Intellitype Macros don't work in Dreamweaver

So i'm using a microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard and with intellitype installed it let's me run a macro mapped to their extra buttons. I mapped ctrl+c and ctrl+v which would save my poor fingers a ton of use. And DW is the only program that doesn't recognize the macro... Come on Adobe. Even photoshop works with the macro. As far as I can see you can't remap it in the preferences either. Anyone had this problem and got DW to work?

Whilst creating a project file with the modules in to send to you, I discovered that the code works when it is run from the project file rather than from my Global.mpt file. So why would the same code work when run from a project file but
not work when run from my Global.mpt file?
I also got someone else to try running it from his Global.mpt file and it works OK for him - he has an XP machine and mine is Windows 7, would that make a difference?
As I said earlier, we are running Project Professional 2010 but are not connected to a server, but when I use organizer to try to copy modules into my Global.mpt file. it doesn't work and I get the error "You cannot copy modules from a project into
the enterprise global template". The file selected in the drop down box in the Organizer dialog box is Global.MPT, so I'm not sure why it thinks it is copying to the enterprise global file. I can copy modules OK using the VBA Project Explorer.
When I select File, Info, under Project Server Accounts it says "Not connected to Project Server". When I select Manage Accounts it just has "Computer" in the Available accounts. From the error message it looks to me that it
thinks it is connected to the Project Server, but I can't figure out why.
Many thanks for all the help you've provided so far and the offer of looking at the code. If you can shed any light on the above, that would be great.

Hyperlinks don't work outside dreamweaver

Hello,
I am relatively new to web design. After designing a few simple websites for myself, that I could put on my portfolio I decided to design another website. It all went well, until I stumbled upon a weird problem: hyperlinks in the banner do not work. Hyperlinks in the menu, as well as other page parts work perfectly fine. Except the banner, I could set whatever text to be a hyperlink, but all it does is simply add the characteristics of it such as the underline and blue color. But... it won't work how it is supposed to be.
If I copy/cut the element out of the banner, it will work without a flaw.
I would also like to add, that I am using z-index of -1 to put it under the logo which is above both the menu and the banner.

A z-index: -1 puts a positioned element under the <body> which is the parent tag of all tags in your document. Only one time I have used z-index: -1 and it was a jQuery proof of concept exercise.

"New" Godaddy webhosting account's won't work w/Dreamweaver CS3

Hello,
I am having problems getting my Godaddy webhosting account's to work with Dreamweaver CS3. My older accounts work, it is my newer (last 6 months) accounts that have this issue. The ftp information works in my CuteFTP8 Professional. I called Godaddy tech support several times and they could not figure out. And, since it works in my FTP program, they said it is a Dreamweaver issue.
In the FTP host Remote Info I have tried www.domain.com, domain.com, ftp.domain.com with login and password. I also tried checking Use passive FTP, Use IPv6 Transfer mode, Use Secure FTP (SFTP) and leaving them all unchecked. The error message I always get is:
An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. No response from the server. This may be due to one or more of the following reasons: etc.
I compared information with my Dreamweaver accounts that do worked and still no luck.
The only thing I can think of is when you create a new hosting account with Godaddy, depending on the month, you are assigned a different web server. Could it be the old Godaddy web servers work and the new web servers may have different settings that don't work with Dreamweaver? Or, I need different setting information??? I am at my wits end.
Any help on this would greatly be appreciated.

Hi Mona:
If your FTP client works, then there has to be some miniscule detail that's different between that setup and what you're inputting into your DW Manage sites. Maybe you should print out your successful FTP setup details, and compare to what's in your DW...
If this helps, this info came from GoDaddy's help section:
From the Site menu, select Manage Sites.
In the Manage Sites box, Click New, then choose Site.
In the Site Definition box, enter the name and URL of your website and clickNext.
If a certain type of server technology is necessary for the site to function, selectyes. Otherwise, select no and click Next.
For working with files during development, select Edit local copies on my machine...(recommended). It is very important that they select this option.
Enter connection information as follows:
How do you connect to your remote server?
FTP
What is the hostname or FTP address of your web server?
ftp.domainname.com
What folder on the server do you want to store your files in?
/ or blank
Enter your FTP login and FTP Password
Click Next.
For checking in and out files, select No, do not enable..
Review the summary to be sure all information is accurate, then click Done.
I have a dozen sites hosted at GD, and in most cases (where I had trouble), it was operator error. Good luck!

Windows 7 mouse gestures don't work with DW and FW

I discovered that the mouse gestures don't work with Dreamweaver CS4 and Fireworks CS4 windows. When I drag a window to the right or left, nothing happen. The gestures words fine with all other programs, even Adobe programs like Photoshop or Lightroom. Can anyone help?

Thanks Robb. I tried those options but it didn't work, but I'm posting here the final resolution in case anyone else encounters the issue.
I had the local desktop support check out his PC and it turns out that the Windows 7 screen resolution was causing the issue. The only reason it was caught is because his desktop sharing software also was not working correctly.
Within the display settings Windows 7 allows you to display text/icons larger without changing the resolution. The user's display was set at 150%. After changing to 100% (default) the desktop sharing and Essbase double clicking are working.

Nav bar buttons don't work when imported to Dreamweaver

I've always created these and now they don't work...
Export a ping with multiple buttons as HTML and images.
Import to Dreamweaver as Image Object > Fireworks HTML.
The buttons are recognized as buttons, but the rollover states don't show. Any ideas why?

YouTube is for video, and a video is by definition non interactive, so this is a normal behavior. Only SWF and HTML5 output can be interactive, not video output .

Dreamweaver CS6: Page navigation keys don't work in Files window (Mac)

Hi all,
The home, end, page up and page down buttons don't work in the Files window of Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac OS X 10.7.3.
They did work in any previous version of Dreamweaver.
I wonder if anyone else experiences the same issue?
It was very handy - and is expectd behavior - and hope Adobe can restore this functionality.

I'm having the same issue with non-working iWeb Page links. This was the first site I built on my iWeb, and posted on my .mac account. Everything works on iweb, but once I "publish all to .mac", the links become inactive. I've reset and tried everything but can't figure out what the problem is. Check it out.

Image Preview not working in Dreamweaver CC

I recently switched from Dreamweaver CS5 to Dreamweaver CC and my images don't preview in Dreamweaver CC interface "Design" mode/tab at all. My images are hosted at an Adobe Scene7 URL that I know the image path is correct because it works when I preview using the image path URL.
I need to get these images to preview in Dreamweaver so that I can ad hotspot areas to them and also visualize what it looks like before making web pages live.

DW should automatically show you those files in Design View.
Unless you are using a firewall, that should not be checked. If you have not defined a site yet, that would never have come up to be checked.
Does View > Refresh Design View (F5) do anything for you?
What happens when you switch to Live View on the page(s) in question?

Flash buttons don't work

I created my template in Dreamweaver and 9 other pages from
the template. Now I inserted flash buttons in the original template
and linked them to all other pages. Buttons work in the original
template but not in any of other pages, even though I updated the
pages with all the changes. What am I doing wrong??? I am losing my
mind here.
Any help appreciated.

Flash buttons don't work in any real sense of the word,
anyhow. Why are you
using them?
If you want to use Flash for navigation, consider this -
1. Some people don't have Flash installed - what do they do?
2. Search engines don't parse Flash links - your site will
not be spidered
3. Screen assistive devices don't parse Flash links - what
will those users
do?
4. DW cannot maintain links within a Flash movie, so if you
move or rename
a linked file, your navigation will break - what will you do?
It's usually a very bad idea for these reasons...
This problem is due to the fact that you are placing the
buttons into a
Template file. In this case, and assuming you want to inherit
all the
problems, make the links to the buttons ROOT RELATIVE.

Code hints don't work - include files using a variable

In Dreamweaver CS 5.5 code hints didn't work properly.
DW would not look at my code and find the include files and look at the functions inside them when using a variable to make an absolute path, which is the best way to include files in PHP (its faster and more reliable on your web server)
Here is an example:

I made a full SQL Developer installation with Java included, so I suppose that the included version is used.
After a problem with the German Version I tried to switch to English Version by using the hint:

I have several pages with templates, but with the new Flash
player, the swf that are included in the templates don't work, they
do'nt appear in the webpage.
Any help please!!

Flash not working in Dreamweaver

Hello.. hope someone can help.
I'm trying to get a photo gallery to work in Dreamweaver.
Everything is working fine when testing in Flash but when add to my

Why excel output on the ALV Application Tool bar don't work

most of our company's report was view in the ALV, but the standard excel output function on the ALV Application Toolbar don't work.

Thanks for answer me , and the problem was sovled by my colleague, go to the toolbar option / security / macro security/ trust access to visual basic project, and select it . and you will fine the FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY can use the standard excel output now .
