Installing application on mobile?

Hi,
How do you install an Java application on a mobile? One way is from the hard drive of your computer, using software delivered with your mobile. An alternative is you download it from the Internet using the Internet abilities of your mobile. But is it also possible to send the application using Bluetooth, or MMS?
Maik

You're correct!
You may use BlueTooth, in fact just minutes ago, I transfered my MIDlet (compressed as a jar file) to a Motorola L6 with no problem. Just be sure to use Obex Object push, and drag your jar file into it...
There are a lot of articles on this Subject if you google'em.
Hope it helps.

  • Installing applications onto mobile phone.

    I've just got a Sony Erricson k750i and I'm trying to install a j2me app onto the mobile phone, I've tried 2 ways but can't get either to work.
    1) USB - I'm able to browse the phone's files fine via USB cable but I have no idea where to put the .jar and .jad file in order for the phone to be able to run the application.
    2) Bluetooth - I set up a connection between my PC and phone, I click send file from pc-> phone, I click "accept" on the phone but then it says "downloading failed" even though on the PC end it says it was sucessful.
    Please help me install this app, thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
    I managed to get it working via USB by placing it in the 'other' folder, which then allows me to install it into games or application.
    I having a new problem though: I am able to copy over .jars from the example applications folder that came with the Sun wireless toolkit and this will install fine. The problem comes when I try and install my own projects onto the phone. They copy over fine, but when I click install, it says 'operation failed'
    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, because the projects compile fine in the wireless toolkit, and I click project -> package and it writes the files. I copy them over, try and install and it fails.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Unable to install the ADF Mobile extension inJDeveloper version  11.1.2.3.0

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install the ADF Mobile extension using JDeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0. I have tried following options -:
    1.) Install extension from Official Oracle Extensions and Updates . Help->Check for Updates->select Official Oracle Extensions and Updates->Next ->ADF Mobile ->Next ->Finish->Restart Jdev
    2.) Downloaded ADF Mobile extension zip file and saved it in local drive.Then Help->Check for Updates->Install from Local drive.
    On restarting the Jdeveloper when i tried to verify the installation, i'm unable to see ADF Mobile framework in the Extensions tab. Plus i do not see ADF Mobile option when i go to create a new application.
    I have tried to install the extension atleast 8-9 times still no luck.
    Please advice what could be the reason why installation is getting failed.
    Regards,

  • How to download and install application via desktop software?

    Hello everybody.
    I'd like to know how to download and then, install applications on my Bold 9700 using desktop manager (version 6.1).
    Can someone enlighten me about it please?

    The easiest way to install apps is to use either App World on your phone (available from mobile.blackberry.com if not installed on your phone) or via the web front end of App World (http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/) , plugging your phone in via USB.

  • Using labview applications on mobile phones

    Hello,
    I am interested in using LabVIEW applications on Mobile Phones. Kindly suggest how it could be used and which type of mobile phones are suitable it.
    Thanks

    Hi Intelligent,
    National Instruments has a Mobile Module for developing applications specifically for mobile devices.  Check out this article for supported devices: LabVIEW Mobile Module Software Requirements and Supported Devices.
    In addition, if you device runs Windows XP Embedded, you should be able to install the LabVIEW Runtime Engine and then run an executable built in LabVIEW.
    Have a great day,

    HttpConnection conn;
    InputStream is;
    DataInputStream dis;
    int status;
    try {
    (*) conn = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(downloadURL);
    status = conn.getResponseCode();
    if (status != HttpConnection.HTTP_OK)
    System.out.println("failed");
    ...et c.
    It would be great if someone will advise me a scheme to realize.
    Thanks in advance, Vadim.

  • How do I not let certain users run an installed application?

    I have a computer lab at a school that is running Snow Leopard and a Snow Leopard server.  Is there a way in Workgroup Manager to disallow the student group from running an installed application?  I know that I can "always allow" all the rest of the applications, but there is just one that I specifically want to disallow and I don't want to have to be constantly updating an application whitelist.

    Hang an ACL off the bundle and — presuming your students are all associated with a group I'll refer to as "student" group — use the ACL to deny access to anybody in "student"?  That's sort-of and sort-of-not WGM, but it'll work.

  • TS2446 i have a problem in my account every time i want to install application from app Store on my iphone a message shows that my Apple ID has been disabled, what is the problem? what can i do ?

    i have a problem in my account every time i want to install application from app Store on my iphone a message shows that my Apple ID has been disabled, i creat a new password and still that message shoes ,what is the problem ?can you help me please???!!!!

    If your account is disabled then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
    If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    It looks like you may have extracted the files to C:\sp2013. Can you try installing from a mounted ISO instead? Can you also validate that this is Server 2012 and not 2012 R2?

  • Prerequisiteinstaller.exe error - unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role

    Windows Server 2012 R2 running on Hyper-V VM.  File services, App server & IIS roles installed
    SQL Server 2012 installed
    Tried:
    kb 2765260 method 1 which is kb 2771431 which ends with "not applicable to computer"
    kb 2765260 method 2 with no effect (this was power shell commands for PC's connected to the internet)
    One post suggested "aspnet_regii - enable -i" but my OS doesn't have aspnet_regii on it (not sure what that implies)
    One post suggested ServerManagerCmd.exe needed to be installed which sounds true as shown below (but where do I find this exe?)
    There are some errors in the log file,  I only included the portions where the errors are listed.  The initial lines are at the top of the log file, then I skipped to the section where the other errors were.  I can include the whole log if
    it becomes necessary.

    I'm presuming the first 2 errors are OK and just indicate optional startup modes for prerequisiteinstaller.exe
    The 2nd set of errors seems more serious.  I don't see ServerManagerCmd.exe on my PC that's listed in the error
    I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
    Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer.  Any help is appreciated.  Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard?  I will try that, but would
    like to resolve the issue here with R2.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Alan

    ServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller.  Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?
    Running this page through Google Translate should give you an clearer idea on getting this installed.

  • Nokia C5-03 move newly installed application to me...

     Hi,
    How do you move your installed application from phone memory to memory card in Nokia C5-03
    Regards,
    S

    Hello Shareen, the application once installed in your phone cannot be moved to memory card. The only option is to remove the application from phone memory and then install it to your memory card.
