Interacting with embeded flash using bot

I am trying to understand if it would be possible for a web crawler to interact with a flash object embeded in a web site.
For exemple would it be possible to automaticaly use this website with a bot or some other program? http://www.r2d2translator.com/

This is exactly what I am trying to do and the sample you pointed out is working just fine. The only issue that I now have is it does not work when I try to the PDF forms myself. I am using Adobe LiveCycle Designer version 8.2 to create the forms.
For some reason this.external and this.hostContainer properties are not available to me in my docReady event. Do you know if this was deprecated in version 8 or so? are there any other alternatives for this?

You cannot do this natively - .NET does not natively support
AX controls.
You can achieve this with CFCOM

or with OpenCF.NET

OpenCF is free.
Alternatively, it is possible to build your own COM wrapper
using C++ but I
don't know how to achieve this.

Full screen problem, with embedded flash player in a flash player

Hi,
I am having an issue with the flash video player embedded within a flash player movie. The issue is that when my main flash is in Full Screen mode and I try to open that screen where embedded movie player is, when it is opened the inner movie player covers the complete screen, on the other hands it should show that embedded player in normal condition with other background stuffs.
Can anyone guide me what step should I take to avoid this or if it is possible to do this kind of scenario in Full Screen mode or not?

Audio problems with embedded Flash

I have the Flash of a Captivate simulation embedded on one of
the slides in my Presenter file. When I publish it, the audio for
the Flash starts playing in the middle of the previous slide -
playing over the audio for that slide. When I click Pause, the
audio for the Presenter slide stops, but the Flash audio keeps
going even though I haven't gotten to the slide with the embedded
file yet. It always starts 4-5 seconds into the previous slide.
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?
I've used embedded Flash files in Presenter several times
with no problems, and the settings in Presenter are all the same as
in the presentations that work correctly.
- In Presentation Settings, I have "controlled by
presentation playbar" deselected because there are click boxes in
the Captivate sim that users will click to advance.
- In Slide Properties, I have "advance by user" select for
both the embedded slide and the previous slide.
- I thought that there was some glitch in the Audio Editor,
so I added 5 seconds of silence at the end of the previous slide,
and added enough silence to the embedded slide to more than cover
the length of the embedded piece.
This is the first time I've tried to embed a Flash file since
I upgraded to Captivate 2. Could something have changed on the
Captivate side of things? It still doesn't make sense why the audio
would start playing before the Flash starts, but I'm grasping at
straws here.

A little additional information:
It isn't just the audio from the embedded Flash that runs
early - it's the actual Flash file. I don't know if this makes any
difference in figuring out what's going on, but thought I'd add
that bit of detail.
Also - I had found out that my Captivate project that I
created the Flash from had gotten corrupted and was hoping that
fixing that would fix this problem as well ... but no such luck...

Interacting with embedded object

I'm using a bit of software called 3Dvia composer which is used to create 3D technical documentation. The software is capable of exporting the 3D content to a PDF. The content is then viewed in the PDF via an embedded activex player which has it's own API.
I have one such PDF with embedded 3Dvia content which I would like to add some text boxes to and some JavaScript to extract information from the embedded content and put it in the text boxes. I have successfully done this before in an HTML page using VBScript.
Unfortunately I know next to nothing about JavaScript! Can anybody give me some idea of how I could identify the embedded player in the PDF using JavaScript, so that I can use it's methods?

I asked this question again and i reported this bug , i am a computer engineer and i tested it with few macbook pro retina laptops , when u use win 8.1 64 bit or 32 bit and install adobe flash under firefox try to play any game in facebook , view video on youtube or use any FLASH video and move the mouse above the screen of the flash game / video / etc , the screen will lag alot .
under chrome this problem doesnt exist but the screen is blurry in chrome when using retina screen thats why firefox is better , but the problem is annoying .
i tried to disable hardware acceleration as you suggested still the same problem

Problem with embedding Flash Text/HTML Code

Hey all, im new to DW and just created a html page with a
black background and a picture. I also added a flash text called
"Enter Forum" by using "Insert>Media>Flash Text"
When i copy and paste the code that is generated in the
"Code" section/tab on to my server in the index/html and go to view
my site it is not there. I uploaded the .swf file to my server
also, i have played around with the coding a bit to see if i was
doing anythng wrong but nothing works. Below is the code DW renders
to me. I simply copy and paste this code that DW renders and paste
it in to my server's index.html (Main Page) file. I checked the emd
src and all thats correct.

Can you post the url to show us the page on your server? If
you copied
everything, it could be you have too many doc types, headers
and body tags
in your index.html page.

Problem with embedded flash file

My flash file plays properly , when previewed in any
of 3 browsers via Dreamweaver 8.0.2 , but never appears at all when
I bring up the site as an anonymous viewer . I note that if I try
and reload the whole site using a client ftp instead of the
in-built "put" feature in DW , I get a message that "unable to
complete ,because of problem with a file or files" ( I paraphrase)
but that ftp program has no way of identifying which files are the
problem- and there are 600 or so in the site ( site is
www.OrchidsAndMore.org.uk - if it might help to see - the flash
file should be in the middle of the first page.

well, you can 'label' some frames to link inside your flash to those as a 'page'..
But i've allready found it myself :-)
I just had to put 'anchors' in place of 'labels' and than put like: 'index.html#thepage'

Advantages & disadvantages with embedded, external use of sub reports

Hi Guys,
I have a Question on "re-import subreport when open" option, which is available for sub report and it will reimport the sub report every time when we open the main report.
With that option we can see every modification until when we open that report.
My question is, does we have any document which specifies the Advantages & disadvantages of using Embedded, external(re-import) subreports in Main reports.
And i have one more scenario, i have a subreport which is used in ten reports. In every report i am taking the same Sub report from shared location and check the option "reimport subreport when open". So when i apply any change that change will applied for all ten reports at my next schedule.
My Question is: if the Subreport executes 10 minutes and i scheduled all the 10 main reports at a time. At that time does the sub report lock for one report or it will use for all the 10 reports? Can anyone give brief explanation about this?

hi Naga,
the only advantage to this feature is that changes are reflected when opening your report. that's it....useful for changes when you're in dev mode. disadvantage may be slight loss of speed vs. just embedding the subeport and then manually reimporting.
the second question should probably be directed to the bi platform and not in cr design as you're scheduling.

Can I distribute my software with embedded Flash Player (NPSWF32.dll) ?

I'm developing a program that use QtWebKit to display flash content. Adobe Flash Player need to be installed in the computer in order to run my program.
I've found a way to ship Flash Player with my program by include a NPSWF32.dll(not a flash player installer) into my installer.
Is this method break the Adobe Flash Player License?

Unable to open pdf with embedded flash

Started with Adobe Reader XI (11.0.0.2)
Was running into problems in an app because the new reader version does not work the same way in regards to Find.
Downloaded the Adobe SDK (XI) and tried to open some of the documentation.
Recieved a message that I needed to install flash, did so, "Adobe Flash Plater 11 Active X" shows as installed (along with a bunch of stuff I did not want). Tried again to open the document and it still gives the same message.
What can I try now.
I am unable to change versions of Adboe Reader at this point as changing it would negate the problem I'm trying to solve in the first place.

Problem with Embedding Flash Files

So I'm trying to embed a video I made in flash. I took the file and out and put it into my sites folder and copied some code to place it as an object in my web page via an html snippet. The strange thing is that when I view the video at its URL: http://web.mac.com/jlamb33/docs/success07.swf it looks fine, but when I put it into a page like: http://web.mac.com/jlamb33/AKPsi/Success.html it gets really small and I lose the controller bar. Anyone know what's going on?

Well, the reason I created it in flash was because a lot of my friends couldn't view the video with quicktime, because they don't have it. Anyway, I tried your setup and I can't seem to get it working properly. I copied the anplayer.swf file into my sites folder and copied the code into a snippet but nothings coming up. One thing I noticed is that the source file in the code was changed from the .swf file to .flv&amp. I didn't realize that was a valid extension, but I could be wrong. Any ideas on what's going on? Interacting with DOM objects using HTML

Hi,
I want to listen to "text selection" on a webpage in AS (i.e. as soon as a user highlights some text and releases the mouse button, an event gets fired). Events for cut, copy, and paste are available, but none for "text selection". I have read about cross-scripting between AS and JavaScript and understand it, although I do not understand yet how it can solve my problem. Also, is there any simpler way to do it directly in AS, without getting into JavaScript?

There's a non-standard onselectstart attribute (or "selectstart" event type) that looks to be the only HTML DOM event dispatched for text selection.
You can listen for such DOM events from ActionScript like so:

Change external html text with embeded flash

I want to change some text that isn't inside the flash movie,
but using flash.
i want to change "jimmy" to "james"

is there some way I could use an "expression" to subtract the
unwanted text strings from the info being passed by the variables?
If so, does anyone have an example of the context I would used to
subtract 2 strings from that info...
