Installing mulitple weblogic server instances as a NT services

I am trying to run 3 servers in a same server with diff ports.Also wants to make this 3 servers as a NT service.
Pls help me how to do this

Depending on the version of wls, you may need multiple IP's on the server. If you are running any version pre 7.0,
you'll need an IP address per server. In 7.0, you can use the same IP, different ports. You should refer to the
online documentation for setting up a server: http://e-docs.bea.com/index.html
When installing the server, you can run the installService script, once for each service you are trying to create,
with different service names. You should also read the online documentation for details on this.

    Hi,
    I tried to create standalone weblogic server instance from one of the ADE views. [http://www-apps.us.oracle.com:1100/~lymiller/Drop8StandaloneWLS.html#sample_install|http://www-apps.us.oracle.com:1100/~lymiller/Drop8StandaloneWLS.html#sample_install] .
    After running the command ./wlsconfig.sh in $ADE_VIEW_ROOT/fatools/tools/wlsconfig directory, I got the following error.

    Anyone faced this issue ?

    The link that you posted is not working, saying page not found. Did you install WLS from oracle downloads site. Or did you install fusion/webcenter suite that installs the WLS also. I have installed Web Center Suite 11g that installed WLS also. I could create new Domains using config.sh without any errors using this WLS installer.

              Hi,
              I am running Weblogic 7.0 SP1 on Windows 2000 SP3. I had configured a cluster

    Hi,
    1)To get mysql JDBC driver to work on my Linux system, i had to add the classpath for the driver to the .bashrc:
    CLASSPATH=./:home/<user>/java/mm.mysql-2.0.6/:home/<user>/java
    Note that I execute the java program as the user <user> (and .bashrc is the config. file of this <user>...). Perhaps you must do this as well for the Oracle driver on your client machine. I don't know if your client machine is UNIX/LINUX or WINDOWS. It should only be clear that the CLASSPATH is set in the config. file of the user under which the java program runs and that this user has the permission to access the files.
    There are no differences between accessing the database locally than accessing it by a network connection. The only thing that matters are that the connection parameters are right and that the network works properly.
    2) are you sure that the table tname (case sensitivity?) exits?

  • Eclipse Indigo JEE M7 could not install Oracle Weblogic Server Tools

    Hi,
    Anyone managed to install Oracle Weblogic Server Tools plugins on Eclipse Indigo JEE M7?
    It appears that Oracle Weblogic Server Tools depends on EMF Core 2.6 while Indigo JEE M7 packages EMF Core 2.7.
    Will the Oracle Weblogic Server Tools be updated at http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/indigo/wtp/ to have same EMF core dependency as Eclipse Indigo?
    Thanks !

    The current tech preview release of OEPE for Indigo is targeted at Indigo M6. It looks like component versions changed in M7, making the current tech preview incompatible with M7. The official support for Indigo will ship in early to mid July.

  • Problem: Deployment to WL10.3 Server Instance started as Windows Service

    Hi Everybody,
    I have deployed my J2EE Application to a Standalone WebLogic Server Instance (in development mode) started from the Windows Command Level via startWebLogic.cmd. I also tested the deployment to a Clustered Managed Server Environment(1 AdminServer+2 MS Servers in the cluster; development mode), all servers started from the command line. The application could be tested and everything worked fine.
    But:
    When I set up the WebLogic Server Instance(s) as a Windows Service(s) (following the instructions http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/server_start/winservice.html) my application can’t be deployed at startup time.
    I get 3 ClassNotFoundExceptions:
    - on startup class "DMS-Startup" (oracle.dms.wls.DMSStartup)
    - on startup class "ODL-Startup" (oracle.core.ojdl.weblogic.ODLConfiguration)
    - on startup class "JPS Startup Class" (oracle.security.jps.wls.JpsWlsStartupClass)
    The Service is started but under Administration Console/Deployments the Enterprise Application is marked as “New” and not as “ Active”. The other Deployments: adf.oracle.domain(1.0, 11.1.1.0.0), jsf(1.2, 1.2.7.1) and jstl(1.2, 1.2.0.1) are shown as “Active”.
    I tried to redeploy the Application directly from the JDeveloper to the running Standalone WLS Instance (Single Server) - as I did before.
    The Deployment failed:
    [Deployer:149034]An exception occurred for task [Deployer:149026]deploy application ... on AdminServer.: .
    weblogic.management.DeploymentException:
    #### Deployment incomplete.
    #### Nov 25, 2008 9:58:53 PM
    Deployment Failed
    Why does the deployment work on the WLS Instance started from command line and why does it fail when started as Windows Service?
    I am Using WLServer 10.3 and the JDeveloper 11g on a Windows Vista OS - both installed via jdevstudio11110install.exe. My Web Application uses BC and ADF Faces.
    The Windows Service is set up by doing the following in a server-specific script placed under the USERDOMAIN_HOME directory:
    set DOMAIN_NAME=mydomain
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\mydomain
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=Dweblogic.Stdout = … Dweblogic.Stderr=…
    set MEM_ARGS=-Xms40m –Xmx250m
    call "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\installSvc.cmd"
    And there’s one more problem with the Windows Service:
    I’m not able to Uninstall the service from a server-specific script, first setting the DOMAIN_NAME and the SERVER_NAME=AdminServer and than
    using call "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\uninstallSvc.cmd".
    I must do this directly in the registry.
    Is anything missing? What’s wrong?
    Please help!
    Thanks
    Anita

    This thread was very helpful to get WebLogic 11g running as a Windows service. My problem was that I couldn't get the Enterprise Manager application to deploy correctly on startup, so I had to tweak both the installSvc.cmd and my script that installs the service (by copying important Java Options from the startup script that works as noted above). It was too hard to discern what exactly Enterprise Manager needed, so I copied a whole bunch.
    What I ended up doing was using this as a script to install the Windows service:
    echo off
    SETLOCAL
    set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set PRODUCTION_MODE=false
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=-client -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000 -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.security.policy=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server\lib\weblogic.policy -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3 -Dwls.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Ddomain.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\USER_P~1\domains\BASE_D~1 -Doracle.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1 -Djrf.version=11.1.1 -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons.logging.impl.Jdk14Logger -Djrockit.optfile=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\modules\oracle.jrf_11.1.1\jrocket_optfile.txt -Doracle.security.jps.config=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\USER_P~1\domains\BASE_D~1\config\fmwconfig\jps-config.xml -Djava.protocol.handler.pkgs=oracle.mds.net.protocol -Dweblogic.alternateTypesDirectory=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\modules\oracle.ossoiap_11.1.1,C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\modules\oracle.oamprovider_11.1.1 -Dsso.filter.enable=true -DUSE_JAAS=false -Djps.policystore.hybrid.mode=false -Djps.combiner.optimize.lazyeval=true -Djps.combiner.optimize=true -Djps.auth=ACC -noverify -Doracle.core.ojdl.logging.usercontextprovider=oracle.core.ojdl.logging.impl.UserContextImpl -Dtangosol.coherence.log=jdk -Dwc.oracle.home=C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_WC1 -DjiveHome=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\USER_P~1\domains\BASE_D~1\config\fmwconfig\servers\AdminServer\owc_discussions_11.1.1.1.0 -Dtangosol.coherence.log=jdk -Doracle.core.ojdl.logging.usercontextprovider=oracle.core.ojdl.logging.impl.UserContextImpl -Doracle.mds.bypassCustRestrict=true -Djava.awt.headless=true -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -Dem.oracle.home=C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_WC1 -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testConsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_wls1031\profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath
    call "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\installSvc.cmd"
    ENDLOCAL
    and slightly modifying my installSvc.cmd to:
    set CLASSPATH=%WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH%;%CLASSPATH%;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\soa\modules\commons-cli-1.1.jar;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\soa\modules\oracle.soa.mgmt_11.1.1\soa-infra-mgmt.jar;C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_WC1\webcenter\modules\oracle.portlet.server_11.1.1\oracle-portlet-api.jar;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\ORACLE~1\modules\oracle.jrf_11.1.1\jrf.jar;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\common\eval\pointbase\lib\pbclient57.jar;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server\lib\xqrl.jar
    It needed those extra .jars to deploy properly.

  • Policy Agent on BEA WebLogic when server instance runs as windows service

    hi.
    my environment is: win2k3, bea weblogic server 8.1sp4, access manager 7.1 and policy agent 2.2. installation process of policy agent asks for server startup script (startWebLogic.cmd) which i found under my server instance catalogue. the only issue is that my server instance is installed as a windows service and should not be started in a command window.
    am i safe with just specifying the path to the startup script or is there another way of dealing with this issue?
    might be a dumb question, but it would be nice to be sure that i'm doing the right thing before i go ahead and install policy agent. :)
    thanks,
    tb

    Hi,
    I have not set it up as a window service but can try to help. for one thing, this step is not permanent and if it does not work then you can undo this step by re-editting the script to remove the line you added. This step has you change the bea startup script for that domain to call the agent script setAgentEnv_AdminServer(it ws copied into bea domain directory during installation of agent) which just sets some agent resources in the classpath. If you start bea and those things are not in the classpath etc then agent wont work. So no permanent damage, you can change it if it doesnt work.
    I suggest you try it out and start the bea server as a service and see if it works - if not try again.
    I am not sure what the windows service would use to start the app server, but somehow it must specify some environment properties and things in its classpath, so if this script doesnt work then you can just do the things in the setAgentEnv_AdminServer script like setting those things in classpath.
    Please let us know if it works and if any extra steps required? Would be helpful to others to know how to configure as a windows service.
    hth,
    Sean

  • Sending notifications from BPEL installed on Weblogic Server

    We have SOA Suite installed on the Weblogic server. For the SOA Suite installation, we did a base installation of OC4J 10.1.3.4, and then installed Weblogic server 9.2 on top of it.
    The problem is with the notifications. I created a simple process to generate notifications. Before doing that, I modified the NS_EMAILS.xml file for the Host and Port. I have done this before so I know what should be the values. Then I bounced both the Weblogic and OC4J servers.
    When I run the process, the notification is not generated. Do I need to do some additional steps to make it work for Weblogic?
    The ns_emails.xml file is located in product/10.1.3/bpel/system/services/config directory. Here is the portion of ns_emails.xml file that I have modified. Also, I can send the email from telnet and it works just fine.
    <EmailAccounts xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/ias/pcbpel/NotificationService"
    EmailMimeCharset=""
    NotificationMode="EMAIL">
    <EmailAccount>
    <Name>Default</Name>
    <GeneralSettings>
    <FromName>OracleSOA</FromName>
    <FromAddress>[email protected]</FromAddress>
    </GeneralSettings>
    <OutgoingServerSettings>
    <SMTPHost>mailhost.innowave.com</SMTPHost>
    <SMTPPort>25</SMTPPort>

    Thanks guys,
    I cannot see anything in the logs. It does show the email message (Like the email to information, subject etc), but no errors after that.
    Does any of you guys tried it with the weblogic server? As I stated earlier, I have done it for two different clients on OC4J and it works fine.
    I will check the metalink note. Thanks for the advice.

  • WLI V2.1 install error: WebLogic Server 6.1 SP1 is not installed.

    Hi,
    FYI
    I installed WLS 6.1 and then Service Pack 1 (separately).
    I then installed WLI V2.1 and got the error.
    WebLogic Server 6.1 SP1 is not installed.
    This is on Windows NT.
    The problem was due to the registry.xml file being empty of content. Thus the
    install did not know where the WLS 6.1 SP1 was. The Service Pack 1 for WLS 6.1
    emptied this file, incorrectly.
    I think if you download and install WLS 6.1 Service Pack 1 in one install and
    not separately the emptying of the registry.xml does not occur.
    To get around the problem, I got BEa Support to send me a registry.xml and I edited
    it to be my own machine and BEA_HOME directory. The WLI V2.1 install then worked.(Not
    the safest solution but it worked!)

    HI,
    Thanks for your reply.
    You're right, if the installation unable to create the user and folder in the node2 means... your suggestion is applicable but I crossed those phase... I'm in the phase of "Install Instance basics of J01".
    Do you need to do the copy and paste method, eventhough we're in Install Instance basics of J01 phase.
    suggest...

  • Can weblogic workshop be installed without weblogic server

    I was trying a custom installation to install weblogic workshop 8.1 without weblogic server. But, when I only choose weblogic workshop, it still picks the weblogic server to install.
    I want to understand can we just have weblogic workshop installed on various machines, so that we can build on various machines and finally deploy them all to a single server??
    Any help for me to understand this will be much appreciated.
    Note: I've installed a evaluation version of the software, not sure if that makes any difference..

    Has anyone else solved this problem? We too are experiencing the same problem.
    We are trying to build a .JWS file from within an ANT build script. The build script compiles the site into a single EAR file that should contain a deployable and usable JWS component, however it obviously does not.
    If anyone has a solution, please let us know. We're facing a code freeze on this project by this Friday and really need some help.

  • Test install of weblogic server

    I just installed Weblogic server 8.1 on redhat linux, and created a test domain.
    I am able to start an admin console from a PC.
    Is there a client piece, so I can have a few users connect to this server?

    HI chan,
    I guess u have some problems with installation. Make sure ur have SAP.NETconnector 2.0 version. and j2sdk installed in your system. may be reinstall .Net connector after uninstalling. I think it will work.

  • How to register RMI object with runnign Weblogic Server instance?

    I need to write some RMI objects(non EJB) and register it with the already running weblogic server so that I can access them from a RMI client.
    Can some help me with this?

    So more precisely the way I am doing it is
    I have a remote interface
    package com.myserv.rmi;
    public interface NSPQueryExecutionService extends java.rmi.Remote
    public void getQueryExecutionDelegate();
    I have the Implementation as
    package com.myserv.rmi;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    public class NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl
    implements NSPQueryExecutionService
    public static final void main (String[] arg) {
    try {
    Properties properties = null;
    properties = new Properties();
    properties.put (Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
    Context context = new InitialContext(properties);
    context.bind("QueryExecutionService", new NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl());
    System.out.println("================================> QueryExecutionService Bound");
    } catch (Exception ex){
    ex.printStackTrace();
    System.out.println("Unable to start QueryExecutionService");
    public NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl()
    public void getQueryExecutionDelegate()
    System.out.println("inside remote");
    I compile these classes and I do a weblogic.rmic as
    java weblogic.rmic com.myserv.rmi.NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl
    I run the NSPQueryExecutionServiceImpl class to bind the RMIObject with the weblogic server.
    Finally when I try to access this from my client it is able to access the object but when I invoke an operation on it gives the exception that RJVM is already shutdown.
