as a reference to a PID control. Without using the system identification toolbox, my goal is to generate/provide a sine sweep input (ranging 1Hz-5kHz for 10sec) to the system and to save the corresponding output response signal as well as the sweep input signal simultaneously.
I got a sample program online and am trying to modify it as attached, but I really need your advices/comments concerning several problems I am facing with:
1) With the below setting, the number of the acquired Input channel samples obtained is 5461, which is smaller than expected (i.e., 10000). What would I be missing in setting parameters?
- H/W: NI-USB-6341 DAQ
- AO: continuous samples with the waveform timing (1k sampling, 10000 samples => 10 sec, slower sampling just for testing purpose)
- AI: continuous samples, samples to read: 30k, rate: 1k
2) I am using flat sequence structure as a way to making the start point of saving AI and AO data same, but wonders if this is a right method or if there is other better approaches. (I had an idea of using an internal clock with "1-sample mode" for sync, but this may not work at the high speed sine sweep like 5kHz, right?)
3) I just want to provide the sine sweep just once to the system and do not require the "reset" functionality implemented in the original sample program. I failed to remove this "reset" part as I did not fully understand the sample code. If I run the attahed, the generated AO signal is periodically provided to the system. Please give me any advice to modify the program as I want.

To begin, you say you want to synchronize your analog input and output so that they start at the exact same time, yes? To achieve tight synchronization, you need to use DAQmx VIs instead of the DAQ Assistant. There's a good overview of DAQmx VIs here. There's also a document that deals specifically with synchronization in DAQmx here. Additionally, if you go to Help>>Find Examples in the LabVIEW example finder, you can see many other examples of acquiring data using DAQmx.
As for your configuration, you have your analog input DAQ assistant wired far before your analog output DAQ assistant in your sequence strucutre, so the dataflow of the program will cause the analog input DAQ Assistant to execute before the output. They cannot be in different sequences if they are executing simoultaneously, and I would not use flat sequences here except to start the two tasks in DAQmx. Where did you find this example?

That is not true that this is the only way. The standard Data Dictory based search help can return more than one value as long as there are multiple exporting values defined in the search help, the search help is attached to a Data Dictionary Structure, and this same data dictionary structure is used as the source of the context node. You can read more about this in the online help:

If the context node is not mapped to the structure, the data element's input help can be used if there is one.

How to calculate and save planning data in bex input-ready query using keyfigures for calculation from different infoproviders

We have two real time infocubes and two aggregation levels based on these cubes in one multiprovider
first cube1 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_coefficient(single value for each combination of char1 and char2)
same aggregation level1
(we have input query to fill coefficients by one responsible user)
second cube2 is like
char1| char2| keyfig_quantity| keyfig_result
same aggregation level2
Input ready query should be like (for all other users of different org units)
char1|char2|keyfig_coeff| keyfig_quant(for input) | keyfig_result = keyfig_coeff*keyfig_quant(calculated value, should be saved to cube2)
And we don't have pregenerated lines in cube2, users have to add new lines themselves by wad.
Question is, what is the optimal (easiest) way to make calculation and save result data to cube2 where keyfigures for calculation should be used from different infoproviders. I need just a hint.

data types used in a sub VI - selecting the correct input and output types?
I can never work out how to choose an input or output format for Subvi's.
I want to create a SubVI for the code in red. I needs an VI Server Reference compatible input and an output that goes to a waveform.

I realise now I have taken us in the wrong direction. apologies for that.
History, this is not my code and I do not own the process and NOT my preferred method of using it. I was looking for a simple way to make subtle changes.
What we do - We use these programs to collect data from typically 6 pressures and 6 temperature probes and capture RS232 / USB VISA strings from sensors.
So every few weeks / months or up to a year we rearrange each sensor location to suit the new process. I did not write the code. I cannot change the procedure too much without resistance.
So headers in the CSV file have the DaqMX string passed through the code. Great.
Other data to the CSV file comes from calculations or extracted from the VISA string. Hence why we have headers with "Untitled 1 ()". These values also go to a History Chart.
So I was looking for a simple way to read the the local variable label as it is always linked to the front page indicator. People can cope with editing the indicator label, save the VI and hit run.
TL;DR - GerdW is now a psychologist.

Drag and Drop via Data Control doesn't seem to bind input parameter.

I've followed the 'how to drag and drop a webservice data control' excercise in my current application to bring back complex data on the basis of one parameter(appId). However, when running the application, the server logs indicate that 'The value of appId cannot be null'. I have definitely bound the appId to the requestIterator, and the button that calls the webservice has been bound accordingly too. The response tables have been bound to the responseIterator. The webservice definitely works, and brings back data as I've tested it with SoapUI for this appId.
Is there something I'm missing?
Any suggestions will be helpful.

According to your description, when you create a Data Source View in BIDS/SSDT, you can't see the tables in the pane. Right?
In this scenario, when creating data source, please make sure you select a correct data provider. For example, it you connect to SQL Server database, you should use
Native OLE DB\SQL Server Native Client. Then please test your connection to the data source.
If the tables still can't be displayed, please make sure you select proper database and the check tables existence in the database.
