Integration Directory APIs in PI7.1
hi,
I am trying to read/access the content (objects) of integration directory using the APIs.
this feature is available in PI7.1.
I saw the documenation
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/46/6ef92455d66a58e10000000a11466f/content.htm]
and
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/46/6dca42e5c269dfe10000000a11466f/content.htm]
It says:
Open the external definition CommunicationPartyService in the software component version SAP BASIS 7.00 in the namespace http//sap.com/xi/XI/System
In the navigation area expand the node SAP BASIS u2192 SAP BASIS 7.00 u2192 http://sap.com/xi/XI/System u2192 External Definitions.
In my ESR, i can see the namespace http//sap.com/xi/XI/System under swcv SAP BASIS, but the external definition CommunicationPartyService is not present.
Has anyone tried accessing the ID objects thru APIs. would it be possible to access without the CommunicationPartyService external definition.
any comments appreciated.
thanks,
Ganesh

Problem in creating Receiver Agreement using Integration Directory API
Hello Experts,
We are developing a scenario where we are creating "REceiver Agreement" through Integration Directory API.
This requires certain parameters like Sender component, Interface, Communication Channel & Namespace to be set in the code.The required Communication Channel & Components already exist in Integration Directory .
Our concern is that we are not able to retreive this Communication Channel's ID through the code in order to set it as a parameter for Receiver Agreement generation.
Can anybody pls advice??
Thanks in advance,
Suraj.Hi Stefan,
We tried using query on communication channel, but could not do it as we could not get a method which accepts name of communication channel as parameter.
We used "CommunicationChannelQueryIn" related methods in the API.
But still could not retreive the Communication Channel ID of an existing Communication Channel.
Please help. -
Transport protocol version error in Integration Directory API
Hi All,
I am trying to create SOAP receiver communication channel using Java-only PI 7.31 directory APIs. I have passed all the required parameters to the CommunicationChannelIn service, but it's throwing error - "Enter at least one object key for operation 'create'".
When I tried to test the service through WS Navigator, it's giving exception - "Enter a value for attribute 'Transport Protocol Version'" which doesn't exists in case of SOAP adapter creation.
Has anybody come across this issue? If the adapter metadata does not specify any transport protocol version, then shouldn’t the validation checks in CommunicationChannelIn service provider proceed without errors on a blank value for this attribute?
Note: I have gone through all the SCN blogs, discussion threads we have on topics related to Integration Directory API.
Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions.

Integration Directory API missing object ID.
Hi,
I have just started using the ID API. I'm using C# and .Net to create a webpage to list out the configuration.
I can for example read out all settings for a communication channel, but the object ID for the channel is not included.
Does anybody know if there exist any way to get the object ID for a particular comm.channel from .Net?
Either thru the ID API, or some other standard webservice / RFC that should be available?

Interface Mapping Not Found in Integration Directory
Hey guys!
I'am getting this error in the test configuration part of the integration directory:
"Interface Mapping: <Not Found> com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException thrown during application mapping"
I don't see why I should be getting this error since I have properly defined a message and interface mapping for the receiving interface.
BTW, I get this error when I use XSLT mapping. If I point my interface mapping to a normal message mapping, I get no error. Is there anything I am missing?
Regards,
GlennThe weird thing is that when I test the the configuration in the Integration Directory, it is still looking for my old message mapping (the one i created using xi editor) even though I already replaced the referenced message mapping in the interface mapping to the XSL one.
Yes, I tested the interface mapping with the same data using the XSL mapping and there's no problem.
When I send the message though, I get an error saying "NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC" I really don't see why it should not recognize the receiver. I tried refreshing the cache but it still looks for my old mapping program...

Create folder in Integration Directory - Can not be uniquely addressed
Hi experts,
I have the following issue. When creating a folder in Integration Directory I get a warning info, like the following:
E.g. folder name should be "test"
"The folder test could not be uniquely addressed by the path /test/ because two or more folders share the same name"
I checked the repository for another folder with the same name but without success.
The point is, that I want to use the API to add objects to the folder. But without a unique address the creation will fail.
What makes this very strange is, that sometimes it works.
Is there any place in the repository where folder ids can be checked for uniqueness ?
Thanks a lot.
TimoHi Jon
On the first topic, try this.
import java.io.File;
public class MakeDir {
public static void main(String[] args) {
if (args.length != 1 || args[0] == null || args[0].trim().length() == 0) {
System.out.println("Usage: java MakeDir <folder name>");
System.exit(-1);
File f = new File(System.getProperty("user.dir") + "\\" + args[0]);
f.mkdir();

Receiver determination issue with PI Directory API
Hi Guys,
I was trying to use the PI Directory webservice API to automatically build Integration Directory Objects. I found an issue when creating Receiver Determination Object. Here are the details:
My scenario is one to many, one Interface with several receiver Parties/Business Components. so I created a Receiver Determination with one party as the receiver using regular Integration Builder Tool and I was trying to add more receiver by Directory API for the remaining receivers to the one which I manually. But I did not a way or option to add more to the receivers list, when I tried that it was simply overwriting the existing one when I used the Change Operation but when I try to use create Operation it complains that the Object already exists..
Do you have any idea what is the better way use the API to add more receivers to the list.
Thanks,
LaxmanThere is no delta changes allowed through Dir API. We had to read the RD and change with additional receivers.
Thanks,
Laxman -
How to retrieve configuration scenarios in Integration Directory?
Hi All,
I am developing a Java program to read all configuration scenarios in Integration Directory. My plan is to find SAP's Java APIs available in the NetWeaver Java stack to read the info I need. I have done lots of searches for such the APIs but still got no luck. Could you help me out?
I'm on NetWeaver PI 7.1.
Thanks,

Edited by: Viet Phan on May 13, 2011 1:11 PMHi,
The 3rd party adapters must be installed via Deploy Tool or JSPM. But u should have a sda file with the adpater content.
see here for more details on JSPM
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5006901f-925c-2910-5f98-9ae26cc07eca
Usually all these third-party developed adapters also developed pre-defined business content with mappings, but this does not mean that all the interfaces you have can use it. If you do not have any custom work, then you can automate it, but if there is custom work then you have to enhance or develop new maps.
For example, Seeburger has over 20 maps to convert EDI X12 to standard IDoc maps and vice-versa (INVOIC Idoc to 4010 etc).
http://service.sap.com/netweaver ->SAP NetWeaver in Detail -> Process Integration -> SAP Exchange Infrastructure ->SAP XI in Detail -> Connectivity.
Please reward points if it helps.

You do not need to do that. Import the BASIS and ABAP Content, and these are already included.
Why work harder than you need to
If you want to create a BPM, then follow one of the how to guides:

JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate
thanks and regards
pendyalaHi,
When you will run the above JNLP, you will get the following Web Start exception:
JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate
The reason for this is simple - one of the jar files that you are using was already signed by another party. Here is the way to find it:
jarsigner -certs -verbose -verify activation.jar
You will see a long list of certificates (one for each file). This means that this specific jar was signed by another party (Sun in our case). The solution for the problem is simple - put this jar in a separate JNLP and reference it in your main JNLP:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="https://jaxb-workshop.dev.java.net/webstart/" href="activation.jnlp">
<information>
<title>Activation</title>
<vendor>Sun Microsystems, Inc.</vendor>
<offline-allowed/>
</information>
<offline-allowed/>
<resources>
<jar href="activation.jar"/>
</resources>
<component-desc/>
</jnlp>
As you can see, we don't ask for permissions, as this specific jar doesn't need them. Then, you reference this activation.jnlp in your main JNLP:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="https://jaxb-workshop.dev.java.net/webstart/" href="wizard.jnlp">
