Integration Call Manager with Microsoft's tools

Hello,
My costumer has call-manager 5.1 and Cisco Unity 5.0 (voice e-mail only) working perfectly on his company.
Besides, he has Microsoft Outlook 2007 and MS-Office Communicator with presence server.
He wants to use MS's tools integrated with Cisco call-manager.
Ex
Listen to voice e-mails directly on Outlook 2007 and on UNITY.
Use office communicator (presence) according to the status of user's phone; also implementing functions like "click-to-dial".
Is there any kind of software or license that I should get from Cisco to implement these functions?

Please I need help.

Integration of ChaRM with third party tools

Hi all,
We are in the process of building the solution for Change Request Management implementation integrated with third party tool.
As the normal process for ChaRM is to work with the Service Desk functionality (to raise a ticket, then support message, change request, change document etc...), but what we need is create the change request, and change document directly with ChaRM without using the Service Desk functionality.
Did anybody come across this situation?
Please share your experience.

Hi Balaji,
there is no problem, as I understand, you want to use ChaRM without Service Desk. OK, than you create directly a Change Request in CRMD_ORDER, the transaction type you have to select is SDCR (standard transaction type), you have to approve it and then you can create a change document, it is not necessary that you start with a Service Desk ticket like SLFN.
You need configured TMS a SolMan Project with a Maintenance Cycle, thats it (but this is enough , don't forget the customizing).

Integration Solution manager with R/3

Hi,
We are looking for possibilities to implement Solution manager as a replacement for our current notification system.
Is there any possibility in Solution manager to communicatie with objects in R/3?
What we want is to post hours in Solution manager on notifications/incidents/service request (or whatever you call it) with a direct link to an Order or Project in R/3? Is this possible?

its seems what you are talkng about is change management and moreover integration with service desk
what happens?
a problem occurs in R/3 for e.g with a report or alv output needs to be modified...end userr raises ticket in R/3
a servic desk ticket created in solman
now the help or support team raises a change request and then a change developer log from solman to r/3 dev environ to work
and later on with solman change management workflow it goes till PRD where end user test

Skype click to call interferes with Microsoft Offi...

Skype click to call interferes with copy/cut-paste in Excel and generally in Microsoft Office. Once installed it allows text-only pasting leading to time-loss in reformatting text. The problem is easily resolved by unistalling it.
Here are some proposed steps to improve it -
It needs better bug-testing before release
It needs to move away from piggy-backing on Skype (without asking user's permission to install/ update itself) and instead needs to be launched separately. This would also solve the iddue (for Skype) of people abandoning and uninstalling SKype altogether because of the buggy Skype click to call thing
Respect the user and the user's choice - and finally never ever take your user for granted (as the auto installation of Skype click to call has demonstrated)

Me too! I thought it was a Google Chrome problem. I even rebuilt my laptop over it and spent a whole day on the phone with Geeksquad! I just uninstalled Click-to-call and now the problem is gone.
This is a really big deal, people use copy/paste all the time and expect the formatting to work. I'm telling everybody to uninstall click-to-call and/or don't install it in the first place. I hope somebody gets serious and fixes it. And, Skype will have to acknowledge the problem and tell me it is fixed before I will give click-to-call another shot.
Not trying to be a jerk - that is just the truth of it.

Download Manager with Microsoft ISA Server

Hello forum, I need help with the connection of program SAP DOWNLOAD MANAGER with ISA Server 2004
I've installed JAVA 1_4_2_13 and Download Manager, I configured the setting with the proxy connection (server ISA, user and pass)
but an error appears:
The basket content could not be read. The following exception occurred:
Unable to read data from the Service Marketplace: Check your settings and try again
In my ISA server I declared the form my IP to Internet permit all traffic out.
Somebody help me ??? what do I have to configure in my ISA Server to permit the connection?

Hi Ram, I solved the problem with download manager.
First my PC don't use as default gateway the ISA Server, I've another default gateway for my LAN.
Is it the problem because my PC never contact directly to SAP, I could solved this problem if my PC can contact directly the IP of SAP.
You will can set in your PC the gateway of ISA server and public DNS to contact SAP directly
For example:
I've default gateway 192.168.0.1 for my LAN
My ISA server to internet is 192.168.0.9
Public DNS : (My ISP) 200.0.1.1
In your ISA server you can set a policy from your PC to External for all user with all traffic permit.
You try set in your PC the following:
Default gateway: 192.168.0.9
DNS: 200.0.1.1
I hope this can resolve your problem

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for any third party reporting tools to report on configurations of cisco ucm apps such as CUCM, CUC, UCCX, CUPS, etc etc.
I'm thinking of getting something like this and want to know what my options are before i start evaluating them and I can't find very many options via google!

I am not a 100% sure what your looking for but you can do some of this with CUOM (cisco unified operations manager) and cisco unified service monitor

I was using Password Manager for hotmail account on internet explorer. It was still working even though Hotmail changed to Microsoft Live. But now, it is not. Does anyone know why ?

Integrating Identity Manager with Access Manager

We have a plain vanilla installation of Identity Manager 5.5. We are attempting to integrate Access Manager 7 (also plain vanilla install). Both were deployed into Application Server 8.1 (all running on Solaris 10 x86).
Here is what we ran into:
1) When IDM is the only application deployed in Application Server, we can log in to its administration console with the base ID of "configurator" without a problem. Next, we installed Access Manager 7 without any errors. Now when we attempt to log into the IDM administration panel (still using "configurator"), IDM can no longer find the �configurator� ID. We tried using AM to add an ID of "configurator" to the LDAP directory (figuring that was the problem), but we still cannot get into IDM. What do we need to do to "integrate" these two products? We haven't even attempted customization yet.
2) Does anyone know of ANY sample apps that show IDM and AM working together?

Do you have any template doc for this configurations, We did the same only thing that we changes is instead of using the fully qualified DNS name we used the ip address in the AMConfig.properties file.

What are the IEDriver version requirements for using Microsoft Webdriver tool with a selenium based test tool?

We are using IEDriver 2.44.0 with microsoft webdriver tool Windows7-KB2990999-x64.msu update with IE11.
Using IMPLEMENTATION=VENDOR, we are not able to get this IEDriver version working with out selenium based test tool, with or without microsoft webdriver tool.
I can see the driver IMPLEMENTATION set to VENDOR in the log, it also brings up the browser, but gets stuck there.Is this a known issue?ThanksTanvi

Call Manager 3.3 Help

I have a Cisco Call Manager 3.3 Server... I'm getting a 2600 Router with a WIC-1DSU-T1 card. Briefly tell me what else I need in terms of hardware in order to test Call Manager using Tapi programming tools, and connect to 2 dial up phone lines and my Cable Modem.
I don't know what else I need and what connects to what.

Can advanced call manager be downloaded to N series Nokia mobiles free of charge ?
This fantastic program was available within my downloads! on my E71 , and I did the download free of charge, is it the same case with N series ?

i think the advance call manager with the E71 is a trial only, and ultimately it will require a license, you can try to download from Nokia Software Market
