Difference - Truncate and Drop

Question

I know the function of the both. But for performance improvement for huge table, I was told that, Drop and recreate will be more faster than Truncate.
I know that Truncate wont Log, but what else make truncate more slower that Drop and Recreate?
Or is it the other way around?

Drop generates redo and truncate don't generate any
redo so obviously performance of truncates will be
good.
