Installing DI on Linux impossible : libclntsh.so does not exist

Hello,
We have an ECC6 ehp4 system (Central Instance) running on HPUX Itanium (B.11.23).
The database being Oracle 10.2 : Database Client Library : OCI_102 (10.2.0.2.0)
Now, we are trying to add a dialog instance running on a Linux Suse application server (Linux 2.6.5-7.244)
While performing the installation of the dialog instance we are facing a fatal error :

Thank you ! Raoul

Hi Raoul,
The issue you are facing can be solved by following the below SAPnote
1416829 - Error: Oracle Shared Library <libclntsh.so> not found during Data Service installation.
However I am copying the solution from the SAPnote
Make changes in file EIMDSsetupcommon.pm at below part of code.
sub DSrepomanCMD
if ( $DBTYPE eq "Oracle") #Oracle
$DBCHECK_ENV = "$EIMDBENV/lib";
$repo_cmd .= "ORACLE_HOME=$EIMDBENV; export ORACLE_HOME; ";
Fixed it by changing "$DBCHECK_ENV = "$EIMDBENV/lib"; to "$DBCHECK_ENV = "$EIMDBENV/lib32"; in EIMDSsetupcommon.pm.
All the best !

    Hello,
    Open the configuration file with notepad, then go to the “features” variable. On the following article you will find what
    means each parameter:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144259(v=sql.110).aspx#Feature
    You will also find the list of features supported by each edition on the following article:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Cc645993(v=sql.110).aspx
    For example, it seems you have DQ and DQC on that configuration file, please remove them with their corresponding commas.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Alberto Morillo

    Thanks Albert that worked when I just selected the main features and excluded ones like DQ and DRC. Thing is why would the standard media allow you to install enterprise features, create a configuration file with these enterprise features and then fail?? Why
    would Microsoft tease you like that? Frustrating since I spent hours on this ..

  • XAML DataContext: name does not exist in the namespace

    I have created a new C# WPF Application project in VS 2013, named dataconfigtest.  The namespace is dataconfigtest.
    I add a new, public class named "TestDataClass".  It is also in the dataconfigtest namespace.
    I add the following code to the XAML file (MainWindow.xaml) in the <Window> section:
    xmlns:local="clr-namespace:dataconfigtest"
    I then define the datacontext as follows:
    <Window.DataContext>
    <local:TestDataClass />
    </Window.DataContext>
    When I build the project, I receive the following error:
    The name "TestDataClass" does not exist in the namespace "clr-namespace:dataconfigtest"
    I have tried:
    closing/opening VS
    removing/adding the project
    creating a fresh project
    cleaning and rebuilding
    including the assembly information in the XAML "local" namespace definition
    Note that I can set the datacontext in the C# code-behind.  It's only in the XAML that I have problems.
    Thank you for any help!
    EDIT: I opened the same VS project file on a different computer and it worked.  I will try repairing my installation of VS.
    EDIT2: I have repaired the installation and rebooted.  Same issue.  I will try re-installing VS.

    Hi Qubert,
    >>The name "TestDataClass" does not exist in the namespace "clr-namespace:dataconfigtest"
    From this error message,i think that your namespace could be incorrect or you need to rebuild the project.
    This is my code snippets:
    <Window x:Class="dataconfigtest.MainWindow"
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:local="clr-namespace:dataconfigtest"
    Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525">
    <Window.DataContext>
    <local:TestDataClass></local:TestDataClass>
    </Window.DataContext>
    <Grid>
    </Grid>
    </Window>
    public class TestDataClass
    public string data { get; set; }
    >>EDIT: I opened the same VS project file on a different computer and it worked.  I will try repairing my installation of VS.
    In my experience,your environment might be some problems, So please feel free to tell me the result of  repairing your VS.

  • "Selected disk does not exist" after install using Unetbootin

    Hello, I downloaed core iso file and use unetbootin to created a bootable usb disk, then I booted from the usb disk, installed the system as usual, then I rebooted the machine, the grub menu is shown, but when I selected archlinux, it shows:
       Booting 'Arch Linux'
    root (hd1,0)
    Error 21: Selected disk does not exist
    Press any key to continue...
    if I press any key, it goes to grub menu again.
    I noticed that when I installed the system, the usb disk is /dev/sda1, the harddisk is /dev/sdb1, /dev/sdb2 ... (several partitions), so I guess there is a problem here, and when I reboot, harddisk becomes /dev/sda1 sda2... so the system cannot find /dev/sdb1 2...
    I read a post about unetbootin, it did not mention anything about the problem, so I think there is no problem install using unetbootin...

    Try to change (hd1,0) pour (hd0,0). GRUB considers the disk from where he was loaded as hd0.
    If you want more infos check with http://sourceforge.net/projects/bootinfoscript/
    and post it's output.

    The statement above is in the pop up error box every time, when I launch Firefox. If I click ok in the box Firefox then opens. How do I fix this initializing/launch problem?

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).<br />
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")<br />

    Hi,
    >>do you recommend using auto undo_management instead of RBS?
    Yes. To simplify management of rollback segments, the Oracle9i database introduced Automatic Undo Management (AUM) where the database automatically manages allocation and management of undo (rollback) space among various active sessions. In a database using AUM, all transactions share a single undo tablespace. Any executing transaction can consume free space in this tablespace. Undo space is dynamically transferred from committed transactions to executing transactions in the event of space scarcity in the undo tablespace..The AUM feature also provides a way for administrators to exert control on undo retention. You can specify the amount of undo to be retained in terms of wall clock time (number of seconds). With retention control, you can configure your systems to allow long running queries to execute successfully without encountering ORA-1555 (Snapshot too old) errors ...
    For more information, you can take a look on these links below:

  • Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer

     Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer, And when Installing network printers from the domain controller it reports it cannot connect to printer.  I can ping all
    network devices. I can connect to the internet.
    On boot I get a netlogon 5719 error followed by service control manager errors 7023,7001 and a group policy error 1129.
    Clients can connect to the remote application and RDP operates to connect to the server internally and externally.
    The domain controller is another server 2008r2 box. I have scoured the internet but have not found any solutions that work yet.

    Hi,
    After referring to your post, it can be identified that the issue which you are facing is mostly due to some network issue in your environment. Please recheck your network connection issue between computer and domain controller.
    Can you able to ping with IP address and also with fully qualified name of a domain controller in the users' and computers' domain. If it fails states that name resolution issue with computer and domain controller. Are you using MS DHCP Relay agent then there’s
    available Hotfix for the particular Event ID. Please go through this KB 2459530 to fix the error event ID.
    As per the net logon error 5719 which you are facing states that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against. Below is one of the reason. If this is being logged on a DC and the event
    refers to the DC's own domain, something might be preventing the client component of Netlogon from starting a network session (to itself or to another DC in the domain). The following event 7001 & 7023 states start & stop operation service. Please
    go through beneath article for more details.
    1.  Event ID 5719 is logged when you start a computer
    2.  Netlogon 5719 and the Disappearing Domain [Controller]
    3.  Event ID 1129 — Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy
    Hope it helps!

  • [SOLVED] ABS - nasm - install file (nasm.install) does not exist

    I was attempting to build the nasm package and I encountered the following error:
    ==> ERROR: install file (nasm.install) does not exist.
    When reviewing the PKGBUILD file there was a line in the header:
    install=nasm.install
    ArchWiki (PKGBUILD) explains the install directive
    The name of the .install script to be included in the package. pacman has the ability to store and execute a package-specific script when it installs, removes or upgrades a package. The script contains the following functions which run at different times
    I removed the install= line and everything appeared to work.  My question is... does anyone know if the install script it was expecting to find did anything special that is going to cause me grief going forward?
    Thx
    Last edited by dwardca (2013-07-06 04:43:41)

    I figured out what I did wrong.   I copied only the PKGBUILD file out of /var/abs/extra/nasm folder ..  the nasm.install was still in the folder.
    Explains why I couldn't find the answer on Google.

  • Problem with 5.2 install - idsgroup does not exist

    All,
    I am trying to install Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2 on a new Cluster. The idsuser and idsgroup have been both setup with the id 10000.
    I have created a silent install file to work with the ./setup -noconsole -nodisplay -state silent.inf command.
    When I run the command as idsuser - but the setup command has been sudo-ed - I get the following error:
    Idsgroup does not exist.
    Ive done a grpck and a idchk and both have come back as being OK? Is there an issue where the install will only work if you run it as Root and not sudo-ed?
    Both group and idsuser show in the correct way in /etc/group and /etc/passwd.
    Any ideas would be gratefully received as this is now becoming quite urgent.

    Message interface does not exist in any software components installed on this business system.
    hello,
    When I check the interfaces on the business systems of 1 technical system, none of them have sender or receiver interfaces, hance I can't use them. The interfaces should ofcourse be on the Directory.
    I have deleted the business systems and the technical system and created them again, but no result.
    The product and software componets are in the technical sytem and business systems.
    Any help would be usefull.

    Hello!
    If someone will search in the future for this error, here is the solution:
    The error occurs if the GUID of the software component at the SLD is different to the one at the repository. Please compare the GUID at the SLD -> Administration -> Content Maintenance -> Dropdown "Component Version" -> Dropdown "Software Component Version". At the Integration Repository you select the Software Component Version at at the tab "Keys" you find the related GUID.
    The error occured because the Software component has been created manually at the system. The repository content came from another system via import with own SLD (and because of that with another GUID for the software component).
    Kind regards,
    Klaus
