Integration of Quality Management Systems ES bundle

I need to implement QM-IDI, so started reading about it, which uses RFC destinations. Then stumbled upon on QM-IDI based on ES Bundle.
Can someone please guide me how to proceed in terms of ES Bundle.
What is a ES Bundle? Is it just set of standard webservices?
Do I need CE 7.1? What are the prequistes.
Can I levearage it on ECC6, with no netweaver?
Where to start? Do i need to download anything from Service market place?
Please help.
Thanks

    Hi,
Can anybody provide step by step approach for connecting ECC with Document management system(product of EMC).
Also would appreciate if somebody clarifies the folllowing queries
    1) Do we really need Archivelink if we just want to store documents and access documents from DMS.
    2)  What are the configurations required at DMS side and what are the configurations required at SAP ECC.

  • Integration with Quality Management

    Dear Friends,
We want to integrate DMS with Quality Management. We want to attach originals in the transactions Quality Usage Decsion (QA12 ) and Inspection lot (QA03).
I didn't found any objects for these. Is there any standard objects there. How can we bring the tab / screen for attaching / assigning DMS document in above said transactions.
    Regards,
    Sai Krishna

    Hi friends,
Does any one can clear my doubt.
Shall I know the difference between "service for object"  (for certain transaction availble on top left corner) and DMS link (thru customization adding Object link ). Sall I know the advantages / disadvantages in both cases.
SAP didn't given DMS link for all certain transactions like QA12 . In that case can we allow the users to use this functionality for certain transactions like QA 12 thru authorization.
When we are using DMS, how to restrict the users not use this.
I do understand that we can create new objects and assign to DMS Doc. types. We can do it thru SE 80 or  create new objects, module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 and function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = object name).

  • Quality Management Scoring

    Hi All,
Can anybody explain me how the system calculates Quality score (which gets reflected in Vendor Evaluation)?.....any formula or principles etc
Is there any configuration setting the QM side which helps in controlling that score?
Requirment - It is intended that one critical defect should not be easily overcome by success on other less critical tests. Currently, it has been set in QM as such the quality score is getting 80 irrespective of pass or fail of many tests
    Thanks

    Hello,
The score *Goods Receipt (main criterion quality)* is calculated as follows:
    1.     If a material is subject to incoming inspection, part of the delivered material is checked by the quality assurance department when goods are received against a purchase order.
    2.     An inspection lot is created. After the inspection or testing, the person responsible in Quality Management then enters a result and makes a decision as to whether the material can be used.
    3.     All the incoming inspection lots are stored in a file with their scores.
    4.     When you run an automatic re-evaluation for a vendor, the system selects all the incoming inspection lots for the vendor that lie within the validity period and calculates the average of the scores.
The result is the vendor's score for the quality of goods received.
The *Quality Audit (Main Criterion "Quality")* score is calculated as follows:
A quality audit has taken place in one of your vendor's plants. This means that either your own company has carried out a check to determine how the vendor ensures that his products are of a high quality, or the vendor has carried out the audit himself.
    1.     An audit lot is created by Quality Management. When the audit has been completed, the person responsible determines a score for this audit lot.
    2.     All the audit lots are stored in a file with their scores.
    3.     When you run an automatic re-evaluation of a vendor, the system selects all the audit lots for the vendor within the validity period.
    4.     The parameter Quality audit is read from Customizing.
    5.     If the indicator is set, the system calculates the average score for all the quality audits in the validity period. The result is the vendor's score for the quality audit.
If the indicator is not set, only the most recent audit lot is included. This then represents the vendor's score for the subcriterion.
The Evaln. QM system field on the screen for the main criterion "Quality" shows you the score that was awarded to the Quality Management system (e.g. ISO 9003 with certificate) used by the vendor. It is only displayed if the Prev. QM system field is filled in the vendor master record. The score is awarded by the QM system and is for information purposes only. Display the vendor master record to see which quality system the vendor uses. You can use the content of the field for your own program and have this score included in the vendoru2019s quality score.
    Complaints/Rejection Level (Main Criterion "Quality")
The score for the subcriterion Complaints/Rejection Level is computed by the SAP component QM Quality Management and passed on to the MM Vendor Evaluation component.
If the scale for the key quality data in the QM system does correspond to the scoring range in Vendor Evaluation, the Vendor Evaluation system converts the QM data for use in the Vendor Evaluation scoring system.
The score is calculated as follows:
    9.     On the shop-floor, material A supplied by vendor ACME is being processed in the course of production.
    10.     If the material is OK (that is to say, no quality notifications have been entered for material A during the entire validity period), the vendor is awarded the highest score for the material (100 points).
    11.     If the material is found to be defective, a quality notification (such as a rejection note or nonconformance complaint sent to the vendor) is entered.
    12.     During the vendor evaluation process, the system checks whether the costs associated with the faulty delivery exceed the maximum percentage of business volume defined in the Customizing system.
In the above example, your business volume with (value of purchases from) ACME amounts to one million dollars annually. The costs associated with defective deliveries may not exceed 0.1 percent of business volume, i.e. $100,000. The costs associated with a quality notification are estimated at $500.
    13.     If the costs that your company incurs as a result of the faulty materials are lower than the defined proportion of business volume, the system calculates a score between 1 and 99 points.
To do this, the system multiplies your annual business volume with the vendor ($1,000,000) by the parameter Business volume share (0.1).
The number of accumulated quality notifications (10 in all) multiplied by the cost of each notification ($ 500) is subtracted from this.
The result is divided by the annual business volume multiplied by the proportion of business volume.
The result of this is a factor which, multiplied by a hundred, gives a percentage.
This percentage indicates the quality provided by the vendor in relation to the particular material. The value 95% in the above example means that complaints or rejections involving the vendor ACME only resulted in 5% of the maximum costs allowed, i.e. the quality is very good.
Note on Scoring Range and Conversion QM - MM:
Since the minimum points score that can be obtained is not 0 (0 means "not evaluated") but 1, only 99 points are available in the range 1 to 100.
This is why the system works out how many points out of 99 the value 95% corresponds to.
    The result is 94 points.
Since the bottom of the scoring range has been moved up by one point (1 point is the worst score not 0), the system adds on 1 point.
ACME therefore achieves a score of 95 points for the subcriterion Complaints/Rejection Level for material A.
    14.     If the cost of defective or non-conforming deliveries exceeds the share of business volume defined in Customizing (in this case $100,000), the vendor is awarded the lowest score (1 point).
The score for the subcriterion Complaints/Rejection Level is computed by the SAP component QM Quality Management and passed on to the MM Vendor Evaluation component.

    I hope it helps!

  • Quality Management - Removing old agents

    Hi all,
Having an issue with Quality Management. Is it possible to remove to remove an agent that is no longer active from the Quality Management system? I notice that the admin docs for QM say that once an agent has been configured they can't be removed, just unlicenced. The problem we have is the reports in Quality Management Desktop still list this agent. The agent in question has been removed everywhere else in the system (CUCM, UCCX etc) but is still appearing in QM. Is this the expected behavior, or are we doomed to have an ever increasing list of inactive agents?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

    Hi
Well - the recordings are uploaded on a schedule, yes... the schedule basically says 'at off peak hours, that I have defined, upload at a high rate', and 'during peak hours that I have defined, upload at a limited number of recordings per hour'.
There's no guarantee that the upload won't overload your agents' web connection while it is uploading, even though there will be fewer uploads per hour.
In theory you could disable in-hours uploading and rely on out-of-hours/off peak times to get the recordings uploaded. However it would be difficult to enforce that people at home will leave their PCs running and connected in the evening to upload the recordings.
In terms of support; the manual for 2.7 suggests VPN software clients are not supported:
Remote Agent RequirementsAgents who do not work onsite are supported in these situations:■They connect to the network via a Cisco 831 or 871 router and use a supported IP phone.
In previous versions (pre 2.6), IP Communictor was not supported for remote workers.
Finally, if you do go down this route there are no guarantees that you will get good service/voice quality. You will probably be at the mercy of as many different ISPs as agents, and that's not a position I'd want to be in as either you or one of your contact center customers...

  • Best Approach for integrating SAP CRM with Outage Management System

    Hi All,
We are moving towards deploying Outage Management System (Oracle Utilities NMS) to help localize the fault, achieve Outage Management and a transparent network with a near-real time stats. We already have SAP ECC 6.0, ISU, SAP PI 7.0 and SAP CRM 7.0. One of the challenges we are facing is to decide how should we go about the integration of SAP CRM with Oracle's Outage Management System.
Here is a sample business scenario,
CSR receives a call from a consumer and inquires about planned outages for a particular area.
This information is contained in the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is SOA based and is hosted on Oracle Service Bus.
I want to know that is there any ES Bundles available for CRM-OMS integration? Should we go about Service Based Integration? What are the alternatives to Service based integration? Can it be done using BAPIs?
We receive around 1000 consumer complains and against every complain a ticket is generated in CRM. Now If CRM is integrated with OMS using SAP PI, the volume of the data being exchanged via PI is very much high and exceeds our licensed volume for SAP PI. So I do need to know the best practices for either approach that you may recommend.
    Regards,
    Adil Khalil

does anyone have an idea about this one, I've asked this question in a few places and no one really seems clear about it.
Also, I've read here and there that SAP Business One is not a real SAP product. It was bought by SAP and is sold by them but has little do to with SAP's technology (R/3, SAP ERP, Netweaver, SAP CRM, ...), and that therefore they don't support it that much ? Is any of this right ?
I'm just trying to get my vision of the SAP universe clear.

  • Quality Center Adapter - Connecting Multiple Solution Manager Systems

We are running Solution Manager 7/Enhp 1 and Quality Center 10 successfully using the Quality Center Adapter integration. My question is, can we connect multiple Solution Manager systems (i.e. SMP/SMS/SMX) to a single Quality Center server simultaneously? Or is there a one-to-one relationship restriction. Thanks.

I have answered this question in this post below:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2110531&messageID=10962875#10962875
    To quote myself
Each tie up is based on the logical ports at the Solution Manager end and the relationship between the two entities is between Projects. So if you set up the configuration like you would in a normal scenario and at the right moment, connect the projects in SolMans to the corresponding projects in HPQC, you should be fine.
    Hope that helps.

  • Integrated Document Management System

    Hi,
We are considering Oracle IFS as part of an Integrated Document
Management system with the following functionality:
    1. Document/Image Capture
    2. Document Storage & Retrieval
    3. Processflow/Workflow
IFS meets the requirement for the point 2 above. However, we are
looking for a Image Capture/Processing solution that will
provide scanning and OCR/ICR functionality. Are you aware of any
such solution that can easily be integrated with IFS, so that
scanned documents/images can be directly stored in IFS document
    repository.
    Thanx & Regards,

    Hi,
We are a Kofax Partner and have used Kofax Ascent Software to
integrate with iFS. Essentially what we have done is the
    following;
    - We do not use the WebUI interface and have created our own
user interface with additional functionality for users.
    - As part of the process we needed to scan documents into our
implementation of iFS and also provide the ability to associate
Meta Data with each image captured.
    - In our opinion Kofax Ascent software is about the best on the
market for document/image capture and therefore we use this to
place the scanned images into a folder in iFS using the SMB
    protocol.
    - To read the images into iFS we have two method, a manual and
    automatic interface.
    - To manually pull the documents into iFS we created page which
requests certain information from the user and then reads the
scanned images and places them into the relevant folder in iFS
programmatically with the associated meta data. This is a Java
Bean which we have created for that purpose.
    - To automatically pull the documents into iFS we created an
agent which is time based. At predefined time intervals it goes
to read the source folder and if anything is in there then it
will copy the files into the relevant folders in iFS again with
    the associated meta data.
    - To keep things as flexible as possible we have a property file
which provide certain generic information so that it can be
adapted to meet various client needs.
Naturally I do not want to go into the specifics of the Java
Beans that we have developed as this took a bit of time to get
    right.
Hope this helps, if not give me a shout,
    Regards,
    Bernard Wright

  • Integration with  with 3rd Party Document management System

    Hi
We are implementing Invoice Management in SAP, using the Opentext VIM ECC Addon.
The Customer has a 3rd Party Document Management System called DocHarbour which is NOT Archivelink enabled.
The process flow is that Invoices will be scanned and available in a share drive somewhere.
Using SAP and Invoice Management Work, we would like to attached these documents to the relevant SAP Documents, and then post them to the 3rd Party Doc Management System , but the Images must be retreival in SAP at any time .
Everything tells me the 3rd party Doc Management System needs to be ArchiveLink enabled for this work.
Is anyone able to shed any light on this issue , provide possible solutions , workarounds or infor ?
    Any help or information appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Minesh
My suggestion would be use SAP Content server provided by SAP as is easily available and easy to setup.
Doing Integration with third party involves much time and efforts.

  • Integration Oracle Utilities CC&B w/ non-Oracle bespoke Meter Data Management system

    Hello all,
In your opinion, what's the best way to integrate a bespoke (non-Oracle) Meter Data Management system with Oracle CC&B 2.3.1 or 2.4?
I came up with a few possible scenarios and would love to hear your opinion:
    1. Use CC&B Meter Read upload (MUP) batch process to upload reads from our bespoke Meter Data system.
    2. The bespoke Meter Data Management system adds Meter Reads to CC&B using a CC&B Inbound Service.
    3. At Billing time, CC&B invokes a Get Consumption Algorithm (invoked before the Bill Segment Creation Algorithm) which is responsible for requesting the reads from our bespoke Meter Data Management system.
This is the approach used by the Oracle CC&B-Oracle MDM integration when it comes to Usage requests/transactions.
    4. Any other idea? Feel free to share.
