Inserting image to a html file

Hey guys, its been awhile since i worked with codes and i now need to ad an image to my home page where i left a space just for it. I know the image code but it doesn´t seem to be working i think i am placing it in the wrong place. Can someone help me out please ? If needs to i can send the html file (home.html) and the screenshot of my page.
Thank you guys

This is the code from your posted link.  I copied View > Source from FF and pasted into NoteTab....  Removed white spaces and copy Ctrl+C & pasted Ctrl+V here using >> Syntax highlighting > Plain.
Unfortunately, this is only the bloated HTML.  It doesn't include styles from your 9 external CSS files!
So where are you trying to insert an image???

  • View metadata near his image in a html file?

    Hi
    I am new to this board,
    I wanted to ask if there is a way to publish the metadata of an image, (or filtered metadata), into a html file, (for expample near the image).
    It want to publish photos with some of the metadata of it made readable on an easy way...
    Thank you in advance for looking at my problem
    Erwin

    Within Bridge you can select a batch of images and convert them to a Photoshop Web Photo Gallery.
    You can customize the page templates that Photoshop uses. I've not seen any documentation for metadata but some of the templates display caption, copyright, etc. Try searching or asking on the Photoshop forum.

  • Inserting Images in a HTML document

    Hello,
    i m developing a small HTML editor ,
    The problem i m facing is that if i m writing in my text pane and
    i wont to insert a image where the cursor presently is how i would do this ?
    since i wont have any trace as the last element of the HTML generated
    by the component does not have any id like i have" id=add" for the
    body tag ! through which i know where to insert HTML!
         e.g
         in the below lines i m setting
         HTMLEditorKit for the JTextPane
         HTMLEditorKit htmlKit4Display = new HTMLEditorKit();
         displayData = new JTextPane(styleDoc);
         displayData.setEditorKit(htmlKit4Display);
         if i initialize my text pane with the below string.
         "<HTML><TITLE >The Title</TITLE><BODY id=add></BODY></HTML>"
         then i can insert HTML after body tag using the below line
         HTMLDocument htmlDoc=(HTMLDocument)displayData.getDocument();
         htmlDoc.insertAfterStart(htmlDoc.getElement("add"), "<IMG src=home.gif>..") ;

    Hello,
    try this:
    a)
    int position = displayData.getCaretPosition();
    javax.swing.text.Element elt = htmlDoc.getCharacterElement(position);
    htmlDoc.insertBeforeStart(elt,"<IMG...");
    or
    b)
    htmlKit4Display.insertHTML(
    htmlDoc,
    position,
    "<IMG src=..."
    0, 0,
    javax.swing.text.html.HTML$Tag.IMG
    a) runs correctly if there is 1 character by element
    b) runs correctly (avoid this method to insert paragraphs elements like tables, <p>...(there are many bugs))

  • File Explorer won't display image in local HTML file

    I'm studying HTML. I created a file, RECIPE.HTM and in it I have a tag to an image file, HOTDOG.PNG, located in the same folder.  When I open the RECIPE.HTM file, it displays correctly in the browser.  It will not display in the Preview Pane, however.
    It gives me the warning, "Some pictures have been blocked to help prevent the sender from identifying your computer. Open this item to view the pictures."
    Can I enable the preview pane so it will display embedded images in html documents?  I realize that on a live site this might be risky, but my files are all local.  Regardless, I'd like to have the option.

    Hi,
    If you want to get rid of the warning, you must save the complete web page, not just the html. You have 2 options in the Save as... dialog in IE that does this:
    Web page, complete (*.htm;*html)
    This stores the html, and also all related resources (images, css files, js files etc) in a separate folder on your computer.
    Web Archive, single file (*.mht)
    This stores everything inside a single file, that can be read by IE. This stores all resources within the file as binary data.
    You can refer to the link below for more details:

  • Problem inserting images Dreamweaver CS3

    Hi, I have Dreamweaver CS3 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 loaded on
    the same machine, iMac G5. My OS is 10.4.10 Tiger and all updates
    are current. No particular reason, just never got around to
    uninstalling the latter. Here's the problem in CS3, but not MX
    2004. I can't insert images into my HTML page by any of the
    following methods: insert menu at the top of the screen, or click
    and drag the file. Copy and pasting the code from another page
    won't even work. The only way it works is by typing in the raw code
    into code view. I get a strange warning when I try to copy and
    paste: something like Java script error. I thoroughly checked my
    mark-up and there's no a single speck of Java Script anywhere. I've
    also get other strange warnings while trying to put in images:
    floating bugs.html, margin bugs.html, and others (sorry this is not
    verbatum, but you get the idea). I've tried shutting dowm the
    computer and rebooting, but that didn't help either. When I
    switching over to MX 2004, same files, I was able to insert images
    in all of the various ways mentioned above. So I'm thinking, maybe
    I should uninstall Dreamweaver CS3, and reinstall from disk. So, I
    did the uninstall, and emptied my trash, but haven't reinstalled
    yet. Thought that I should run this by the forum first. thanks for
    any help. Yesterday I got multiple sudden unexpected "quits" while
    using both versions, losing unsaved work. thanks for any
    suggestions, Deborah North

  • Startup HTML file

    Hi,
    I have read in a Forms course, the following:
    For example, to display a company logo in your application, you can include the image in the
    HTML page that downloads at application startup rather than retrieving the image from the
    database or the file system. The HTML page can be cached
    This is regarding to image items, so to reduce network traffic, we can display that image in the HTML file that downloads at startup,rather than using image items. My question is, what is that html page? Where can i find it / edit it, to include a image, to display at runtime of Forms application?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    in the logo= formsweb.cfg file, you can include an image stored on the Application Server via a virtual path (like /forms/icons/my_image.jpg)

  • Can I insert an html file as an image into an HTML page?

    The site I'm working on (www.ngospen.com) has PNGs for background art - 10 - 15 kb per image. As the site is intended for settings with low bandwidth, I'd like these background images to be as small as possible.
    When saving for the web, one of the options is Save As HTML file. When I open the file, the artwork appears the same as the PNG (no lost resolution), but it is a much smaller file size (1 - 2 KB).
    Is it possible to insert these HTML files into my HTML pages?
    Thanks!

    Are you meaning that you work with fireworks?
    If so the html and the images you export are flattened images (slices), you have to put those images directly into your html page.
    If you want to save the file (fireworks) as a flattened image you could also goto save as -> flattened png.
    If you save your image from fireworks just as png it contains the layer information etc. etc. from fireworks, that's why you should save them as flattened png, or just export the slices.

  • Bitmap image won't show after converting HTML file to pdf

    I have a program which saves a technical report as a HTML file. I don't  have another choice as to file type to save as. This program has a  template which generates the report....and there are fields which are  filled in...some text fields, and one is a company logo. Just to be  clear the logo itself is not in the template, a holding place is there  which points to the location of the logo on my drive. This is all set up  by the program and can't be altered.
    If I save the logo as a jpg, png or tiff file, the logo shows up in the  final HTML report and if I use Adobe Professional (version 7.0 on Win XP)  to create a pdf the  image also shows up - a perfect replica of the report is created in pdf,  making it convenient for printing and email.
    If I save the logo as a bitmap file (which creates a higher resolution  and sharper looking logo) the logo shows up in the initial HTML  technical report, but when I convert this to pdf the file is not found,  instead it shows as a small square red box with the error "Bad file  image" or "unable to download image".
    I can't understand why this would be the case as the logo is saved in  the same location whether it is jpg, png, tiff or bmp. It just seems  that the Adobe Pro doesn't know how to "find" the bitmap logo from the  HTML template.
    I did try converting the HTML document to Word but it threw the  formatting out and when it was converted to pdf it cropped the page  & I wasn't able to resolve this...maybe it can be done but it is a  long way around in any case, particularly if steps then need to be taken  to correct the formatting.
    At the moment the document can be printed with success from the original  format - then it's a matter of scanning the printed document in order  to email. It can't be emailed directly because of the embedded  information which is lost if then sent to the recipient's computer.  However it would be nice if the doc could be converted to pdf which  would then make it easier to transfer the file to a backup drive or for  email.  Any ideas? Thanks

    Thanks for your response. Yes I did mean .bmp files.
    The problem is not getting it to show in HTML - but Adobe then picking it up from there. I guess though if it is not a standard format for HTML then maybe Adobe has trouble recognising it if it is there. Also, it is possible for Adobe to convert .bmp files if they are inserted in the HTML file, but I have instead a template with the code for the location of the file rather than the graphic itself.  I don't have this problem using the other file formats and getting them into pdf...it's just that the images aren't as sharp as the bmp. I have tried various formats and resolutions so if there isn't a way I can get the bmp from the HTML file into pdf I might just have to live with printing and scanning from the original. Thanks for your input, it confirms what I was thinking. I'll leave this unanswered for now in case someone else has further information.

    Use an include file?
    Create a new file and save it as banner.ssi
    Insert all the code related only to the banner into the banner.ssi (it should contain nothing else, no <body>, meta, <title> tags etc.
    Change the extention to the file name of the page into which you want the banner to be include to .shtml
    So for instance if I want the banner to appear in a file called 'aboutus; instead of 'aboutus.html' it would become 'aboutus.shtml'
    In the .shtml page place the below code between the <div></div> tags in which you want the banner to appear.
    <div id="promotional">
    <!--#include virtual="banner.ssi"-->
    </div>
    Finally link the jquery scripts to the .shtml page NOT the banner.ssi file.
    The include should show in Design View and Live View in the Dreamweaver environment.
    Alternatively if you know a little bit about php you can use that:
    <div id="promotional">
    <?php include("banner.php"); ?>
    </div>

    http://www.adobe.com/" displaying
    in a small window in flash page.
    I'm new to Flash. So anyone can explain to me or give me any
    hints.I'll appreciate that.Thx.

    Hi
    I give you a code but first you need create a dynamic text
    box to render the html inside soo create a dynamic text box and
    give a instance name, before put this simple code in the frame.
    function carregar()
    var texto = new XML();
    texto.onData = function (html_no_flash)
    texto_html.html = true;
    texto_html.htmlText = html_no_flash;
    texto.load("not.php");
    } // End of the function
    stop ();
    System.useCodepage = true;
    carregar();
    note: attention in the dynamic box instance name i put
    (texto_html).
    good luck

  • Images in a StyledDocument - .rtf / .html -file

    Is there a limitation in streaming Documents to .rtf / .html-files?
    I have a code like this:
    DefaultStyledDocument doc = new DefaultStyledDocument();
    attr = new SimpleAttributeSet();
    StyleConstants.setIcon(attr, new ImageIcon("picture.jpg"));
    doc.insertString(doc.getLength(), " ",attr);
    RTFEditorKit rtf = new RTFEditorKit();
    FileOutputStream rtfO = new FileOutputStream("file.rtf");
    rtf.write(rtfO, doc, 0, doc.getLength());
    HTMLEditorKit html = new HTMLEditorKit();
    FileOutputStream htmlO = new FileOutputStream("file.html");
    html.write(htmlO, doc, 0, doc.getLength());
    No picture or references to it is written on any of the files.
    Is this a limitation to the EditorKits, or have I misunderstood somwhere?
    regards
    Arne

    Hi Arne,
    was your problem with writing out a styled document (RTF) containing images
    solved? I have stumbled across the same issue (RTF document, StyleConstants.setIcon(.)),
    and there is no RTF-code produced for the icon.
    Greetings, Sylvia

  • HTML Files in portal that access relative images

    We put html files on some of our pages. These open up and display their contents, which include images. These images we store on the same portal page (but hide them) so the html page has access to them in the same directory. So, we basically, use a portal page as a web server directory to put the html, css, images, etc.
    Is this going to break in a future version of portal?
    According to:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/portal.1014/b13809/apdxurls.htm
    "Following this release, path-based URLs that follow the following syntax will be obsolete"
    That sounds to me like my above scenario will break. Yes?
    Thanks.

    Why do you use html files exactly ? Because, we have legacy HTML documents that are from our pre-portal intranet days. We were able to just stick them into a portal page and they worked. And, the nice thing is that they can link to each other with relative links within the same directory/path. So, it's not just images. We really don't care that much about images, that was just an example that would be easy for people to understand. Using the /images folder does not solve most of problem. And, like I mentioned before, we also have PDFs with PDF-to-PDF web links where they all link to each other with relative links within the same directory. We also have some Flash (swf) files that take advantage of page-path URLs.
    It's not like our whole portal is made up of HTML documents. But, we used many of them instead of Word or PDF documents, because that's what we had from before. So, in most cases we can convert them to PDFs. But, there are some cases where we have mini websites made up of HTML files all stuck into a Portal page. These, and the PDF-to-PDF linked documents are a bigger problem.
    This is a major headache that we are not looking forward to.
