Insert row with same formatted cells

I am a newbye with Numbers.
I have created a spreadsheet with some columns and every cell formatted, such as a list or a box to check.
Until now every time I have inserted a new row the system create a row with the same formattated cells,
now the system insert a blank row without formattated cells.
Please, help me! Thanks.

Being new to Numbers, you should read the Numbers User Guide, available as a free download from the help menu.
The problem you are experiencing may be in another column. The condition that Barry mentioned, having the same expression or special format in every body row, applies to every column in the table.

Transient VO insert error-Attempting to insert row with no matching EO base

Hi ,
I have a transient Vo (created using option - rows populated programmatically, not based on Query) and I need to uptade/insert rows in vo on click of a button.
when i nsert row, i get following error
oracle.jbo.InvalidOperException: JBO-26020: Attempting to insert row with no matching EO base
This is what I am doing in my code

The EO handles all DML, hence you need it if you have to set attributes in a VO. An EO handles the storage of a the single row (or part if your VO consists of multiple tables).
You can try and overwrite the setter method of the attributes in ViewRowImpl class and store the changes somewhere else.

and I found that will seperate if it has diference project code but it's not enough for me.

Sorry to tell you, it is not possible to do so in current B1 without addon development.
There are 2 alternative.
1.Consulting Workaround:
Seperate the Item into 2 items, the account into 2 sub accounts.e.g.
Item A => Item A01 and A02
G/L Account 1001 => Sub Account 100101 and 100102
2.AddOn development to seperate the JE just after it is created document
You can update to JE to seperate just after JE are created by docuemnts.
Just Listen FormDataAdd Event.

JBO-26020: Attempting to insert row with no matching EO base

Hi All,
I have a bit of a problem here. The following is some background information. Please help if possible.
Aim: I have a custom application whereby I need to add the sequence value (assuming the sequence.nextval is already taken and stored into a variable/original table) to my custom table.
Procedures taken: I have found the EO which gets the sequence value for the original application and the VO that gets the EO. I have added both EO and VO to my project and tried to add the VO to my custom AM. In my custom AM I have added the following code to initialize the create function of the standard EO:

Cause: The application code tried to take a row from one row set (or view object) and insert it into another row set (view object). In response, the framework will make a "copy" of the row in the new row set. This new row will share references to the underlying entity objects. However, if the source and destination row sets do not share any entity object bases at all, this operation will fail as it does not find any entity rows to share.
Action: When attempting to take a row from one row set and insert into another, make sure that they share at least one entity object base.

Ok, the problem here is that you want a dynamic pivot of data and you also want to use some of the data as the column names.
SQL requires that the columns to be retrieved are known at query parse time, i.e. before any data is fetched, so it's not easily possible to have dynamic column names done in a single query.
The general steps in executing a query are...
1. Submit SQL query (Open Query)
2. SQL Query Parsed
3. SQL Query Executed
4. Row Fetched
5. Repeat step 4 until no more rows
6. Close QuerySo, as you can see no data is fetched until step 4, but, at Step 2, the SQL engine needs to have parsed the query and already know what columns and data types are going to be returned.
An example of how something similar can be achieved is given on this thread:

But that may be a little too complex to implement.
What you are really wanting is something at the front end reporting side of things.
Ideally, this is the task of a reporting tool, not of the SQL engine which is retrieving the data.

Strange Behaviour: Inserting Rows with OrdVideoDomain using JDeveloper

i created two tables each containing OrdVideoDomainField.
i use the same function to fill the rows with values. the code is like this:

When i use the function of the viewobject A, all the data is stored correctly when dealing with table A. But when dealing with table B, all the data are stored correctly but the OrdVideoDomain field is filled with null. i get no error at all.
i checked the names of the fields in the tables, and they are correct.
i tried to upload files into both tables and these are working perfectly fine.

Creating report with 365 col & rows with same headings

Iam facing a problem while creating a report.
I have to generate a report which is having dynamic columns and rows
For Eg. In this report I have total 365 columns (M1 to M365)depends up on the user he can generate the report for 2 or 3 or may be 365 columns and rows also dynamic. If Product code are more then it will proceed printing in next page.In the next page also he will get same column headings.I am not able to decide the table for that can you sugest some table for that.

You don't. That's the nature of the data. For example a single person can order multiple items. A simple one to many relationship.

You should be seeing tables... I think you're having a tough time with the basic terminology.

There is rarely if ever any reason to switch from the default "not enforced". Leave it alone. The only one you'll touch 90% of the time is the Join Type.

Based on the questions you're asking, it sounds like you are missing some major database fundamentals. My suggestion would be to step away from CR for the time being and read a little bit about relational databases (what makes them relational) and database normalization. This will also give you an idea about the various join types and when to use one over the other.
You can know every feature and function in CR, but until you have at least a basic knowledge of how data relates, you'll never pull in the data you need.

Insert row with datapages/bc4j problem with primary key

Hi everybody,
i tryed to insert a new row into a table with primary key (id) and therfore used a datapage, where there is a html-form and the data tag set attribute to get the data into the BC.
I also want to use a sequence for the primary key and made a trigger to insert the key-value before insert. but in this case it doesnt work. I also tryed to get the sequence to the BC -Layer (so that i can set the PK in the View OBJ already) with a View Object but I dont know how.
so what schould i do??

There's a know issue, when creating a record with blob, the blob content won't show until committing. The blob is added too late, which means you're in trouble with not-null fields...

Update of JTable after inserting row with beans binding

I have a little problem. When i create a little app with netbeans which uses the beansbinding with a table it is not possible to get updates of the list into the table.
i use nearly the same methods as if i create a database application with the wizzard. The only difference i see (so far) is that i don't use the Swing application framework.
if i try to repaint the table or the ScrollPane, nothing happens. The list is changed but not the table....

You should be updating the TableModel, not the "list". When you update the model it will notify the table to repaint itself.

Macro/VBA script to merge rows with same values in another column

I'm developing a dance competition application, using Excel 2010, and have so far managed to put judges' marked scores into a worksheet through a userform.
Now I would like to make the worksheet more presentable as a scoreboard, as you would manually, but via VBA scripts.
Exhibit Numbers (Column G) are unique identifiers (per competition) for contestants and each contestant is typically judged by three judges. The scores in three separate categories from one judge would spread in one row so each contestant would have three
rows.
I would like to merge rows of columns where the totals from the judges go (Columns P to U) for each contestant.
I've considered using some kind of loop but I don't have enough experience in vba scripting, it gets overcomplicated. Could someone please help?

You cannot add a static "Y" inside a when looping over "i". You need to ensure that "Y" changes along with X. Try the modified code below.

How to identfy rows with same column value

I have a table student
id ( pkey)
name
class
marks
i need to check the existence of duplicate values like
say the values are :
id name class marks
1 alan 6 85
2 victor 4 97
3 alan 6 85
i need to know if there is any matching row in the table --- like in this case id=1 and id=3 have same value for all the columns except for id .
so the result shud tell me the ids which have duplicate values for name , class , marks and also those ids for which there is no duplicacy
for id= 1 i see that id= 3 has same values
and id=2 has no duplicates
how do i show it ??

You can use a self join to pull out the data which are almost duplicate without a column values here in this example without id the first and third records are duplicate.

Easy way to create a register (duplicate boxes with same formatting, diffrent text)

I'm trying to create like a register over about 200 people with information about name, age, adress and so on. I wonder if there is a function that formattes this easely?
As i see it, the pages will consist of like 20 boxes, all with the same layout but with some of the text diffrent. Lets say that after ive created like 40 of these, i see that i need to change i.e. the fonttype, i dont want to do it 40 times, one for each of the boxes.
I think the boxes will be somthing like this:
Name: <Firstname> <Lastname>
Age: <Age>
From: <Adress>
School: <School>
