Integrity checkbox in transformation

Hello
When creating the transformation, I can see the "Integrity" checkbox as a last column in the rule group. This checkbox appears for some of the Info Objects included in the group. What is a purpose for this?
Thanks,
Arelis

Hi,
Like Ajeet said Hi, Itu2019s for the referential integrity. Say you want to throw an error, if a characteristic gets in to system other than the one you have in the BI system, then check this box.
e.g you have material X,Y,Z in your IB system say during the data pull you get Material A, then the system will throw an error

• Integrating checkboxes in table.....

Hi,
I have a table which is populated using a BAPI.
The fields are diaplayed as InputFileds(editable) so that the user can edit them.
Whenever a field of a row is edited, the user has to click a CheckBox next to it, to indicate that he/she has edited that particular row.
Each row of the table should have such a CheckBox.
The problem is how to integrate these CheckBoxes in the table.
Since I have used 'Apply Template' for the table, for adding the CheckBox column I used 'Insert Column' and then using TableCellEditor I have integrated the CheckBox.
In the Context I have created a node, and under that have created a context variable of type Boolean. This variable is then mapped to the 'checked' property of the CheckBox.
But the problem is that when one CheckBox is clicked , all get clicked......as they are bound to a single context variable......
What do I do so that each CheckBox gets clicked individually??????...........
Also, I want to get the contents of the row selected depending upon the clicked CheckBoxes.
Thx in adv!
Regards,
harshada.

Hi there,
Dont bind the checkbox to the new attribute in another node. Create a value attribute of type boolean under the same node which is the datasource for the table. Then, each line will get selected individually, and you just have to see whether this checkbox is selected by looping through the table node, to get all the selected items.
By this method -however- you cannot map the node to any model node directly. You have to fill this node and copy data from this node programmatically.
Tell me if its not clear, and I will explain in detail,

• Transformation step in Integration Process

Hello Everybody,
I have used a transformation step in Integration process to transform source structure to target structure. In the same block i have used control step to cancel the process if there is any error found in transformation. I am handling this by raising exception.
Now my problem is, i found my message got failed in PE and it is showing that there is error in mapping, i took the copy of corresponding message from SXM_MONITOR and tested the mapping program, It executed successfully but the Integration process is showing that there is an error in mapaping.
Please let me know your thoughts, urgent.

hi
same mapping behaving differently !!
make sure that in bpm u r using exactly the same message mapping.
could be due to cache refresh problem. activate the message mapping again. also check the cache notifications.
if it still do not works then do a full cache refresh.

• Integrated XSLT in 10g

Will JDeveloper 10g support XSLT within the IDE?
This seems to be a simple integration, and would be very useful.
Thanks,
Benjamin

We already support schema-driven XSLT stylesheet editing.
JDev 10g is enabled to support XSLT stylesheet debugging as well, but it requires a special version of the XSLT processor from the XDK for Java team to enable this. (I'm checking to see if the current 10.1.0.1A XSLT processor is already a good enough build to make it work)
You can use our built-in XSQL pages integration to easily transform XML content (either static or dynamic from a database) using XSLT stylesheets.
What other kinds of XSLT features would you find valuable?

• CUBAC Enable external LDAP integration

Hi,
I've client where Attendant is seeing the User's Home Phone number. Customer's requirement is to show the Mobile and IP Phone extension.
To me it seems they aren't synchronizing with CUCM but directly with Microsoft AD. Enable external LDAP integration is checked and greyed out.
Is my doubt correct, the client is pulling the Phone information from AD directly?
How can I uncheck the External LDAP Integration checkbox, do I need to rerun the setup or LDAPServer.exe to do it? Would there be any loss of configuration?
If Customer wants to continue pulling the info from MS AD directly, can I add some kind of filters in CUBAC not to pick up Home phone field but Mobile Phone and IP Phone extension if those fields are populated?
CUBAC version is 3.1.8

I'm using SunOne Directory server as the External LDAP server for my

Q1 ) My understanding is that the default providers provided by Weblogic
communicate
ONLY with the embedded LDAP server. Is this understanding correct? That
means
if I'm integrating with the external LDAP server, I need to have custom
implementation
for ALL the providers ( i.e Authentication Provider, Authorization provider,
IDentity
Assertion Provider, RoleMapper , Credential Mapper etc). COMMENTS :
Your understading is correct. (for Authentication, Autherization, RoleMapper,
CredentialMapper). But you dont need to create custom implementation for all providers.
You can plug and play OR stack providers in the default realm (myrealm). Or you
can create your own realm and still can add the weblogic OOTB providers, wherever
you dont want to implement custom providers. OOTB BEA provides an Authentication
provider which can integrate with 3rd party Directory Servers (see http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/secmanage/providers.html#1172008
for more info). But if you wish to perform other services like Authorization,
CredentialMapping, RoleMapping with external LDAP providers, then YES you have
to write custom providers.
>
Q2) Or is there a way I can configure the weblogic to communicate with
an External
LDAP server so that I can use the default providers i.e when I invoke
request.isUserInRole(....),
the look up should be on the external LDAP NOT the internal LDAP.COMMENTS :
No the default providers are written to look up the Embeded LDAP. But writing
a provider is well documented (see http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/dvspisec/index.html

(according to /people/sobhithalaxmi.kata/blog/2009/07/21/cost-free-edi-integration-using-message-transformation-bean)
As far as i understand that my http header should have Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 now. I don't understand why Communication Channel Monitoring shows an error according to content TEXT/HTML.
Can anyone help me with that?
Is it possible that Transform.ContentType does not work for SOAP Receiver Adapter?
is there any chance to view the HTTP-Header of the outgoing SOAP Request (with PI Transaction / Java Enironment) to convince myself that the HTTP Header is text/xml?

Hi Thanks for your fast replies.
The Provider of the Endpoint tells me that he needs text/xml as content-type. When I sent a message to the given Endpoint via SOAP UI I can see in the HTTP LOG of SOAP UI that the Endpoint is also sending text/xml back.

What i am missing is a hint on the Message Transform Bean and a on a successfull sending process.
What i also tried already:
i also activated the checkbox "Do not use SOAP Envelop" in CommChan Configuration. The Result you see below (the last log entry is on first line - so read from bottom to top)
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
error in response
call completed
request entering
Message processing started
As you can see there is a "call completed" and "error in response" log entry. This is missing in in the first Log. So i guess the error is still in the sending process.
Installing additional Software on the PI and use them to find out what the HTTP Request is is not possible as system access is very strict and limited :/

• How to give BSP Iview look and feel of portal??

Hi All,
I've created a BSP application that I use to create an Iview for portal.
I thought that if i used htmlb tags that the look and feel of portal would be automatic to my app but its not.
I've tried assigning portal css classes to a html table but there's no effect.
I've previewed one of the standard ivews and viewed the source and found the path of the css file. But when i looked for it on the server, while the out folder was there (com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata) , there was no css files in this folder.
So i'm at a loss. In summary, how do i get my bsp app to have the portal look and feel????? I would prefer to use the css files so that if any changes are made to the standard, the changes will be reflected in my custom iviews too.
Any help, would be most welcome,
Liz.

Hi Liz,
on the properties tab for the BSP application try selecting the "Supports Portal Integration" checkbox.
Cheers

• I propose a programming method for a better native GUI.

Basically the change is that in almost all cases the compiler/gui is in complete control over the layout of a window. This means that instead of an application declaring where every window element would be, it would have a file that would declare every element. Here's some examples using pictures from Apple's HI guideline. (sorry for the bad code example)
WindowNoResize (Settings, "Imagetype Changer Preference"); //declares a standard window with no resizing handles, dimensions are automatic. also declares the title of the window and the call function (Settings).
Include Help (manual.pdf); //declares that there is a help button included, which in this case launches the pdf manual
section 1 ("General Editing") //creates the first section and gives it a title. the following is it's contents
radio (ImageOption, 0="Select existing image", 1="Add a margin around image") //declares a radio button with two option, sets the result to ImageOption
InputBox Integer ( "Size:", ImageSize, "points") //declares an inputbox for numbers, surrounding text, and location where to store the result.
CheckBox (ReposChange, "Reposition windows after change") //declares a checkbox and sends the result (TRUE/FALSE) to ReposChange
CheckBox (Remember, "Remember recent items") //declares a checkbox and sends the result to Remember
end section 1; //finishes section
section 2 ("Clipboard settings") //declares section two
Radio (ClipOpt, 0="Copy selection from image only", 1="Erase section from Image") //declares radio, sends results to ClipOpt
CheckBox (Dither, "Dither content of clipboard") //declares checkbox, sends results to Dither
end section 2;
section 3 ("Color Optimization:") //declares section three
CheckBox (Calc, "Calculate best color table")
CheckBox (Ver, "Verify color table integrity")
CheckBox (NoteLoss, "Notify on loss of color information")
CheckBox (NoteBef, "Notify before CMYK to RGB conversion")
end section 3;
end window //declres the end of the window's code.then the compiler or the Operating System's GUI will use this information to render the following window:
Mostly this would be used for standard message boxes, so that an error box will look like a standard Mac or Windows error box depending on which OS is running the application. Ideally the GUI will also alter the text and everything so that the application will become indistinguishable from a native application.
the best part? Operationg systems designed for touch-screen input, such as The BlackBerry Storm or HP TouchSmart, can automatically render the windows in a format that is touch-screen fiendly.
Edited by: GrahamReneKennethFluet on Apr 12, 2010 3:18 PM

Well to be honest this was a copy and paste of a thread that was based off of another thread that was written when I had no idea what I was talking about... so let me start at the beginning.
A day or so ago I was reading on DaringFireball about how Apple is trying to remove all external api's such as Flash, because what happens is that it by default uses a GUI that clashes with the rest of the OS. I know that on my Blackberry Storm I have ZoomPass installed, a generic .jar that clashes significantly with the rest of the OS and I'd rather avoid if it wasn't for Zoompass's importance. This made me realize that Apple did this to prevent lazy coders from porting an app in the simplest and most butt-ugly way possible, because then when the user is running that app it ruins the overall "prettyness" of the OS. I then realized that all that was wrong with the app was it's gui, not the options or the performance. I then wondered if it was possible to have the OS control ALL aspects of the program's window, from the font to the button size and down to the layout of standard buttons such as cancel, allow, and help/info. I understand that compared to Swing AWT get's pretty close to native experience, but I feel it could be better.
So basically I'm asking for a way to set up a program in a way so that every window looks native, from the layout of the error and warning boxes to to position of the preferences/options menu item.

• XML Data Provider - Information

Hi!
I am using the web item "Data Provider - Information" in the WAD to get a query result in XML. When i choose view source in the explorer i can see the XML generated.
My problem is that this generated XML generates one "XML set" for the characteristics in the query and one "XML set" for the key figures in the query.
By this i mean that when i copy the xml from the "view source" file and save it as its own XML file i have to save it as one file for the Key Figures and one file for the Characteristics.
Like this(Characteristic OMaterial and KeyFiure NetValue):

<material>12345</material>

and

<net_value>100</net_value>

I would like the web item to generate a XML file that includes both the KeyFigures and the Characteristics.
Like this:

<material>12345</material>
<net_value>100</net_value>

Do any of you know if/how this is possible?
Thanks,
Charlotte

Hey, sounds like you're getting pretty close. The next thing is integrating the XSLT transform into a web template. I'm actually working on a paper on this that I'll put out at some point. Anywho, here's a sample template that does the XSLT transform on load of the page... The most important thing is that the web template has property "STATELESS=X" so that any navigation you do reruns the transform. This way, you can still navigate and do BW type activities while still transforming the result set. This is very powerful and you'll be able to change or do anything using XSLT transforms. I'm even working on creating javascript functions that run these transforms to do left outer joins and inner joins based on 2 XML result sets. This way, even if data isn't modeled together, it can be presented together. I'm working through the kinks of some of these transforms. Also, I'm working to integrate stylesheet support into my transform as well. Just substitute your transform into the sample template below and it'll render an html table for the XML Query Result Set.
[code]

• Tablet: Good or Bad?

Hello, well I was thinking about maybe investing in a Tablet. At first I was wanting maybe just an e-Reader to read books, but why not pay a bit more and be able to download apps and access the internet much better, right? Well I have some questions regarding tablets.
1) Do all tablets or most require a data plan to use them?
2) How do you download apps if you don't have the iPad?
3) How much are data plans on average if you need one?
4) Which Tablet is reccommended to me or just in general?
I really will only use the Tablet to read books online, use social networking, surf the internet, play games and maybe take random notes or whatnot. If somone would graciously get back to me, I would appreciate it! Thank you.

A lot of tablets are wi-fi only, so they work wherever you have wi-fi. Some people "tether" them to their phones via wi-fi for "on the go" data. Only 3G/4G enabled tablets (Like the Verizon LTE variant of the Samsung Tab 10.1) require a data plan.
If you have an Android tablet like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Android Market is the Android equivalent of the Apple App Store. Also, unlike Apple devices, Android devices let you "sideload" apps from your PC and also access alternate markets (like the Amazon App Store for Android.)
Data plans are usually around $30 for a 2GB/month data plan if you want data "on the go" anywhere that has cell service. (Note: The Verizon LTE Tab 10.1 may only be able to use WiFi and LTE, not Verizon's old 2G/3G network).
As to which is recommended for you... This is a subject of flamewars. I have a WiFi Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and love it. It's the thinnest of the Android tablets, however it's one of the more expensive ones ($500 for 16GB). The Asus Transformer is $100 cheaper but it's a bit thicker and accessories for the Transformer are VERY expensive and frequently sold out. However, The Transformer's accessory keyboard makes it quite popular - the integration of the Transformer's addon keyboard is superior to any other tablet solution. The Tab 10.1 can use many accessories intended for the original 7" Galaxy Tabs, so accessories (both Samsung official and third-party) are much easier to find. The Acer Iconia A500 has far more ports built-in so it's thicker but requires adapters for fewer functions. The Toshiba Thrive takes the Iconia concept further - it has nearly EVERYTHING built-in, but this makes it the thickest of the Android tablets.

• Message being sent

Messages of one integration process in sxmb_moni, outbound status is "Message being sent".
Messages of other process is OK.
Thanks.

my design is like this:
IDoc -> TXTIntegration process--->FTP
Integration process is like this:
loop{receiver>container operation(append)}>transformation---send.
I have worked out this integration process:
IDoc>Integration process{append>transformation>IDoc list}>FTP.

• FILE2FILE with BPM

Hi All,
Now i am working on FILE2FILE scenario with BPM Asynchronous.
i created 4 message interfaces.
1.BPM_SENDER_MI
2.BPM_SENDER_MI_ABSTRACT
3.BPM_RECEIVER_MI
4.BPM_RECEIVER_MI_ABSTRACT
Message Mapping is
BPM_SENDER_MT2BPM_RECEIVER_MT
Interface Mapping is
BPM_SENDER_MI_ABSTRACT2BPM_RECEIVER_MI_ABSTRACT
My Integration Process:
Receove--->Transformation--->Send.
Now i got confusion in Integration Directory.
Please let me clear that,
how many comm channels required ?
And how many receiver determinations, interface determinations, sender agreements & receiver agreements required for me?
Anybody have the solution, Please get back to me ASAP.
I am very thankful to you in advance.
Regards,
Nagarjuna.

Hi Nagarjuna,
if inside your BPM you really have only ONE transformation, then I suggest to you do NOT use a BPM, because it's not necessary !
your performance will decrease with the BPM... (remind BPM=workflow).
Moreover if you have NOT a BPM, your config will be easier:
Sender --> Mapping --> Receiver
Note: and in SXI_MONITOR you will have ONE message line.
And in case of BPM, you have;
1. Sender --> (no mapping) --> BPM
2. BPM --> (no mapping) --> Receiver
Remind: the mapping is done in your BPM.
Note: and in SXI_MONITOR you will have TWO message lines.
So there is no good point use BPM if you just have one transformation into your BPM.
BPM has to be used when you want to impelement a workflow flow, with correlation, alert, merge, split, etc...
Hope this help.

• Can the "Import: Store Files" folder list be edited?

I've searched both this forum and the web for an answer; nothing has turned up.
I'm looking for a way to edit the folder list when you "Import" & click on:
- Store Files - In their current location
I have renamed and reorganized a number of folders on my hard drive, so the old folders no longer exit. They show up as grayed-out in this list. I would like to clean this up, if there is a way to edit a text list somewhere without messing up the program.
I have Aperture 2.1.4.
thanks

As noted above, the SSIS Wizard may not be the best choice.
I suggest you build an SSIS package. Not only for the initial load, but for the incremental refresh as well.
SSIS has data cleansing, full error control and logging facilities.
BOL 2014: "Microsoft Integration Services is a platform for building enterprise-level data integration and data transformations solutions. You use Integration Services to solve complex business problems by copying or downloading files, sending
e-mail messages in response to events, updating data warehouses, cleaning and mining data, and managing SQL Server objects and data. The packages can work alone or in concert with other packages to address complex business needs. Integration Services can extract
and transform data from a wide variety of sources such as XML data files, flat files, and relational data sources, and then load the data into one or more destinations.
Integration Services includes a rich set of built-in tasks and transformations; tools for constructing packages; and the Integration Services service for running and managing packages. You can use the graphical Integration Services tools to create solutions
without writing a single line of code; or you can program the extensive Integration Services object model to create packages programmatically and code custom tasks and other package objects."
