Install CE7.1 on Netweaver 7.0

Hi Friends,
I have installed Netweaver 7.0 the whole package incl. PI, MI etc.
No I want to install CE7.1 in the same environment and I found these labels.

Hi Jimbob!
The CE 7.1 is one part of the never released NetWeaver 7.1. Therefore, I doubt that installing that to your NetWeaver 7.0 will work fine.

Even though NetWeaver CE is a required piece for running Strategy Management, for a specific NetWeaver CE question you need to go to the NetWeaver experts, not SSM.

If your purpose is to learn CE7.1 you can get trail version for 3 months,If its for production then you need license.

Error at Step 9 of 32 while Installing CE7.11 Trail Version.

i am getting the following error while installing CE 7.1 SP1 Downloaded from sdn.. download area...
I am using Windows 64 Bit.. I also tried with Windows 7 64bit OS..AStill the same....
Running msiexec failed with return code 1603: undefined
Commandline was msiexec.exe /norestart /L sapmmcX86u.log /i sapmmcX86u.msi /qn
If you want the installer to retry, choose Yes. If you want the installer to abort the installation, choose No.
I reinstalled the OS again but still the same error.. Windows Installer is up and running in Services....
Hence I found one thread where to install MMC Snapshot then Install CE 7.1... I am able to pass through Step 4 of 32 installation... But got an error at step 9 of 32 Data base server Installtion error:
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver CE Developer Edition > Install SAP NetWeaver CE Developer Edition( Last error reported by the step :The database installer reported an error. Installing Java add-in Netweaver 2004s SR1

Hello,
I am trying to install a Java Add-in on a newly upgraded Netweaver 2004s SR1 system (upgrade was from NW04). This system is a Unicode ABAP system at the moment.
When running the DB instance installation, it fails with this message:
ERROR XXXX
FSL-06002 Error 1060 (The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
) in execution of a 'SyWinGetSecurityDescriptor' function, line (1296), with parameter (Error in getting security descriptor for 'MSSQL@BWZ' NT service).
It looks like it tries to connect to the database instance locally (but it is on another server, so it doesn't exist locally). This is very strange, since it reads all parameters from the profile files without asking for the name of the database server during the parameter input.
Upon creating these services as dummy services, it actually passes these stages, but fails on actual connection to the database that's supposed to be installed.
Has anyone encountered this? Perhaps there's a way to force it into asking which database instance to connect to explicitly?

I'm getting the same error as you. I'm upgrading from CRM 4.0 (6.20 release) to 5.0 (7.00 Netweaver 2004s SR2). My system is Unicode. I'm attempting to install the Java instance as an add-in. For me, the "Central Services Instance (SCS) Java Add-in" phases were successful. I'm also stuck in the "Database Instance Java Add-in" phase. For my installation, I'm stuck in step 11 of 18...which is "Grant database access for account Domain\sidadm". I'm installing the Java instance on the Central Instance server. However, like you the database server (SQL Server 2005) is on a different host. I did the very same steps in our sandbox system and was successful. The only difference, my sandbox system Central instance and database were on the SAME server.
I've opened a ticket with SAP.

Problems installing SCA file in Netweaver 7.1 CE (BaseLoginException)

We're trying to install our webapplication on a Netweaver 7.1 CE. We do this for certification purposes.
Steps taken so far:
- Created an .EAR file containing our application
- Created an SDA and then SCA file
- Installed Netweaver 7.1 CE on a 64-bit environment
Now I'm in the phase that I want to deploy the SCA file into the Netweaver environment. I want to do so by using the Java Support Package Manager (JSPM). I log into Windows with the "s01adm" user (that's the Windows user created by Netweaver on installation). This user is member of the "Administrators" group.
I start the JSPM by opening a DOS command promt, go to the folder "C:\usr\sap\S01\J00\j2ee\JSPM" and give the command ".\go.bat".
I get to see the JSPM client and it asks me to "Logon with administrative J2EE user".
My question: what user do I use there? I think I'm entering the right details of the user that I created when I installed Netweaver, but in the logfile I get this reply:

HI,
You can try giving the user "s01adm" the rights of the J2EE administrator.
This you can give from portal.
1. Go to portal using "http://<hostname>:<port no>/irj/portal
2. Go to user administration tab.
3. In search enter this user name "s01adm" and search.
4. Once it is available you can add the role of J2EE administrator to existing roles.
5. This role will be available from "UME database" option in the dropdown.

Can I install Solution Manager on Netweaver 04?

Hi,
I am very new to the Basis world. I'm trying to learn installations and figure out where SAP components can be installed.
I have just recently installed a Netweaver 04 environment with the SAP Abap instance (Basis 6.40). Is it possible to now install Solution Manager on it or is solution manager 3.2 only compatible with Web App server 6.20?
Any explanation as to Solution Manager installation from scratch will be helpful.

Qual sistema operacional vc está usando? Certifique-se que você baixou o instalador para o SO correto e seguiu os passos conforme a documentação.

Install adobe component for netweaver developer studio

Hi,
I am trying to develop adobe forms in nw04s sp 9 studio and I have installed livecycle designer 7.1 as well.
However I fail to see the webdynpro tab in library section of interactive form designer.
In the prerequisites , I see that adobe component needs to be installed on studio.
Is the problem related to this adobe component ? If so what should I do ,if not what is the cause of the problem. Please provide me step by step process which actually works
so that webdynpro tab appears. Right now I see only standard, custom and barcodes

I am surprised to hear about a kind of RSA1 in a trial version. I do not believe this exists. The reason is still because the RSA1 is the standard delivered by SAP.
When a customer buys ECC, they buy either FI, SD, CO, HR, PP, MM applications ... This is a standard solution with Abap technology (abap workbench and netweaver stuff), end users interfaces (MM01, VD05...), customizing capabilities (SPRO), and support from SAP (OSS). It is supposed to work. The support of OSS is about two topics : technical issues and functional issues.
When a customer buys BI, they buy the usage of a technology which will help them designing a datawarehouse ... This is a standard solution with Abap technology, end users interfaces (RSA1), customizing capabilities (SPRO), and support from SAP (OSS). However, there is no warranty that the delivery of SAP works for your company. This is only a technical platform (RSA1 and all the technical stuff) that helps you designing the datamodel (flows, cube, administration of the loading), the reports (Query Designer, Web templates), the planning solution (BPS, IP). The support of SAP cares only about the tools provided by SAP (RSA1, Bex, IP, ...) not about what you have designed with.
This is why the Business Content of SAP is not the standard solution delivered in BI. The standard solution is indeed the technology.

You might try to change your regional and language setting to German or US. Otherwise, downgrade your jdk to 1.4.2_08.

Error while installing Sneak preview Netweaver 2004 --SP15 on WindowsXP+SP1

hi, i'm getting a error while installing the Sneak preview NetWeaver 2004-SP15 on Windows XP + SP1.
error message: Corrupt GZip trailer
JDK version: 1.4.2_08 and 1.4.2_09
i searched this error on google and i found it's a bug of jdk1.4.2_08.(see this page:<a href="http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4262583">http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4262583</a>) it said this version can't run when the uncompressed file is 2GB or larger. and this bug was fixed after jdk1.5. but i noted that Sneak preview was not tested on jdk1.5.Ignore it, i uninstalled jdk1.4.2_08 and Sneak preview,then i installed jdk1.5 and reinstalled Sneak preview.Unfortunated, i got another error.The error code is 3018.
could anyone please help me?

I faced this problem while I was installation.
Following are my installation's step, is there any problem?
1.I have a new system just for installation, it is WindowsXP + SP1(2.5G memory and 2 CPU);
2.download JDk 1.4.2_09 from sun.com and installed it;
3.download Sneak preview Netweaver2004SP15 from sdn.sap.com. There are 3 files total.
Two are NW04SneakPreviewSP15.rar, the other is DeveloperStudioSP15.rar;
4.uncompressed NW04SneakPreviewSP15.rar. I used winrar, it's OK.
5.start install NW04SneakPreviewSP15.rar step by step according to the installation guid.
6.to this step 'SAP J2EE Engine Server Core', all are right;
7.error in the step 'Load Java Database Content';

I also tried jdk1.4.2_08 and I also installed in Windows2000+SP4. But I faced the same problem too.
From sun.com, I know this error is a bug of jdk. They explained that this version can't run OK
when zip-file is larger than 2G. Then I found here's a file
(name is 'NW04SneakPreviewSP15NWSneakPreviewSP15SneakPreviewContentSDMSDMKIT.JAR'). It's size
is 2.08G. I suppose installation can't manage it.
I tried unzip this file and renamed unziped folder to 'SDMKIT.JAR'.
Then I found another large file in the unziped folder(name is 'F:NW04SneakPreviewSP15NWSneakPreviewSP15SneakPreviewContentSDMSDMKIT.JARpackpackedRoot.jar')
, so I also unzip this file and renamed unziped folder to 'packedRoot.jar'.
Then I reinstalled, of course, It's no work.
Unexpectedly, I found this download link is not available on the sdn.sap.com(see this page:https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloaditem?rid=/library/uuid/cfc19866-0401-0010-35b2-dc8158247fb6).
It say that 'We apologize that this version is currently not available to download.'.
I guess there are any problem in this version, are there?
So, now I think I must download another version to install.

Error while installing Sneak preview Netweaver 2004 --SP11

Hi friends, I am getting the following error while installing the sneak preview Netweaver 2004 on stack 11.It's going smoothly until 14th task and after that the 15th task 'Load java database connectivity ' the system got hanged by just loading 4 rows and it does nothing for hours.It does not give any error message.I am getting the following from the log file.

This problem seems to be linked with the j2se 1.4.2_10.
Please try a fresh installation with the j2se 1.4.2_09
available at http://java.sun.com.
Also check SAP Note 716604.
