Insert not working in php to mysql

Ive been trying to enter information into mysql for the longerst. My guess is the sql statement. But if anybody can find anything wrong please tell me
Heres my database
and heres my code
please help

Can you try this in your insert.php (its mysqli rather than mysql)
<?php
$NameofOrganization = $_GET['NameofOrganization'];
$Tickets = $_GET['Tickets'];
$OriginalPrice = $_GET['originalprice'];
$DiscountedPrice = $_GET['DiscountedPrice'];
$Date = $_GET['Date'];
$Time = $_GET['Time'];
$Email = $_GET['Email'];
$Description = $_GET['Description'];
$Event_name = $_GET['event_name'];
$con=mysqli_connect("localhost", "root" , "", "user_registration");
// Check connection
if (mysqli_connect_errno()) {
  echo "Failed to connect to MySQL: " . mysqli_connect_error();
mysqli_query($con,"INSERT INTO events (name_organization, event_name, number_of_tickets, orginal_price, discounted_price, date, time, email,description) VALUES('$NameofOrganization' , '$Event_name', '$Tickets', ' $OriginalPrice', '$DiscountedPrice', '$Date', '$Time', '$Email', '$Description' )");
?>
Below is the mysql version for insert.php:
<?php
$NameofOrganization = $_GET['NameofOrganization'];
$Tickets = $_GET['Tickets'];
$OriginalPrice = $_GET['originalprice'];
$DiscountedPrice = $_GET['DiscountedPrice'];
$Date = $_GET['Date'];
$Time = $_GET['Time'];
$Email = $_GET['Email'];
$Description = $_GET['Description'];
$Event_name = $_GET['event_name'];
?>
<?php
// Make a MySQL Connection
mysql_connect("localhost", "root", "") or die(mysql_error());
mysql_select_db("user_registration") or die(mysql_error());
// Insert a row of information into the table "events"
mysql_query("INSERT INTO events
(name_organization, event_name, number_of_tickets, orginal_price, discounted_price, date, time, email,description) VALUES('$NameofOrganization' , '$Event_name', '$Tickets', ' $OriginalPrice', '$DiscountedPrice', '$Date', '$Time', '$Email', '$Description') ")
or die(mysql_error());
?>

    My mail forms created by muse 2014.0.1.30 do not work. PHP 5.4 is enabled by my hoster, so they should work. Can anyone help me, for these forms are crucial for my business. The forms confirm delivery, but the mails are not recieved. No spam filters enabled.
    Meanwhile, I was able to narrow the problem down: PHP seems not to accept a re-directed mail address as sender of the mail in some cases. So, it has nothing to do with the mail form itself.

    Hi Ingo,
    Please refer to this document, Troubleshooting Muse Form Widgets Used on Third-Party Servers
    Last section, "I've uploaded my new Muse form, and tried submitting it in the browser, but I never receive an email with the form data. What's wrong?"

  • [SOLVED] SQLite not working with PHP

    For reasons unknown, I cannot get PHP to work properly with SQLite. I have uncommented the "extension=sqlite.so" in /etc/php/php.ini, ensured that PHP's configuration was being loaded from said file, and made sure PHP was working fine with my server of choice (lighttpd). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work, as evidenced by
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlite_open() in test.php on line x
    Which is what PHP spits at me. I've checked lighty's logs and nothing's wrong. PHP's set to send to syslog, so I'm not sure where I could check on that. Here is a quick look at PHP's setup.
    My /etc/php/php.ini:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
    ; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
    ; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
    ; The path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
    ; the -c argument in command line mode.
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes from
    ; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each one,
    ; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
    ; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the php.ini-dist
    ; file, included in your PHP distribution.
    ; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it features
    ; different values for several directives, in order to improve performance, while
    ; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box behavior of
    ; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts
    ; accordingly, if you decide to use this file instead.
    ; - register_long_arrays = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined array
    ; variables ($HTTP_*_VARS). Instead, use the superglobals that were
    ; introduced in PHP 4.1.0
    ; - display_errors = Off [Security]
    ; With this directive set to off, errors that occur during the execution of
    ; scripts will no longer be displayed as a part of the script output, and thus,
    ; will no longer be exposed to remote users. With some errors, the error message
    ; content may expose information about your script, web server, or database
    ; server that may be exploitable for hacking. Production sites should have this
    ; directive set to off.
    ; - log_errors = On [Security]
    ; This directive complements the above one. Any errors that occur during the
    ; execution of your script will be logged (typically, to your server's error log,
    ; but can be configured in several ways). Along with setting display_errors to off,
    ; this setup gives you the ability to fully understand what may have gone wrong,
    ; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
    ; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
    ; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically results in less
    ; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often lead to
    ; better performance. The gain this directive actually yields greatly depends
    ; on which Web server you're working with, and what kind of scripts you're using.
    ; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc global
    ; variables.
    ; - magic_quotes_gpc = Off [Performance]
    ; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent into
    ; SQL databases without further manipulation. Instead, you should use the
    ; database vendor specific escape string function on each input element you
    ; wish to send to a database.
    ; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
    ; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
    ; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
    ; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
    ; By default, PHP suppresses errors of type E_NOTICE. These error messages
    ; are emitted for non-critical errors, but that could be a symptom of a bigger
    ; problem. Most notably, this will cause error messages about the use
    ; of uninitialized variables to be displayed.
    ; - allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off [Code cleanliness]
    ; It's not possible to decide to force a variable to be passed by reference
    ; when calling a function. The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
    ; function require the relevant argument by reference.
    ; - short_open_tag = Off [Portability]
    ; Using short tags is discouraged when developing code meant for redistribution
    ; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.
    ; Language Options ;
    ; Enable the PHP scripting language engine under Apache.
    engine = On
    ; Enable compatibility mode with Zend Engine 1 (PHP 4.x)
    zend.ze1_compatibility_mode = Off
    ; Allow the <? tag. Otherwise, only <?php and <script> tags are recognized.
    ; NOTE: Using short tags should be avoided when developing applications or
    ; libraries that are meant for redistribution, or deployment on PHP
    ; servers which are not under your control, because short tags may not
    ; be supported on the target server. For portable, redistributable code,
    ; be sure not to use short tags.

    ; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
    ; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
    ; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
    ; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
    ; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
    ; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
    ; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).
    output_buffering = 4096
    ; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
    ; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character
    ; encoding will be transparently converted to the specified encoding.
    ; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
    ; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
    ; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
    ; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
    ; is doing.
    ; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
    ; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
    ; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!
    ; Instead you must use zlib.output_handler.
    ;output_handler =
    ; Transparent output compression using the zlib library
    ; Valid values for this option are 'off', 'on', or a specific buffer size
    ; to be used for compression (default is 4KB)
    ; Note: Resulting chunk size may vary due to nature of compression. PHP
    ; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
    ; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
    ; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.
    ; Note: You need to use zlib.output_handler instead of the standard
    ; output_handler, or otherwise the output will be corrupted.
    zlib.output_compression = Off
    ;zlib.output_compression_level = -1
    ; You cannot specify additional output handlers if zlib.output_compression
    ; is activated here. This setting does the same as output_handler but in
    ; a different order.
    ;zlib.output_handler =
    ; Implicit flush tells PHP to tell the output layer to flush itself
    ; automatically after every output block. This is equivalent to calling the
    ; PHP function flush() after each and every call to print() or echo() and each
    ; and every HTML block. Turning this option on has serious performance
    ; implications and is generally recommended for debugging purposes only.
    implicit_flush = Off

    After the last update which installed PHP 5.3.0, I'm having a similar problem. PHP fails to recognize any extensions which I've defined in php.ini. PHP itself works just fine, so I'm sure this problem is related to the update of PHP.
    Here's my php.ini:
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior.
E_ALL or M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites.
Instead, you should use the
    ; function addslashes() on each input element you wish to send to a database.
    ; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
    ; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
    ; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
    ; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
    ; By default, PHP suppresses errors of type E_NOTICE.
The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
    ; function require the relevant argument by reference.
    ; - short_open_tag = Off [Portability]
    ; Using short tags is discouraged when developing code meant for redistribution
    ; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.
    ; Language Options ;
    ; Enable the PHP scripting language engine under Apache.
    engine = On
    ; Enable compatibility mode with Zend Engine 1 (PHP 4.x)

    ; NOTE: Using short tags should be avoided when developing applications or
    ; libraries that are meant for redistribution, or deployment on PHP
    ; servers which are not under your control, because short tags may not
    ; be supported on the target server. For portable, redistributable code,

    ; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
    ; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
    ; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
    ; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
    ; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
    ; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
    ; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).
    output_buffering = Off
    ; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
    ; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character
    ; encoding will be transparently converted to the specified encoding.
    ; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
    ; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
    ; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
    ; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
    ; is doing.
    ; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
    ; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
    ; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!

    ; to be used for compression (default is 4KB)
    ; Note: Resulting chunk size may vary due to nature of compression. PHP
    ; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
    ; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
    ; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.
    ; Note: You need to use zlib.output_handler instead of the standard

  • pcs:insert not working correctly in Content Server 6.0

    Hello,
    I'm having a difficult time getting the <pcs:insert> tag working in Content Server 6.0. In the previous version of Content Server, I used <pcs:insert expr="mycontentitem"></pcs:insert> and the content item that I want inserted shows up fine. Now when I try it in Content Server 6.0, the inserted (child) content item tries to reference the parent's content item variables, giving me nothing. Also, I have tried using <pcs:insert path="mycontentitem"> to the same result.
    Any help, or example of a working <pcs:insert> for Content Server 6.0 would be a lifesaver!
    Thank you,
    PK

    We have the same problem with "INSERT" tags not working in the newest version CS6.0. I am a bit surprised that anyone had replied to your post to give us some explanations or directions how to solve the problem. It looks as a serious problem to me.

  • French characters insertion not working fine

    Hi all,
    I'm using Oracle database 10.2.0.3, i migrate the database from 9i.
    My problem is in my new database version i mean 10g when i'm inserting french characters like "éèà" in my database it's not working fine, i check to my old database (9i) it's working and i compare the parameters (NLS parameters they are same). i cannot find where is the problem making this appear, if anybody can help me.
    here bellow that i did.
    SQL> insert into dept values(0,'échec','éèàù');
    1 ligne crÚÚe.
    SQL> commit;
    And from query i got:
    SQL> select * from dept where deptno=0;
    DEPTNO DNAME LOC
    0 ┐chec ┐┐┐┐
    here are some parameters i check:
    SQL> sho parameter nls;
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    nls_calendar string
    nls_comp string
    nls_currency string
    nls_date_format string
    nls_date_language string
    nls_dual_currency string
    nls_iso_currency string
    nls_language string AMERICAN
    nls_length_semantics string BYTE
    nls_nchar_conv_excp string FALSE
    nls_numeric_characters string
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    nls_sort string
    nls_territory string AMERICA
    nls_time_format string
    nls_timestamp_format string
    nls_timestamp_tz_format string
    nls_time_tz_format string
    I need your help because it's very important for our database.
    regards
    raitsarevo

    I goth nothong, i think it's not yet set here bellow the result:
    oracle@ab-db1:/abdb_data2/expdp$ env|grep NLS
    oracle@ab-db1:/abdb_data2/expdp$
    to my old server (9i) here the result:

    ORA_NLS33=/home/oracle/product/9.2.0.4/ocommon/nls/admin/data
    [oracle@abillity3db oracle]$
    When i run the command env only i got for the new server HPux 10g:

  • How to load data to a "clustered table" quickly?  direct insert not work

    We have a single hash clustered table whose size is 45G, and we used the command:
    insert /*+ append */ into t_hashed as select * from source.
    the source is about 30G, it takes a very long time(several days, and not yet completed).
    I dumped the redo log, and find there are lots of redo info about the insert. I have thought it should create much redo as it is "direct path insert", but from the dump info I could say the direct path insert didn't take effect.

    Your assessment is correct. INSERT /*+ APPEND */ does not work with a hash clustered table.
    If you think about how hash clusters work, and how direct load insert works, it should be clear to you why a direct load insert via the append hint can never work.
    How hash clusters work (well, only the part that's relevant to the current discussion):
    Initially, at creation time, the storage for the entire cluster is preallocated, based on the various cluster parameters you chose. Think about that. All the storage is allocated to the cluster.
    How direct load works (well, only the part that's relevant to the current discussion):
    Space already allocated to and used by the segment is ignored. Space is taken from free, unformatted blocks from above the high water mark.
    So, hopefully it's clear how these features are incompatible.
    Bottom line:
    It doesn't work, there's no way around it, there's nothing you can do about it....

  • Insert not working in updatable report

    I have created an updatable report using the htmldb_item function with the facility to display an extra row (in order to create a new row).
    I have then created a Create button that branches to the same page as the updatable reportn and a Branch.
    I then created an after submit process that makes the insert of the data.
    But apparently the process is not fired when I click the create button.
    How do I have to do to fire a Submit on the page in order for my process to be run?
    Thanks.

    Just to amplify MtD's explanation, if you start to move a SINGLE clip and THEN hold down the Option key, the arrow will change form so that it has a 90 degree bend in it.  Then when you release the clip in a new position by letting go of the mouse button, not only will it "insert" into the timeline at that position, but the gap in the timeline (where you pulled it from) will close.
    It's really helpful when you are rearranging sound bites and don't want to have to manually close up the holes in the timeline.  Unfortunately this only works when you are grabbing a single clip.  If you do it with multiple clips it will still insert, but will leave an open hole in the timeline where you pulled the group from.  Having Snapping (N) turned on is very helpful for this operation, by the way.

  • Button not working in PHP page

    Hi, for some odd reason when I visit PHP not of the button seems to be functioning :( I tried clearing cookies, cache restart none work... any idea why?

    Did you try Safe Mode?
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    You can check via the right-click context menu and "Inspect Element" if that button actually gets selected.

    Regards,
    Ranjith N

    Hello Ranjinth,
    To insert the record into data base table. you need to create a work area type of data base table.
    because for insert purpose we need the all the field in header or in work area for inserting the new record into data base table. it doesn't mean that you need to use old the field that is avaible in data base table.
    you can use only those field that you need in your program with primary key.Because primary key is mandatory to enter for inserting new record.
    you can try this..
    wa_wrk1 type CSKA.
    to insert record.
    INSERT CSKA FROM wa_work1.
    hope it will help you.
    Thanks.
    Arun Kayal.

    Well, what else did you expect? CASE evaluates brances starting first one. If WHEN condition is not met it continues to next one. As soon as WHEN condition is met, THEN clause is executed after that CASE exits. You need to use IF statement, not case:

  • MM_editRedirectUrl on insert not working

    I'm trying to just insert a record then move on to other
    parts of the form by passing the ID, but I can't seem to get it to
    work. here's what doesn't work:
    MM_editRedirectUrl = "insert3.asp?projectID=" &
    rsProjectID.Fields.Item("projectID").Value
    Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
    Object required: ''
    /commFlash-admin/insert2.asp, line 45

    I you are using the inset wizard/extension check to be sure
    all fields
    are completed. If the snipet is what is on line 45, then it
    appears
    that projectID is not poplulated. Is this populated or is it
    a
    autoincrement value?

  • Class Based SWF will not work in PHP page

    hello everyone,
    i really hope someone out there can help me with an issue i
    have come across with PHP and AS3.
    i basicly have Made a Class called CrossFade, that fades in
    and cross fades to the next image that are loaded Via an XML file.
    now this SWF works fine in a regular HMTL setting on the
    server, so i know the path to everything is correct. But when it
    comes to being embedded into the PHP page, it just won't work.
    the Files are all contained in a Folder called Banner, the
    SWF is linked the the CrossFade.as class, and the images and XML
    are also located within the Banner folder. and again seeing as its
    working in the HTML setting i know everything is fine.
    can you think of anything that PHP would do to cause this to
    not function? i dont know enough about PHP to figure this out, and
    there isn't much support out there in terms of this issue.
    I would love to hear from anyone that can help or weigh in
    with a suggestion.
    thanks for your time.

    http://www.toptable.ca/media_flashtest.php
    this is the test php page, you can see that the flash banner
    is there, but nothing is going on. no request to the server for the
    new images as you would see normaly with teh AS running.
    http://toptable.ca/swf/banner1/index.html
    <--- this is the HTML page that i sent to them for testing. you
    can see that its working and everything is fine.
    they are, in both cases, all housed in the same folder, and
    unless there is something going on in the PHP page that i don;t
    know about, the paths to the XML and the images and the AS files
    should be the same?
