Installing components using auto-generated plans from Jython CLI
Hi All,
for specific reasons, we want to install a set of components with fixed signatures from Jython CLI, but without appropriate plans. In fact, we want to simulate the behavior that we know from Plugin UI, i.e. linking directly to an installer of a component.
We figured the following steps are necessary within CLI code:
1) For the targeted component generate an appropriate install plan using 'pdb.p.genplan' command. This unfortunately does not create the plan within the system, but rather has to be redirected to a file.
2) Import the previously generated plan using 'pdb.p.ci' command from this file.
3) run the plan using fixed signature to install component
4) eventually remove the plan.
Now, the problem is, that step 1) generates a plan targeted for the folder '/system/autogen', but step 2) fails on importing the plan there, because the folder is owned by the system plugin. So we would end up parsing the XML file, replacing path and so on .... We definately don't want to reinvent the wheel, here.
Any help appreciated!!!
Regards,
Frank
First of all, thanks for the super-fast reply.
We got around with parsing using the xml.dom.minidom package in Python. Three more lines and poorer performance, but nothing you can measure against the CLI performance itself ;-)
I like the idea of using a template plan, as you suggested, because the generated ones bear another problem: We have to pipe in the plan parameters, which we don't know for sure, except for one, that is the 'markOnly' flag. So this might get us around piping in stupid dummy params.
How exactly do you wait for the plan completion? We use 'pe.p.lo', but don't know how to figure out, if it was successful or not, at all. No return code this time, and stdout isn't filled in markOnly=true mode.
Regards,
Frank

Anyone know of a tool for auto generate EJB from DB
Does anyone know of a tool that connects to a DB and auto generates EJBs from the table schema, either CMP or BMP. Perhaps allowing you some control over choosing the table, pk, etc.

Auto generate mask from motion?
I have a clip of a person walking around a scene and a clip without them walking around(the background). I want to apply a different color to the walking person so I will obviously need a mask around them on the top layer. How can I auto generate a mask of the moving person instead of frame by frame mask readjustment?
Is there a track motion and auto move mask tool?12padams wrote:
Yikes! That sounds complicated...
Welcome to the world of motion graphics and compositing.
Basically I have a blank room video layer at the bottom. Above that I have transparent footage of the same room with a person walking across. I want that footage on the top layer to be a moving mask that follows only the person. Then I want to apply an effect to that moving person mask and make then blue (they are already transparent). Is this possible?
Sorry, your terminology is a little vague, so it's not clear what you have or what you are trying to achieve. What do you mean by "Transparent footage"?
I'm assuming you have a back plate of your room environment, plus a second layer of footage which contains a person walking around in the room - framed exactl the same.
As Mylenium said, use the Difference Matte effect to generate a matte of the walking person. You may be able to directly use the matte for your purposes and just key the character out of the background. If you truly need a mask, you will need to use the Auto Trace function to generate the mask from your matte. -
Auto generated calls from ipcc UCCX?
Dear All,
I am using ipcc version 8.5. i have to add an feature in the contact center in which the system will auto generate calls to the customers for complaint managment and play a prompt with menu options that if complaint is resolved press one if not press 2.
I am new to ipcc so please can anybody help with proper steps to make it working.
we have a outbound licesnse.i tried another way doing it via a campaign but when i added a new compaign only agent based option was available so i am not left with the option to make ivr campaign for that.
the second option is i tried to make a http triggered application. but i really dont know how to make it work. how to use get http info in the script and place call method.
if any one can explain it in a simple way with proper steps it would be really appreciated.
Best Regards
Bureera SabirAccording to the 2nd article - I've created an empty Company_Phone_Number_Normalization_Rules.txt file and placed it in the Lync file share, in order to avoid any suspicion that the built-in file might be used. I've updated the address book but unfortunately
can't restart the FE services at this time. There's no still no change in the client.
Yet - the problem here is the numbers shown aren't present in the files making up the Lync address book inside the local user's sip profile folder. -
Problem in using Auto-generated Table in Program
Hi experts,
I'm using some auto-generated table in my program. But the Problem is program is not activated due to non-existance of any type of table or structure or view of that Table type in the development server. i.e. table name in development is FMFMOADE12200014 and same in Production is FMFMOAPE14000018.
How can I solve this problem to active the program and transport it?
Thnaks in advance.
GoutamHi Friend ,
If an Auto-generated tables inside your program ,then you should not use that table directly as internal table type .
In that case you have used the Dynamic structure in your program .
tips is you should check first the table is there in the database through your programing using the standard function module for checking the table exsisting , then use the field symbols for dynmaic creating of program strucuture ,including field creation to tat strcuture . this will make your program more lines in that case you can write subroutine for creating the fields and adding inside the dynamice strucure .
simple example please see this link : [http://www.sap-img.com/ab030.htm]
becasuse we do have the same auto-generating table concept in Finance base on the Operating cencern out table name & fields inside will be changing ,Our program has to support world wide Rollouts . so we used dynamic structuring inside Our program .

Error accessing User-Database from Jython CLI
Hi All,
once again, we experience a problem, when running udb commands from the Jython CLI, namely one of 'udb.g.la' or 'udb.u.la' (Others may be affected as well).
Our user is logged on and the application handle works well for any other CLI calls.
Our code looks something like this:
app = PyCLUI()
app.execRaw('udb.login'{...}) # as admin user
app.execRaw('udb.g.la',{})This fails with a ClientException. I have printed the stack-trace:

TOC using auto-generate TOC function in RH - wierd XREFs
I am using TSC2 on an XP machine.
I linked a FM file (not a book) and then used TOOLS, Auto-Create TOC. It does that just fine... but there are some topics named in the TOC as follows:
XREF_1234_1.0_Name of Topic
When I look at the project manager, although these are not topics, they are listed below the topics (sort of greyed out)
When I go to that topic, there is a little flag icon which says its a bookmark. If I delete the flag icon then the topic names correctly... what am I deleting? What are those bookmarks? Is that a setting I can change somewhere?
TIA,
AdrianaHi Adriana.
These bookmarks are being created because of something in your FM file. They could be bookmarks or some other element. Deleting them won't delete any content apart from the TOC entry so you are OK there. You can prevent having these by either removing the element from the FM file or manually creating the TOC. If the former, I can't say for sure what causes them without knowing more about your FM file.

Need to Auto generate bookmarks from MS Access
I have a report that I can turn into a pdf but I can't get Adobe Acrobat to make bookmarks for me automatically. The first field on the page I need for the bookmarks are uses a distinctive font, font size, and color. I can manually make a bookmark for each page but I have over 90 bookmarks to make and it takes too long. I need Acrobat to make the bookmarks but am having trouble. Please tell me how I can do this efficiently. Thanks.
Hi,
Adobe PDFMaker for MS Access permits creation of "Bookmarks".
Open PDFMaker configuration to select it.
With that said, the Bookmark (in the PDF) comes from the MS Access report title/caption.
Unfortunately, Bookmarks associated with fields in a record are not supported.
Be well... -
Translate field name using auto-generated xlf resource for a view
Hi,
as i already know a resource file (xlf), is automatically generated for each view, message pool, etc. But textAccessor seems to work only for messages in the message pool. What if i want to translate the name of a field in a view? Do i have to repeat it's name and translation in the message pool in order to show the field's name correctly translated?
The problem arose when i was trying to display an error message bound to an input field trying to append the field's name in the current language.
Greetings
NicolásHi Nicolas,
For your WD views you are getting separate XLF files wich contains localizable text. So, if you have view with name ViewCV you will get ViewCV.wdview.xlf. Copy it with name ViewCV.wdview_de.xlf (german example), open in NWDS and change all UI text elements.
Best regards, Maksim Rashchynski. -
Use plan from stored_outlines from query with different syntax?
Hello,
I'd like to know is there any ability to use via stored_outlines plan from query with different syntax?
Database version - 11.1.06
If yes, maybe you'll take a look at steps (based on Metalink 726802.1), what I tried to do to make it work (with no success):
alter session set create_stored_outlines=good;
run good query
create private outline good from SYS_OUTLINE_0... -< GOOD
alter session set create_stored_outlines=bad;
run bad query
create private outline good from SYS_OUTLINE_0... -< BAD
update ol$ set sql_text, textlen, signature, hash_value, hash_value2 from BAD to GOOD records
leave ol$hintcount for GOOD untouched
delete ol$ where ol_name='BAD';
delete ol$hints where ol_name='BAD';
delete ol$nodes where ol_name='BAD';
execute dbms_outln_edit.refresh_private_outline('GOOD');
alter session set sql_trace=true;
alter session set use_private_outlines=true;
run bad query
examine trace file and find that it use execution plan different from both bad and good queries
PS: Originally bad query is posted already Re: Poor performance while join of 2 comprehensive large views and small table
PPS: Also I review thread CBO not picking correct indexes or doing Full Scans
Thanks,

How to install Vista using product key from bottom of Satellite P200?
Hello all,
I recently had to replace my HDD as my P200 had a fatal error, corrupting all data on the old HDD. I have no recovery discs at all, (None were supplied), and wondered how i am supposed to re-install Vista using my product key from the bottom of the laptop? Can anybody give any kind of assistance please?
As i have been reading other related threads i get the impression that i need to approach Toshiba and buy a recovery CD, at my expense. Is this correct?
Thanks
LeeHi
As far as I know the serial key which is placed at the bottom of the unit would not work with other Vista versions! the key belongs to the OEM Vista version preinstalled by Toshiba.
As mentioned by Jeka, you will need to order an recovery disk or will need to use an clean Vista CD with an own serial key purchased previously.

How do you remove or change auto generated text in returned form e-mails?
Hello,
I am currently using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional (Version 8.1.3) to create a form that will be sent to a group of people. When testing it, I've noticed that when the end user presses the "SUBMIT FORM" button and a new e-mail opens with the completed form attached, the following text is automatically added to the body of the e-mail:
Form Returned: XXXXXXX.pdf
Instructions to add this form to a data set:
1. Double-click the attachment.
2. Acrobat will prompt you to select a data set.
What I need to know is whether or not there is a way to either prevent this auto generated text from appearing or revise it so it gives a custom message instead.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
JeffIt sounds like you are getting a basic message that is telling you submitting the PDF is unnecessary and asking if you want to submit the data instead. I have not seen this one before, but that is my guess. If you are using the form fields created in Acrobat (not Designer), then just select FDF or XML for the data type to be submitted, not the form.

Auto generate apex pages based on metadata
Dear All,
Is there a way where I can auto-generate pages in apex by providing some metadata?
Ex: If I provide all the metdata with which kind of items to be created for the attributes and pass it to apex, can it generate the pages automatically then?
Or, if this metadata can be converted into xml file which can be given as a input to apex and then, can it then auto-generate pages from there on wards?
With question much more simplified, Can the apex pages be generated dynamically??

If you want to generate actual Apex pages through code, you can take a look at ApexGen:
http://code.google.com/p/apexgen/
If you just want to create dynamic pages (ie dynamic content on a page), just use one or more PL/SQL Regions on your page and render whatever you need on the page, possibly in combination with the APEX_ITEM package.
Also check out the new Apex 4 plugin architecture.
