Inst DB2 V11, Netweaver 7.4 - problems with SAPCL

Dear Colleagues,
We have installed a z/os 2.1, DB2 V11 with Netweaver 7.4 and are trying to configure the sapcl.
In db02, job profile, general, we can't see or select the db2 subsystem ID and therefore are not able to configure the stored procedure.
Error message: <SID>: Error reading password: Invalid description.

Problem with connecting to DB2 from ADFBC

I have a problem with connection to DB2 data using ADF BC components. Everything looks fine till I run the page(JSF) to see the data of a db2 table. I created a read only view object. This view is registered in the AM and from AM the view is returning the rows without any problem. But when I am running the page which has the view as a table these errors are thrown. Steve, the tester works good as expected and its retreiving the rows. As I said earlier the problem is with the JSF page when I ran the page on Embeded Oc4j of Jdev the page showing the above. The exception does not show on the console.
Please let me know if you need any more details.

DB2 problems with Dynamic SQL

Does anyone out there use dynamic SQL with DB2? If so, are the sql statements causing a PreparedStatement to be executed on DB2. I posted this question similarly before, but never resolved it, and it is killing me. I have to resolve this ASAP!
Here is the problem: My DB2 Admin says that EVERY TIME I access the database, my Java app is causing the database to create a PreparedStatement. However, I'm using Statement objects exclusively, with dynamic SQL. He says that DB2 needs an "access path" for the client, and that it converts the Statement to a PreparedStatement, as this is the only way to get this "access path". He says the only solution is either stored procedures or SQLJ, which will do the binding in advance, and increase performance tremendously. However, I am STRONGLY opposed to using SQLJ, and if we do stored procedures, we'd have to write one for every possible SQL statment! I KNOW there is a better solution.
Is anyone out there having these problems with JDBC and DB2? Surely someone out there uses DB2 and JDBC and either has these problems or can confirm that something is incorrectly configured on the database side.

Now I'm wondering if maybe the PreparedStatements are ONLY being called on the database when I call getConnection(), and not when I call executeQuery() or executeUpdate() from the Statement object. I just can't see why the database would have to make an access path for every SQL statement executed, but I could see it creating an access path for every connection requested. Any thoughts on that theory?

Problem with netweaver developer studio for sp9

Presenty we are on ep6 sp10 and we have downloaded dev studio for sp9 which is available on sdn.we have j2sdk1.4.2_06
the problem is that when i deploy a par file from netweaver and try to create an iview based on that par it gives me the following error

The strange thing is that if i use ep6 sp2 dev studio it works fine. So is there any problem with sp9 dev studio?

I think that with NWDS the SP of the portal and NWDS much match.

driver (COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Driver). In some situations, it introduces a
100ms delay when sending parameters for a prepared statement (846 bytes in
the truss trace below). With the IBM app driver (type 2) we get the
performance that we expect.
In other words, this has to do with TCP/IP communication and whether this is
a JVM, DB2 or Solaris issue we don't know. Probably a combination.

N95 photo shooting problem with new firmware V11

I have got a problem with photo shooting after upgrading my N95 (Product Code: 0534832) to the new firmware (v11.0.026) via Nokia Software Updater.
Before upgrading the firmware, I can turn off the loud and ugly snapping sound when shooting a photo; all I need to do is to change to Silent Profile (that has Warning tones OFF). But it seems that I can no longer turn that ugly sound off with the new firmware!
Is that a bug? Is there another way I can turn the sound off?

Actually I have 2 N95 phones, one is my GFs, both of them are bought and used in Hong Kong.
The way I test the differences between versions is directly comparing each feature with the two phones, where the one with new firmware has product code #0534832, and the one with old firmware has product code #0548445. Both of them has www.nokia.com.hk printed on the box and manuals, so I assume local law is not an issue.
By the way, I have just discovered that the one with product code #0548445 cannot update via Nokia Software Updater.

Problem with Autostorage DB2 9.1 - NW2004s

Hello guys,
I had a problem with my DB. My database is with autostorage but a problem arose a few months ago. SAPDATA1 is not written anymore. I can't explain why it's occuring this but DB is growing without writing in SAPDATA1.
I want to solve this and to get database balanced again.
SAP support told me to make a restore redirect but they don't tell me how must this restore redirect be make.
Could anyone tell me a step by step of a restore redirect to solve this issue and to get DB rebalanced with all the sapdatas?

Installation problem with NW'04 SR1: database connection failed

Hi all,
while installing NW '04 SR1 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 and MS SQL Server 2000 SP4 I ran into an error related to the database connection. While performing the step "Load Java Database content" SAPinst crashes with the message
com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Could not load class com.ddtek.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver.
The connection to the SLQ Server with e.g. the Query Analyzer is OK. I had a problem with this installation setup before (have a look at the corresponding <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=338638&tstart=0">thread</a> ), the JDBC drivers where missing on the installation master but after copying them in the right direction the installation went on with no problem up to this point...
Has anybody an idea what could have happened here? Is this maybe a problem connected to the one I recently had

Problems with 990FXA-GD80 and AMD FX8350

Hello,
I built this PC back in March, and ever since I have been having problems with it. I get BSOD every now and then. It usually only happens when I am playing a game or trying to render a video. The last time I tried running Prime95, my computer locked up and didn't report the error or go to bluescreen. I thought I might post my issues here, because I can't figure out the cause. I believe it's a piece of the hardware that is causing it.
I ran memtest86 with all passes, and I checked my HHD for errors and nothing came back.
I'm not sure if my BIOS version it out of date, but it says I am on V11.13. When I scan on Live Updater 5, there are no updates so I'm not sure if I need to just flash it or what.
My BIOS settings are all default, except I changed the CPU and DRAM voltages to higher values. 1.35V for the CPU and 1.65V for the DRAM. I seen it recommended in another thread so I figured I would give it a try. All my temps look fine by the way. I'm not sure if it has solved the issues though, I haven't tried playing much games or rendering a video.
If anyone might have an idea what is going on I would really appreciate any help. I don't know much about building PCs, so take it easy :P

First off that ram is 1.6V not 1.65V. Your ram is ddr3 2133mhz which is an overclock ram speed. Hopefully that works ok in "auto".
Next, your cpu is being starved for volts. Set it to at least 1.4V. Do not be afraid to go higher if it still crashes.
The bios is the latest for Win7. I am using it and it works fine.
Do you have any monitoring software like HWiNFO64? It shows my 8350 idling at 1435 mhz and using 1.32V-1.46V right now. Under load it will be higher. Yours will be too.

Font problem with Montserrat and Maven Pro from google

Seems like some fonts don't render as they should in Firefox 29.0.1. I tried to use google web fonts like Montserrat and Maven Pro, no problem with downloading but this fonts don't look good.
I tried to install Montserrat to my Windows 7 (64) and deactivated css so that FF runs the font but same problem occurs.
A really strange problem is that from my computer at work this fonts don't work from FF or Chrome, all versions of IE is fine.
At home i have a laptop with same OS and version of FF and from home it works! But not Chrome..
I have search on the net and at your support site but haven't find any answers yet.

Problem with login on(ERROR 10061)

hie all i'm having a problem with logging on to the system,. everything else installed ok and is working fine. i think its my connection to the server, i used Ms loopback.. help on the configuration especially in the windows folder(system32/drivers/etc/hosts)..
Plus i'm getting this windows report after the GUI error connection ERROR disp+work.exe failed.

Problem with links for external user

Hi,
We´re using SAP NetWeaver Portal 2004s SPS 10 and we have a problem with links within notification-mails:
The link to the document (e.g. within a subscription mail) consists of "http:///...". Only user using the portal within our network can open this links. All external user can´t open this links. How can I change the URL so that our external user can open the links, too?

We already have another URL for external usage. My problem is how to define that created links to documents and folder are automatically using the external URL.
If somebody receives an email (e.g. subscription) the URL to the folder is:
http://<portalserver>:51000/irj/go/km/navigation/documents/Public Documents/Documentation
But it should be:
https://<externalportal>/irj/go/km/navigation/documents/Public Documents/Documentation

Problem with unit in Query

Hallo Experts,
We encounter a problem with unit in our Query.
Szenario:
We use the Unit like PC, SET in Query.
In Table T006 those Units have value 0 in the field ANDEC, so they will be rounded up and rounded down in Query.
Our Problem is some Queries need the rounding up and down but others don't need this function.
Where and how should we change to solve the problem.

if you want to control the rounding off while unit conversion you can do it from SPRO
In the BW system, goto SPRO -> SAP NetWeaver -> General Settings -> Check Units of Measurement -> Units of Measurement -> Choose the unit corresponding to 'KM' -> Click on 'Details' button in the toolbar.
Look the field 'Decimal Pl rounding'. Change this to 3 or whatever value you choose and see if it works.
in above link i have taken example of KM, you need need to select the required unit.
let us know if this is solves your problem. I am not sure if this can be done for individual queries but this is controlled by UOM wise as mentioned above.

Problem with EM (Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database)

Hi all,
I've Oracle DB 11g Rel.1 installed on Windows XP SP3. The database is up and running i.e. everyone can connect to the DB by using any App tool e.g. SQL*Plus, Forms, or Reports. It means that the listener and the service is running. But the problem is that when I try to start the EM I see some error messages on the webpage.
It says:
Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database instance. The state of the components are listed below.Database Instance (Green arrow)

My question is if every thing is working fine then what is the problem with the EM? Why it is not connecting to the DB?
