Integration of cfolders and cprojects with KM

Dear experts,
can anyone guide me and tell the process or cookbook material for cprojects.
My requirement is ..
1) what is cprojects and cfolders what are its benefits in organisation ?
2) How it can integrate with KM?
Thanks in advance and provide you valuable marks for gud answer.
Regards
RS

Hi RS,
1. cProjects has additional functionality over Project Systems in being web based (webdynpro) so can be accesses externally to the organisation (hence the "c" for collaboration projects). It follows a stage gate methodology and has better resource management functions that PS. cFolders is complimentary to cProjects for sharing project documentation, which is better than say using DMS in ERP.
2. cFolders can integrate to collaboration rooms on the Enterprise Portal and hence to KM. There is standard Portal content for this.
Hope this helps.

  • Can anyone explain the integration of sd and mm with fico

    Hi all,
Can anyone explain with an scenario how fico integrates with sd and mm.
    thanxs
    regds
    hari

the following organisation units are to be set up to integrate SD with FI.
    1. Sales organisation
    2. Plant
    3. Storage location (under material management)
    4. Shipping point
    5. Distribution Channel
    6. Division.
In addition u can also create sales office, sales group but it is optional.
In order to integrate, follow the following steps:
    1. Assign sales organisation to co code.
    2. Assign plant to company code.
    3. Assign distribution channel, division to sales organisation
    4. Determine sales area (it is a combination of sales organisation, distribution channel and division)
    5. Assign SO - Distribution channel - Plant
    6. Assign sales area to credit control area.
    7. Assign shipping point to plant (under logistics execution).
After defining and assigning the organisation units, u can view the properly integrated structure under Tcode EC01.
Having created the above SD organisation units, there are only a few more to create for FI-MM integration.
    1. Purchasing organisation.
    2. Valuation level ( generally plant)
    3. Location (optional and need to be created only when required by client)
    On creating the above,
    1. Assign Purchasing org to co code.
    2. Assign purchasing orgn to plant
    3. Assign business area to plant / valuation area ( in this state the business area against your plant).
    Hope this solves your query.
    Assign points if useful.

  • !  Integration of MAC and iTunes with Sonos

I got my first MAC only a few months back. Yesterday, I have installed my first Sonos Speaker System (bridge + play3) together with my IMAC and Synology NAS yesterday.
For a long time I have been ripping and storing CD’s on my NAS, made them available on my MAC via iTunes. I am being used to work with iTunes, from my experience today this my reference in easy usability of large number of CDs.
iTunes very easily allows to correct or add missing information to a CD. Once completed, it is very easy for the user to browse through his music. The great user experience is complemented by the very good features that iTunes offers to sort the music (title, albums, interprets, genres..).
Now, when I uploaded the library into my new Sonos Controller Software, the changes that I made in iTunes were not visible in Sonos SW.  Also, in the Sonos Controller Software I am missing to have the same easy usability, for large number of CD. It appears to me to be a lot of work to get a new sonos system up and running. Especially the controller software requires a lot of work to get the same user experience that I know from iTunes.
Personally, I am very convinced that the user experience of the software surface has a major impact on mid term customer satisfaction for such a system.
Everyone nowdays collects (too) large number of informations at home – I am convinced that companies that give the users the tools to keep a easiest overview of their data will be the winner at the end.
I believe that it would be a great advantage for us customers and Apple if Sonos and Apple provided a solution, I know a number of people that have both systems at home. They both match so well because of their very easy and well done integration of their systems. I would wish for a solution with the iTunes Software and the Sonos Hardware System.
I would wish for a system where iTunes allows streaming of their music to the Sonos System.  The Sonos would only be used to configure the speakers - Sonos has partly already integrated this solution.

Ok i've attahced the real-time project i'm working on. The main prject is called ballbot_fpga which contains all the vi's. The vi im working on currently is the one called complimentary filter which i've attached along with a screenshot. The other files in the project are to do with previous iterations of the ballbot setup alogn with  a kalman filter/lqr hich was previously used but i couldn't get it to work. I only have a few days left on the job so i'm trying to just egt it up and running-which is what the voltage_control_realtime_pid VI is for once i get the nice sensor values.

  • Integrating Oracle Portal and Siebel with OAM

Sorry for the prob. straightforward question (just getting my feet wet with OAM)
We would like to configure Oracle Portal so that when users login into Portal and click on the link to launch Siebel they are not prompted with a password again.
We have the integration to OAM working for both Portal and Siebel seperatly, but we launch Siebel from within Portal we are then prompted for a password again.
Can someone please point me in the direction of how to configure OAM so that Siebel will reconize the portal cookie and not prompt for a password again.
    Thanks
    Karl

Please Install IIS WebGate at Siebel Server. Enable the WebGate by logging to Control Panel-> Administrative Console--> ISPAI Filters--> Add the WebGate Location.
Check the webgate status by below URL

  • Cfolders and Cprojects

Hi there, I got a couple of questions, I couldn't find answers to these in any of the literature. Plz direct me to relevant documentation. My Questions are,
    does Cproject differ from Cfolder?
does a Cproject have a Cfolder within itself?
    Thx in advance!
    Naga

    Hi Naga,
in general cProject and cFolder are both part of the
    SAP cProject Suite.
cFolder is used to handle and structure the communication within a project team and helps so to reduce the duration of a project.
On the other hand cProject is a tool which supports the whole project working process.
So from this point of view I would say the cProject deals with other functionalities then cFolder. So cProject also doesn't have a cFolder within but both create the SAP Project Suite.
For more information please see the SAP Online Help (http://help.sap.com) under
    - mySAP ERP
    - SAP cProject Suite

  • Cfolders and ftp

    Hi,
To integrate cfolders with ftp, do we just need a ftp server or any other tool like OFTP is required. Also how cfolder to ftp works.
    Will reward suitably.
    Anirudh,

    Hi Murugesh,
As you have given the steps for the integration of Cfolders and FTP. I got stuck up with a point
Things which I have done .
1] Created a USER in FTP server with the authorizations.
2] checked it by entering into "SAPFTP.EXE"  .
    3] Created a home directory.
After this you said in the 3rd point
3.Go to the network admin -> File storage of cFolders.
give the ip address of ur machine, basepath as  "/" give the user and pwd.
4.Go to settings of user-> file storage.
       activate file storage.
I would like to know is where is this network admin? is this in "A54" log on (or) where can i find this? could you please elloborate and let me know.
    Regards,

  • CFolders and DMS Integration

    Hi,
At present we have DMS. We are going in for cFolders now.
How do we integrate cFolders and DMS? What are the pre-requisites / configurations needed?
Where can I find the related documents?
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi,
please check the cFolders configuration guide (for release 4.0, the guide is also attached in note 973764), chapter u2018cFolders Back-End Integrationu2019 or the Online Help in the SAP Help Portal under http://help.sap.com/ > SAP ERP > SAP cProject Suite > Project and Portfolio Management XX > Design Collaboration with cFolders > cFolders Functions > cFolders Back-End Integration.
For example, you can use the back-end integration for cFolders to exchange DMS documents. In the DMS system (or so-called back-end system), use transaction CFE02 to export DMS documents to cFolders and CFI01 to import documents from cFolders into DMS.
Please read the above documentations to see the system and installation requirements.
Besides creating a RFC destination in transaction sm59, you need to maintain the backend system using transaction CFC01 in the DMS system. At least one cFolders system must be defined in the customizing before backend integration can be used.
In order to allow the user to create new documents in cFolders, he/she needs write and create authorization in the relevant folder.
    Regards,
    Silvia

  • General Info on integration between Project Systems (PS) and cProjects

    Hi,
I would like some general info on the integration scenarios between PS and cProjects. Links to any documentation/blogs on this would also be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    Lashan

    Hi Srini,
Thanks very much for the links. However, I've already gone through the standard documentation in SAP and they are a bit too high level/vague for me. I have considerable experience in xRPM, cProjects Suite and have good grasp of project management concepts, tool and techniques. My knowledge of PS is somewhat limited though.
What I am specifically looking for is what type integration options and scenarios are available. For example, cProjects can have phases and tasks defined. How would these integrate with for example WBS elements and networks in PS? What are the things you would do in cProjects and not PS and vice versa? Hope my question is clearer now.
Appreciate any further information you may have on the above.
    Thanks,
    Lashan

  • Integration of Oracle and Snap Engage with SAP Cloud for Customer

    Hello,
We need to integrate Oracle ( for opportunities, accounts and products ) with SAP C4C (Cloud for Customer).
And also Snap Engage ( for Sales Leads ) with SAP C4C (Cloud for customer ).
Is it possible to do it using custom APIs without engagement of any middleware system?
    Thanks,
    Shikha

    Hi Shika,
In 1408, we introduced two features in C4Service to enable Sales Contact Center scenarios
    1. Follow-up Sales documents from Tickets such as leads and opptys
    2. Flexibility to relabel the Ticket work center to anything you want to call the object such as "Sales Inquiry"
What this allows you to do now is have a Sales Contact Center which can process inbound sales requests from customers in a centralized organization across all supported interaction channels of Email, Social, Chat, CTI/Phone Calls, and coming in 1411 SMS. Given SnapEngage already provides certified integration for C4Service, you can basically setup the solution to create the following business process
    1. Customer contacts company via SnapEngage
    2. SnapEngage automatically routes and creates a C4Service Ticket (Sales Inquiry)
    3. Sales Contact Center agent can evaluate the inquiry and decide to create a follow-up lead or opportunity, which automatically copies the sales inquiry information into the lead or oppty
    4. Lead and Opportunity can use standard territory management capabilities to route it to the appropriate sales person for follow-up
    Good Luck!
    Rei

  • XPD and cProjects integration

    Hi All,
We are implementing xPD 2.0 and cProjects 4.0.
The scenario of integrating the two is that, in the concept stage, a project in cProject will be created from xPD.
The master guide of xPD 2.0 states that "<i>You can connect additional back-end systems, such as SAP cProjects, to the SAP xPD landscape using SAP Exchange Infrastructure</i>". But this requirement is not mentioned any where else in the other documents.
Will somebody be able to highlight on this requirement?
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Amitabh

    Hi
Try the install guides or xPD and cProjects
    http:// service.sap.com/instguides
    xPD >> SAP xApps
    install guide page 73
    Config guide page 9
cProjects >> mySAP business suite apps > mySAP PLM
    again check both guides.
    cheers Jo

  • Send Workflow email to User SAP Inbox with a Popup and cproject link

    Hi,
I am working SAP portfolio and project management workflow.
Requirement: Trigger workflow when Portfolio Execution Decision Point status changes,
    We have to send two email notifications as part of the requirement;
First notification should go to user’s (Only one user) SAP Inbox, Containing two links
Popup link (It will contain list of question which the user has to confirm) if he
confirms we have to send second  email notification. (Pop-up layout is attached)
Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject to upload the documents. (NWBC)
The second notification should go to Outlook of the users (via group email) with Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject.
We can trigger the workflow using event DECISION_POINT_STATUS_CHG in Class CL_RPM_DECISION. My question is how should design the pop-up and incorporate the Pop-up and cproject link in first notification email sent to user SAP Inbox.
Please let me know if you need more details.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Singh

We use transaction NWBC to login to netweaver business client. Then from there we navigate to Project management view and double click to select the project. It opens project element --> Collaborations tab. There we select the folder link. (screenshot attached)
Regarding addition of multiline container element (Table) let's say 'A'; I create multiline container element A in Workflow element list, Populated  element A using a utility class/method assigned to a background task.
Then, I created a user decision task, inside the task container another multiline container element 'B' with same type and I did binding b/w workflow container element 'A' and task container element 'B'.
Now, I am passing &B& in the decision task description. If I execute the workflow, The user decision task description is blank.
Secondly, I did not get any pop-up asking how to display it (all lines with line break).
PS: My internal table also has only one field.
Am I doing something wrong here?

  • WLPI: integrating organizations and roles with existing application

    Hi,
how do I integrate WLPI's organizations and roles with an existing application's
data structure? It looks like WLPI expects organizations and roles to be groups
with a particular naming convention (i.e. an org is defined by a group 'WLPIOrg@MyOrg'
and a null member). If I am integrating with an application that stores organizations
and roles in (for example) separate database tables, how do I get WLPI to recognize
these? Or do I have to maintain the organizations and roles in 2 places, one for
the application and one for WLPI in the format described above?
    THanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
We're in the middle of a prototyping exercise of getting WLS, JMS,
WLP, WLPI integrated accross one security realm. What its looking like
is this (bear in mind I think this hasn't been tried before judging by
    newsgroups + BEA Docs)
1)WLP has a bug that you cannot get user details from LDAP(exception
    is thrown)
    2)WLPI does need a certain structure -
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlpi/wlpi121/install/cfigrun.htm#1246656
    and
    http://developer.bea.com/ftp_bin/Using_LDAP_with_WLPI.zip
    A) To solve your problem maybe you could write a custom realm to
translate the roles + orgs back (no writing from WLPI ie read only )
    to WLPI.
    B) Maybe you caould have a META-DIRECTORY set up that synchronises the
RDBMSRealm with something else maybe LDAP or another RDBMSRealm
We are also looking into a unified security solution by Netegrity
called siteminder. They are about to release a version for WLS 6 but
they seem to be laggin behind. This provides a single signon over and
    enterprise system.
This is a bit vague Martin, I will hopefully have more concrete info
in a week or 2. If you have any other info you can mail me on -
