Importing new business systems into Integration Directory PI 7.1

Team SDN,
Team We have presently upgraded to PI 7.1(inline upgrade XI 3.0 was the older version). There are some changes like Import of software component version from SLD to ESR. intially we use to do in Xi 3.0 by selcting tools and import, but now we have to do different manner like going to ESR click on new and under work areas we have SCV. Do we have any new procedure fro importing business system into integration directory PI 7.1.
Please share with members if wht are the new changes in PI 7.1 work proceses like the one i mentioned above importing SCV(please don't start ESR and blah blah) any real issues wht we will encounter in termsof PI 7.1

Hi Madhu,
If you want to create a communication component for a business system from the System Landscape Directory (SLD), choose the Business System menu option.In the wizard, select a business system from the SLD and create a communication component for it in the Integration Directory.

Not able to import business system in Integration Directory

Dear all,
Currently i involved in XI system copy. As per the standard documetn i have finsihed the initial activites like EXPORT and import of abap and java files is succedded.
Now in the post instalaltion activites.
I have changed the exchange profile parameter
SLD connection.
And other post installation activites succesfully.
But I am not able to import the business system in Integration director. It throws an error by mentioning.
*Access to object list of type business system using the internalEOA service business system accessor failed *
Here we are maintaing a central SLD and hence i created the service users with specific roles.
SLDcheck is working fine and it dispalying the businees system as well.
I confirmed that the user and password are same in XI and SLD system,
But in SLD I am not able to see the domain under web as Exchagne Infrastructure alonng with the componets. I have tried to registerd the same using the note 761476 but in vain. After the changes i restarted the machin and checked the domain status in SLD technical system under exchagne Inffrastructure its not working.
Is this the problem or am i missing out somewhere?
FYI: The users are not locked.
Kindly suggest me and it will be greatful if i get immediate reply.

Hi Vijay,
It looks like the problem is with the SLD.
Did you delete the SAP ABAP and Java technical system and business systems and recreate them in the central SLD? If this was the case, then you may not be able to import them into your integration directory anymore, as the GUID of the new technical systems and business systems are not the same with the previous one.
Why not tried to recopy the SLD again, and this time do not change the technical and business systems. If the reregistration of these systems are not avoidable, then you will have to open up the copied IR for configuration.

Business Service (vs) Business System in Integration Directory.

I want to know the best practice for using Business Service and Business System, Then
When we should go for Business Service instead of Business System in Integration directory? Can any one give me suggestion for me .

Its purely used in the Cross Company Process, i.e. whenever you are communicating with external system.

No business system in integration directory error...urgent pl

Scenario: SAP800 to SAP812 via XI3.0 Using Idocs and IDoc adopter.
When I create a business system for SAP800 and SAP812 in integration Directory, it is not visble in the Integration server where I configured the Idoc adopter and thus the Idoc_inbound_asychronous is throwing a error back to SAP800" No service for business system SAP800 in integration Directory".
What may be the problem? And Pl help in Debugging the creation of business system in Integration Directory...

Hi,
make sure that the logical system names are properly assigened to the business systems in the Directory. To to so double click one of your Business Systems and select the menu entry "Adapterspecific Identifiers".
If the logical system name is not maintained here, make sure that it is so in the SLD (check the clients of your technical system in the SLD).
Maintain them, if necessary, clear the SLD Cache in the Directory (Menu: Environment->Clear SLD..), go to the Adapterspecific Identifiers (in edit mode) and click the second button to load the data from the SLD.

Assign Business System in Integration Directory

Hi all,
i have basic question.
in my ID, there are some configuration scenarios.
for example, the left side look like,
in case,one of Business System created on SLD was assigned to one of configuration scenarios,
i would need to assign same business system into Business System in Service Without Party in another configuration scenarios, it was not possible to assign.
can i assign BS1 to several configuration scenarios?
or should i create Main scenario in order to define communication channel?

Yes, you can assign the same business system to different configuration scenarios.
to do this there are 2 ways.
1. Open the cofiguration scenario to which the business system has already been assigned.
Right Click on the Business System> Add to Scenario> Select the scenario to which you want to
assign your business system.
2. Select the objects tab>service without party> business system> your business system> right click-->
assign to scenario and then select your scenario.

Cannot see business system in integration directory.

Hi all,
I am trying to configure a simple file to idoc scenario (from the starter pack) . I have created a third party technical system and assigned it to a business system.
I have configured the scenario as given in the exercise scenario in the integration repository.
In the Integration directory, i create a new configuration scenario . Now i go into the service without party , and try to assign a business system . However, here , in the list of business systems available from the SLD, i cannot see my business system . Could anybody help me find out why this is happening ?
p.s. while creating the technical system , i have given 'localhost' as host, since i didnt know what to give here and thats what most other technical systems in the SLD contained. could this be the problem ?

Error while assigning Business Systems in Integration Directory

Hi,
I'm getting an error when trying to assign the business systems in the integration directory.
The error i'm getting exactly is "access to object list of type BusinessSystem using the internalEOAService BusinesSystemAccessor failed " .
I've cleared the SLD_cache and checked it but the same error.
The business systems are appearing when i tried the transaction code SLD_CHECK and is in green status.
what might be the error.

also make sure that user has sufficient authorizations

How to add buisness system in Integration directory -objects

Hi All,
I created the technical systems and buisness systems. then in the integration directory, i want to check whether my business system exixts are not.
so in the integration directory,
objects--->service without party >buisness system>
in the buisness system , whatever buisness system i created the is not found.
how to add buisness system into integration directory -- objects.

Hi,
go to integration directory,
objects--->service without party >buisness system>
select the BS -> Right click the BS -> it show the number of BS select your business system and assign them next save.
If the your business system if it's not appear go to Environment menu -> Clear SLD Data cahce.
and do the same process again..

I have problem to add business system into Business Systems list in my scenarion in the Integration Directory. These systems are already in the SLD, but when I try to assign a business system, I have only choice to assign XI...
How to solve this problem?

maybe your business systems are already inside ID?
BTW
did you assign you business system to a correct
integration server? (when definig the business system)
also remember to refresh SLD data cache from ID
- environment
- clear SLD data cache

if i add new business system to my existing landscape and i want to import to my ID, will it effect my existing scenarios which are already running.

Hi,
1.create a scenario,
2.Right click on Busyness system adn click assain busyness system.
3.It will show a wizard hear click u r Created Busyness System in SLD and uncheck automatically genarated cc
4.Click Finish.
By follow this steps a Busyness system in ID created from SLD..
It will not effect by adding another busyness system...

Unable to create New Business System

Hi
I Installed XI 3.0 and configuring as per the configuration guide.
When I try to create Business System (SLD) I get the following error message.
"Integration Server already defined There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System."
Steps:
Logon on to SLD
Click on New Business System
Name: XID and click on Next
Technical System Type: Web AS for ABAP
Select System: XID on Hostname   and select Client
Installed products: Choose all and click Nextt
Integration Server:
Business System Role: Integration Server
Pipeline url: http://HOST:PORT/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute
Initially I created Business System with wrong Name (P01) . I deleted it and try to recreate with new name (XID) I get the above error.
How to create a Business system and assign the role of Integration Server?

Hi RG,
      Once we had   same error ,due to some reason business system with role integration server deleted.
       It has been resolved by deleting XI technical system and recreating same after that it allows to define new bussiness system with role as integration server .

CIM_ERR_FAILED: while importing the Business System in quality sytem

Hi Experts,
I got error while importing the SLD (Business system) from Devolopement system to quality system.
Business system is third party system.
note i created business systemaaa(third party) using the quality system integration server and assign this to as target in the dev business system in transport tab.
like i have Business system in DEV like this : BS_DEV(integration server is DEV) ( using this i was devloped the objects using this business system the like Communication channel,RD,ID,RA etc.)
i was created another business system:BS_QA(integration server is QA)
the transport tab of the BS_DEV i puted the BS_QA as target.
i used same technical systems,product,SWCV for the both Business systems
but while importing the BS_QA i got the following error:
CIM_ERR_FAILED: Instance referenced in role Antecedent of association SAP_BusinessSystemPath does not exist:
BS_DEV not imported in quality is this is cause for this problem ?
which one i need to import either BS_DEV or BS_QA to quality?

Hi,
Check if CIM content versions are same in DEV and QA.If there is any version difference you might need to update CIM content if there is any inconsistencies in CIM content there are chances to get such kind of errors.

However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.

you dont convert business system name in XML format,
do you want to use ur business system name in message mapping?if yes,then use the following UDF code to get BS name in message mapping

Assign new Business System in ID

Hello,
i need using a new business system because my interface can be executing in two clients.
i have a new business system in SLD with a technical system (three party) exits.
however, in ID, when i go to assign this business system, it don't appear in window and i can't select
why?

Hi,
In ID, go to Environment --> Clear SLD Cache and say OK.
Now again try assigning the business system, it should be there.
