Installing 10g on Windows XP machine JVM launcher "Can't find main class"

I am trying to install 10g Release 2 on a Windows XP machine. I downloaded the zip from the OTN. Unzipped the file. No problems. Tried to run the OUI, it opened up a shell and said to wait. The shell closed and a message frome the JVM Launcher displayed "Can't find main class. Program will exit." I have seen several people on this and other discussion boards having this problem, but have yet to get a solution. Please help.

What's the value of CLASSPATH environment variable? Possibly a non-oracle application has set this variable and the installer catches it. If there is such a variable, comment it out and try again.

Once you have removed the product, please launch the Creative CLoud APP once again and install ACrobat on the machine .

Installed j2se on windows xp, updated path, but can't find compiler

I installed j2se on windows xp, updated path, but no matter what direc-
tory I try, when I try to compile(javac) I get the "'javac' is not
recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch
file" message. This even happens in the C:\program files\java\j2re1.4_01\bin directory! Anybody know what's up?

j2re (run-time env) does not have javac. I ran into same problem with
sdk -- j2se. I invoke following commands if invoking java commands
from DOS cmd.exe window. (You can move these commands in a 'bat' file'.)

set JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.3.1_06 -- where you installed j2se
set PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%

Are you trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine, or vice versa?

I am a beginner and I want to install this setup in my office.At present we are using oracle8i on windows 2000.We want to do a fresh installation in a new setup and hence for the time being we are not going for upgrade or migration from 8i

I use a combination of CS2 and CS3 software and will need to get a new machine soon. I see below that someone got DW MX2004 to install on a Windows 7 machine. Is it possible that CS2 and CS3 will install on a Windows 8 machine?

You installed Time Machine or Time Capsule? Time Machine is part of Leopard (OS X 10.5.x). If you are referring to Time Capsule, you set it up via AirPort Utility. You should have the install disk. If you are talking about Time Machine, can you confirm you have OS X 10.5.x? Your signature indicates you only have Tiger (OS X 10.4.11). If that is correct, you need to upgrade to Leopard.

Does it launch and then crash? If so, when exactly does the crash occur?
Does it crash right after launching the application or after the product splash screen or when you use a particular feature?
Does it crash on any specific module like Loading plugins, add-ons, fonts, etc?
Which OS do you have?
Please share the event viewer or console crash logs.

My windows was down but I can't find the CD for windows XP home edition. I tried to call the local repair center and they said they only solve the hardward problem. Anyone knows where I should ask for help or where I can get the CD for windows XP home edition. I did find the key at the back of my T60. But why can't I find the CD?

My external hard drive is 'seen' by my iMac and I can go into the Finder and open files and folders. I am using the hard drive for Time Machine back up. However Time Machine says it can't find the drive. Same thing has happened with Final Cut Express.

You cannot have time machine backups on your hard drive if you intend to use it in FCPX.

And you won't find it in the list of programs on your start menu or even in the Program Files folder, because it's a "plugin" for Firefox. Where you WILL find it is by clicking Tools>Add-ons from your Firefox Menu Bar. Then click the Plugins tab on the left of that window.
There you should see a Shockwave Flash and Shockwave for Director plugin. The numbers likely won't be the same because I have the beta Flash Player. You can also see if they're activated or not.
