Interface to CRM?

How can we send data to crm from our r/3 system?
Is it by means of idocs or bapis ?
if idocs, whatare the settings need to be done in r/3 in specific to send this idocs to crm system and whatare  the other settings required in crm?
Thanks
Kiran

The data in CRM and ECC are kept in sync through BDOC (Business Documents) settings which are to be maintained by BASIS persons/team using system configuration. If you want to send IDOC for any custom developments you have to follow these steps:
1)Creating Logical Systems using tcode SALE
2)Create RFC using tcode SM59
3)Create Distribution model using tcode BD64
4)Check port using tcode WE21
5)Create Partner profile using WE20
6)Create message type WE81
7)Attach message type with idoc type through WE82
8)Create and attach segments through WE31/WE30
9)Call FM MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE
You have to maintain port and partner profile in both systems.
Hope this helps.

On a regular basis People Soft can deliver text files (txt) in predefined format and with a predefined name. This data can be uploaded to the SAP CRM system via LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench). The LSM workbench is and SAP R/3 based tool that supports in transferring data from non-SAP systems to SAP systems. To assist in developing the LSMW objects CATT (Computer Aided Test Tool) can been used to identify the fields and format to be interfaced. The CATT functionality will be converted to LSMW.
In my opinion, Internal employees can be created in SAP CRM and can be assigned to the organizational structure. In this way a relation between the internal employee and his sales organization can established.Internal employee master data is not recommended to be interfaced.

  • How to add a new Field to the WEB User Interface in CRM 2007

    Dear experts,
I have been struggling to add a new field to the (CRM 2007) user interface from available fields for a specific view.
I have maintained settings in BS__WD_CMPWBàRuntime Repository editoràComponentàViewàConfigurationàNew ConfigurationàAvailable FieldsàField Propertiesàand save.
But the field is only appearing in display mode in the Web UI, which doesnu2019t allows any user input.
I need your help to resolve the issue, I would be grateful if you could provide step-by-step documentation with screenshots or any other kind of documentation.
    Each suggestion will be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Raghu ram.

    Hi Raghu Ram,
I think you added a new custom field using some method like EEWB etc.,
Then, you are adding the field onto the UI using UI Configuration Tool .. right ?
These are the steps to diagnose:
Method 1.Check the field properties in the model browser first.
It should be showing 'C' i.e., CHANGEABLE. If it is showing as 'R', it is only READABLE.
In such a case you need to find a BADI to change the field properties.
For example, in Marketing Applications OBJ BADI has a method CHANGE FIELD PROPERTIES for this purpose.
Method 2. Debug and check what is the value coming for RV_DISABLED parameter in the GET_I method in BSP_WD_CMPWB. This should be FALSE.
Method 3. Check what are the field properties in the UI Configuration tool.
Make sure it is not a display only field.

  • XI Interface With CRM RFC

I have a BAPI in CRM that I call from XI via RFC. In CRM, I want to be able to see what happens with the function; whether it fails, abends, etc. I have some strange things happen and am trying to trouble shoot the cause. From the XI side, all looks like it went well.

    Hi,
What version of CRM are you using ?
Try running transaction SPROXY in CRM and see if anything happens.
If so, check under your namespace and see if you can see your interface defined. If you can then just right click on your interface to generate the required ABAP proxy.
I have just finished a CRM/XI project and the majority of integration was done using ABAP proxies. Any functions that were called were inside the ABAP proxy instead of using the RFC adapter. It was far easier and quicker doing it this method instead.
Only use IDOCs if the standard IDOC fits your requirement - otherwise do not bother.
    Cheers
    Colin.

  • Standard Interface for CRM System

: What standard interface does the CRM system expose to XI? For e.g. Standard IDocs or BAPI? If yes give details about the same. If NO standard IDocs / BAPI are available then do we need to write one?

    Gareth,
CRM has an external interface adapter (XIF) that can send all CRM DATA to external systems. You only need to setup an RFC-destination, a XIF-site (much like the R/3 site),  subscribe to the data that you want and indicate the interface format. You can choose between Idocs and XML.
The XML will be send directly to the XI. If you choose idocs, you'll have to setup an outbound idoc profile and an outbound port to interface the idocs to the XI system.
Example: suppose that you subscribe business partners to the XI-site in an XML format, then CRM will send all business partner changes to the IP address of the XI.
    Grtz,
    Michael.

  • Interface for CRM Customer Hierarchy

Hi.  We are using a standalone CRM system and would like to have an interface for customer hierarchies.  There are some CRMXIF * idocs and also a BUPA_HIER* idoc type in the system.
Has anybody have any experience in creating an external interface to customer hierarchies?
Any help or documentation is appreciated. We are on version 5.0.
The idoc types that I found
    BUPA_HIERARCHY_INBOUND_SAVE_01
    CRMXIF_PARTNER_HIER_SAVE_S01
    CRMXIF_PARTNER_HIER_SAVE01

    Hi Mehdi,
    yes, it is possible.
create Customer Hierarchy variable on Customer Hierarchy, in selection screen user can select on of the node and, by expanding that node all customers under that node will be displayed.

  • Standard-interfaces between crm and sap for insurance

    Hello,
are there existing documentations to connect crm and sap for insurance components (policy management, claims managment, fs-cd)?

20,000 is on quite higher side for IDOC.
IBIP help doc says it needs 2 Kbyte for each record, i.e. 40 Mb for 20,000 rec. that should be ok. Since it has structures for Partner & classification data , I don't think u need to modify the BAPI.

    Transaction IE02 - Change equipment
    Structure - IBIPEQUI Equipment record

  • XIF Interface for Activities in CRM 5.0

    Hi,
I am planning to use XIF interface for data load and on-going interface for CRM activities. I have extended Activity structure with some Z fields using EEWB and it generated all of the necessary structures (BDOCs etc.) When I go to BDFG and create a new message type(ZCRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE) as a copy of CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE, it does not include those Z fields from EEWB in the IDOC segments. ( I think they are suppose to be in the segment E101CI_EEW_CUSTOMER_H). During the generation, it seems to be hitting a namespace violation. Is there a slick way of solving this issue without making a mod using the debugger as OSS notes say.

  • Unable to capture trace, when user logs in throuigh Web Interface

The Trace shows 'No Records Found', when user logs in through Web Interface of CRM. But there is Trace found, when the same user logs in through logon pad and carries out normal actvities.
    sufficient auth. is provided.
Is there any setting in ST01, through which i can get trace , when user logs in through Web Interface
    Regards

    ST10 traces 1 instance only.
Your CRM web interface could use another instance than your backend. Go to transaction SM21, choose the appropriate server and run ST10 again.
    Succes!

  • Create Transaction (of CRM system) as Receiver thru "RSBBS" TCode for query

    Hello,
My requirement is to Jump to a SAP-CRM transaction from a BEx query.
Thru TCode : RSBBS, I selected "TRANSACTION" as receiver of a query, then I selected "CROCLNT002" as the source, then in the Report field I gave the SAP-CRM Transaction "crmd_order" and selected OK.
Then, I tried to execute the query thru Web, On the Context Menu's 'Go To' property, I clicked on the Transaction, It gives me the following errors:
"No Web server maintained for the presentation of log. system CROCLNT002"
    "Jump target cannot be executed"
" An error occurred with the report to report interface during the jump"
Do I need to execute some other steps also in order for this to function smoothly. Thanks to help me in understanding the loop hole.
    Best Regards,
    Sumita

    Sumita,
This is 'coz your CRM client CR0CLNT002 might be a WINGUI and not a WEBGUI interface. CRM does provide a WEBGUI for its CRM 4.0 or later if you need to be jump to a transaction from Web report.
You can jump to a WINGUI from a BEx report as an alternative. So you will have to make a choice.

  • Need help to enable trace/logging for java debugging CRM 5.0 WebShop

    Dear experts,
I'm new to sap, and i'm working on CRM 5.0 WebShop J2ee application with nwdi.
I have to add a new functionnality, which has to call a custom FM in CRM. This FM has been tested and is OK.
I have read the 2 files SAP_ISA50_DevAndExtGuide.pdf and ISA50_DevAndExtTuts_v1_0.pdf which have explain to me the process flow and organization of the framework.
By helping me with the tutorials, I wrote all the files for my functionnality, from the jsp with the form, to the custom business backend with the call of the FM with parameters and JCo connection. (+ custom BOM, custom BO, BE interface, BE CRM implementation)
Everything builds without error, and I deploy the application on my test env.
Then I go to my webapp, I call the custom jsp with form, I put values, then I validate the form, but my FM is not called, and I don't know where is the problem, because I can't see a trace of the process flow, to know where is the error.
By searching in this forum I found 2 notes that explain how to activate debug trace for all the application, one note for systems before SP11 and another for systems with SP11 and higher. But I don't know how to see the patchlevel of the system (I went to system information of the j2ee server and the on ly thing I can notice is below the server0 properties : Kernel Version:  7.00 PatchLevel.
In these notes I read about Visual Administrator : I found this directly on the server with remote desktop, but the progress bar at the bottom of the window don't arrives to 100% and I can't see the properties and values of the parameters for the Log.
I went to XCM too, and set appinfo and logfiledownload to true, then went to Logging into e-commerce administration console : in the Log configuration tab, I can create new configurations but the effective severity automatically sets to error, even if I set All or Debug manually ; in the session log tab, i tried to launch the application, then start log, then validate my form, then stop log, but I can't find anything about the trace of the process flow in the generated file.
Please help, I have to finish this for end of week and I'm alone ...
PS I'm french, and don't speak very well English please excuse me.
    Thank you very much.
    J. Lag.

  • RFC start on explicit host - fast sync interface options to iSeries

    Hi all,
Sorry if this is going to be a bit long..
Back on my old stomping grounds, times change, so do backend systems, we're now running SAP on Unix/Oracle with iseries SAP systems being phased out. This also meant that I moved from hardcore as400 techie to a more intermediate figure between application and real basis. Oh well.
I have an interesting situation though. We need to establish an ATP check interface between Unix/Oracle CRM 5.0 and our legacy iseries application. ATP check is basically checking if stock is present for a customer order. The check is performed during ordering so it should be realtime and fast.
A number of people with more money than knowledge decided the best bet was to implement a biztalk webservice between CRM and iseries. The webservice would call a stored procedure via jdbc. It'll work I'm convinced.
We have been given until monday to come up with a good alternative (which basically means the weekend..)
From an infrastructure point of view I do not want this at all for several reasons.
Our main applications are SAP and legacy as400 with SAP XI in the middle, so at least if we use a intermediate system we should use XI. Introducing a new platform is foolish and bad for maintenance and support
Since the interface should be lean and mean I'm thinking maybe bypass XI as well. Basically these are the options for this interface:
1: CRM HTTP (RFC) to XI to as400 stored procedure
2: CRM HTTP (RFC) to XI to apache webserver
3: CRM HTTP RFC directly to iseries apache webserver
option 2 could be useful if we have to do a lot of mapping in the interface (which I do not expect)
Apache webservers call a iseries program which will (probably) send back back a XML with the stock info
Then I looked into my old iseries on as400 redbook and found these two further options:
4: Using a CPI-C connection from CRM to iseries for direct program call (SG244672 12.7.1)
5: using a RFC connection from CRM to iseries for direct program call (SG244672 12.7.2)
I'm not too familiar with cpi-c so I investigated the RFC option a bit. The tests I have done sofar have either failed because of firewall issues or because this option is not supported in certain system implementations (SAP on iseries 46d does not allow it
The one issue I'm not certain about yet is whether the receiving iseries system needs a SAP gateway. Since it is completely legacy at the moment it has no SAP components at all. If I would have to install a SAP gateway for this I'm not sure if we're still lean and mean.
So questions: is there any experience with option 5 to iseries? If option 5 does not seem feasible I'll probably advice to go to option 3, we have some experience with that and will also definitely work.
Any other comments on these infrasructure scenario's are very welcome too!
    Thanks
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
tja, what shall we say ?
if you are really interested in a VERY fast and "rock-stable" solution, RFC should be your friend ))
We are having lots of eperience with your "option 5" ...
    We even support that
You can have a look at:
    http://www.consolut.net/en/s/download/contool.html
There are tools available, that could help you ... and they do work ... but I think, there is no documentation attached to that ...
The biggest issue in my eyes is your timeframe and the current weekend ...
We could definetely help you here and make it to a fast and reliable solution ...

  • CRM Funtion Module to update customer

    Hi,
My scenario is CRM>XI>Webservice (Async). The customer has their own home grown legacy system where they maintain the customer data (master & transactional).
CRM IC Webclient is used as front end. There is a minimal amount of data that has been replicated from the legacy to CRM system like the customer info and etc. The user will change the CustomerName & Address in the CRM system and upon submit it has to go via XI and call a pre-existing webservice which inturn will update the customer system.
As we want to accomplish this scenario out-of-the-box are there any standard IDOCs or RFCs or BAPIs available in the CRM system. If so please give the name of the module.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Krishnan,
As you are saying that you have XI adaptor configured, please make necessary configuration and developments in XI.
1 Create proper data type in XI which holds the same input common between XI and CRM.
2 assign data type to message type in XI.
3 assign message type interface type in XI.
4.Configure and open the communication channels between XI and CRM.
All these things shud be done at XI side and preferably an XI resource would do this.
Once this is done or already done, you will have a proxy associated to this particular interface in CRM ...Inside this proxy you will have to develop and built this proxy( write the code for calling FM CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE) which will be triggered to XI as an output message.

  • Materials are not downloading automatically from R/3 to CRM

    Dear All,
My R/3 team has created 10 new u201Cmaterialsu201D in R/3 system and these materials suppose to interface to CRM automatically, but it was not.
Before creating these new u201Cmaterialsu201D in R/3 I should have download the u201Cmaterial groupsu201D to CRM. But mistakenly I created the material in R/3 on 14/04/2009 and I downloaded the material groups to CRM on 16/04/2009.
Does u think this delay stopping automatic u201Cmaterialsu201D replication from R/3 to CRM?
I even check for middleware errors in SMW01, but i did not find any error messages.
    Kindly advice!
    Regards,
    Silpa.

    Hi Arup,
    Thanks for the reply,
I undersatnd that, before we download the "materials from" R/3 to CRM, "material groups" must be exist as "categories" in CRM system.
Materials created in R/3 on 13/04/2009, but materials groups have been downloaded to CRM on 16/04/2009, that's why system unable to interface the materials to CRM automatically.
System tried to interface the new materials on 13/04/2009 but it could not , because new material groups not available in CRM at that time.
Since our material groups are existed in CRM system, we would like to download the 10 newly created materials from R/3 to CRM system.
Please tell me what load i have to execute ?
R3AS (Adapter object -Material) - Initial donwload ?
R3AR4 (Adapter object -Material) - Start request ?
Is there any way to system to donwload  them automatically ?
    Regards,
    Silpa.
