Installer suddenly reports all installers of applications are damaged

since 10.5.6 update any application from download or disk fails to install and I get the message "installer is broken" and the quits.
I cannot update or install any new software!
HELP!!

You could try Pacifist which is shareware to reinstall the apple installer app. You can try it free of charge. http://www.charlessoft.com/
Otherwise you are probably looking at an Archive & Install.

If you buy a 16gb iPhone 5s, how much room is actually left for storage after ios7 and all the basic applications are installed?

On my iPod i only had 8gb and was happy with it, i never managed to fill it up. However, I've heard that the room left for iPhones(I'm looking at the 16gb one in particular) is small because of how much there is on them in comparison to iPods.

It isn't just the OS and preinstalled apps (and there are more of them on the iPhone 5s) it is the way drive space is counted by the OS. You should have about 13.1 to 13.5 GB.

Applications are 'damaged or incomplete'

I have accidentally deleted my applications through FileZilla. All my applications, including CS3 as well as iWorks are still in the dock, but with a crossed out circle instead of their individual icon. I went to the mac store and I upgraded to Snow Leopard, so at least now my computer will boot, as before it didn't. any idea how I can get my applications back and up and working? Of course, I don't have the actual software CDs.

Is it really possible to delete applications for good that easy though?
If you run as an admin user, yes you can delete many apps without any "Are you sure?" type warnings. Some operations require you to confirm them by entering an admin name & password, even if you are logged in as admin.
You can also move apps to non-standard locations or rename them, which sometimes makes it seem that they are deleted when they are not. If you can remember the steps you took before you noticed that the apps went missing, it may shed a clue about this.

These question marks are on your dock? And you can't open applications from your dock?
If so, try this: Open a new finder window and navigate to the Applications folder in your hard disk. The applications in question should still be in there (the Applications folder). So drag each of the application icons that you want to be available on your dock from the Applications folder onto your dock, one by one. Take each of your question mark icons that are on the dock and drag them off the dock to get rid of them. See if that fixes you up.
Now, if your hard disk no longer has an Applications folder in it, or the Applications folder is empty, you are going to have to reinstall OS 10.6 then do a software update to bring you back up to OS 10.6.8. You may be able to just go to the "optional installs" folder on the installer DVD and maybe all the stock applications are there -- I don't remember and I don't have an installer DVD handy to look. That would be way easier than doing a full blown OS reinstall. Also, as I recall, if OS 10.6 was on the computer when you bought it from the store, I think there should be an "extras" DVD that has a handful of applications that could be reinstalled from it, too.

BW Report execution from BSP application

I am developing a web interface using BSP. One of the application in that is exposing BW reports in web through BSP. Using "How-To NetWeaver '04", I constructed the URL in the format -
http://<BW Server>:<Web AS port>/sapbw/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=<Template>
This URL gives me the output and I am able to call this from my BSP application.
But while executing this report, I am getting popup to enter user id and password. In actual scenario, user will be logging in using one of the BSP application in R3and from there there will be a link to get this report. All my other application are in R/3 (like sales order / R3 reports) and only this report is from BW. What I did is I created a BSP application in BW and provided the report link there and I called this BW BSP application from R3 BSP application. In SICF for BSP application, I have provided my user id and password.
Everything works fine except for the popup box. This popup appears even if I try to execute directly in BW server. BSP Webpage in BW is appearing with out any issues(so my SICF for BSP is working fine) and once I click the link to my report, the popup is coming. Kindly suggest how to suppress it.

CIC0 - application area Tabs

Hello all,
At CIC0 application area we must have just the following 3 TABS:
Extended Search, Maintain Business TR and Script
In DEV the CIC0 Tabs from application area are correct for all users as Ive described above.
We just transported the configurations from DEV to PROD. Now at CIC0 from PROD, I do not have the TABS:
Maintain Business TR and Script (I need them. It is a must)
CIC0 from PROD is displaying other TABS instead.
Actually when I log-in with my users, the CIC0 displays 2 TABS.
When I log-in with other users name the CIC0 displays 4 TABS.
Please, help me out.
How to fix that? How to hide the unwanted TABS and display the TABS I need. How to define the same TABS for all users?

Go to transaction SPRO from there goto CRM->IC Win Client->visible Components->define Profile for automatically created workplaces
and copy any one profile like sales and give any name... select the new profile and add the new workplace that u need.
After this assign this profile in your own IC Win client profile.

I've installed three times with no luck. I downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager off the licensing site: https://licensing.adobe.com. I unpacked and choose my applications. The install seemed to be successful, but I don't so any of the applications anywhere.

All of a sudden, report doesn´t work anymore

Getting really tired of this whole SCOM-thing the last days.
Now the reporting doesn´t work anymore. We changed NOTHING.
State went from Zero to Healthy 4:14 PM on friday last week. Alright.
But a few hours later, when nobody was here anymore, it changed to EROR.
How can that happen?
Reports are EMPTY suddenly. You can't start report-tasks anymore. They disappeared.
We checked:
- Discovered Inventory -> Data Warehouse Synchronization Server
- State is Critical.
- Display name is wild numbers+characters, is this normal?
- Health explorer says:

Generally these errors are caused by improper SQL SRS configuration, to confirm SRS is initialized correctly, are you able to navigate to http://localhost/reports or http://localhost/reportserver?
Are you upgraded to SP1 RC yet and have you the latest versions of the MP' as a lot of these reporting issues have been resolved?
Also re-check all your SRS accounts have the relevant permissions and all permissions in IIS are correct?
You could try resetting the SRS configuration and re-install Reporting.
1. COPY the ResetSRS.exe file in SupportTools folder of the OM 2007 media to
C:.
2. Open a Command Prompt and change your path to C:.
3. Type "ResetSRS.exe MSSQLSERVER" where MSSQLSERVER is your SQL instance
name.
4. Then open Reporting Services Configuration Console, select Web Service
Identity and click Apply.
5. Finally, reinstall your reporting service by running OMSetup.exe again.
In addition, please provice the event ID under event vierwers, so that we could analyze it further.

CM12 - Reporting all Application Dependencies

Dear all, we have CM12 with 2000 applications defined. Some of the applications have dependencies set.
How to report all applications that have dependencies AND what those links are ?
From the Console GUI it is possible to add the "References" attribute that reports which applications have a reference to another application. How to obtain a list of all dependencies and clearly see which application is a parent, which is a child
Have searched the net and forums without an answer but see others have asked.

If you want to see from inside the ConfigMgr 2012 console, you have to do the following per application:
Select the application
From the Ribbon, select View RelationShips -> Dependency
You will then get dependencies for that application shown graphically
If you want to see dependencies for all your applications, you will have to use reporting. I cannot remember if such a report exists that will give that information but I do not think so. So you will have to create such a report yourself or wait for others
in this forum to give you more information.

I recently re-installed my snowleopard OS 10.6 Since the re-installation a number of applications are now saying that this versions of "iPhoto" requires mac os 10.7.5 and i am running 10.6.8

Prior to my re-install of 10.6 i confirmed that i was using 10.6.8. Since i have never run 10.7 on this computer i am baffled as to why these applications are now demanding is after a re-install.
any advice would be appreciated.

Using my Grey Install CD i ran the optional install of just the application package, however the applications still respond in the same way. "You can't use this version of the application _______ with this version of Mac OS X"
What is still baffaling me here is that i haven't ever upgraded these apps in the app store above Mac OS X 10.6.8. My reinstallation of the operating system was done via the original Snow Leapard Install CD. Prior to the reinstallation i was running 10.6.8 with all applications working.
My issue here is this computer is within an education computer lab so simply going out and buying Lion may not be an option.
Additional information that may shed light:
Identical computer running within the same computer lab is using successfully:
     Mac OS X
     10.6.8
     Iphoto '11
     Version 9.2.3
Reason for operating system Re-installation:
-CrashReporter showed that the Dock continually crashed eating up a large % of CPU making the computer virtually unusable.

How old is this machine? If it's less than 90 days old you have 90 days of Free AppleCare coverage, call them! You will find the phone number in your manual. If it's out of AppleCare or you bought it used take it your local Apple Store or AASP to have it looked at. We don't have enough information to know what the problem might be. You can run some tests such as Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode 2-3x to see if it has any hardware errors. Beyond that it's really tough to say.

While no applications are running, something is writing to the HD, using all available space

Very strange issue - This a White Mac Book, probably 6 years old, running 10.8.4 with 4g ram, 160G HD.
There's some process writing to the hard drive while no applications are running, using all the available disk space. I can watch the available space become less and less. At the same time, everytime I try to move anything to the trash, I get a prompt to authenticate. Once a password is entered, the files don't get put into the trash, but become deleted right away.
Things I've done to attempt to correct:
Flash P-Ram - no effect
fsck -fy from single user - disk structure is ok, no errors.
Run verify and repair permissions from the recovery partition. Had no effect.
There is no AV app installed, but there's no space to install to check for viruses. Whatever is writing to the disk uses any available space which won't allow anything to be installed.
Can't create a new user as there's no disk space.
Only option I see is reinstalling the OS which I'm trying to avoid if I can.

If you haven't done so, try a Safe Mode boot ..
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes a longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
If that doesn't help, try locating a diagnostics log file.
Open the Console app located in HD > Applications > Utilites
Select: System Diagnostic Reports on the left.
Copy and paste the most recent kernel panic or crash log in your Reply.
Hopefully that will narrow down the problem.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
