Interactive Form Help

Hi All,
I created a Interactive Form, but I do not want anyone to have the ability to save their data on the original form; they can "Save As" and rename it anything else with their data, but I want to keep the original form blank...not sure if this is so simple I am tripping all over it, but I can't find this simple procedure anywhere...
i got the message like this
"the document could not be saved,the file may be read only or another user may have it open,please save it document different name or in different folder"

Hi Vinoth,
Set the Property of the UI Elements in your PDF Form as Read-Only. This makes the generated form totally uneditable.
On click of the UI Element( go to Palettes->Value) tab and set the Value as ReadOnly

Search help is not triggering second time in interactive form

Hi,
I have online interactive form in WDABAP. And I have few search helps in the form, If i click on any search help it is opening and I can select the value and the same is populated to the field. But if i click it again search help is not opening.
Only one time it is triggering and also after I clicked one serach help, other search helps also dont work.
Can some one guide me? Is it something to do with scripting or any other configuration?
Now Im using ALD7.1 and Reader version is 8.1.0.
did any one faced this problem? Really appreciate if some one can help me on this.

I have tried placing this code in click event instead of preopen.But still no use. Can we make changes to this code? Can some one give me some idea what changes need to be done..

F4 help for a single field in interactive form

Hi Experts,
I am working in HRAS process.I created a Form Scenario and an Adobe Form. I linked my interactive form in portal using standard Start Processes iView . Now I have to create a value help(F4 help) for 'STATE' field based on 'COUNTRY' field value in adobe form. I filled the Input value Help in the corresponding Form Scenario field. But in portal the adobe form shows the field as a single field only.
How I can I attach the manual F4 help to 'COUNTRY' field?
The how to vary the F4 help values in 'STATE' fied based on 'COUNTRY' field?
Do I need to code in Java script for this?
Please provide some inputs with code sample

Hi Friends
I just developed an application which access ECC
can any one guide me to print the output pdfform
i have opened result interactive form and placed a print button ...next which script i should use? formcalc or
java script..since my application is a java webdynpro .
can you give me the piece of code for that..formcalc
already got the script..but i dont know the exact java script for printing.

i have 3 inputfields on one of my interactive form
i was asked to fill those fileds with predefined data
so that once the app is run, input form fields should
dispaly the predefiend values.in wdinit method i could
do that using wdContext.currentelement.setName("xxx");
i have 3 fields..three are text fields.from the third field need to eneter the date,its a PO Bapi..i did context binding ..i could drag the input fields..
but when iam trying to set predefiend date for the
3rd field..its not accepting it..since it is of type
date.. do i need to create any data type for the 3rd field in javadictionary????plz guide me in this issue

Problem with Input help inside an adobe interactive forms

Hi Experts,
I'm currently implementing a Webdynpro ABAP application containing a Interactive forms.
I'm using Adobe Live Cycle Designer 8.0, Acrobat reader 9.2, Internet Explorer 7.0
My problem is that when I click on the "input help" button inside the adobe form, he automatically refresh all the forms UI element with their initial values. Is-it a refresh event included when we pressed the "Input help" button or an other event? How Can I deactivate that action, event?
Because since he automatically refresh my form data I loose the context current values.

strange, but you could compare the version of the zci scripting
in your form in the hierarchy tab there are variables and the ContainerFoundation_JS script --> the first line

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?

Need help with Adobe Interactive Form Saving

Hi Gurus,
I need your help with Adobe Interactive form saving.
I have written the code in pre-save event to prompt a message when user didn't enter any value before saving. The form data should not be saved upon clicking save (Just prompt the message and exit form the form). Can u please advice me how to do this.

preSave: Failed validations will not prevent the form from being saved however Acrobat/Reader will issue a special warning message, after issuing the validation error message, to inform the user that the validations failed. Iu2019m guessing this is because the user may be saving the form to continue filling it at a later time so the save canu2019t be completely prevented.

Need help with calculated fields in Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi Gurus,
I have an Adobe Interactive form in which i have radio buttons. Upon selecting any of the radio buttons, value in text box should be changed( Calculqated filedS). How i can achieve this?

No, it's working ,with one remark.
I've done a mistake, in the final formula. The logic remain the same! ;)
The calculation values for second column ( COL2 ) are 1,2,3 and not 0,1,2 as I wrote before and as for COL1 are so the formula is
=3*if(COL1="ABC",0,IF(COL1="DEF",1,2)+if(COL2="RST",1,IF(COL2="YYZ",2,3)
and not
=3*if(COL1="ABC",0,IF(COL1="DEF",1,2)+if(COL2="RST",0,IF(COL2="YYZ",1,2)
I created also a real example for you, with 2 dif calculation ways . First I created 2 calc_columns for COL1 and COL2 ( CALC_COL1+CALC_COL and after I added both these 2 column , and second way is to calculate directly) .

Help for-offline interactive forms based on sending receiving mails in ABAP

hello friends i am struck with a requirement of my client.
I am new to Forms and WEBDYNPRO and I have to cover a scenario where I have to develop,'offline interactive forms based on sending receiving emails '..
i browsed a bit and with all the luck found a very good resource.

Search help in online interactive form...

Hi Friends,
I am facing a strange issue with search help.
I have created a Dictionary based interface and included the field for which i want search help.
I have created a search help and attached at the context of webdynpro.
I dragged and dropped the webdynpro native value help on to the field in the layout.
When I executed the web dynpro application and select the value help i am getting the dump saying "Event to be processed is not supported by adapter " Please do the needful at the earliest.
But where as the same value help if i put in adobe with XML interface its working fine.
Please let me know how to correct this error,

You can achieve this by creating a Input Field on the form, you can control the visibility of this input field on the mouseEnter and mouseExit events of the field where you want to provide the help.
Second option is ToolTip. Select the field on which you want to give Bubble help. Go to Accessibility pallette and there in Tooltip section write the text you want to display.

Use Of Dictionary Based search help in adobe interactive form

Hi friends,
I wanted to export the search help value into corresponding field of Adobe interactive form.
I am using dictionary type search help in WD context attribute property. I am able to get the search help popup with right data on form. But if select some value it is not exporting data into the field and getting "entry too longer" error.
Can any one help out for this issue.
Note : Wanted to use only dictionary based search help.

I am working on my first interactive form. I have a couple of fields to which I have attached a search help. However, I am able to use the search help for only one field in a session. If I use the search help on one field then I am unable to use it on another field which uses the search help.
Can some one help? I am new to interactive forms and this is my first form.

Are the Data dictionary fields which you are using contains value range. Because i am only getting value help only for the fields for which there is value range defined in the dictionary. The problem is only for the fields for which there is no value range defined. If you have solution to this problem I will definitely award points to you. Dropdown help on Interactive form in Web Dynpro ABAP.

we are creating an SAP Interactive forms for the Material Master Creation.
We want the value help to be displayed in dropdown boxes for various mandatory fields to be filled up by the user.
Please suggest how to do that??
These helps are there when we create a material master through Transaction mm01.

Could you please clarify.
I had taken a value node in the Context of the view for the field for which i have to display the value help.
I have also bound this value node to the dropdown list on the form by specifying it in the binding tab. Still i am not getting the help.
Do we have to write some code for that in the method tab of the view??

F4 help in online interactive forms using ABAP

I am able to get f4 help in online interactive form using ABAP. but after selecting the value from pop-up the value is not populated in PDF field. Can u help regardiing this.
Question 2:
I am able to get f4 help in online interactive form using value help dropdown, first time if i click the dropdown button it is showing the popup, if i click second time it is not showing the popup.

Hi,
1. I you are woking from the Web Dynpro for ABAP then after binding the Context variable in the view, and in the Adobe Layout Designer from the Library goto WebDynpro Native Tab and drag and drop the Value Help and for this automatically JavaScript is being generated, go that script and edit the line
Var fieldname = "yourfieldname";
Note: dont forget to link the context attribute to search help. ie. in the context properties of the attributes select the input help mode as dictionary search help and specify the name of the search help present in data dictionary.
And now go to Utilities and click on u201CInsert Web Dynpro Scriptu201D.
Also make sure that you specify the Layout as ZCI Layout in the Propertioes of the Adobe Form.
2. Only the Submit button , the Enumerated Drop-Down List as well as the Value help button from the Web Dynpro Native library of Adobe LiveCycle Designer are supported. Check SAP Note: 1098009
