Interceptor VS proxy VS AOP

interceptor VS proxy VS AOP
3 of these is it the same?

Yes, the reference plugin API has changed between the spec and what's in public trunk, and in fact we're hoping to nail down the last details of that API on Monday.  (The short summary of the planned API is that a PluginInfo can declare a notification function, which will be invoked any time a new MediaElement is created by the MediaFactory that the plugin is loaded into.  So the plugin can gain a "reference" to one or more created MediaElements, and use the MediaElement API to listen to or control that piece of media.)
We'll be release noting this change with the upcoming Sprint 10 drop, but if any of it is still unclear at that point, please reply and we can try to whip up an example.

  • What is a Dynamic Proxy Class or Method for?

    I only recently "discovered" proxy classes/methods.
    Im rather curious about them because I still cant manage
    to understand what they do or what theyre for.
    Can anyone give a simple and practical use for this language feature?
    I read this:
    http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/JavaLP/Interposing/
    Which seems to indicate that proxy classes are for intercepting
    method calls?

  • Java.io.InvalidClassException: org.jboss.proxy.Interceptor...

    Hi there,
    I'm working on a JSP running on a Tomcat server 4.0.1. Such JSP calls a Servlet, which tries to recover an EJB:
         public CommunityEJB getCommunityEJB() throws UnexpectedException
              CommunityEJB lRet = null;
              CommunityEJBHome lhome = null;
              Context jndiContext = null;
              try
                   lhome = (CommunityEJBHome) ServiceLocator.getInstance().getEJBHome(JNDINames.EJB_COMMUNITY);
                   lRet = lhome.create();
              catch (Exception e)
                   UnexpectedException ue = new UnexpectedException(e);
                   logger.throwing(CLASS_NAME, "getCommunityEJB", ue);
                   throw ue;
              return lRet;
    The EJB is recovered though JNDI, running on JBoss 3.2.1. Tomcat server and JBoss are running separately (Tomcat I'm using is not the embedded in JBoss).
    The code above throws the next exception:
    tuamo.core.exception.UnexpectedException: javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is java.io.InvalidClassException: org.jboss.proxy.Interceptor; local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = 4358098404672505200, local class serialVersionUID = 8774269974037850782]
    Can anybody help me with this?
    Thanks!!

    The EJB client jar is out of sync with the EJB server jars. In simple words, you might have recompiled any or all of the following and either only redeployed it on the server or dropped it in the client classpath depending on where did you make the changes.
    home interface
    remote interface
    types being passed over the methods in these interfaces (parameters, return values, etc.)
    I'm not quite sure what you mean by recovering an EJB? Typically its called looking it up.

  • This is already a proxy session Error

    Hello,
    I've been trying to get the proxy user working properly using the Server Session Uses Main Connection and Each Client Session Uses a Separate Pooled Nonexclusive Proxy Connection configuration.
    Things were sort of working when I was using the native data source. By sort of working I mean the writes to the database were sent via the proxied connection, the way they were supposed to. However, there was no connection pool used and performance was VERY BAD. I switched to a connection pool, but now I get the exception below. I am also attaching other relevant code. I use Spring with the ToplinkTransactionController. The exception occurs when I try to do an update (in a transaction) selects work fine. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Problem in creating a java proxy for PHP web service

    This is a problem in generating a java proxy for a PHP webservice.
    I have a PHP service running on Wamp Server and also a PHP client which is able to call the service.
    The WSDL for the PHP web service is also generated .
    I am trying to create a java proxy using the jdev (10.1.3.0.3) from the wsdl file.
    The wsdl generated by the php program is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>

  • How to set proxy while deploying a bpel proxy?

    Hi All,
    How can i set proxy while deploying a bpel process. I'm trying to deploy an async bpel process that requires proxy to be set coz to access one of the xsd file requires to go thru a proxy. I have actually set proxy in the following files, setenv.bat and bpel-install.properties under location soa_home\bpel\bin and soa_home\bpel\system\services\install\ant-tasks respectively. When i try to deploy the process through obant.bat, it compiles file but gives an error while deploying stating that it is not able to access the xsd file. While compiling, the proxy setting is taken from setenv.bat and hence compiles successfully, but while deploying it doesn't seem to take the proxy setting set in bpel-install.properties file. Can anyone help me out as to how i can set proxy while deploying???? I'm using soa suite 10.1.3.3.
    The following is the log file of obant execution :

    The service is there but the code can't get monitoring information. The service monitoring is enabled. Someone could help me?
    Regards
    Rogério

    I too had faced similar issues in the last week.
    Unfortunately this weird behavior is by design. We are getting an exception
    (which is not very informative by itself) because we are attempting to get
    WEBSERVICE_OPERATION statistics for a business service that is not wsdl
    based.
    Unfortunately there is no way we can check whether a service is wsdl based
    or not. Therefore our only option is to requests statistics that we know
    exist, and for others have a try catch block.
    I'm in process of modifying my code and see if it works.

  • Toplink Proxy Authentication with 10.1.3 problem

    Hi,
    I'm are using Toplink Proxy Authentication in a JSF application with SessionFacade pattern and have implemented a preLogin() method of oracle.itech.pil.utils.PILSessionEventManager (which implements SessionEventListener) as described in
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/toplink/doc/1013/main/_html/dblgcfg008.htm. Due to Class Loader problem while loading of SessionEventManager, I'm explicitly loading the Class by doing this:
    try {
    Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().loadClass("oracle.itech.pil.utils.PILSessionEventManager");
    catch(Exception exp) {
    System.out.println("Exception while loading class oracle.itech.pil.utils.PILSessionEventManager "+exp.toString());
    The SessionEventManager is loaded by doing this:
    session.getEventManager().addListener(new PILSessionEventManager());
    (Encountered while using <event-listener-class>oracle.itech.pil.events.PILSessionEventManager</event-listener-class> in sessions.xml file, so removed and added the same using session.getEventManager().addListener(new PILSessionEventManager()) )
    But now, I'm encountering ClassCastException during the login to my application
    The below pasted exception (oracle.oc4j.rmi.OracleRemoteException: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.itech.pil.utils.PILSessionEventManager) is coming when invoking line (Login)session.readObject(oracle.itech.pil.model.Login.class, expression);
    Code :
    XMLSessionConfigLoader xmlLoader =
    new XMLSessionConfigLoader("META-INF/sessions.xml");
    SessionManager sessionMgr = SessionManager.getManager();
    DatabaseSession session =
    (DatabaseSession)sessionMgr.getSession(xmlLoader, "serverSession",

    // Set Listener through Java code

    Any clue why this error, which i am facing since 10 days to complete my task
    Thanks In Advance
    Prashant

    James, what Venkat and Prashant are trying to do is something like this...
    1. If I connect to the DB using scott/tiger then in the preLogin method of the Toplink Session Listener class, the proxy user will connect using something like admin/welcome1 and in the database audit view, the name that shows up SHOULD BE that of admin and NOT of scott. This is called proxy authentication if it works fine.
    We developed the above scenario but in the audit logs, we still see scott instead of admin as the user who connected.
    2. This feature is available in the DB but our objective is to use it through TopLink
    Also see Toplink Proxy Authentication Not Working
    I hope I was able to explain the scenario clearly.
    Any help will be appreciated
    Regards,
    Amit

  • OSB proxy secured with message level protection - No Protocol error

    I have an OSB business service that calls a JAX-WS service protected by OWSM policy wss11_message_protection_service_policy. The business service is protected by the corresponding client policy. The proxy service is secured by wss11_message_protection_service_policy. Business service works fine but the proxy doesn't. It runs into this "no protocol" error below on the outbound. The system is a windows 8 64 bit PC and uses IPV6. The domain path has no spaces (I read online on an unrelated forum that spaces can cause this 'no protocol' error). This error occurs only with the message protection policy. UserName token works fine from proxy->business svc->webservice.  There are no issues with the certificates because I am able to call the webservice using a jax-ws client using the certificates in keystore.
    Caused By: java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: /OSBProject/proxy/HelloS

  • Flash.utils.Proxy Question

    hi list,
    I am trying to extend flash.utils.Proxy so that I can
    intercept calls
    made on an innerObject and provide cross cutting
    services/advices like
    writing to a log or caching... (AOP...)
    The big problem is that the user of the innerObject needs to
    be aware
    of the ProxyClass otherwise - calls will not be intercepted.
    for example:
    a proxy factory class looks like this-
    public class ProxyFactory
    private var _target:*;
    public function ProxyFactory(target:*){
    _target = target;
    public function GetProxy():*{
    var proxy:AOPProxy = new AOPProxy(_target);
    return (proxy);
    and the usage:
    var person:Person = factory.GetProxy();
    this will produce a runtime casting exception!!
    the fix is to do something like this:
    var person:AOPProxy = factory.GetProxy();
    or even -
    var person:* = factory.GetProxy();
    BUT - this is bad because the user of the factory is aware of
    the
    proxy AND he loose code assist... he cannot see the
    properties of the
    Person Class.
    Does anybody know of a better way (maybe creating runtime
    code
    generated proxies??- code emission...)
    Thanks,

    it looks a bit strange for a developer to have to instantiate
    objects via a factory to get some AOP functionality. Doesn't this
    tie you down to the specific AOP framework you are using, or am I
    missing something?
    I agree - it was just an example - the question is does
    flash.utils.Proxy is the proper direction to provide AOP in
    ActionScript3?
    quote:
    Have you checked out the AOP framework of as2lib (
    http://www.as2lib.org/)?
    yes I did - its ActionScript2 - and it use deprecated API in
    ActionScript3
    - I'm trying to write my own AOP implementation to
    Flex...
    - do you have any idea?

  • No logs flowing in uio log of UIO Apache Proxy configured for OAAM 11gR2

    Hi,
    I had configured and tested the UIO proxy and OAAM deployment.
    Configured the UIO logging as per documentation.
    But the HTTP traffic logs are not flowing in uio.log; infact no logs are flowing in uio.log.
    This is very much required for me to write interceptors.
    UIO Proxy is configured on Apache Webserver running on Win 2008 R2
    Can you please let me know how uio logs are enabled ?
    THanks

  • Proxying a request from MSPL to UCMA when the call is destined for a federated user?

    I'm trying to create an MSPL application that intercepts calls and proxies them to a UCMA application. An extremely simplified version of this would be something like:
    if(sipRequest)
    ProxyRequest("sip:[email protected];gruu;opaque=srvr:interceptor:G358JzT9SV6-uVxE3biQsgAA");
    I installed my script on my front ends, and it works for user->user calls, inbound and outbound mediation server calls, and inbound federated calls, but for some reason I can't get redirection like this working for outbound federated calls.
    If I try to INVITE a user on a federated domain, the request doesn't get picked up by my script.  It appears that it's bypassing the front end and going straight to the edge.  If I install the same script on the edge, the script attempts to proxy
    the request, but it comes back with a 404, probably because the edge is trying to redirect to an internal endpoint.  I suppose I have two questions here:
    1-why is the original INVITE on the call to the federated user (which should be going through the FE, right?) not triggering my script?  I've set allowRegistrationBeforeUserServices to true, and installed with priority 1, which is above most other applications
    on the server.
     2-is there a way to change the edge server script to get the proxy to go back internally?  I did test creating a 302 and setting the contact header to the SIP URI of my application, and that worked, but it meant losing the original TO address
    that I need inside the UCMA app.  There may still be a way to pass it through, but I don't want to start fighting with headers that may get stripped out.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    It looks like "domainSupported" is not quite properly documented.  It really does the opposite of what we document.
    Setting it to true will cause only messages for domains that are locally supported to be sent to your application.  Setting it to false will allow all domains to be sent to your application.
    Make sure you have it set to false (or exclude it completely since it defaults to false, another error in the docs).
    When I do this my application sees the invite destined to a federated partner.  It doesn't even need to be registered before user services in this case.

  • Wrap Stub with dynamic proxy?

    Hi All,
    I am looking for the answer of this question from couple of days.
    I want to create an Interceptor chains on RMI level for an EJB client communicating with an Application server.
    This client can communicate using RMI/JRMP or RMI/IIOP, nevertheless the semantics is RMI.
    I want to wrap the stub on client side (Maybe static stub already placed on classpath / dynamic downloaded stub) with dynamic proxy and
    want to apply some interceptors on it before actual invocation of method.
    Is there anyway to wrap stubs with dynamic proxy in any existing client(with no source code only binary form)?

    But you're not doing that. You are casting String to Comparable.Why do you think so?
    System.out.print("Proxy is instance of Comparable? ");
    System.out.println(Proxy.newProxyInstance(Comparable.class.getClassLoader(), new Class[] { Comparable.class },new Proxer(new String("String1"))) instanceof Comparable);
    System.out.print("Proxy is instance of String? ");
    System.out.println(Proxy.newProxyInstance(Comparable.class.getClassLoader(), new Class[] { Comparable.class },new Proxer(new String("String1"))) instanceof String);
    System.out.print("Proxy is instance of Object? ");
    System.out.println(Proxy.newProxyInstance(Comparable.class.getClassLoader(), new Class[] { Comparable.class },new Proxer(new String("String1"))) instanceof Object);
    Output:
    Proxy is instance of Comparable? true
    Proxy is instance of String? false
    Proxy is instance of Object? true

  • Weblogic EJB 3 proxy & EJB 3 session bean interface

    Does the weblogic EJB 3 session bean proxies implement the bean interface ?
    I tried accessing the session bean from within a EJB 3 interceptor - InvocationContext.getTarget()
    But it looks like this returns a proxy (created by weblogic internally) that does not implement the bean interface.
    I'm unable to integrate Hibernate method validator as a result since the validator API expects the target to either be the actual bean implementation or at least a proxy
    that implements the bean interfaces. Can somebody please confirm ?
    I'm on weblogic 10.3
    thanks!

    You should be able to see the code we generate by running the weblogic.appc utility on your application, specifying the "-keepgenerated" option to keep the Java source files.
