Installing more then one HP All in One networked printer on one computer

I want to be able to install more then one networked all-in-one printer on a single computer.
This is need to be able to move from home office with one all-in-one to a client's location
with another all-in-one but a different model.
I have been told in the past that I can connect one via network connection and one via USB
but this is not an acceptable solution because the printers are networked and used buy more then one system
at a time.
I don't think this is a unique situation for consultants or moble workers.
Is there a way to do this with networked HP all-in-ones printers?

What are the printer models and your operating system. I am using both the Photosmart 2610 and Officejet 7410 networked here and have additional drivers installed for a K60 that is at another location I occasionally visit. Typically you would install the most recent driver and install the printer, then run the installer again and specify "Add printer".

HP 2050 deskjet all in one -- will scan but won't print from this computer

My deskjet 2050 will scan from both of my macbook computers, but will only print from one. It gives an "on hold" message whenever I print from this computer. Then I hit "resume" and it says "nothing is being held." I have already downloaded and re-installed the driver, and it didn't make any difference.
It prints fine from the other computer, but it's a pain to have that limitation.

I see you're running into print issues. I would like to help with that!
What version of mac are you using?
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for two years. I got a new printer and installed it although I did not remove my old printer from my computer. I used this program and my new printer for quite a few months, but today I deleted my old printer

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for along time now. When I first used the program I had a different printer than I have now. Although I changed printers I never removed the software from my old one. Now this was never a problem until today. When I choose a printer I still had option to use the old one but always chose my new HP Envy 5530 and Adobe never had a problem printing from that new printer. However today I decided to remove my old printer from my computer and now my Adobe cannot find my new printer. How can I make it find the HP printer?

My iphone4 performed 2 backups, one with all my stuff on it and one without. How do I get my stuff from the previous backup?

Ok. I have 2 hard drives and one of them died apparently so..not knowing what to do, I did chose reinstall Lion after command r open start-up. The whole thing is a mess but my computer is back up and running with the second hard drive. I had a time machine backup which I've been dragging stuff out of. i had to re enter serial numbers and do all sorts of initial set up stuff. 1) How do I get all of my icons (like my HD icon and external drives icons) to appear on my desktop again? I can only find them through a finder window. 2) i now have to type a password to get into my computer (user) - I 'm the only user and don't want to have to do that.

Hi . I am using a hpdeskjet 1280 printer connected to a windows xp computer . I cannot get my new laptop running windows 7 professional to print via the network. I cannot find a driver. Hp says driver is included with windows 7 (it's not). I can locate the printer running windows add printer but after checking windows update i get message" No driver found. Windows can't find a driver for HP Deskjet 1280 on the network. To locate one manually, click OK. Otherwise,click Cancel and consult your network administrator or the printer manufacturer's website."
I have tried the HPHND utility from HP but this program does not list any of my networked printers.

The following based on 8 hours (and counting) of frustration, attempting to teach varying levels of HP technical support people about NetBIOS.
So far, I've found nearly a dozen posts from frustrated HP OfficeJet users, using the search words NETBIOS or WORKGROUP.
We just bought an OfficeJet 8600 Premium All-In-One.
The provided installation software doesn't reach a point where the driver (icon) is installed on any of our Windows 7 PCs' Control Panel / Printers and Devices.
After several installs, reboots, uninstalls, disabling PC and router-based firewalling, loading Windows 'dry' (without any startup drivers), we have isolated the issue to HP's lack of providing a means to manually configure a NetBIOS Group.
This appears to be the reason the installation software for the OfficeJet 8600 is unable to 'find' the printer on a peer-to-peer network, yet alone install the required drivers on any PC, if:
- there isn't a DHCP server;
- if assignment of IP addresses for network devices is performed manualy, or
- if your peer-to-peer network's NetBIOS Group / Workgroup name is anything other than "MSHOME"
This last item appears to be a hard-wired configuration on every HP OfficeJet.
Apparently this has caused HP some consternation, given the appearance of HP's "Update IP Address" tool.
Even though an OfficeJet printer can be assigned a static IP address and successfully 'pinged' ... even though command line utilities (below) clearly show the printer existing on the network ... the printer cannot be "located" by HP's software installation routine or its provided Update IP Address tool, as HP's hard-wired NetBIOS Group / Workgroup name does not match the Workgroup name our firm uses.
Having a manufacturer decree that users must change the configuration of every device on their network to accommodate use of its product is unacceptable.
This is a relatively easy fix, HP.

Priting more then one page in the layout

I can't print anymore more then 1 pages per layout of each printed page!
This happened from leopard. I have upgraded the system, then i did a archive & install trying to solve the problem, but there were no changes.

Not sure this will help -- But at first I was not able to print more than one page on my EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R200 printer. When the page opened -- I had the Printer listed in the top Title space. After several attempts, i noticed there was a black arrow next to the Printer name -- I clicked on it to open and all of the application features including setting # of copies appeared. I seem to remember reading something that in Leopard 10.5 Printing is now tied to the application rather than the printer. Maybe this had something to do with it not appearing at first.
Only problem I have now is LEOPARD does not recognize my printer Utility software --for cleaning heads, determining ink levels, etc. I've e-mailed EPSON on this

Can I use Organizer to change the .jpg size of all photos in a folder in one batch process?

We're using wa-a-ay too much disk space for a growing photo collection. My daughter is a camera freak with four kids -- need I say more?
In my current test folder the sizes of the original photos range from 2.3 MB to 4.2 MB. I picked one photo at random and printed the original and then three more, saved by PSE9 as .jpg files at maximum, middle, and minimum quality settings on plain letter-size paper, and again on 4x6 photo paper. It takes a magnifying glass and a calibrated eyeball to detect a difference on the plain paper, and it's even more difficult on the photo paper. I think I should relieve the pressure on the hard drive's capacity by reducing everything to a more reasonable size; after all, the minimum-quality print takes up less than one percent of the disk space as does the maximum-quality print.
I have a hunch that I can accomplish this in a batch process with Organizer, but that's all I have is the hunch -- not the know-how. I would like someone to step me through the process.
I also expect a lecture on why I shouldn't do this. Go for it; I'll listen.

You are the one to judge... Will you regret it if you want to use some pictures with the original size and resolution at a later time?
Yes, you can use either the organizer or the 'process multiple files' command of the editor. But first you should think about two questions:
- Are you ready to backup the full resolution and size files before the 'shrinking'? External USB drives with big capacities are available and affordable.
- From what you are saying, the optimal size would be for files resized for 4" x 6" format at 300 ppi in jpeg quality 8 to 10.
Resizing from the Editor: Use the 'process multiple files' command and click the 'Same as source' button. I would not do it without a sound backup first... This can be done folder by folder.
Resizing from the Organizer : Use the 'Export' command. That command leaves the original and puts the resulting files in a new folder. The resulting files are NOT included in the catalog.This means that keeping your organization (categories, albums, tags...) will be tricky; same if you are using a folder organization system.
Another solution with a third party software such as Faststone photo resizer:
- Absolutely do a full backup before
- run the resizing options in the external software so that the files are resized without being moved. That replaces the originals.
- If you are using the organizer, your organization will be kept, but the file sizes in the catalog and thumbnail databases will be wrong. You can regenerate the thumbnail cache by deleting the thumbs.5.cache file in your catalog folder; it will be automatically rebuilt.
That has worked for me in the past... no guarantee for you!

Printing only one line record with total of all items through alv

i am facing a problem while printing a list through alv.
requirement is, suppose i have 3 line items under one document no.
i have to print only one record with total amount of all items.more clearly...

1001 30   540/- these records in internal table then i am passing it to reuse_alv_grid_display.
i need to display only 1001 1774/-(means sum of all the items)

ME9F - Prints only one message

Hi all,
I'm having a problem when printing more than one purchase order message in ME9F.
When I select all messages to be printed, only one is going to printer, and the other ones stay in spool list with status "-" (not yet sent to the host system).
Any idea why this is happenning?

After some conversations with SAP support and basis team, I still don't have an answer for this.
I discover if I use standard SAP settings in the processing routines configuration (Program "SAPFM06P", form routine "ENTRY_NEU" and form "MEDRUCK") this will work. The problem seems to be that I'm using a customized smartform, so in my processing routines configuration I have:
- Program: /SMB40/FM06P
- Form routine: ENTRY_NEU
- PDF/Smartform: ZZZZZZ
- Type: Smartform.
I already debug the program and the field "DIMME" in NAST table is set in every message, so I really don't have any idea why this is happening.
Any help is precious!

Palm Desktop 6.2.2: Can't print only one category in Month View

I recently upgraded my palm desktop to 6.2.2 when I got a new PC with windows vista. When I am in the month view of the calendar and I choose to print, it prints all categories regardless of which category I have selected in the onscreen display. In my previous version of palm desktop running on windows XP I was able to print only a single category of appointmenets in the month view. I think of this as a bug. Is there any way to fix this?

Just found my answer. Worked perfectly. Instructions very clear.

try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. u shouldnt need to install anything else but the app itself to get it running. if that doesnt work then update ur software and see if that works.

Can I install more than one configurator profile

I want to develop 3 or maybe 4 layers of iPad iOS8 restrictions & Passcode rules.
For example ALL iPads will have enforced Passcode rules, but only SOME iPads ill require content filtering & SOME require Control centre in lock mode.
The actual working groups of iPads require a lot more complicated set of config elements - above is only an example.
I'd like to create & install different profiles & INSTALL MORE THAN ONE PROFILE.
I have tested this on a few iPads & it seems to work.
My question is - Is this the recommended way / is there a problem if i install more that one profile ?

We install many configuration profiles on each of our devices. We only use one payload per configuration profile so that we can be very granular with our configurations. What I don't know is what would happen if you installed 2 configuration profiles with conflicting restrictions (i.e. one configuration profile allows Messages, and another does not allow Messages). We just make sure we install only one restrictions configuration profile, and then a bunch of other configuration profiles (mail and calendar settings, web clips, WiFi profiles, etc) on each device.

More then one student license on same account

Hello. Can i have more then one student license on same account. The 60% of thingy. One for home, one for work and one for the notebook. They may run simultaneously because of the friends using the computer. All 3 computers will use same account name and password.

You may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each.
If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers. You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.
If you regularly need to use the Creative Cloud on more than two computers then it would be best to purchase an additional subscription. This is the same licensing btw which we have for our prepetual product. An advantage though for Creative Cloud over the perpetual product is that you can install on Mac and Windows with the same subscription!
As it stands, the EULA states that you can install it on up to two computers at a time, however, you cannot use applications on those computers simultaneously. This is the case even when you are not using the same application

I have 5 common dimension and 3 fact table which in the same subject area. When I want to display results from more then one fact table sending database then query more then one and I think BI server join this two different result on OBI server. But I think if obi server sending database query for exp. WITH SAWITH0 .... the results get effective.

I have another subject area and which defined like this subject area contain two dimension and 5 fact table. If I want to display results on this subject area I can see best sql for my database

I find solution on Oracle® Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Release Notes.
If you use a version of Oracle Database 10g Release 2 prior to 10.2.0.3, then you might encounter an issue with a Full Outer Join that causes severe database performance issues and appears to hang the database when the Oracle BI Server sends to the database SQL queries that include WITH clauses.
To work around this issue when using Oracle Database 10g Release 1 or 2, upgrade to Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Patch Set 2 (for 10.2.0.3). For performance reasons, this is the preferred workaround.
To work around this issue without installing Patch Set 2, modify the Database Features table using the Administration Tool. This configuration prevents the Oracle BI Server from sending SQL constructs that expose the issue in an unpatched Oracle Database 10g.
To modify the Database Features table:
In the Administration Tool, open the properties of the Physical Database metadata object.
Navigate to the Features tab.
Ensure the values for the PERF_PREFER_MINIMAL_WITH_USAGE and PERF_PREFER_INTERNAL_STITCH_JOIN entries are selected, that is, set to True.

Rendering on more then one core

Hi,
I've been using mac's for a few years now but until recently I've not had reason to use Motion. now that I have I must say I'm really disappointed in out put.
Here's the scenario: I'm using OSX 10.7.4 on a 3.4Ghz i7 iMac with 8GB of ram. so I'd assume rendering a 30 second clip shouldn't me more then a minute or 2. alright I turned motion blur on... but does this really mean I should expect a 2 hour wait?
I had a look around and found in Activity Monitor that motion was only using 1 core. This astounded me and thus I quickly did an export on FCX, which used all of them. I'm not sure what the problem is but it seems compressor doesn't really want to be helpful considering that when I use the send to compressor function I get a file on 2 minutes... but no motion blur. (Activity Monitor still says only 1 core is in use)
Export using compressor settings is the closest I've gotten to it working but alas. Because compressor only uses one core this is no better. I say this is the closest because I've heard that a few years back you needed to make what's called a quick cluster to use all the cores on your computer. I made one. It doesn't turn up anywhere apart from the Share Monitor where it's happily displayed as an option but when I try to submit anything to it it's not available in either motion or compressor.
(The quick cluster by the way did capture all the cores, actually all 8 of them but thats with hyperthredding I'm assuming cos I'm sure this machine is a quad core.)
I've seen that people have had trouble connecting to quick clusters last year and where told by apple that there was no need because motion used all the cores anyway. But in my case this doesn't seem to be the case.
Should I try and re-install?
It's just I'm lost for what to do and it's really frustrating.

Not sure what you mean for "instances for motion blur"? If you mean motion blur samples in the project properties, then yes 60 is way to high (it will render 60 versions of the frame and merge them to give the motion blur effect) 8 is the default.
The idea of a GPU is that it does graphics much faster than a CPU can. If the CPU could do it faster we wouldn't need graphics cards. If you use a 3D app, you'll see all your CPU's maxed out, but that's a different kind of computing task.
Motion is built around the idea that you work in real-time. If you're waiting a few seconds for each frame, you need to find a workaround.
If you most of the slowdown is caused by the star particles, render that layer out as a movie, import it back in and use it instead of the particles emitter. The GPU now only has to overlay stuff on a quicktime movie, not track and composite thousands of particles. Infact, i'm guessing that you could render just 5 or 6 seconds and repeat it 6 times instead of 30 seconds.
