Instance stats

This script returns instance statistics but does anybody know whether the stats are from database creation or from the last time the instance was started.
select
n.name     statistic,
s.value     statvalue
from
v$statname     n,
v$sysstat     s
where
n.statistic# = s.statistic#
order by
1 asc;
Thanks in advance

Last time the instance was started.

  • Showing the process instance state.

    My application for material purchasing has two phases:
    1. the user fills an online request form (providing item, quantity, price, etc.) and the request is saved in the db;
    2. from within the application the user starts an approval process for his request.
    Still using this application, the user can later on look again at his request. Now I would like to show him the state of the process instance associated to it. The best for me would be to link, from my application, the same diagram shown by the Process List Viewer, with a green square on the activity in process.
    Is it possible? If yes, how?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Harsha,
    the url you provided returns the following exception:
    The requested deployable object 'sap.com/tcbpemwdui~procvis' is not deployed on the server.
    I don't know if it's a matter of sw level. I am using NWCE EHP1 7.11 SP04. Do I need to upgrade to 7.2?
    Besides, I discovered that this url is working fine:
    http://server:port/bpem/pv/index.jsp?processInstanceId=<32_char_processinstanceID>
    Anyway, to have one of those url working I need to get the <32_char_processinstanceID> programmatically, but I don't know how. I searched through the documentation, but I didn't find anything.
    Can you, please, help me?
    I think that the functionality I am trying to privide to the end user is quite common.
    After filling an online form and after submitting it for approval, the user is extremely interested in the progress and in the final outcome of the process. Such information is provided by the Process List Viewer, where he can find, for example, the process instances he has started, but it's hard to correlate one instance with the request submitted. Searching through the requests is easier and is done with relational queries; from here it would be extremely useful to link any information about the state of the process instance.
    Can you please comment on this?
    Thank you.

  • Change the process instance state?

    Hi
    i am using PAPI WS ,
    the client side need to update the process instance ,as confirm or reject , so i need to update its state
    How can i do such this scenario?
    Thanks

    Since your query is resulting the correct result when you run it directly.
    It confirms that Issue is not with the Query.
    Also DB adapter will do nothing and only create a equivalent XSD for your query. So this also confims that Issue is not with the DBadapter.
    Kindly recheck the BPEL invocation of DB adapter and also check if anywhere in between process is getting the exception. Because All Tech adapters runs in the Main thread and will rollback automatically in case of Exceptions.
    So check your BPEL process once again.
    Regards,
    Ashutosh Singh

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,
    N

    Can anyone please tell me which table or view in OEM repository contains information about a SOA composite instance state in OEM 12c Cloud Control. Actually I want to create a report in Information Publisher displaying the SOA composite instance state information like, instance is running, faulted or completed. Can anyone provide any inpuits in how can I achieve this.
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Thanks for the information.
    Also can you tell me in which table or view OEM stores the error messages i-e- when a composite goes in faulted state then the generated error message gets collected in which table or view in management repository. Does it get collected in the same view which you mentioned earlier in this post???

    Hi KaiS,
    crs_top -f and then crs_start on it again
    "If Oracle Clusterware fails to stop the application or application resource on the current node due to an action program error, then it marks it as UNKNOWN. You cannot run crs_relocate on a resource in this state. Instead, run a crs_stop -f command on the resource and restart it with crs_start to return it to the ONLINE state before you attempt to relocate it again. If Oracle Clusterware fails to restart an application resource, then you may need to check the resource action program."

  • Unable to create OC4J instance - out of sync instance

    RDBMS Version: 9.2.0.0
    Operating System: W2K
    Product Version: 9.0.4.0.0
    JDK Version: 1.4.2_03
    Error number: ADMN 705021
    Hi
    I am trying to create an OC4J instance using EM. When I do, I receive the
    following error message:
    The operation failed...<instance_name>. See base exception for details. Root
    cause: Error encountered executing command <oracle_home>\bin\emtcgtcl -add
    <oracle_home> -EMDROOT <oracle_home>_agent. Error in writing input.
    I issued a dcmctl listcomponents command at this point and the container I
    was trying to create shows in the list. I also issued dcmctl updateconfig
    and getstate commands. I then get a ADMN 705021 error: The configuration
    files for this 10g instance are inconsistent with the configuration shared
    in the repository...Check the logs at $ORACLE_HOME\dcm\logs.
    To try and resolve the problem, I used note 238393.1 Troubleshooting DCM
    Repository Out of Sync Errors. I checked all configuration files existed.I
    then checked the repository components list, creating fake directories for
    those components that showed using dcmctl listcomponents, and then
    consequently removed those components. When I removed them, I would receive
    an ADMN 906025 error, but the component would be removed. I checked that the
    deployed applications list was correct using dcmctl listapplications, and it
    was. However I would also receive the following error message:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    <Oracle_Home>\j2ee\home\application-deployment\wp\jazn-data.tmp (The system
    cannot find the path specified). The directory wp does not exist, so this
    message is accurate.
    I'm kind of at a loss where to start given all these error messages. I guess
    what I need to do is get the instance in sync somehow, and then hopefully be
    able to create an oc4j instance.
    Can anyone suggest an approach given the detail above?
    Regards
    Andy

    Andy,
    Check the state of your repository using 'dcmctl getState' command. If you get an error or 'In Sync Status' for one of the component is shown as 'false', try to resync the instance using 'dcmctl resyncInstance'.
    If resyncInstance succeed, remove the OC4J instance/component that you were trying to add initially and create it again using removeComponent and createComponent commands.
    If resyncInstance fails, shutdown (if possible) all OracleAS instances in DCM-Managed OracleAS Cluster (if any). Shutdown all process of the instance (using 'opmnctl stopall' command) including OracleAS Control Console (using 'emctl stop iasconsole') and start the instances again (using 'opmnctl startall' and 'opmnctl startproc ias-component=dcm-daemon'). Remember to first start the OracleAS instance that is acting as repository host for File-based repository (if any).
    Now check the instance state, list of components and list of applications. If problem persist, please contact Oracle Support by logging a TAR to further diagnose and help resolve this issue.

  • Maintaining OAS cartridge state

    I'm not sure this forum is the right place to post this question
    but anyway. My problem is to create OAS cartridge application
    (JWeb or PLSQL ) that uses Oracle stored PLSQL packages. Each
    time the OAS submits request to the stored procedure it seems
    PLSQL package has lost its state. That means that all packaged
    variables has been initialised. For example, consider this PLSQL
    code stored in Oracle database
    Package Test IS
    Procedure First;
    FUNCTION Second RETURN INTEGER;
    END;
    Package body Test IS
    myVar INTEGER;
    Procedure First IS
    BEGIN
    myVar := 1;
    END;
    Function Second RETURN INTEGER IS
    BEGIN
    RETURN myVar;
    END;
    END;
    Let's say that created HTML wiht a button that fires Test.First
    using either JWeb or PLSQL cartridge. After then it generates
    HTML pages with another button. Clicking on that button fires
    Test.Second functions using the same cartridge. That function is
    supposed to return 1. But each time it returned NULL instead.
    The documentation for OAS gives very confusing information about
    that. It states that it is possible bind clients to particular
    cartridge instance by enabling client sessions. Doing that
    doesn't solve above mentioned problem. Using cookies will not
    help as well because I cannot store structures like records,
    PLSQL tables or cursors this way.

    Andrei,
    Here is a response from someone in the OAS team. Hope this
    helps...
    What you need is access to the same database session for all
    the requests
    from the same client. The session feature of OAS does guarantee
    you access to the
    same cartridge instance, but it's upto the cartridge instance
    whether to maintain
    the database session as part of the instance state or not.
    You can certainly achieve this by JWeb cartridge by storing the
    database session
    handle as part of the instance state. As far as PL/SQl cartridge
    is concerned, this
    is not possible until OAS 4.0.8 which has this new feature.

  • Comunication betwen agent--instance lost??

    Hi I have installed grid control 11g, in the principal page appear the instance of database DOWN, but in the page of this I see the following:
    Database Instance
    State: Open (all fine)
    Listener
    State: Activo (all fine)
    Conexion between Agent and Instance
    State: Fail
    Detail: ORA-28000: the account is locked ( DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin).
    when I go to the physical host, the database and listener all are UP and whith any client I can connect to the dataabse.
    Why the grid control status show DOWN???
    Thanks any reply

    The account is locked, this means it can not be used by the agent to connent to the monitored instance (database).
    Check if the account dbsnmp is locked and if so unlock it.

  • Deployment to Azure Cloud instance is rolled back

    Hi,
    I have issues concerning Azure Cloud services: It seems like Azure is rolling back or resetting my cloud instance state to the deployment state after a few weeks. Is this the correct behaviour? I will explain my scenario below:
    I have finished developing my MVC 5 application, targeted at .NET framework 4.5, with Entity Framework setup.
    I created an SQL instance and a Web instance on the Azure dashboard. Populated the SQL with the default data and tables since I disabled the automatic migration.
    I created an Azure project, and published my MVC to the Web instance.
    Because there are "release" configurations which need to be manually performed, I enabled remote desktop connection and connect to the Cloud instance to change the configurations (changing several access rights and config files value, including
    connection strings since I didn't use the Web.config transformation).
    At this point, I tested everything and it worked beautifully. I left the site along for users to test.
    After a few weeks, users were complaining that the site is down. I connected through remote desktop and found that all my configurations are rolled back! All my access rights and config changes (connection strings included) were gone. I re-configured everything
    so that everyone could resume the test. The project test ended a few days afterwards.
    Today, I decided to visit the site again to discover that it's down again. I remote desktop in and voila, the configurations are apparently rolled back again.
    So, I am wondering if this is an expected behaviour? If that is the case, how am I supposed to handle the "manual" configurations for the Azure cloud instances to ensure my application will keep running?

    Yes it is a correct behaviour and because of your step 4 which you are performing manually
    All azure cloud service role instances loose the custom changes done (like by connecting though remote desktop and installing / changing anything) once the role instances are restarted. note that role instance can restart for any reason e.g. system maintenance.
    So it is not recommended to do any customization on your role instances once you are done with deployment, If there is a necessity to have such customizations, then those should be part of your deployment package. e.g. installing softwares as  start up
    tasks or having configurations settings in the cscfg file.
    If you need to do certain changes to the appliaction configuration file after the deployment, the workaround is to have those setting in your cscfg and then override your configuration file on role start up. You can refer my blog where I have something similar.
