  • Integration of JSR-168 portlet into Portal - Complete Guide

    Hi there,
the CE 7.1 is described to be compatible with JSR-168 portlets.
Our Company has developed a JSR-168 portlet which comes as a WAR-File
which can be easily included in other application server and portals (WebShpere, Apache).
But integration in SAP Netweaver fails - I am missing a complete documentation
which describes me the necessary steps to integrate a JSR-168 portlet application
into the SAP Application Server and also how to integrate the GUI into a View of the NW portal.
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!
    Things I tried - Things I failed:
    - Imported a EAR-File into Developement Studio and tried to add it to Server
-> Message  "EAR Project: ... should have the SAP specific facet in order EAR to be built."
    - Deployement via "Deployement Tool" of Netweaver 2.0 (2004s) worked
and I was able to start app but no integration into NW portal view was possible
(Where is the deployement tool in NW 7.1 CE?!?!?)
    - I wanted to create a PAR-File by a WAR-File but dont know how?
    - I did not find any iView template which is for my portlet type.
Did anyone out there has the same probs or could help me....
    Thanks on advance,

    Hi Markus,
There is no complete guide for integration of JSR-168 portlets into a portal; however Diyan is correct.
In a nutshell, once you have deployed your portlet, you use GPAL technology in the SAP NetWeaver Portal of CE to create an iView wrapper in the PCD. All of this done by a portal content admin in the Portal Content Studio. Your deployed portet should be displayed in the "Portlets" repository within the Portal Catalog of the Portal Content Studio.
For conceptual and how-to documentation, refer to the following SAP Help Portal links:

  • Exception when deploying a JSR 286 portlet into WebLogic+WebCenter

I get the following exception when deploying a JSR 286 portlet into WebLogic:
    "<19-ene-2010 13H32' CET> <Error> <oracle.portlet.server.containerimpl.PortletApplicationImpl> <BEA-000000> <Error al procesar el archivo "/WEB-INF/portlet.xml" en la lÝnea 6 columna 68.

  • Migration of WCI portlets into JSR 286 portlets

    Hello,
We have portlets developed in struts2.0 and registered in WCI container. Now we want to move or converts those portlets into JSR 286 and then we want to register those portlets into
    Oracle WebCenter.
Question: Can we go for Oracle's PDK or JSR 286?
    Thanks.

    Hi Kevin,
Long time ago SAP promised to implement JSR 168. Nowadays, you don't find much official documentation stating SAP portal is JSR168 compliant.
SAP introduced the Federated Portal Network (Consumer and Producer portals), also with WSRP support.

  • Can I Write Portlets Using ColdFusion?

Can I write 5.04 Portlets using ColdFusion MX ? What issues would I run into?

As I mentioned before, you will need the Java EDK from Plumtree and CFMX. Extract the openfoundation.jar and edk.jar files from the Java EDK. Then add the paths to these files to your Java Class path under the CFMX Admin (Java and JVM). My class path looks something like this:
    D:\CFusionMX\cfx\java,D:\CFusionMX\lib\cfx.jar,D:\plumtree\ptedk\5.1\java\devkit\WEB-INF\lib\edk.jar,D:\plumtree\ptedk\5.1\java\devkit\WEB-INF\lib\openfoundation.jar,
With that done, you should be all set to utilize the Java EDK from within your CFMX app. Some code that I just cut from one of my examples is as follows:
    <!--- load the CommunityAccessLevel and PortletContextFactory objects ---><cfobject action="create" type="java" class="com.plumtree.remote.portlet.CommunityAccessLevel" name="CommunityAccessLevel"><cfobject action="create" type="java" class="com.plumtree.remote.portlet.PortletContextFactory" name="PortletContextFactory"><!--- get a javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest object from CFMX ---><cfset req = getPageContext().getRequest()> <!--- get a javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse object from CFMX ---><cfset res = getPageContext().getResponse()> <!--- declare portletContext object ---><cfset context = PortletContextFactory.createPortletContext(req, res)> <!--- get the portlet request ---><cfset portletReq = context.getRequest()> <!--- get the portlet user ---><cfset portletUser = context.getUser()><!--- get the current portlet ID ---><cfset portletID = portletReq.getPortletID()><!--- does the current user have admin rights to the current community? ---><cfif CommunityAccessLevel.Admin EQ portletUser.getCurrentCommunityAccessLevel()> ...
A lot of this code is out of examples on the developers site for the Java EDK. Most of it converts line by line pretty easily once you have things setup.
    Hopefully this will help.-- Jeff

  • Jsr portlets - remove title bar

How to remove title bar of a JSR portlet. (portlet.xml or weblogic.portlet.xml?). I have imported few java portlets into my portal and I want to remove the title bar. weblogic.portlet.xml file does not have any entries apart from </weblogic-portlet-app> tag..
Like for the JPF portlets we can set the refreshAction how to control the initial action for a java portlet.
    thanks

    Sorry, no.
In fact Apple put them at the top by popular demand!

  • How to integrate BW Hierarchy into Webi?

    Hi Everybody,
I need to create a report based on 0FIGL_V10_Q0001 in Webi and this query has a hierarchy and i have created the hierarchy from the designer itself. In webi, when i tried to pull 1 of the hierarchy dimension with key figure, it shows no data but if i remove the key figure i can view the information. May i know what went wrong with it or do you have a details on how to integrate BW hierarchy into Webi?
Your assistance on this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Best Regards,
    Hizam

    Hi,
    use the following link:
    https://sapmats-us.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=SOTBBWVP5VS0BRNUJFQWYL5A6L3GXGPDJ59UKUDZMA1UVE1WOQ
(should work properly in about 10 min)
    - merge the regsitry file to your BusinessObjects Server
    - Restart the Services via a restart of the Server Intelligence Agent
    - re-run the report with keyfigures
You should see 2 logfiles being created on the C:\ root folder
attach the logfiles to this message (do not copy past the content).
I assume the underlying BI query works fine.

  • Can we call a php function into coldfusion coding?????????

can we call a php function into coldfusion??
if anybody knows that let me know....

Nope, as IIS can only pass one page to one handler, so it gets passed to ColdFusion *or* PHP. The only way it would work is to have a page with an iFrame containing a PHP page, but that's not calling a PHP function from ColdFusion.
Dare I ask what it is you're trying to achieve exactly? If it's an extremely complicated function that can't possibly be rewritten, you'd probably want to wrap it up in a webservice and call it from CF.

  • Deploying a Portlet into Weblogic

    Hi Folks,
I have a basic question about deploying a portlet into weblogic.
I created a simple JSF/ADF application and used the Portlet Bridge to "Portletize" it.
When I run the application using JDev11 everything works fine, but If I try to deploy it into a standalone weblogic I got errors
    related with missing libraries.
The question is, Do I need to have Oracle Webcenter installed in this standalone weblogic server, in order to support my application deploy?
    TIA,
    Luis

    Hi Luis,
For a portletized ADF application to be deployed on webcenter, it requires even the OC4J containers to be pre-configured.
Basically, any webcenter application or the Portletized ADF applications require oracle.wsrp library to be present in the container's library.
Please check in your Weblogic container if it is present. If not, check how to Pre-Configure the weblogic container, ideally, oracle should provide an executable or some command to make it pre-configured.
I am aware of these steps to perform on Application Server 10g's Container. Oracle should have its containers pre-configured in 11g, but if they are not, you need to follow the same steps.
As far as JDeveloper iis concerned, both the Embedded OC4J as well as the in built server which is Preconfigured Server are as the name suggests pre-configured. Hence, everything works fine when you run from JDev. But same is not the case with Contianers in server. So, we need to explicitly make them pre-confgired to start running these Portletized ADF Applications.
    Hope this answer helps you.

    Kunal Chheda.

  • Integrate web dynpro into WEB UI

    Hi,
I have a problem with integrating wd4a application into web ui.
When I set up url of the wd4a application (absolute url) as logical link, everything went ok in dev system.
But after transport to test system, application was not reachable, because absolute url linked to dev.
The second attemp was to set up the logical link to BSP application, which called absolute url to wd4a application using <bsp:call> statement in view. The problem is that this statement didnt work at all and it doesnt matter if there link to my application or to google.com.
do you have any idea how to solve this?
    thanks
    Juraj

    Hi,
    I know this method,
but problem is that I used absolute link in WEB UI customizing, tx CRMC_IC_LTX_URLS ... in case I could create my own link, everything is ok
my problem is that I dont know how to define link in this tx with relative url
or I can be solved in way that I somehow integrate web dynpro into BSP application and then set up URL in tx CRMC_IC_LTX_URLS for the BSP.
the only problem is I dont kobw how to do this
    thanks
    Juraj
