Install of JAVA CI failed

Hi,
I'm trying to install JAVA add-on alongside ABAP stack in the same machine (Dual-Stack).
The SCS instance and DB instance installation of JAVA add-on went fine. However, now I'm stuck at step 4 of 18 - 'Create Java users'. It is basically complaining about SAPJSF user. I can create the uiser manually and can skip tyhis step, though not sure if I will miss creation of other users viz. ADSUSER, J"EE_ADMIN etc.
I have attached the log files below.
Any help pointers are much appreciated.
Cheers,
Rajeev

  • Java Server0 failing - rc = -11113

    Hi
We have installed SCM 5.0 with the ABAP+Java stack, i noticed that the java stack was not running, and when i checked the std_server0.out file, it was giving an error saying user/password was incorrect for user SAPJSF, I reset the password for user SAPJSF in SU01 and reset the password to match in the config tool global server :
    ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
That appears to have cleared that error, now when I start Java, the server0 its erroring in dev_server0 :

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Anand
Java Instance is now up and running after creating the  users J2EE_ADMIN and J2EE_GUEST, so I set the post as answered.
The only thing I am still not sure on is why the J2EE_ADMIN and J2EE_GUEST were not created as part of the install, I have reviewed the install document I created with the screen shots from SAPINST and it asked me to enter passwords for these users, which I did, so I presumed these users would be created in the install as with my previous NW04 installs, but this is my first SCM 5.0 on NW04S, so maybe its changed on NW04S ?
I Patched ABAP to SP Stack 10 and used JSPM to patch from 9.2 to 10.1 straight after the install.
Its only when I created users J2EE_ADMIN and J2EE_GUEST  with the correct roles assigned that Java started correctly.
Looking at the SAP Help supplied above, it says that dependant on type of install, different JAVA users are created, but I installed ABAP + JAVA, so I think these users should be created.
    Paul.

  • Installing the Java-Plugin without administrative rights

I would like to find a way to allow a user without administrative rights to install the Java-Plugin for using Java-Applets. As far as I understood, the plugin can be installed in a silent way withou registry modifiactions. Is this working for users without admin rights?
Furthermore I would like to have the web page containing the applet installing the plugin (if necessary) in a fully automatic way so the user does not need to deal with installing the plugin manually. This should work without admin rights as well.

The whole "GetJava"-program is just crap for ordinary users if they get the JRE downloaded seamlessly and then the installation fails due to missing admin rights. This way Java would never succeed on the desktop.

  • Problem installing SUN java 1.6.0_13

    Hi,
I have some computers that fails with installing SUN java 1.6.0_13 and I do not understand why:
    - I have run "msiexec.exe /qn /x {26A24AE4-039D-4CA4-87B4-2F83216011FF}" and "msiexec.exe /qn /x {26A24AE4-039D-4CA4-87B4-2F83216010FF}" (to uninstall the 1.6.0_11 and 1.6.0_12 versions).
    - I have killed the services "jqs.exe" and "jusched.exe".
    - I have deleted the following in the registry :
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JavaSoft]

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\26A24AE4039D4CA487B42F83216010FF]
    - I have successfully deleted "%programfiles%\java"
And now when I try to install SUN java 1.6.0_13, the verbose logging returns the following:

Can you help me figuering out what I am doing wrong?
    Kind regards,
    Psyduck

    Hi,
I found the "solution" to this problem on Microsoft's homepage: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971187
I discovered that if I removed the registry-keys from the old version(s) of java, then I could install the new version of Java.
I removed the the registry keys below (containg sourcefile references to the java source files on the locel computer) from the computers that had the problem, and afterwards I was able to install new version of Java.
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\4EA42A62D9304AC4784BF238120611FF]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\26A24AE4039D4CA487B42F83216010FF]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\4EA42A62D9304AC4784BF238120621FF]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\4EA42A62D9304AC4784BF238120601FF]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\8A0F842331866D117AB7000B0D510008]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\8A0F842331866D117AB7000B0D511001]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\8A0F842331866D117AB7000B0D610003]
What I do not understand is that the Java uninstaller did not clean this up by itself and why the java 1.6.0_13 not just overwrite these keys...
    I am closing this case.

  • [SOLVED] Unable to install "Eclipse Java Developers"

    Hey everyone,
I am setting up a new dev machine and need to install Eclipse (java developer version).  From what I can tell the Eclipse Classic does not include the Marketplace and I need it to install the Emacs+ plugin (I have a hard time typing without it).
When running `pacman -S eclipse` the classic version is the one that is installed (fail).  I have also downloaded the Java version but when I try to run it I get an error `exec format error: ./eclipse` (fail)
There is an eclipse java version available via yaourt, but after installing I get errors thrown when trying to install the Android developer tools; both when running eclipse as my user as well as sudo. (fail / fail)
So does anyone know of a surefire way to install the Eclipse java developer version?
    Thanks for any help.

Using Eclipse Classic I was able to install the plugin with a direct url to the emacs+ site.

  • Client wont install after forced update failed

Running OSX 10.8.3 (as well as when 10.8.2). Company uses the AnyConnect Client, using chrome, Its never installed via the web install under java, always used the download .dmg package.
Client was installed and working. Forced to update to 3.1.02026 from work. The update install failed, as you are probally aware, OSX failed installs dont give much information, client installs, gets to registering componenets, and then says installation failed. The application is installed in /Applications, but when it is ran, no components loaded. Quiting application.
I have tried to use the uninstaller, as well as Appclean and one other "osx uninstaller" to try to remove files. I have created a new user account and tried to install there, same result.
Can you provide a manual uninstall that makes sure I remove ALL files so I can attempt to install it again, when I run the installer in a virtual OSX install it installs fine, so your installer cant handle something on my machine and is bombing out. I have made sure permissions are good/fixed, as well as manually clearng caches and other "cleeanup apps" -> Onxy, but something is still not working.
If there is a log file somewhere that would be of use, please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

I have finally found a solution!!! Yea! (It was in an obscure hard to find support article from apple only found after googling error messages, though why it wouldn't come up in an apple search is silly to me) So... you can not just uninstall Itunes because the problem lies within the support software that comes with itunes.
You must uninstall IN THIS ORDER (per Apple)
    1. Itunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Bonjour
    5. Apple Application Support
    6. Icloud
Then you must restart your computer (I got an error message that some files could not be opened because aspects were missing) I then downloaded the most current Itunes from the computer and the problem was gone. All files came up with the new download. Program opened with no issue.
Hope this helps the rest of you having this issue.

  • Cannot open Photoshop: get error: To open "Adobe Photoshop CS5.app," you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?  However installing Java SE 6 runtime does not fix nor does installing Oracle Java SE 7. Adobe says Apple is problem.

Searching the internet for solutions to this and some discussion with Adobe.
Adobe say Photoshop does not use java so it should not be asking for a java runtime.
The question is how can I stop Photoshop asking to install java since Photoshop does not need or use Java to run?
Found various links that might be helpful:
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/58203/mountain-lion-with-java -7-only/58841#58841,

Known Issues with Adobe Software on OS X Lion
    Adobe's Installing Java SE 6

However as I have Oracle Java SE 7 installed and SE 6  is deprecated and no longer supported for security reasons.
Apple is actually responsible for Java 6's security. They take Oracle's code and do whatever is needed to make it compatible with Apple's OS. Java 6 is still getting security updates from Apple. Versions 6 and 7 can also exist on the same drive. They won't interfere with each other.
Also I am assured in no uncertain terms by Chris Cox over at Adobe that Photoshop CS 5 does not use java at all and that the java error message  and so called dependency is just an error on the part of Apple.
I did find a topic where Chris stated that for CS6, which I know is true. I've installed CS6 (and CC) on a newly formatted drive in Mountain Lion, and neither made any mention of requiring Java. Could have sworn CS5.5 and earlier did you Java for a few functions. Though I likely only assumed that since that version and earlier always causes a prompt to install Java if it isn't already on the drive.
So is there any way to run Photoshop with SE 7 only installed or even better with no java installed?
It doesn't really matter much if Java is installed. Java 6 should put an app in the Utilities folder by the name of Java Preferences. Open that, and you can completely disable it by undoing the check boxes.
Perhaps there is a way to make OS X stop thinking it needs java SE 6 to run Photoshop CS 5.
Apple would have to make a change to the OS itself. It's a not a user accessible setting.

  • Impact of Installing BI Java on an ABAP only BI 7.0 system

    Afternoon Everyone,
I'm looking to answer a couple of questions around installation of BI Java on an ABAP only BI 7.0 system.
Firstly, I am looking for some guidelines around common problems we would expect to see if a BI java stack is implemented on a BI 7.0 system that is currently ABAP only.  I would like to be able to gauge the impact of any such exercise, so we can translate that into extra project effort (both technically and functionally).
Secondly, I am looking for suggestions around the areas where the post Java install regression testing should be focused so we can ensure the existing functionality of the system is unaffected by the install & activation of the BI Java stack.
I’d be really grateful for any input you would be able to provide around these questions!
    Thanks
    Tim.
