Interactive Drop Down (linking drop downs to other documents)

Hello all, thanks in advance.
I am trying to basically create a drop down list, which links to other documents. Imagine for example you have a drop down box that contains a load of different options, "1" "2" "3" etc. after chosing one, you then click on a button which takes you to the PDF, which 1 2 or 3 corresponds to.
I have made the drop down list but now I am at a loss of what to do from here, is it possible to make each individual selection (1 2 or 3) have a seperate action or will I have to write some kind of code to be able to achieve this. If that's the case, I wonder if someone like me, who has no understanding of code would be able to write in such a command. Anyway thanks again for all your potential help!

This is possible however not by PDF Pack subscription, this can be achieved by LC Designer as we can wite code in there to achieve the goal. If you have LC Designer with you i would request you post your query in LC Designer forum.

I see. That is more complicated to implement... Basically you could do it
like this:
- Set the text field's option "Field is used for file selection" under
Properties - Options.
- Then add a MouseUp action to the button that executes this JavaScript
code:
this.getField("Link").browseForFileToSubmit();
- When the button is then clicked it will open a file selection dialog and
will populate the selected file path into the text field.

Is it possible that the PDFs you're working on are on a USB? Windows can return this error when a device is no longer accessible by Windows.

MSI VOX - MSIPVS (only cd); dropped frames in other programs;

I have dell inspirion 11000 (512mb, celeron 2,GHz) and msi vox USB TV tuner.
I have two problems.
In MSIPVS I can only select cd audio for audio output , but I have only mic in input on my computer. I guess this problem is in connection with the sound card on my lap top. I would like to know, if anyone was in the similar situation and how he managed to get out of this problem.
Second problem is probably in connection with msi vox driver. I am able to get preview only from IUVCR and MSIVPS. I can capture sound and video only from IUVCR since this program allows me to select microphone for audio input. But during the capturing I have a lot of dropped frames (around 70% ... my CPU usage is very small, disc fragmented .... ). Other programs just don't work.
Please HELP ME! ;-)

Could be the memory, but it's hard to tell.
It may be a problem with reading the timecode from the camera.
Some things to try:
You could try to capture now and capture the entire tape with device control on.
Turn device control off and capture now (this will not allow you to recapture footage based on timecode)
If you are capturing to your internal drive where your operating system is running on and have journaling enabled, this could be fouling up the capture process. To see if you have journaling on go to:
Applications->Utilities->Disk Utilities
select the drive you are capturing to
click the select the File Menu and see if the journaling submenu says enable journaling or disable journaling. If it says disable, then the drive is journaled.
Capturing to a FileVault Volume will slow down the capture process and probably causes dropped frames.
Reboot the computer and hold the right shift key down to start in safe mode. If you have multiple users, hold the shift key down when logging into a user. Try to capture in safe mode. This will turn off any pesky programs you may have running in the background.
Make sure the drive you are capturing to has enough free space. If you are capturing to a drive that is close to full or heavily fragmented, it will slow the capture process down and drop frames.
Other than that... it could be a memory issue or it could be the speed of your hard drive.

Bookmarks scroll gets stuck on open folders and doesnt let you continue scrolling down to other folders and options

Whenever I click the Bookmarks tab in the menu bar up top to select one of my saved bookmarks, when scrolling down over folders to get to the link I want, the mouse catches over a folder (opening it) and doesnt let you continue scrolling down to other items under the opened folder - It gets stuck. The only way to get out of the opened folder is to scroll back up to get rid of it and scroll quickly down again in order to get the link I want below the folders without opening them.

Small correction to original post. Machine is an iMac 2.4ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. (I was at home when I made the first post.) But the bookmarks menu behavior still exists today and FF 5 is essentially unusable.
System details next to the post are not for machine with the bug in question.
Found a copy of FF4 to use until a solution is found. Turned off automatic updates to preserve this version.

Drill down to other dimensions

Hi,
I'm faced with some users that are used to being able to drill down to other dimensions in BEx reports from free characteristics. For example - Adding Cost Centers to Profit Centers in rows.
Is there an elegant way to handle this with BPC reports?

The Firefox icon often disappears from the toolbar when I go to another window like Outlook or Media Player. When I close down all other windows it reappears again. What can I do about that?

When it has disappeared I can open Firefox again using the menu or the opening icon on the toolbar, but then it only shows up blank, so without the tabs that were opened before. Closing down all other icons on the toolbar is the only way to make the Firefox icon reappear and for me to open Firefox again with all my tabs.

It really is odd, since I had it at least twice a week for several months.
So far, so good, then.
I'll wait a while more, and will then close it as being solved. I guess that's the procedure.
We'll put it down to temporary bugs or pc mysteries.
Though I like the magic option more...

With new Photos app, I can no longer drag and drop photos into other applications as I did in the past with iPhoto.

YOu're not looking in the right palce. That's inside the iPhoto Application.
You need to look inside the iPhoto Library
As I sid above:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there

2014.3 -Can't apply drop shadow (or other effects) to text, however I can apply effect to shapes, Why?

I'm new to Muse, but have always been curious to try it. Today I updated to Muse CC 2014.3 after watching the "up and running with Muse" videos out on Lynda.com
I'm not sure if it's something i'm not doing correctly, but I can't apply drop shadow (or other effects) to text, however I can apply effect to shapes just fine, why?

This has to do with the way we set text to be rendered in the browser. You are able to apply a drop shadow to system fonts (which will be rasterized to an image in the browser), but currently web safe fonts with drop shadow aren't supported in Muse because we still support IE8 and IE9 -- which don't support the shadow effect for text. One sort of work around is to use two text frames, one which holds your text and one which has black coloring with opacity less than 100% applied to the text that gets set behind and offset to your text to appear as though it were drop shadow, while keeping your text live. Group them together and moving them shouldn't throw off your design too much.

Mini 2009 won't shut down and others....

My hard disk crashed down, I changed it and re-installed from Time Machine. Now my mini won't shut down (among other things) just restart. I think, I broke something inside, because I can't re-install from App Store (unfit check sum). Here is the fault log, any help?

Reboot while holding down the command-r keys so the Mac boots to the Recovery Disk. From there select Disk Utility and then run Repair Disk.

Problem drag/dropping photos to other Apps (e.g. PowerPoint).

I just got a new camera (FujiFilm FinePix S5700) and the photos from this camera can't be drag/dropped to other apps. If I try it I get the error message "Quick Time and a Tiff decompressor are needed to see this picture"
That puzzles me because the file info shows the pictures as being jpeg files. If I export the photos somewhere else I can drag/drop them into other apps, but not directly from IPhoto. I have had photos from two other cameras and have not had this problem. Any ideas?

Try this test. Import a photo from the camera to the desktop first and then import into iPhoto. Now see if that photo can be dragged into another app. They do have a jpg extension on the file name, right?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

PCI-5105 rounds down every other point

I noticed that our PCI-5105 digitizers round down every other data point to about 8-bit resolution. Here're a couple of screen shots of 128kHz sine wave recorder at 60 MHz. The range was set to 6V, tested with NI-SCOPE drivers v3.9 and 4.1. Can that be fixed or avoided:

Interesting. Here are some questions:
What is the SN of the card?
How long have you had the card?
Does this occur on all channels and at all frequencies?
How often does this happen? (Every acquisition?)
If it doesn't happen every acquisition, How do you reproduce this behavior?
How long has this been happening?
If it just started happening recently, what changes could have triggered it?
Describe the signal that you have been measuring with this card. (Voltages, transients, rise-time, frequencies, as many specs as you have, etc.)
Describe the system you have this card setup in. (Computer model, connected devices, etc.) Basically what is the digitizer connected to?
Provide any additional information that would help provide context around this issue.

How to Link Master Contract with other contracts

below is the path to assign the lowr level contracts to master contracts
step1: IMG--Sales and distribution salessales documentscontractsmaster contracts---define referencing requirements
1.define reference sales document type: here lower level contracts are assigned to master contracts
2.define referencing procedures: here filelds are categorized into 3 parts
1.Identical fields: a master contract can only be referenced by a contract if the fields in the master contract and low level contracts matches
2.Copy fields: the values of these fields are copied from master contract into lower level contract .deviating values in the lower level contracts are not allowed
3. proposal fields: like copying fields are be over written
choose the standard reference procedure SDGK and copy it and rename it (ZSDK)
Select our procedure
click on fields control button under dialog structure
go to new entries and maintain entries in the table like below

specify the end date=10
save it and note down the master contract number
Again go to VA41 and raise quantity contract
specify description
specify contract start date and end date (like master contract validity periods)
and assign Master contract number that was created in the previous step
Save it and exit
Go it VA41 of the master contract and check qty contract has been assigned or not
