Inspection at delivery

Dear all
i have a inspection on at the time of delivery. as i run vl01n for Goods issuance, a lot is created n system restricted the delivery and give information that do the UD or clear the lot before processing . is there any option that system dont restrict the delivery process and lot is also created for QM activities. is there any setting??

Hi,
       Error is due to settings in the QM Control data in SD.Check the customer specs tab .there quality inspection mantained as the Before delivery this has to be changed to the After delivery. Then it will allow you to do the PGI.
But you may have to take the UD, so that stock will availble in Unrestricted use from Quality ( if you dont have the sufficient stock to meet this delivery)

    I am having a Finished Material which will be supplied to 2 customers, say A and B. Customer A requires inspection before delivery and when the same Finished material is delivered to customer B, B does not want inspection to happen.
    In material master for this material I already activated 10 inspection type.
    How can I control lot creation/inspection by customer wise for same Material.

    you need to create a "Quality info record in SD".  you'll find it under QM>Quality planning>Logistics Master Data-->Quality Info Record:SD.
    Transactions QV51,QV52, QV53.
    These are set up by material and customer.
    Select "By customer" if the you don't want the inspeciton lot type 10 created.  This setting tells the system that the customer will handle all inspection and no inspection at delivery should be done.
    "After delivery" allows the PGI prior to UD.
    "Before delivery" requires the UD to be completed prior to PGI.

  • Quality Inspection at Delivery

    Hello Friends,
    Please help me out in following scenario.
    I have activated quality inspection at delivery( type 10). Batch management is activated for FG material.
    Now say I am having stock for of material A of 1000 qty.
    This material will be dispatched to suppose customer A of qty 100. At time of delivery inspection lot will be generated. Results will be feeded for this batch and corresponding UD will be done.
    Again this batch will be dispatched for Customer B for Qty 200.Again inspection lot will be generated at the time of delivery.
    Now, my clients requirement is that when the batch is dispatched for cust B, they will not again feed the results in SAP for this batch A.
    I have shown them the option of copying the results from previous batch but they do not want  this also. They want the results should automatically copied for batch A.They will only do the UD for that inspection lot.
    Please guide me if this is possible in standard SAP or any alternate solution can be provided.

    I think You will have to Use BADI for this where in the results can be copied without any intervention from any user.
    Check this BADI which is normaly used for automatic mapping QEC_SELECTION & QEC_MAPPING

    Quality inspection in Delivery and Customer return
    Dear Friends,
    Here is my Question
    For Delivery inspection i am using inspection type 10 meaning when ever there is goods issue during delivery inspection lot is created ,RR and UD post stock to Unrestricted if pass and unblocked stock if fail or rework or change to another customer  and COA is printed if UD is pas
    is my understanding is correct
    For Customer return i maitanin inspection type 06 , Meaning when ever there is customer return , GR is done in IM  and inspection lot is created,RR and UD and post the stock to  unrestricted and Blocked stock if fails
    is my understading is correct in the above scenario
    Also where this Customer info record is used and related with inspection
    From my understanding  Customer info record is used to link sales organization and customer to the material  in Quality inspection
    so that by means of the Quality inspection indicator in Custm info record can control the inspection lot creation before delivery or after delivery and what is customer indicator
    Please can some give me a clear picture of the above , sorry to ask so many questions in one thread

    Dear Raju,
    Let me make you clear
    1) Customer info record stores data related to material / customer. You can decide whether the inspection has to be before delivery, after delivery or at the customer place.
    2)Inspection lot 10 is created when you save the delivery to a particular customer. Inspection 10 doesnt have stock posting tab. If you have selected in Customer info record inspection before delivery then only after you give the ud for the lot it will allow for PGI. You cannot stock posting to any stock as in 01 or 04.
    neither you can change the customer.
    3) For customer return inspection 06 inspection type will not give stock posting tab. It is a stock irrelevant inspection type. You can 05 inspection for the same. it helps in stock posting

  • Inspection for delivery to cust. with order

    Hello Friends,
    I am using inspection type 10 (insp. for delivery to cust. (w/ order) ) for finish product.
    I have maintained inspection plan with usage 06 (goods issue).
    My problem is that system is not generating inspection lot when I am doing PGI when I am delivering goods.
    Please suggest where is the problem.

  • Quality inspection option in delivery tab in purchase order.

    Dear QM gurus ,
    We have a requirement in which the user is making an Stock transfer PO and he wants the default selection of quality inspection in delivery tab of PO .
    Kindly note that we have already activated the inspection types(including 01 with post to inspection tick ) for the material but still he is not getting it default .
    Further to the PO the material GR should the put the stock in inspection and create a lot .
    Kindly suggest the master/config setting for this to happen .

    I am not very sure about how to make it default but certainly it can be made mandetory.
    If they are using a specific T code like ME27 for STO order then Stock type field can be made madetory.
    In SPRO-->MM >PO>screen design>GR/IR Control>me27
    If you achieve this then PO creator can put the Stock type as QI
    or
    second option is explore the SHD0 tcde
    this will solve your problem.

    system create two lots  what is settings need for  one inspection lot
    1) all finished materials i want to inspect  at  delivery level ( with inspection events)
    2) in material master i activated  inspection type is 02
    3)i created quality plan  and  characteristics and all related data.
    4) i created sales order
    5) against sales order i do PGI  at the time of  PGI  when i click the tab  PGI  system should popup the messege  inspection lot no
    My query  this inspection  lot not clear  system should not allow the PGI i do  result  recording and will do usage decision  after usage decision system allow  the  PGI
    another query is  afteer PGI again system created another LOts how we skip these lot  one lot is created with reference sales order one lot created with reference material document
    can any body suggest me how

    1) If you activated inspection type '02', you can't control stock because insp. type '02' is originated in insp. origin '02' and origin '02' creates an inspection lot after goods has been issued. (this means an insp. lot has no stock)
    If you want to control stock, you should implement inspection type '10' but as you know you can't use inspection point.
    Origin '10' creates an insp. lot when outbound delivery is created. (this means an insp. lot has sales order, delivery number and delivery has stock)
    2) As I know, there is no SAP standard way to control insp. lot for insp. type '02'.
    I would suggest you implement enhancement like as customer exit 'QAAT0001'.

    I have created sales order. Then created Production order with reference to that sales order. Processed poduction order. Stock posted to QM stock. Done Result recording & UD. Stock posted to Unres.use stock. Now I want to quality inspect for delivery item of same sales order.and want to create quality certificate. What are setting require.

    Adding to Shyamal answer for Inspection for delivery you may have to do these steps also
    1) SPRO > QM> Quality Inspection > Inspection lot creation > inspection at shipping > Assign inspection type to delivery type> assign inspection type 10 to the delivery type you need the inspection
    2) Maintain customer info Record. QV51 which is a customer ,material combination. You can specify whether or not an inspection lot is created before or after the goods are shipped, or whether the quality inspection will be carried out by the customer.Also you can maintain default customer specifications for a customer or customer information records for customer/material combinations
    3) Maintain 10 inspection type in MM02.
    4) Create the inspection plan using the relevant Usage

  • Certifcate of Analysis for Delivery

    HI all,
    We have a scenario where we want to print the quality certifcation for delivery.
    But we are not using inspection type 12 for delivery. The inspection is carried out with inspection tyep "05" & at that time quality person dont know about the customer.
    Now at the time of certificate creation we cant use QC20 as the system will pick the last inspection lot results to print CoA whcih is not correct here because inspection is done earlier for lots & the lot delivered to customer is not the last one. Also the material not batch managed.
    Now i want to produce the CoA with respect inspection lot & delivery so that the inspection results printed on CoA will be the same as material delivered to customer.
    Please help to sort out above issue.

    I think this may work for me,
    Here we are using the inspection type " 05" for creating the inspection lot & do the result recording.
    Now if i activate the inspection type "10" inspection lot will be created with respect to delivery but can you please  let me know how to use copy inspection lot function ( the requirements to execute this functionality) so that i will test how it works & let you know the results.
    Also please let me know can we activate the automatic usage decision functionality for inspection tyep " 10" for the same.

    Hi All Guru,
    I am new in QM , was MM & PP support. I am confused here about the usage decision vs result recording.
    I do understand in QM there's inspection lot , in order to release the inspection lot , i should released the UD.
    So what's the different between this both ?
    Can i have inspection lot without result recording ?
    Or can i have inspection lot without UD ?
    Please help to clarify my confuse.

    Thanks for understand because i am totally new in QM.
    I won't use QM for Notification here. I will use QM for stock transfer & QM in Delivery before PGI.
    As i know the basic requirement of QM 
    Setup the Master Data (QM View & all QM relavant data) ---> Type of inspection (which will determine which type of inspection to carry out ) -----> Inspection Lot Configuration --->Configuration for UD ----> Configuration for COA.
    Master data that which required
    Material master QM view,
    Master inspection characteristics,
    Task lists or inspection plans
    Code, Code groups and Selected sets.
    Quality info-record
    My Question :
    By having the above setup and configuration , without result recording can i have the COA to print out for either Post Process Inspection (Final FG) or Inspection at Delivery ?
    With the Master Data which i mention as above , is it sufficient for me to activate
    Post Process Inspection (Final FG - QM PP)
    QM Inspection at Delivery (QM /SD)
    QM stock transfer with inspection type 08.

  • QM in Shipment

    Hi Experts,
    I'm new @ QM & was wanting to understand the reasons/needs for a business to carry out QM inpection during Shipment?? Most of the goods produced for shipments are inspected either during production (in-process) or @ GR. That being the case, why would one need QM @ the time of delivery creation at all ?? Even the products from the Vendor (that could be sold) are always inspected.
    Pls shed some light on this one, gurus !

    QM in shipment is mainly a control over the delivery process. The controls are used for the following purpose
    1) To do customer specefic checks -  In make to stock scenario the quality person is not having a knowledge of to which customer the material is going. He will come to know only when the material is shipped. So if quality has some specific checks only for some customers this can be done at shipping time. ( like labelling and packaging requirement etc )
    2) If the certificate of analysis is to be send with the invoice to the customer this control will help
    3) you can use customer info record  (QV51) and can change the sequence of delivery inspection. you can do inspection after delivery and also at customer site

    In Customer Info Record (QV51) maintain Quality inspection before Delivery
    Maintain inspection type 10 - Insp. for delivery to cust. (w/ order) in material master.
    As you activate 10 inspection and select before delivery in the Customer info record lots get generated when u save the delivery. PGI can be done only after the Lot is cleared.
    Once the sales order is created and delivery is created and saved the lot gets generated. Delivery can be completed only after Usage decision of lots is over
    Steps,
    1) SPRO > QM> Quality Inspection > Inspection lot creation > inspection at shipping > Assign inspection type to delivery type> assign inspection type 10 to the delivery type.
    2) Maintain customer info Record. QV51 for customer ,material combination. Where  specify Quality inspection before Delivery . Delivery category is M i.e Sample.
    3) Maintain 10 inspection type in MM02.
    4) Created the inspection plan using the Usage key 6.
    5) Now create a delivery for the sales order and save. Lot will be created. Only after lot is cleared you will be able to do the PGI
    Note :- Please save the delivery first. Do not do PGI. Lot gets created when delivery is saved.

  • Reg insp lot at the time of delivary

    Dear all,
    To carryout insp at the time of delivary , I have give insp type-12 in material master and in customization assigned insp type to delivary document type,at the time of delivary we are getting error as "status of insp lot no 120000000052 patial lot 00000 does not allow goods issue", although we are doing delivary for total qty we are getting this error, please help me in solving it.

    If your assign the Inspection at delivery level means follow the below step.
    1. Save the delivery document without PGI. After saving the delivery system create the inspection lot.
    2. Clear the Inspection lot (result recording & Usage Decision by using QA32)
    3. After complete the UD only system will allow to do the PGI (Go to change mode delivery and do the PGI)
    Note: Condition for PGI UD should be accepted. If UD has been rejected cancel delivery.
    Revert further clarification.
