Inputvalue bindind & disabled not working

Question

when i set property disabled to true in this input-text
<af:inputText label="#{bindings.FirstName.label}"
value="#{bindings.FirstName.inputValue}"
required="#{bindings.FirstName.mandatory}"
disabled="true">
<af:validator binding="#{bindings.FirstName.validator}"/>
</af:inputText>
(FirstName is String)
it is not working correct
but i delete inputValue and change value to value="#{bindings.FirstName}"
it is working correct
what is the matter?

i set property disable ="true" in jsf tag but it is not working it is not disablein the first line you say it is disabled, and in the next line you say its not disabled.
which one of the 2 statements above are correct, or else please rephrase the question
when you set disable=true, it means the field will be disabled(or read only), so from the first statement seems like disabled is working, though you next line turns the plate.
