Integrating new SAP systems into GRC 10

I already have one landscape configured into GRC AC 10 and running successfully. As this was done by vendor, now I would like to add different landscapes exisiting in our company into GRC 10 to take the full advantage of AC 10.
I do not have the total step by step guide to do it, so i wish to know if anyone can briefly suggest the instructions on how to achicve tihs.
I remember the following steps to be done:
1. Adding rfc connections in sm59 in both target and host systems.
2. Adding connector and configuration settings in SPRO.
3. Can we use the existing MSMP and BRF+ workflows for new systems?
Please suggest more steps required to configure the new systems.

This can be quite involved and it is unlikely that you'll get everything that you need on this forum as it will vary considerably depending on your existing blueprint and requirements.
If you want to add multiple more landscapes, then you are correct in that you'll need to create RFCs and then perform the additional SPRO configuratiion as appropriate. However, take great care around your management of the connector groups and managing the transports around connector settings.
In answer to your workflow question, it depends whether you have workflow which is dependent on the system or connector. If connector is not important in the workflow derevation, then it should work fine for additional systems. If there is an element which is dependent on the system, then you'll have to augment the rules to identify the new ones in the configuration.
I would look at the scope of work and work out what you actually want to do then make a decision about whether you need to engage some additional assistance (either from your previous supplier or a new supplier) or whether you wish to upskill your own people to support it. I would have thought that some administrator training would have been provided though by your existing supplier?

I am using the tcode SXDA. The next step as explained in the SAP R/3 documentation is Processing a file with spreadsheets. It done as follows:
Import the file using a spreadsheet program and set the columns to the data format Text.
Edit the file using the spreadsheet. You can enter your data manually or copy it from another spreadsheet file.
When you have finished editing the file, save it with the extension "txt".
But I am not able to figure out how to do that. If anyone knows, please explain little bit in more detail like how can I import the file using a spreadsheet program.

GuiXT: Recently we have added new SAP system EIQ

Our client is using GuiXT since long time. Recently my firm started
taking care of GuiXT operations. Recently we have added new SAP system EIQ. GuiXT is not working on the new system. It is working fine with other existing SAP system EIT and EIK. Please let me know what all GuiXT related settings need to be done on the new server.

You need an additional key for the new system, which Synactive will provide as part of your client contract. Once you have the new key configured in the guixt ini file, everything should work as desired.

Importing new business systems into Integration Directory PI 7.1

Team SDN,
Team We have presently upgraded to PI 7.1(inline upgrade XI 3.0 was the older version). There are some changes like Import of software component version from SLD to ESR. intially we use to do in Xi 3.0 by selcting tools and import, but now we have to do different manner like going to ESR click on new and under work areas we have SCV. Do we have any new procedure fro importing business system into integration directory PI 7.1.
Please share with members if wht are the new changes in PI 7.1 work proceses like the one i mentioned above importing SCV(please don't start ESR and blah blah) any real issues wht we will encounter in termsof PI 7.1

If you want to create a communication component for a business system from the System Landscape Directory (SLD), choose the Business System menu option.In the wizard, select a business system from the SLD and create a communication component for it in the Integration Directory.

Integrate GRC 10.1 with CUA and how to import roles from CUA & Child systems into GRC for provisioning

Hello,
I am trying to integrate CUA into our GRC 10.1 system through the below steps and so far I have completed the below steps following SAP Notes 1680108 and 1616121:
1. Connected CUABOX to GRCBOX like a plug-in system.
2. Updated CUA Global System and CUA Model Distribution in Maintain CUA settings under User Provisioning.
3. Next I am trying to import the roles from CUA(CUABOX) into GRC(GRCBOX) to be able to provision roles in CUA Child Systems(ECCBOX).
After reading few discussions in SCN, I have figured that we have to download a template in Role Import and populate it accordingly to upload the CUA child system roles into GRC system for provisioning in CUA Child Systems.
Unfortunately, this template has multiple fields and I am unable to determine the fields that should be populated as CUA Global System and CUA Child System to import into GRC. Also, when we upload CUA Child System Roles template what selections should be made in Role Import window.
Any help in this regard is very helpful.

I have "Create user if does not exist" setting checked for both change action and assign role action and also have CUA enabled. Here is the list of steps that I am performing:
1. Create an access request for new account, T-CUA_CHILD and select a role from a child system ECC Z_ECC_ROLE_IN_CHILD_SYSTEM.
2. Approvals provided to assign the ECC role.
3. I see the following in GRFNMW_DBGMONITOR_WD.
           Auto provisioning activity at end of request at Path GRAC_DEFAULT_PATH and Stage              GRAC_SECURITY
               New User:T-CUA_CHILD created in System(s): ECC (created without role assignments)
               T-CUA_CHILD User does not exist in target system CUA
GRC created an account without role assignment in ECC but also throwed me an error that the user does not exist in CUA.
However, if I select roles from both CUA and ECC it creates the account in both systems with the selected role assignments.
So I am wondering if there is way to provide CUA access to users by default for new account requests types. I have tried setting up default roles for CUA but it does not assign the roles by default until I select the CUA system.

The necessary java code to achieve this needs to be put in the file: includes/bodyStart.jsp above the line that creates the navigation bar:

Help File to Be Integrated with Sap System

Please get me how to integrate the help file[ERP 2004 help ] with SAP System. I M Not able to get the help from the system the error it throw is no document available i want the help of .chm file so is there any way to integrate that file with SAP system so that we can cget help from sap system itself

you can place (install) the help files on any machine you want, at least it has a web server on it.
you can then specify the "Server Name" and "Path" in SR13 to this server (e.g. Server Name = mywebserver.mycompany.com:1080, Path = helpdata)
the clients open the associated program to the extension of the files (in case of .chm and .html it would be most likely the Internet Explorer)

Access data from 2 SAP systems into WebDynpro..Please guide :)

Is is possible to access/retrieve data from 2 seperate SAP systems in Web Dynpro?
To ellaborate more:
Under normal situation - We create a Model using which you can access the required BAPI/RFC and using the JCo this connection is complete.
So, in the SLD there is one JCo connection/object for this model.
Now as per my quesry, I want to access data from 2 systems... like CRM & R/3.
So how can I do this:
1. Create 2 seperate model objects and then do Model Context Mapping. If this is rite, then I will have to create 2 JCo connections in SLD.
2. Is is possibe that under one model (example this model is accessing R/3), I need to access data from CRM without creatiing another model. So that are the possiblities? Secondly is this way/path recommended?If no, how should I proceed.

Ritu,
There is no way you can create single model for 2 different R/3 systems (unless SAP decides to implement this in later versions).
If you still want to stick with a single model approach, I would suggest to use Webservice model where the R/3 interaction part would be taken care by WebService.

Huge Problem: How to get Information out of the SAP System into MySQL?

Im totally despaired... So im comming here, hoping to find ANY solution.
I wrote a Program, which creates a internal Table wich some information from many DDIC-Tables. The internal Table is about 7 Columns, with only char fields.
Also I have a MySQL Server (reached through the Internet), with a database on it, and a table, which looks 1:1 as my internal Table in ABAP does.
Now I want to append the Data from the internal Table to the MySQL Table.
Is there ANY chance of getting this done?
and btw. can I append this Data with a secured connection?

Think of Orchestrator as a "router", that will route information and workflows between SCOM, and [insert 3rd party product here]. Depending on your 3rd party product, there may be an "integration pack" for it that Orchestrator can use for out of the
box tasks.
So what's an integration pack? Well - think of it like a management pack, but for Orchestrator. SCOM does monitoring, but it doesn't know how to monitor something unless you install the relevant management pack. The management pack contains
all the rules/monitors for monitoring whatever it is you wish to monitor.
Well, an integration pack is similar in concept, except it tells Orchestrator how to interface and integrate with whatever it is you're trying to perform tasks with.
For what you want to do, there is a SCOM integration pack. This is a set of tasks that can get alerts and events out of Operations Manager (there are also tasks that can create and close alerts in Operations Manager).
From what I can imagine - you would want to get alerts out of SCOM when they happen (so you would use one of the SCOM orchestrator tasks to "get alert if status = new, and source = myapplication"), and then you can pass that alert to another task - such
as write it to a CSV file or something. You could then have another task that picks up that CSV file, and passes it to your application where it can be captured. Or you could use the CSV to populate variables in a powershell script, and then powershell
that information into your app.
There are many ways you could do this, but I do believe that Orchestrator would be the better option.

Material master upload to new SAP system

Hi,
Please help me to decide the procedure on migrating material master from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0.
One of my idea is to use LSMW and other is to use ALE.
I am expecting many changes in the current material master, so using standard ALE BD10 is difficult. Example: ECC5.0 material type "ABC" would be "XYZ". (XYZ and ABC are of same material type, example: FERT). I choose to have different material number in new system. Like that there are few more changes.
What are all the best methods to extract the data from ECC5.0? I was checking the program RMDATGEN to download the data, but it is not readable. I can prepare a file format and map the columns in ECC6.0 LSMW. Since both the systems are SAP, I am thinking why to prepare a seperate input file format? Again I need to download the data from ECC5.0 for that format. Is there a simple to download and upload the data? Please let me know.

Output mode: Collect Idocs and Do not start subsystem
This collection writes the idocs to a file.
This file can then be found in SAP file system with transaction AL11.
a clever basis guy can then move it from there to your network.

now when i do the Connection Test
i m getting the following error

Installing new sap system

we have a 2 system landscape.the disk space left on dev is only 28gb. and the production size is 230 gb or something .we want to refresh the production system on the dev server atleast once a month.so is it advisable to upgrade the hardware of dev server (if so how?) or is it better to install a quality system and refresh the production on quality (how to install the quality server what are the requirements what are the things to be considered?) it like converting the 2 system landscape to three system landscape.plz give me related note numbers or links to study or provide me some documents.any information will be helpful

-> how you refresh DEV server from Production server? with client export/import or system refresh with DB copy?
Space on DEV server is low so you can add new HDD on DEV server eaisly.

converting the 2 system landscape to three system landscape
-> if you want to install new QAS server then you can perform homogeneous system copy from PRD to QAS
so no need to refresh QAS client ( i.e same as PRD )
check 151603 :Copying an SQL Server database (homogeneous system copy)
also check 551915 - R/3 won't start after database restore or database copy
then configure STMS again for three system landscape.
