Installing Ext

Just bought a used Extigy, plugged it into the USB port, slapped in the Install CD. From the splash screen I selected to install the Extigy, then filled out some registration stuff and registered. The cd then went into installing and ran into some sort of error which caused me to have to reboot my machine.
Now I'm stuck in a loop...
Start installation... installation says it is starting Install Shield... System says it will now restart to refresh info... System restarts...
Start installation... installation says it is starting Install Shield... System says it will now restart to refresh info... System restarts...
Start installation... installation says it is starting Install Shield... System says it will now restart to refresh info... System restarts...

Any suggestions?

dont have a any previous adobe software on this new drive
In that case it should ask you for a serial number. If it doesn't, run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to nuke all install info, start over.

  • Install ext. drive software or not?

    Hello -
I have a new Seagate GoFlex Desk for Mac external drive (9ZQAP3-500 2TB), and plan to partition it to use half for a secondary TimeMachine full backup, and half for storing miscellaneous files. Question - is there any reason I should or should not install Seagate's provided software? I have seen many mixed feelings on this in various reviews/forums, and am a bit confused... any knowledge or opinions will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Randy

Thank you - I will give it a go without, as you have suggested. I appreciate the formatting info.

  • How to Install Desktop Software 6 Silently

In previous versions of Blackberry Desktop Manger, there was a file in the installation directory called 'install.txt.'  In this file were parameters for the [INSTALL_OPTIONS] tag, which you could copy/paste into the setup.ini file in the install directory to customize your installation.
Desktop Software 6 does not have the 'install.ext' file, but it does have the setup.ini file.  I tried adding my old [INSTALL_OPTIONS] tags to the new setup.ini file but they don't work.  I ran the setup.exe file with the /? tag to see if I could get any insight on how to install silently.  All this gives me is the following:
    Command line parameters:
    /L language ID
/S Hide initialization dialog.  For silent mode use: /S /v /qn.
    /V parameters to MsiExec.exe
    /UA<url to InstMsiA.exe>
    /UW<url to InstMsiW.exe>
    /UM<url to msi package>
    /US<url to lsScript.msi>
Do any of these command line parameters actually work?  Nope.
I am trying to perform silent installations of Desktop Manager, which is something I had no problem doing with previous versions, but now I can no longer perform silent installations.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Ended up solving my own problem.
For those of you that want a completely silent unattended installation of desktop manager, just run the Blackberry Desktop Software.msi file with a /qn tag.  Simple enough.

  • Cannot open in Dreamweaver, to edit maybe because of this line " ?php defined('SYSPATH') or die('No direct access allowed.');"

Because of  this line "<?php defined('SYSPATH') or die('No direct access allowed.');" at the onset of my php script I can not open my site in dreamweaver. How do I define the "syspath" for dreamweaver so it can be opened?
Please assist me if possible to open my site in dreamweaver. I contacted tech support who were unable to assist me and referred me to the forums. If anyone know how to resolve this please let me know. Thanks

Now that I have found the "index.php" file and uploaded it to wamp/www, I am not quite sure how to proceed to successfully integrate it in my localserver files for use in dreamweaver.   For quick reference the syspath definition is:
// Define the absolute paths for configured directories
    define('APPPATH', realpath($application).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR);
    define('KOMODPATH', realpath($komodules).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR);
    define('MODPATH', realpath($modules).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR);

    define('SYSPATH', realpath($system).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR);
    Please advise. Thank you.

  • ALBPM5.7: Problem in executing Project on Enterprise

    Hi,
I'm trying to execute a ALBPM project(fpr) on enterprise.
My Project includes some external jar files and when I execute the project it throws me "class not found" exception for the classes in jar file.
I got around the problem of publishing my project by putting the jasrs at these locations(install/ext, webapps/webconsole/WEB-INF/lib).
    Please help.Thanks.

    Ravinder,
In order to reference imported JAR-files in a Enterprise, include them
in the user domain itself. If I remember correctly it is in the ext or
    lib directory.
    Best Regards,
    Frank

  • Install DVD copied on ext. hard drive from PC to Mac?

My Mac will not read Snow Leopard install DVD just like everyone else apparently.
My Mac reads other DVD's and CD's perfectly, just not the SL DVD. (Apple has even sent a replacement) The DVD opens fine on my Windows laptop. I've  seen people make comment about installing the SL DVD from an external HD.
So I ask, has anyone copied SL DVD to an external HD on a PC and booted it or opened it on your Mac?
I'm not sure if I have partitioned the ext. HD correctly because it seems that everyone has something different to say.

How did you copy files to the external drive, and what files did you copy? Did you drag and drop in the Finder? Use a clone utility? What files did not successfully copy?
If you reformatted the drive as part of your install, then you won't be able to recover any files from the drive. Reverting back to (reinstalling) 10.4 will not help you.
Do you have a complete-drive backup of your old system?

  • Clean install on new 1TB hdd, Yosemite keeps freezing when copying data from an ext drive and also from a usb

    Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out why my macbook keeps freezing when I try to drag my data across to it (even small files from a USB).
I've had to force restart over a dozen times today :/
I ran EtreCheck and there are a couple of issues (I've no idea what they mean).
If anybody could share some light into the report below I would be very grateful:

    Regards
    Hoz

Thanks - I had a 1TB hdd in my macbook for about 12 months but it started playing up a few days ago (I got the question mark folder on bootup) so I bought another 1TB hdd (same model) and started from scratch.
My macbook is an early 2010... now I'm wondering if Yosemite is a bit too much for it?
The ext hdd is my timemachine backup, so yes I have used it often and it has my TM backups - and the usb is a new usb which Ive used a few times.
The issue seems to be when Im transferring files from an ext drive to my mac. I can use it fine and browse (worked find for 45 mins) then I tried to bring my data across.. and it copied a few gig over before total freeze.
This has happened about a dozen times.
I keep running disk utility and checking the disk. I also just ran the apple diagnostics tool that came in the apps cd - the hardware apears to be fine.
I have a 250 gb partition for the OS and the rest is my second partition for data.
I'm now wondering if I should reformat the first partition, install leopard from the CD, then upgrade to mavericks and leave it at that.
Any thoughts would be awesome. Thank you for reading and replying!

  • How to install Solaris 9 8/20 x86 on an Ext. USB Disk

I am fairly new to Solaris. Does anyone know know to do an install to a completely separate ext. USB hard disk?
I think that it can be done since I can get through the initial installation CD with the partitions, slices, and MBR being created and the files copied over. However, when it comes time to reboot and continue, the CDA starts up from USB disk and lists 2 devices to boot -- CD & DISK. This is the problem, it keeps trying to load up from the IDE-PCI controller instead of the USB Disk. It has no problems loading from or booting up the CD.
BTW, this is running on a Dell Inspiron 5100 with the primary disk holding Windows XP. There is no extra room left on it. That's why I'm using the ext. usb disk.

Hm. I have a question. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 8600 and tried to install to my ext. USB drive for the same reason. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get as far as you. I got to the step where I choose the destination drive and my external was not listed. Do you know why that would be or how I would be able to install to my external drive?

  • Locating games in a new Lion install on ext drive

A friend in the UK has installed Lion on an external drive attached to his 27" iMac, given that he has a number of 3d party games that work only with Snow Leopard.
He asks "Where are the games, intrinsic to the OS (e.g. Snow Leopard) in the new Lion and how/where do I find them on the ext drive?"
Anyone able to help him with some advice?

They're located in the Applications folder on that drive, or wherever they were placed in the case of manual installation or installers which allow the operator to choose the destination folder.
