Integrating Purchasing & Inventory to another application
hello all,
we need to integrate an application to Oracle Purchasing and Inventory.
The application should be able to insert/update new inventory items in Oracle.
Receive Purchase orders from Oracle
Information like:
PO number
PO amount
PO Date
Requisition number
Vendor code
ITEM code
Quantity ordered
Unit cost
will be needed in the interface.
what are the proper interface tables in oracle?
How can we not import all the records; i.e we don not want to import all purchase orders information to the application.

Please refer Oracle Purchasing user guide. Check out information on "Purchasing Documents Open Interface" and "Receiving Open Interface". This has information on the interface tables involved and the means of importing details. Are you also looking at setting up an outbound interface from Apps to your module ? If yes, you can look at XML Gateway as an option, amongst others.

Error "Your camera is in use by another application"-no other apps running
I just purchased a brand new iSight. I connected it to my G5 but when I start up iChat and click on the green video camera icon at the top right, I get a new window that just says "your camera is in use by another application". I don't have other applications running. When I click on the preferences button at the bottom of that window I get another new window with some options for microphone and bandwidth limit. The iSight is not even an option for microphone.
I tryed the iSight on a MacBook Pro and a iBook, it works perfect on both so I don't think there is anything wrong with the iSight.
A few months ago I tryed to run a mac compatible logitech camera on the G5 but couldn't get iChat to recognize that camera either. I wonder if did something that is coming back to haunt me.
I downloaded the latest updates for my iChat, tried all the basic stuff like removing the logitech software and restarting the computer...I am running out of ideas...Help, please. How do I figure out which app is "using" the iSight?Hi Puppymac,

1) Try the Combo update

Error: Burner is in use by another application
Hi everyone!
I just tried to burn a CD for the first time in a while and receive an error stating that the "burner is in use by another application." I have no other applications running at this time and am running iTunes 11.01.
Is there something that I am doing wrong or can anyone help?

I asked the question as in the Toast setup there is a dialog if you want to use Toast as your default burning program. If chosen it could possibly stop iTunes from burning. I am not sure if that is 100% correct but was offering ideas of where to look. Your update to 7.7.1 as you noted has cured the problem.

SameerThe WAP54G's repeater mode essentially sets up the 2nd access point as an extender of the main (root) access point. Since you will be extending the signal, you will need to configure the same wireless settings on both devices. SSIDs, channels, security settings need to be identical. Do set a STATIC IP address for your APs. If your network allows you to use the default IP (192.168.1.245) of the AP, you may set the 2nd unit to have an IP address like 192.168.1.246. The APs need to be in the same network.
An essential step in setting up the AP to repeater mode is indicating the main AP's wireless MAC address. This will register the main device to the second AP and will get them to communicate. To get this info, you need to:
1. Login to the main AP's setup page.
2. Go to Status.
3. Click on the Wireless subtab.
4. Retrieve the MAC address indicated.
Register this info unto the 2nd AP and Save Settings. You may need to reboot the devices to get the connection going. Once the devices are in sync, the client devices should be getting IP addresses assigned by the DHCP server (your DSL modem). To confirm that your setup is operational, you should be able to roam on the network in a location you would not have network access to without the AP on wireless repeater mode. -
I am trying to download responses as an excel spreadsheet but get a message that Adobe cannot save the file. A suggested problem is that the file may be open in another application but I have nothing else open. Any suggestions?
RobbieInDesign cannot open a PDF natively. You can Place pages from the PDF as linked images, or you can purchase a commercial plugin from Recosoft or Markzware that will convert PDF to InDesign.

I am incharge of a integration project between EBS 11.5.10.2 and CRM On Demand via web services
1. Assumptions:
Not to use additional architecture (Ex. Fusion Middleware)
2. One of the requirements is: From CRM On Demand to invoke a EBS web service to see and update item´s stock.
3. Advances
We already developed EBS web services to see and update Item´s Stocks
We need to consume the EBS Web service developed directly from CRM on Demand, but we haven´t found a way.
In CRM On Demand Panel Administration there is a section for web service integration but just for exposing CRM On Demand objects and functionalities, but not for consuming another application´s web service.
Mean while we are developing a web service client (web application) to consume EBS web service just for demonstrating its functionality to see and update EBS item stock.
I will appreciate your help!!!

I got a new computer and all applications were transferred from the old one. However, when I tried launching Acrobat 8 Professional, I get a message that says: "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot be opened at this time and I need to launch another application in the suite e.g.Photoshop" which is already launched. Is there some help around this?
It appears that you have the CS. What new OS do you have. If it is Win 8.1, you may have to purchase a new version of Acrobat for that system. Folks have succeeded with AA 8.1 on Win 7, but I have not heard of any successful installs on Win 8.1. As for the issue you have with the new OS, you do have to follow the CS install process that is different than the stand-alone Acrobat (there are some posts that discuss the process if you search).

Web cam wont start message says in use by another application
Hello I have recently purchased the Creative LIve!Cam Optia and for some reason the person I am talking to can't see me but I can see them just fine. Every time I go to call someone on Skype I plug in my camera and when the person answers a message pops up in the call tab saying "video error cannot find video source , check to see if it is in use by another application". I have no idea what other application could be using it because I ended up installing most of what came on the installation Cd. I have tried everything from selecting tools on skype then hit options, then I clicked on video settings, then I selected Li've!Cam Optia as my web cam as opposed to selecting default web cam. Then the same message pops up again " Skype did not find preferred video source. Webcam could be in use by another application". The thing that really frustrates me is that sometimes it works perfectly find then it freezes and I try to restart the video and then I loose it completely! PLease help someone I have returned camera prior to this one I don't want to have to do it again for this one. Thank you.
Two choices left - download iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - and use its rebuild command - this will rebuild yoru library leaving the original untouched so you can go back to it is things do not make yo happy - this will keep your edits, metadata and events but will not keep projects
If that does not work Right click on the iPhoto library and show package contents - look in the masters folder - are your original photos there? If so (and if you have adaquate disk space) duplicate the masters folder and rename the iPhoto library "iPhoto library old" - depress the option key and launch iPhoto ancd create a new library - drag the masters folder to the iPhoto icon in the Dock to import your original photos with your events
This will give you a new library with your originals - edits, projects and metadata changes will not be available
And critically start Time Machine up and leave it running

Help! I don't know what to do to be able to disconnect my new ipod nano from itunes. I am not a sophisticated technology individual. I don't want to cause damage to my computer or my new ipod. Can you please tell me what I need to do in order to be able to disconnect my ipod? Our family actually purchased 3 ipods and the other two did not have this problem at all (they are all set up under separate user names and have different music associated with them). Every time I click on the icon to disconnect this ipod it appears as though I can disconnect it for a few seconds and then the message "the ipod cannot be ejected becuase it contains files that are in use by another application". I really appreciate any help you can provide!

I would first try to quit iTunes. See if you can eject the iPod from My Computer. Or, try to eject the iPod the way you would disconnect another device such as a digital camera.
Try restarting your computer. Restarting quits all applications - so maybe this will help close the application that is using the iPod.
If you have any type of antivirus software, this could be trying to use or scan the iPod. However, I am not too sure about that.

If you have ever received a message from iTunes saying that, "iTunes cannot update iPod because it contains files that are in use by another application," then take a look at this thread because I have had many problems with this and discovered a solution that most likely will work. Ok, lets begin:
1. Updating/Restoring does not work. If you have this problem and get the above message continue reading.
2. Plug your iPod into your USB port. Allow iTunes to load and recognize the iPod. It shall update itself automatically.
3. When iTunes is finished, go to the "Start Menu."
4. Open "My Computer"
5. On the main screen, scroll to "Devices with Removable Storage." Click on your iPod.
6. After clicking on the iPod, go to the left-side bar and under "System Tasks," click "Eject this disk."
7. Once this is done, return to iTunes and click "Update."
8. It should come up with a message saying something like, "Updating (Name of iPod) iPod."
Congratulations, you have just solved your problem! Good luck enjoying the wonderful updates that iTunes has to offer.

Dell Demension 8400 Windows XP 4GB iPod Nano Second Generation BlueI am experiencing the same message when I try and sync either my or my wife's iPod on my Mac. I simply acknowledge it and everything seems to work fine but I wonder what's going on. I used to have problems dismounting my iPod but that seems to have gone away with iTunes 7.
Any thoughts for us Mac guys?

Lightroom 4.3 Problem - Another Application Is Using Catalog
I recently moved all my photos and my Lightroom 4.3 Catalog onto a Drobo Mini so that I can use it easily with my MacBook Pro Laptop and my Mac Pro Desktop. Everything has been working fine for a few weeks but now I'm having a problem. When I try to open Lightroom it says it can't open my Catalog because it is being used by another application. I can't find any other application that is using the Catalog and I have shut down both computers and restarted, but still getting the same message??? Any advice on how to free up my Catalog would be greatly appreciated.

I will answer your questions as best I can. About a month ago, I purchased a new MacBook Pro laptop and a Drobo Mini. I copied all my images (about 40,000) on to the Drobo Mini and also created a Drobo Mini Lightroom Catalog on the Drobo Mini and imported all the images into that catalog. Everything worked fine and I could move the Drobo Mini from the MacPro Desktop to the MacBook Pro Laptop without any problems. I use the Thunderbolt cable to connect to the laptop and a USB cable to connect to the Desktop. In the past I made sure only one cable was connected to the Drobo Mini depending upon which computer I was connecting to. A couple of days ago I believe I didn't disconnect the USB cable and didn't shut down the Drobo and just connected it to the laptop. That is when the problems began. Initially I couldn't open Lightoom from either computer connected to the Drobo. It appeared I had somehow corrupted the Drobo and I tried to use my Disk Utility on the MacBook Pro Laptop to repair it but it wasn't able to do so. I contacted Drobo support and they advised me to purchase Disk Warrior which I did and it fixed the issue with the Drobo files. Then I was able to look at the Drobo Mini and as Web Weaver suggested, there was a LR lock file on the Drobo. I moved it to the trash and I replaced the original catalog with the most recent backup, and then I was able to open Lightroom on the Desktop and everything appeared okay. Then I went over to the laptop, and the messages above about permissions showed up and I couldn't open the catalog. Rather than go back to the desktop and see if it is okay, I'm thinking first I'd like to solve the problem on the laptop if possible. I don't know how to fix the folder permissions???

in my purchase history only shows the purchase of 1 application ( toolbars kits ) 0.99$ on the date 06 /01/2012 ,and my first time in itunes is charging me 0.99 on the date 05/ 01/ 2012 , total 1.98$ carged in my itunes account, but my credit card, it shows another unknown to the itunes charge for an amount of 0.99 on the date 10/ 01 /2012 , and the third charge is not reflected in the history of iTunes system,that particular day I did not do any buying and other applications, the application of kits toolbar does not work as it should, but it is of more importance, for no reason of charging my credit card $ 0.99, hope ur company fixed this sooner thanks...oh other thing... i dont think someone hack my credit card, because i have the receipt of the third charged for itunes for amount : 0.99$ which i do not know thats this payment

I have deployed 2 different web application on IIS 7.5 running on Windows Server 2008 R2 but on different port numbers i.e. one application deployed on port no. 1776 and another on 8091. I want to rewrite URL in such a way that if i hit any page of first
application such as default.aspx then it will be redirected to particular page of another application along with some changes in url.
Example: if i access any page from first application like:
http://g2wv126rbsc:1776/sites/main/commercial/commercial-solutions/financing/default1.aspx
then it should redirect to specific page of another application along with some changes in url:
http://g2wv126rbsc:8091/main/commercial/commercial-solutions/financing/default2.aspx
Note: In above mentioned url, also removed "sites".
I tried to create a inbound rule through URL Rewrite module (installed on IIS 7.5) by selecting Action as "Rewrite" but didn't find any success.
I need some examples if anyone has come across same kind of issue.

How do you get rid of files which you downloaded but they will not show you their location?
I have downloaded a file from the internet and i can find it when i look under "mpg.download" but the finder will not actually show me the location of the file so I can manually remove it. I suspect it is a viral file which will cause some problems.
